Where does Safari store the full list of sites visited?

I have just started using Safari on my computer and noticed that it pulls down an immense list of site suggestions as soon as I start typing an URL. On closer inspection, these are all sites that I have visited in the past, with other browsers (IE and Mozilla/ Firefox).
Where did Safari go to get this information?
I usually set my browsers to auto erase of history, cookies, etc., so I wasn't aware that these records were being stored in my computer - and I sure would like to know where exactly.
Thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to shed some light on this.

Hi
I think the autofill information comes from your bookmarks (if you have cleared the history)

  • Where does NI hide the full list of bug fixes? and why is it hidden from users?

    So I get an enticing email begging me to try the august 2009 release of LabVIEW. Ok. I'm twitching with anticipation. I'd like to know if several specific bugs are fixed in a new release of a specific module, however. Otherwise I'd prefer to install it some other time when I'm not busy writing dlls to compensate for the bugs that I hope are now fixed. I've been clicking in circles on the NI website trying to find complete information regarding changes and as is entirely far too typical of NI, I only have access to an anemic, watered down version of what should be proper documentation.
    "LabVIEW Readme—Use this file to learn
    important last-minute information about LabVIEW, including installation
    and upgrade issues, compatibility issues, a partial list of bugs fixed
    in the current version of LabVIEW... bla bla bla"
    Where is the full list of bug fixes? I don't care if it isn't spellchecked or if it's sloppy; I just want the information. The readme you provide for the specific module I'm interested in is ridiculously small. I know darned well you must have changed more than what is listed. So what secret vault do I have to burgle to find the full list of bug fixes? Am I just missing an obvious hyperlink?

    They are locked-up in the Ivory Tower.
    I have been a LabVIEW Champion for about four years and even after signing NDA's I still can't see the full list.
    Seruously, the full list includes probably millions of bugs that NI finds internally before you and I ever see it.
    The best way to handle your situation is to track the CAR's for your bugs. You can call NI support with the CAR number and they can tell you if the bug was fixed and in which version you will find the fix.
    If it has not been fixed you can contact you rlocal NI rep and ask them to look into it for you. They may be able to tell you in which release the fix is scheduled and bump up the priority of the fix if you make a good arguement.

  • Safari History Location - where does Safari store its history? (unfortunately I deleted it when running CCleaner...)

    Safari History Location - where does Safari store its history? (unfortunately I deleted it when running CCleaner...) Now I would like to restore it via Time Machine

    Hi..
    If you deleted your Safari history, you may not be able to restore using TM but give this a try...
    Go to    ~/Library/Safari
    Look for the History.plist file.
    Best to not use third party utlities such as CCleaner. They tend to do more harm than good.

    iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/

  • Where does portal store the username after a successful log in?

    We have an intranet application, we use the portal security and login screen, etc.
    I have written a stored procedure which requires two parameters. One of them we already have at the time we need to call it. The other is username. All we need
    to know is how to get the username at the time we must call it. Where does portal store the username after a successful log in for the particular session this user is logged into?
    I tried using the following syntax,
    When i log in using PORTAL30 then it returns,
    SQL> select portal30.wwctx_api.get_user()
    2 from dual;
    PORTAL30.WWCTX_API.GET_USER()
    PORTAL30
    But when i logged in using some other user i.e.rtemps it returns,
    SQL> connect rtemps@mpdb
    Enter password: *******
    Connected.
    SQL> select portal30.wwctx_api.get_user()
    2 from dual;
    PORTAL30.WWCTX_API.GET_USER()
    PUBLIC
    Why does it return PUBLIC, instead of RTEMPS?
    rtemps is a Database user though.
    How do i test this script for portal users?
    Also my application is a multiple user application.
    So at a given time, there could be more than user logged in, also there could be more than one sessions of the same user logged in.
    what happens in that scenario?
    Thank you,
    Kalpa

