Where does thunderbird 24.5 for ubuntu 14.04 store pop3 email

I need to find the folder for the e-mail I had in Thunderbird 24.5 in Kubuntu 14.04 64 Bit. I have over 62K (yes 62,000+) e-mails and i can't afford to just lose them. I was using T-Bird in the background when a website (youtube) I was using in Firefox 29 had a Flash issue and basically caused my computer to become non-responsive. I had to switch off and restart. When I logged back in all of my settings and e-mails in T-Bird where nowhere to be found. The Mozilla website doesn't seem to address this problem (or maybe I just worded it wrong) but still I can't find my e-mails. I thought I had them backed up with the import/export tools add-in in a zip file but [a] I can't find any way to open the thing {it's over 1.8GB in size} [b] how do I restore them if I can open the zip file?
Basicaslly I need just one answer. What is the name of the folder where the e-mails are stored and where in Kubuntu 14.04 is it/should it be located? I know it will username based in name My name in the computer is james R McKenzie if that helps. All the info I can find on-line is old and hopelessly out of date usuallt covering older (circa 2007) Linux Distro's and Much older (circa 2008 -2010) T-Bird releases just that don't apply anymore. Please, any/all help will be appreciated. I am totally stumped.

Profile folders are hidden files and folders.
Linux and Unix Profile folders are located here:
* ~/.thunderbird/<Profile name>/
However, if you're using a third party build from Debian or Ubuntu, those builds store your profile folder here:
* ~/.mozilla-thunderbird<Profile name>.
then click on 'Mail folder to see Pop mail accounts and Local Folders.
To show hidden files in Nautilus (Gnome desktop's default file browser), choose "View -> Show Hidden Files".

It is possible that Thunderbird does not know where to look for the correct Profile or correct mail account name.
* Edit > Account Settings > Server Settings
or
* right click on mail account in Folder Pane and select 'Settings',then select the mail account Server Settings
* at the bottom look for 'Local directory'
* click on 'Browse' to locate the correct directory
* click on OK to save changes.

The unit was going to sleep with the screen open.

I found reference to the 12" ibook G4 1.2ghz with the reed switch under "end" key and the magnet in the screen. However I found the sensor "reed switch" in my screen in the right upper side.

The TimesTen daemon message logs are located in the daemon home directory which by default is <tt_install_dir>/info but can be changed to another location at install time.
A datastore's transaction log files are located by default in the same diredctory as the checkpoint files (specified by the DSN attribute Datastore) but can be placed eslewhere using the DSN attribute LogDir.
Again, this is all covered in the documentation. With all due respect, this forum is not intended to be a substitute for reading the comprehensive and well written documentation.

Almost. You have to highlite the offending entry
and then HOLD down the Shift Key and then
hit the Delete Key. I found this answer that
works by searching on the web which led me
back to this site. The original posted question
was stated somewhat differently than mine.

Where does my application resides for deployment?

1) I have stepped thru deploying the HelloWorld and Fortune sample applications .. and they worked fine.
What I don't understand is how to deploy my JSP/JDBC application. Where do I put my application? The ias-samples put the samples in ..\ias-samples\fortune\assemble\fortune.war (and .ear file here too) and then on the browser the link is http://127.0.0.1/NASAppl/fortune/fortune.
(In Apache-Tomcat, my application would go to the \WebApps folder under Tomcat).. where would I put in
iPlanet and it would recognize it with http://127.0.0.1/NASAppl/myAppl ?
2) does the folders under 'myAppl' need to be in a certain structure, ie: the classes go to a a folder named 'classes' and JSP go to ? and any other types where?
3) deployment must have an .ear file ? so after I create .war with my class/jsp files, i have to create .ear (I have not tried with myAppl yet).
4) I believe I have to re-start iAS after I deploy myAppl ?
(I am running iAS test drive version win NT)

You need to first create a .war or .ear file. Then you need to deploy this .ear file either using the iPlanet Deploy Tool or from the command line (for ex. iasdeploy deployapp fortune.ear)
All the classes and files related to the application will be under APPS directory.
I advise you to first read the Developer's guide and Admin guide. All your questions will be answered.

Where does iTunes Match look for my music files?

When iTunes Match scans my "library" which library is it looking at - simply the list of songs within the iTunes interface? Or is it looking for the actual music files? How does keeping most of your music on an external hard drive affect this process?

I don't know this for sure, but I suspect the scan process is reading the 'iTunes Library.itl" file and not scanning the actual files. So keeping your files on an external drive shouldn't affect the scan, although I would recommend having the external HDD connected to your computer while the scan in is progress just in case.

Where does the preference list for Safari reside

The Safari I use on my MBP 10 on this computer works like a charm (knock on wood) but on my MBP 07 it can not even remember how to open a local file when it loads and regardless of how many different thing I have tried it refuses to remember the preference I have set, so I'm suspecting that the preference are not being saved in the preference list, so I'm wondering where it is and is ut safe to edit or delete?

com.apple.Safari.RSS.plist
Also:
Home/Library/Safari/ folder and remove the following two files:
history.plist
lastsession.plist
And
Go to Home/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari/ and remove the contents of that folder.
(These are just webhistory files and are not required for Safari to run. However, similar to preference files, problems can arise if they have become corrupt.)
Locate the cookies.plist file that's located in the Home/Library/Cookies/ folder and remove it.
They will all be recreated next time you launch Safari.

Where does a newb go for help?

Just got an iMac from a friend, with, the best I can figure, is OS X 10.4.4. I would like to honor the request that I clean up the hard drive the best that I can. The best scenario would be to reinstall the os, but, alas, alack, I don't have a copy. So, where can I go to get the entry level info I will need to access the file structure, make sure that I don't take away critical folders, essentially return the system to a new, out the door install, or, at least, as close as I can get.

You need the original discs that the computer came with including the 'Hardware Disc' which should always stay with the computer. Buying a Retail version of Tiger 4.5 or at least a version higher or at least the same as the iMac came with as you can't downgrade is the other option.
A Mac Users Group would help, David Progues missing manual for Tiger is a good option too.
Your Mac's info is under the Apple top left of the menu bar, check to see if it meets the requirements for Leopard. 867 MHz required and 500 ram ~ 1 gig ram for iWork & iLife.
A reinstall would be the easiest way ~ It's a piece of cake compared to reinstalling Windows

I recently put a topic on the forum to find out if there was a sidechain possible in Logic express. With this side chain i wanted to send my kickdrum signal to a compressor from (for instance) the bassline or Hi hat. Unfortunatly there wasn't.
But now i found a side chain in Logic Express at the Ducker.....Whats a Ducker?
It works on a bus. When you select a bus you can select also a plug-in for that bus. When you select dynamic suddenly there is the ducker, and when you select that it gives you the possibility to select a track in a side chain.....I must say, it gives a pumping sound, but what exactly does a ducker? I've tried to search all different manuals from logic express and even plug-in manual for Logic pro but there is nothing mentioned about a ducker.

I'm writing a script that needs to store some data in each document that it's run in (I would like the user to be able to store default preferences for the script).
I've thought of getting the script to create a master page + text frame with data. But is there anywhere better and perhaps less visible?

Well, if you use 'app.activeDocument.insertLabel()' then it's stored with document, even after restart, but document must be saved.
If you use 'app.insertLabel()' then it's automaticaly stored, and can be used even after restart.
Great way to use it for script settings.

You can de-authorize individual computers, but only by using those computers. The only other option is to "de-authorize all" from your iTunes account.

4. Under "Computer Authorizations" select "De-authorize All".
5. Authorize each computer you still have, as you may require.
You may only do this once per year.
