Where EXACTLY are my photos in icloud?

I am confused about icloud. I understand that when I take a pic with my iPhone it "magically" transfers to the photostream folder in "My Pictures" on my PC by way of icloud. I've mastered the understanding of deleting photos on either/both of these devices. What I haven't been able to figure out is how to view the photos that are stored IN the icloud. I assumed it would be similar to viewing items that are stored in my MSN SkyDrive. I did manage to "reset" my icloud's photostream, and there was a note saying that all photo have been removed from icloud but it had no affect on the iPhone's photostream or the folder in my PC and I was still never aware of exactly which and how many pics were there. When I go to my icloud home page there are only icons for Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Find My iPhone and iWork. Am I missing something?

I guess I am also confused by this.  I've read the comment above, but that just adds to my confusion because I know I have GB's of iCloud "Storage" space available, and I'm pretty sure there is a way to purchase additional iCloud Storage if needed.
The iCloud missing statement says "iCloud does more than store your content — it lets you access your music, photos, calendars, contacts, documents, and more, from whatever device you’re on."
The previous response makes it sound like I am not able to access my photos from "whatever device I'm on", but only from the one device that I can sync my phone to, but that would go against the iCloud missing statement.
Between home computer and work computer, I use multiple devices.  My iPhone is sync'd to my home laptop, but I want to view photos taken with my iPhone on my work computer, or any other PC that I log into.
When I bought my iPhone I was also told that I could use iCloud to store music on, and have access to it whenever/where ever.  But again I only seem to be able to store/manage my music on either my phone or the in my home laptop's iTunes app.
Is there an instruction manual that explains how I can access my music and photos within my iCloud Storage, from whatever device I'm on?

  • Where exactly are my photos when they are in iPhoto?

I have been using Mac since 1986 and this Photo/iPhoto/Aperture thing is driving me nuts! Where are my Photos? How can I positively save my Photos?

In your User folder there is a Pictures folder, in that folder is your iPhoto Library. It will most likely be named, "{Your Username}'s iPhoto Library." The iPhoto Library appears as a file, but it is actually a package that contains folders and files that contain all of your photos plus data that keeps track of all the info related to the photos (reference léonie's comments).
The easiest way to backup your photos is to just make a copy of your iPhoto Library to an external drive. That way everything about your photos will be backed up.
If you backup your entire partition on a regular basis, something you should consider if you're not currently doing it, your iPhoto Library would be part of that backup.

  • Where exactly are the media files kept now?

It used to be simple, the media files were all in the Final Cut Events folders and if you trashed them they were gone.
However, now that I have updated my 10.0.9 projects and events to 10.1,  I apparently have identical  media files in the "Old Final Cut Projects and Events" folder together with the new Library.
I believe that some of these are symbolic, but which ones?
If I delete something from the "Old Final Cut Projects and Events" folder,  will it still be present in the new Library  .  .  .  .  .  and vice versa?
What if I delete both lots?
Where exactly are my old media files?

It's a tricky bit of engineering. If you updated the projects and events and the media was already in the events then the media will appear to be in both plays simultaneously, but only taking the drive space of one. If you delete the old events, the drive space will not go down because the media is still on the hard drive.
Here's the thing, when we say a media file is in a folder, it's not physically in the folder. It's somewhere on your hard drive, wherever there was space when the file was written to the drive. The file structure says they're in a folder or move from folder to folder, but in reality they never move. Only the directory structure changes. That's what's happening here. Both folders, old events, new libraries are pointing to same space on your physical hard drive where the media files are living. Both are holding the media files in their directory. If you delete them both the media will disappear from the directories and that drive space will be freed and eventually get physically overwritten as more stuff is written on the drive.

  • HT4858 where i find my photos in icloud in the web page???

where i find my photos in icloud in the web page???

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Photo stream photos cannot be found at iCloud.com.
If you want to view your photos from a computer, you should do so via iPhoto, Aperture or the photo folder assigned to photo stream.

  • Where are my photos in icloud

Went on iCloud.com but cannot find my photos. Have 1000 photos in the cloud via my iPod, but can only see 500 on my apple TV and NOT the latest one. On iCloud.com I see not a single one - where are my photos?

Sorry I am too stupid for this.
Via Apple TV I see photos from March this year and they have been in the cloud since then!
Via iPod and iMac I see photos from April should they not disappear after 30 days as they will only be "stored" for 30 days. And why such chaos, different devices with different photos but the same cloud. If pictures will only be stored for 30 days everything should be easy. This is the reason why I tried to see what is going on my cloud.

  • Where are my photos on icloud

I lost my photos when i restored or synced my phone cant exactly remember which but i had icloud and lost my photos is there anyway to find those photos or how to i find my photos on icloud, thanks.

You photos are not automatically backed up to iCloud and there is no way to view your photos at icloud.com from a browser.

  • HT4858 Are my photos in ICloud

Are photos stored in i cloud?

You may have to save any photos that are not in your camera roll to your camera roll on both devices, then turn photo stream off, and (after a few seconds) back on to get things working again.  (If you don't save them to your camera roll, you will lose photos older than 30 days as older photo stream photos are no longer in iCloud.)

  • Are my photos on icloud?

Are my photos somewhere, or only on my devices?

You can only access photo stream photos from a device that is sign into your icloud account with photo stream enabled.  If you want to be able to access them on the web, create a shared photo stream as a public website, which will give you a link that can be accessed from a computer (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmc0cd7e99).

