Where does the Mail cache file reside?

My email inbox suddenly doesn't show anything newer than April 2011. The last time this happened, Apple Care walked me through deleting an AOL or Mail cache file, but I can't find it now. Where does the archived mail cache hide?

If you have iTunes set to consolidate your Library, then yes, you have 3 copies of the movie, USB, ITunes library folder, and iPad.
If not, then iTunes merely adds a pointer to the current location of the file, and then copies it over to the iPad.
If the USB is removed, the movie is still technically part of the library, but will not be accessible, it will show up grayed out and not be playable.

  • Where does the physical movie file reside?

I have a mp4 movie on my usb.  I selected Add file to library in iTunes and then sync to my ipad 3.
In the end, do I have 3 physical movie files (usb, ipad and itunes directory) or just 2 (usb, ipad)?
Does iTunes have a copy of my file under the iTunes directory or just a path to it when I did a Add file to library?

  • Where is the Iphoto cache file in Iphoto 11

    Hi All
I am having a problem syncing photos from Iphoto 11 to my Ipad. I was advised to delete the Ipad cache file in the library but it is not there. Any ideas where it is in Iphoto 11?
    Many thanks
    Joe

The iPhoto cache file is located in your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder. Also there is an iPod Photo Cache folder inside the iPhoto Library package that might affect your syncing. You can try clearing out both of those two folders and see if there's any improvement.

  • Where does the resources bundle files need to be

    Hi All,
Does any of you knows where all the custom resources bundle files that will be used on BCC need to be?
    I have something like this:
    BCC module /src/com/mycompany/resources/WebAppResources.properties
But when I try to use it
    This happens
javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: An error occurred while evaluating custom action attribute "title" with value "${activity.description}": An error occurred while getting property "description" from an instance of class atg.bizui.activity.GenericActivity (java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key manageLoyaltyProgram.description)
I am trying to use it on a activity that will be used in the ActivityManager:
    This is what I have
    <resource-bundle>com.mycompany.resources.WebAppResources</resource-bundle>
Do you know if I am missing somehting or putting the files on a wrong location?
    Regards,
    Obed

    Hi Shaik,
The title of for the source is added http://i.imgur.com/a6WVxsW.png but when I click on it it throws this exception:
javax.servlet.jsp.JspException: An error occurred while evaluating custom action attribute "value" with value "${activity.displayName}": An error occurred while getting property "displayName" from an instance of class atg.bizui.activity.GenericActivity (java.util.MissingResourceException: Can't find resource for bundle j
    ava.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key emanageLoyaltyProgram.displayName)
meaning that the properties file is on the classpath, but my genericActivities.xml file is not able to read the properties file.
    Any suggestion?

  • Captured analog video, where does the actual captured file go?

I am backing up old analog video 8 tapes to digital, using a Canopus ADVC-55 converter. The process is going just fine as far as I can tell, but I am sure I will have more questions as I get into this further. I am using FCP 6.04.
As an initial test, I completed a Capture Now (non-controllable device selected) of a short 30 min. analog tape, using an older video 8 Sony Handicam, running through the Canopus interfacing with FCP. Primarily I want to run through all these old tapes (about 15 of them…) and back them up onto a dedicated Iomega external firewire drive, to retrieve for later use.
Question du jour… Where the heck is the actual data file on the hard drive? Isn’t the file I see in the bin, from a result of the capture, just an alias pointing to the actual captured data file? The FCP document is only 24 KB, but I know the data file is much larger. I have searched the drive high and low but cannot locate it… Can anyone answer this? Also, I’ve read in discussions here about doing transfer to DV (I have a Canon digital camcorder I could use) rather than the hard drive… but if this is for backup purposes only, should that matter? And wouldn’t I lose a step of quality that way?

I understand Kevan. For the time being, all I wanted to do was get these old 8 mm tapes backed up to digital format because I am afraid the tapes will degrade. They are about 12 years old. I also have some VHS cassettes that are much older that I plan to back up also.
Eventually I would like to build some family movies and will use these files, but if you think I should be capturing into DV (I can use my Canon DV camcorder I guess) I will do that instead.
Also, I will go ahead and define the folder so I can find the files more easily in the future.
I sure appreciate that you are taking the time to answer these questions, thanks again.