    still not working..
    The first page my user goes to log in, is
    http://159.225.218.59/pls/portal30_sso/portal30_sso.draw_custom_login_page
    when i look at this stored procedure, it makes a call to the following procedure,
    PORTAL30_SSO.wwsso_app_admin.ls_login
    and passes a parameter ssousername
    From here my user is directed to the home page, which is built using the portlets, the URL for the same is,
    http://159.225.218.59/servlet/page?_pageid=255,257&_dad=portal30&_schema=PORTAL30
    This is where i want to pass the ssousername, so as to keep track of what the user is doing.
    Question 1: where does this page physically reside, or how do i add the parameter ssousername to this page?
    I have 1 HTML PORTLET, on this page, and the code behind this looks like,
    <!-- PL/SQL Language Definition Section -->
    <%@ page language="PL/SQL" %>
    <%@ plsql parameter="i_pagenum" default="1" %>
    <body>
    <table width = 760>
    <tr>
    Link 1
    </tr>
    </table>
    In the above code, when they click on link 1, it calls a database stored procedure(rpt_param_prov), which is also a psp page.
    In here, i want to pass the parameter ssousername.
    e.g. the link should look like,
    Link 1
    Again this is a HTML portlet, so i don't think it will recognize the psp tags.. so that probably might be another issue.
    But this is what i want to accomplish. So i can use the user who logged in, for my audit trail application, which will be inserting a record in a database table, everytime, the user runs reports that are being clicked.. like link 1 in above example.
    I don't understand why this is so hard.
    When i tried
    portal30.WWCTX_API.get_user, it still brings back PUBLIC or PORTAL30_PUBLIC.

  • Where does Keynote store the audio files in a presentation

    I have slides with individual audio files. When I import or attach the file and then save the presentation, it changes the file name to .mov extension. Where does Keynote store those files? I would like to edit the saved Keynote version, but cannot locate the .mov file!

    I'm not exactly sure of what you want to do, and I'm not sure if my answer is the most efficient, or even wholly correct, but here goes ...
    When you save a KN presentation (a KN doc) which includes an audio (or movie) file, you can save it 2 (3?) ways: either without or with the file being copied into the document, or as a "package". In a test file I just made with 3 white slides (title, slide with song, second slide with song) the results:
    without: 3.8 MB; with: 9.4 MB; package: 9.4 MB. The essential difference, aside from size, is that if saved without, if you play the KN on another machine which doesn't have those audio files on it, the audio won't be there. To make the KN truly portable, you must save with, or as a package. (I'm not too sure of the concept of package in KN. In PP, saving as a package means you end up with a folder, which contains the PP and the media files, each as separate entities. Saving a KN package yields not a folder but a file, which looks to me identical to the result achieved by simply saving with, and seems to behave identically, as well.) The audio file you used will in any case remain where it was before you used it, but, if the KN doc is saved with, or as a package, a copy of it will go into the KN doc.
    But then, what do you mean by "edit"? What do you want to edit, the KN presentation, or the audio file within it? If the former, I don't understand where the problem might be. If the latter: using the QT inspector within KN, you can change the length of the audio file (where in the song it starts and stops), whether to start it on click, or automatically after transition, or to loop it. If you wanted to do some other, more exotic audio editing, like reverbs or other effects, I'd do that on (a copy of) the original audio file (found wherever it was before) with another app (GarageBand, for instance), and then I'd replace the first, non-edited, version of the audio file in the KN doc with that.
    Have I missed something?
    Message edited by gbdoc: maybe someone will chime in to clarify the difference between "saved with" and a "package"

  • Where does iMovie store the individual clips?

    I know where iMovie stores the project file (which has all the clips inside it), but where does it put each individual clip itself? I want to edit them using another program, but the only way I can do it for now is by opening the project file and exporting each individual clip.

    Hi Steve
    My bet is that it will crach Your project.
    I would if satisfied with my editing. Copy back to Camera to TWO new miniDV
    tapes. Carefully secure that there is a great overlap - say several minutes.
    (Why - errors on miniDV tapes are more common in beginning and end of tape)
    Then when ready - delet the movie project and - re-import tapes into a
    new project.
    ALL editings will be un-undo-able. So this is a nerve shattering experience.
    Alt. Get a big external hard disk !!! Mac Extended - formatted !!!
    Mac Exchange / DOS / UNIX formatted WILL NOT do.
    And copy the movie project to this for further editings or just to store it.
    (I don't use "Empty - trash" in iMovie even if several in this forum says that's
    not so destructive as in previous versions of iMovie)
    Yours Bengt W

