Where does rented movies show up on ATV2?

On my ATV gen 1, when I rent movies I can see them(status, etc) on the top when in the movies section. I tried to rent a movie on ATV2, it did say it checked on itune store okay, etc. However I can't see it on my ATV2 nor see the download status?

My understanding is that rented movies can be viewed on only one device - the device that originally received the movie. Consequently, they can not be synced.
I can not explain why you see them twice in iTunes.

Why won't my rented movie show up on my ipad?

I've rented plenty of movies before so I know how it's supposed to work. I rented the movie, moved it to the iPad, synced, and my purple video bar goes up to show the movie is syncing, but when it says it's finishing the sync, the purple video bar suddenly goes way down and it doesn't put the movie onto the ipad. HOWEVER, on my imac in itunes, it shows the video is on my ipad. But, look in Videos on the ipad and it isn't there. I tried searching my ipad for the movie, and got nothing. It isn't there. So, i went back to delete the movie from the ipad and was going to sync and then move it back to the ipad and sync again, but now i get a message saying that if i delete the movie from my ipad i'll have to rent the movie again. ***? It shows the movie is on the ipad, but seriously... it isn't. My IOS is up to date.

No...rentals will still appear in the Videos app and like you said, a Spotlight Search should reveal them if they are actually on the iPad.
You did try the basic stuff, like close the videos app, reboot the iPad? You should ba able to "move" the rental back to iTunes on your iMac without penalty of having to rent it again.

If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

when I buy a movie it is located after a while in my Itunes server.
but when I rent a movie, where is the file located? in what folder?
is it possible to transfer the file to Itunes and watch it there?

well, that is not completely the truth.
I friend of mine have one and he wanted to try this. so we did and we in the end dont recommend it.
the apple tv now feel "sluggish" and is way slower in the menu system.
acually the goal was to run other formats on it, but they tend to stop, and not run flawlessly as the mp4 files does.
the whole thing has led to me starting to convert all my files to mp4 instead of getting the apple tv running all other formats.
all by all mp4 is the format that makes good size vs quality rate.
all by all the apple tv menu and system is best in original state.

Airplay rented movie from iPad to ATV2

Hi - I rented a movie on my iPad and then wanted to playback on my ATV2 using Airplay, however when I try to do this I just get a timer, or sometimes a frozen image of the start of the film on the TV or content Not Supported on this device. Should this work? I can play purchased content from the iPad via Airplay.

Ok, I fixed it. The router was set to use wireless mode G only. Changing it to use b of g fixed the problem. Clearly he iPad and ATV2 support 802.11g as i could stream non rented video but there must be a problem with using the g only mode for rentals. No idea why.

Where does Folder Redirect show up on VM?

Which device RDP client you are using?
To check redirected folder we need to enter the share path of the folder such as \\Server\abc, after this it will display the shared folder. But to access this redirected folder the user must have enough permission.

Where does iMovie move the .dv files I've imported?

When I rip footage off my Sony camcorder, I get all the .dv clips in one project. Where are those .dv clips located? I can't find them in spotlight (by searching ".dv" or "dv" or "clip 01").
I want to know because I want to be able to use clips from different projects. Also, I'm worried that if I delete a clip from a project, I will never find that clip again. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

What appears to be a single iMovie HD project file is actually a package.
You can view its contents by selecting it in the finder and control-clicking (or right clicking it) and choosing Show Package Contents.
iMovie 5 also allows you to cut and paste clips among projects as well as drag clips to the desktop right from iMovie. The clip will be copied to the desktop.
These features make it easy to use the same clips in multiple projects.

Where does the movie that iMovie prepares go?

I wait for an hour while imovie prepares the movie for iDVD. All seems fine. But then I run out of time and iDVD gets closed. I assume that the prepared movie is there somewhere, but next morning I cannot find it.
Does it get erased if iDVD is closed? Does that mean I have to allocate the time both for imovie preparation of the movie and for work with iDVD? Otherwise I'll lose it??

1) Is there a way to get my I-movie 11 project over to Final Cut? I tried to find I-movie 6 but apparently, it is no longer on the site for download. I have final cut but it won't import the project. Or will it?
1a. No not as an editable project with transitions, texts and so on in a still editable way - BUT
• You can Export out raw material to be used in FinalCut - and -
• You can Export out as full quality QuickTime movie and use this in FinalCut as template and re-build project ontop of this
1b. iMovie HD6 has never been free to be downloaded - has to be bought and now as second handed - try e-bay
2)The quality is pretty bad when I go to I-DVD. Is there a suggestion for a better video editing program? I hear Final Cut is on the way out cause it's too complex. Premier? Vegas?
2a. This has several layers depending on
• What material is used
• DVD is as standard only SD-video (No HD-DVD)
• DVDs are interlaced and then video-editor should export this
iMovie'08 to 11 don't handle interlaced video
iMovie HD6 and FinalCut does -- and deliver full quality over to iDVD.
2b. FinalCut has gone trough same disaster as did iMovie so the new version is no evolution from FinalCut Pro 1 to 7 or Express 1 to 4. It's wrongly named and iMovie X Pro might be more close to the truth.
If You are home in iMovie'08 to 11 - I guess that FinalCut Pro X will be familiar to You and might work very well.

Where does Runtime NPE show the line of error?

When I compile my program it's fine. However, when I try to run it I get a NullPointerException error in the command prompt. Does it say which line the error is occuring on?

What about reading whatever is written on the console?

When downloading I tunes to Windows 8 is it compatible and where does the download show up after its installed? It says the download is done but I cant find the application

I tunes says the download is complete... but I dont see it anywhere. Does it work on Windows 8?

Where does a movie go after I choose download later while redeeming a code?

Hello All,
I was redeeming a code for "The Cabin in the Woods" blu-ray and it was successful. However, I chose to save the download for later because I had a couple of other movies downloading and now I can't find it to download it. I can see the film on my iPhone 6 Plus but I can't find it on my PC or my iTunes. Any help would be of great service.

Open iTunes.
Choose Store > Check for Available Downloads.