  • Where does the acropro.msi file belong?

I have Adobe Creative Suite 6 installed on my laptop and I want to uninstall some of the programs I never use. A while back I moved the AcroPro.msi file from my laptop to an external hard drive. I believe I need it to properly uninstall these programs, but now I can't remember where it is supposed to reside on my computer. I am running Windows 7.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Depending on your Acrobat version and the bitness of your Windows system, it should be in somewhere like
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat XX.0\Setup Files\{XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX}

  • Where does the iDVD templates folder reside?

And is it accesible. I am I guess bored for lack of a better term with DVDSP apple provided templates and always liked a number of the iDVD ones that I would love to be able to import to DVDSP, However I know where and how to access DVDSP's templates folder, but can't seem to find iDVDs, can anyone guide me?

Thank you so much Sue and a merry Christmas to you. OK I located the folder and went ahead and copied it to a folder to make it accessible, however if I try to import it to DVDSP templates DVDSP doesnt see it as importable files, are they not compatible at all? Is there a trick to making it work or do I have to author the DVD in iDVD and then import the iDVD file into DVDSP for further processing?

I am new to this position and new to crystal reports.  I need to migrate our B0 and all our custom reports to a new server.  Each time a user generates a crystal report from a Menu that we provide - the report is attached to an email with specific  instructions about how to download Crystal Viewer if they cannot read the report.
I need to find that message and change the link so they can download the viewer from our new server - but I cannot figure out where that message is originating from.   Can anyone help with this?
    Thanks

    See if this helps:
    1. Log on to Central Management Console
    2. click on SERVERS
    3. click on REPORTJOBSERVER
    4. click on DESTINATIONS tab
    5. click on EMAIL (SMTP)
6.You should see the message that is sent out with all emails.
    7. You might have to repeat steps 2-6 for REPORTJOBSERVER(2) if you have one.

At work we have many who travel with train alot, where the internet is very unstable at best. And  they have trouble getting their e-mails.
So the question is if there is a way to increase the mail cache in iOS 7, to lower the dependency of a very poor internet connection.

I don't think so. Unless it's in the settings, there's not much that can be done.
are they using wifi on the train? If so, maybe switching to cellular. There are devices like the Mifi, which is a battery operated portable wifi hotspot that they can connect their device to.
If the wifi on the train is solid, I know I've had issues using certain hotspots. For example, my yahoo mail simply will not pull down via the mail app if I'm on some AT&T hot spots. But if I go in via safari then it works. So if the signal is good, maybe using a different way can help.
Or maybe looking for a mail interface that isn't apple's. There are others in the app store that may have better function or more control.

  • Where does the iPhoto library reside?

Where does the iPhoto library reside on your hd?  when I go to the search bar above, it shows 2 libraries!  I am about out of hd space so I am hoping that it has been duplicated somehow.  It's about 36GB. =)
    Thanks for your help!
    MK

By default it's in your Pictures Folder.
If space is an issue you can move the Library to an external disk:
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
    1. Quit iPhoto
    2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
    3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
    4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

  • (SOLVED) where does the xorg server gets the Composite file from?

I'd like to see the list of composite combinations. Seeking on the Internet I understand that the file should be:
    /usr/share/X11/locale/en_US.UTF-8/Compose
Where en_US.UTF-8 is my locale, but according to that file:
    <Multi_key> <underscore> <o>         : "ō"   U014D # LATIN SMALL LETTER O WITH MACRON
I should obtain the small letter o with the macro using multi_key underscore and o. Instead I obtain this: º.
    Same problem with the
    <Multi_key> <c> <o>                  : "ǒ"   U01D2 # LATIN SMALL LETTER O WITH CARON
If I press the keys I obtain: ©, the copyright sign...
So... Where does the arch xorg got its Compose file? Change I change its behavior?
    Thanks.

I ignored that is was an application side issue, thanks for explanation. And indeed I was using lxterminal: the terminal emulator of lxde that is based on GTK. Using the xim input system everywhere solved the problem.
People! Listen! Put this two lines in your .xinitrc :
    . /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc
    export GTK_IM_MODULE=xim
    export QT_IM_MODULE=xim
    exec whatever you use
    Thanks! Cheers!