  • Where does flash stores the local shared object data

    HI All,
    I'm using shared object to store local data:
                    var so:SharedObject = SharedObject.getLocal(storageName);
                    // Store the data
                    so.data.userName = userName;
                    so.flush();
    Where does it actually saved on my hard disk (in windows vista operating system).
    10x,
    Lior

    http://livedocs.adobe.com/flex/201/html/wwhelp/wwhimpl/common/html/wwhelp.htm?context=Live Docs_Book_Parts&file=lsos_087_3.html
    The term local refers to the location of the shared object.
    In this case, Adobe Flash Player stores the SharedObject file locally
    in the client's home directory.
    When you create a shared object, Flash Player creates a new
    directory for the application and domain. It also creates an empty
    *.sol file that stores the SharedObject data. The default location of
    this file is a subdirectory of the user's home directory. On Windows,
    this directory is the following by default:
    c:/Documents and Settings/username/user_domain/Application Data/Macromedia/Flash Player/web_domain/path_to_application/ApplicationName/objectName.sol
    If you request an application named MyApp.mxml on the local host, in the Flex context, and within a subdirectory named /sos, Flash Player stores the *.sol file in the following location on Windows:
    c:/Documents and Settings/username/user_domain/Application Data/Macromedia/Flash Player/#localhost/flex/sos/MyApp.mxml.swf/objectName.sol

  • Where does FCP store the voice-overs/narration clips?

    Just did a 'my bad'.
    Just left the distant remote location where I've been editing a film for three months.  Used the voice-over function on FCP extensively.  But, ooops, forgot to go find the subsequent files in whatever folder FCP stores them in, and transfer them to the drive I'm now traveling with (that supposedly should have the whole film on it).
    I wonder if someone could steer me to where FCP automatically stores it's voice-over files once recorded?
    Would be much appreciated,
    Ben

    Thank you Studio X and Nick,
    Duh.  And silly of me not to soooo carefully go through the Capture Scratch before leaving that little island in the North Atlantic.
    Now I have to remind myself how to access a computer remotely, get someone to turn on the beast parked in a beautiful little white church hanging over the North Atlantic ... with a hundred wild caribou in the meadow behind, I kid you not, every day.  I could stand there and watch them from 30 feet away for hours.  Cool caribou.
    Much appreciated,
    Ben

  • Where does iphoto store the raw photos?

    Hi - I have imported all my photos into iphoto and am begining to get the hang of using iphoto to create my events/albums etc.  I have been a PC user for over 20 years and all my media/data etc is backed up onto a NAS drive.  For a long time I assumed I could use iphotos in Reference Mode and keep everything on NAS but it is painfully slow, eventhough all my computers communicate wired and I have a decent router.  So I have given up and have imported all of them.
    However, I would like to keep my NAS as a backup for my raw files.  I know I can load my raw data twice by going between the PC and Mac, but would rather not.  I would really appreciate it if anyone can tell me if the following is possible;
    1. Import new photos from my camera into iphoto
    2. Use an app on the iMac to just Copy the new raw photos into my NAS drive, without corrupting iphotos. I can't find where iphotos stores the photos.
    3. Go back to iphoto and organise my photos into events etc
    4. Keep the original files on NAS to import as and when (if I ever need to)
    I am going to get a new external drive, formatted for Mac to back up iphotos BUT in the mean time I'd like to do the above.  I am grateful for any help.
    Regards
    Fataneh

    iPhoto 09 and iPhoto 11 have exactly the same options for accessing the images. Exactly the same supported ones, exactly the same unsupported ones.

    i created a FR doc named <R1.1.1 BS>. Where can i find the file on server?
    thanks in advance

    Did you not read Alp's response, they are stored in the relational database for reporting & analysis and not as a file.
    You can either back up the relational db/schema, export the reports from workspace, or if you are on 11 use LCM to export them.

  • Easy DMS - where does it store available systems list

    Hello,
    We have Easy DMS installed. If the client has a saplogon.ini file, this seems to be picked up in the list of Available Systems. If there is no other SAP software installed, systems can be input via the [.] button.
    Does anyone know where this information is stored? I would like to investigate copying it between PC's. It does not seem to create a saplogon.ini
    Thanks,
    Philip.

    It is stored in registry.
    path: - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SAP\EasyDMS\RfcCache\AAA
    where AAA is system name.
    Hope this helps.
    EasyDMS also reads the saplogon.ini file alonmg with this data.
    Note:
    If you are using SAp GUI 720 release you may have to use the environment variable posted in this thread for easydms to read the correct  saplogon.ini file.