  • Where exactly are my iBooks stored on my mac?

i am curious as to where exactly my iBooks are being stored on my mac?

I believe they are in your iTunes Music folder. Each author that you have downloaded will have a folder within the music folder.

  • HT4890 where are my photos on iCloud?

I've been backing up photos from my iphone 4 to iCloud (previously Moblle Me) and now I can't find them. Where are they? Thanks

Photos in the camera roll are backed up to an icloud backup (IF backup is turned on in an iOS device and Camera Roll is turned on - this does not pertain to a mac  [this is the icloud on my mac forum]).  However, you can't look into a backup to view your photos.
iCloud does not have a gallery like the former MobileMe.

  • HT201317 where are my photos on icloud

My phoitos are not on icloud and I do not know how to find them please help I have already lost a large number of photos because I thought they were backed up on icloud.

Photo Stream photos can not be accessed from iCloud.com.
Photo Stream is not a backup solution. It is meant as a sync tool to sync your photos across your devices.
My Photo Stream only holds 30 days of photos on the server and a rolling 1000 photos on your iOS device. Your Camera Roll photos will stay until you delete them and should be transfered to your computer to be backed up.
iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
To access your Photo Stream photos you need an iOS device running iOS 5 or later, a Mac running OS X 10.7.5 or later or a Windows PC (via iCloud Control Panel) running Windows Vista or later.
    iCloud: My Photo Stream FAQ
Backing up your iOS device either via iCloud or iTunes will also back up your Camera Roll however these photos can not be accessed directly. You would need to restore the entire devices to recover them.

  • My iPhoto app crashed and I need to reinstall. Are my photos in iCloud?

App crashed and message said to delete app and reinstall. Will all my photos be reloadable from iCloud, or does it not matter?

App crashed and message said to delete app and reinstall
What is the exact error message? A crash may be caused by several reasons.
You are asking about iPhoto on your Mac, right?
On your Mac, the photos are all stored in your iPhoto Library, and reinstalling the iPhoto application will not affect your iPhoto library.
What happened directly before the crash? Did you import new photos? Install or update software?

  • Where exactly are my picture files on my hard drive?

I have iPhoto 4.0.3 and I also have Photoshop CS. All of my snapshot photos I've imported and stored in iPhoto, my serious pictures of done all through Photoshop.
When I go through Photoshop File, Browse, I can't figure out where the photos in iPhoto are stored on my hard drive. I go through My Computer but I don't see the Pictures folder anywhere. Additionally, when I just try to find the pictures through Finder, I go to Pictures, iPhoto Libray, and the year, the month, and the day and I don't see any photos. I see a "data" file but no list of jpegs or anything.
I absolutely don't know where any of this stuff is and I'm having such trouble finding anything that's been lost in the abyss of iPhoto! Can anyone please clarify? Thanks!

    Hope,
You do not want to rummage around in the iPhoto Library Folder - the database - in the Pictures Folder.
    iPhoto Terms
    iPhoto
The application is designed to do EVERYTHING working in the application with the options available in the window and menus. Basically, once a photo has been imported into iPhoto (file copied to the database) that file is available only through the application. To use it some place else (that is not an iPhoto option) - export, or drag it from the window.
    Photo Library
Note: that is "Photo Library", not "iPhoto Library". This is the option you see in the source window to display all the photos imported into iPhoto.
    iPhoto Library (Folder)
To avoid grief please read this carefully!. The iPhoto Library is a folder that iPhoto creates and by default puts in your user Pictures Folder. This folder is the database where iPhoto actually stores everything you have done in the application. iPhoto keeps this folder in a special way, with special files, folders and subfolders.
Leave this folder alone. Don't add, delete or change anything in this folder. If you do - the database can collapse like a house of cards. Don't browse through it with other applications, like email, one slip can mean disaster.
iPhoto can work with several databases - iPhoto Library folders - but can only open and work with one at a time. These folders can be renamed and stored anywhere - as long as iPhoto knows the name and location - and is directed to open with the folder you select. If you want to move or backup the iPhoto Library folder - you must work with the ENTIRE folder. Don't try to move or backup pieces of the folder.
Some backup programs may actually split the archive so that it can be stored on CD's or DVD's ( depending on the room needed). If the backup program can restore the ENTIRE iPhoto Library to its original condition - this may work. But please test the backup and restore before you really need it.

Anybody know where on my iDisk the user entered comments for my iWeb blog entries are stored? I looked around and couldn't find anything obvious.

  • O365 SharePoint Online. Search no longer working. Where exactly are crawl logs?

    On o365/SharePoint Online 2013
A few weeks Search stopped working on existing sites in SPO.  New site seem to index fine.  We can't find files and list entries inside doc libs and lists now.
I'm looking at Search Settings in o365 and have added myself to have access to Crawl logs,
but where are they in SPO?
We've tried re-indexing sites, but it has not helped.
All search settings are the default, and I don see any exclusion of sites.
Also, can somebody tell me what the typical turn around time is for expecting a document just added to show up on Search?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to see the crawl log in the SharePoint online.
Per my experience, the users in the security group can view the crawl log data via the
eDiscovery portal to check whether crawled content was successfully added to the search index, or whether indexing failed because of an error.
For more information, you can refer to the following article.

As this is the forum for the SharePoint server, I recommend you can post your question to the forum for SharePoint Online:
    http://community.office365.com/en-us/forums/154.aspx.
More experts will assist you, then you will get more information relation to SharePoint Online.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
