Where has Airplay to Apple TV from iPhone 4 gone in iOS6?

Upgraded phone this morning now I can't find Airplay to view my photos, listen to music, or view videos through my Apple TV. Where has Airplay gone? Have Apple removed it from iPhone 4?

Scratch that, I've found it. The airplay icon only appears on the phone if the Apple TV is switched on. D'oh!

That would indicate an issue with the local network, not internet. This can impact devices differently and will likely be more obvious on a streaming only device.
If you are on wifi try ethernet
Make sure DNS is set to auto (settings - general - network)
Go to istumbler, netstumbler or similar to get a report of the network, look for signal strength and noise.

Her iPhone will need to be set up to iTunes Match using your Apple ID to be able to share music via iTunes Match. Otherwise you'll have to download the music to your computer and then copy those tracks into her iTunes library, assuming hers is separate.

Hi i had this problem myself what you need to do is..
right click and press 'show view options'
then go to the arrange by and sort by options near the top and change them both to none
click save as defult at the bottom
then when you right click the clean up by options will now be there

Seriously though... how does the image appear on the iPhone, portrait or landscape?
Keep in mind, not all apps support AirPlay Mirroring and this may be the result of the way the app developers coded to app to discourage users from doing Mirroring without blocking it entirely.
Also, ensure that Portrait lock is not enabled on the iPhone in Control Center.

When I am using my iphone to play something on my apple tv via airplay, it seems as if I am having three apple tv units, although only have one. Does anyone know how to "delete" inactive apple-tv from my iphone?

I use remote app just fine with my appletv
works even better then it does with itunes lib Imho
makes searching with youtube and podcasts much easier on the appletv
also tasks typing in passwords is easier
not sure what troubles or lack of feature you expiernce when trying to use remote app
but for me I mean I never use the remote the appletv comes with any more
because remote app does a better job

Purchased new iphone 5s, installed with itunes restoring backup from iphone 4 (which was too old a backup). It restored an old apple id (which i do not use anymore) in the iCloud settings while having my new Apple Id in the Itunes & App Store. I cannot turn off the iCloud setting due to old AppleId popping up - which does not exist.. How do i remove the old Apple Id from icloud setting on the phone.
I cannot erase the phone as it asks for the password for the old Apple Id. And i cannot do the restore again (after i made a recent back up my iphone 4) as itunes asks me to turn off Find my phone.

The Apple ID exists. The email address you used to create it may not, but the Apple ID does. Call AppleCare and ask to speak to someone in account security.

Where has the drop down button for page history gone from next to the Forward/Back page buttons?

in previous versions of Firefox(and most other Browsers) there is a drop down next to the back/forward page buttons, that shows the last 10 of so pages browsed in the current tab......
has this feature been removed from Firefox 4 and why, or is there a way to enable it?
Currently using Firefox 4 on a Macbook running OSX 10.5.8

You can get the drop down list by either control-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.
If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker

There seems to be no option to import from iPhone any more!! This is a blow.
How can I get movies into Aperture (assuming photos import with iCloud)? And projects are now harder to manage.

How to remove apple id from iphone 3G

Hi, My husband and I have shared an apple id for sometime. It has just caused complications because he is in Europe and Facetime and Imessage are not working properly on our phones because we have the same id. AT&T advised me to sign up for a new id and remove the old one from the icloud only on my iphone 3g replacing it with a new one. They said we could still share our music and apps but using separate ids in the cloud would resolve the conflict. I cannot seem to remove the id on my phone and am wondering how to do this, or any other ideas for how we can keep sharing our music without causing problems with facetime and imessage. Any ideas? Settings>iCloud. Log out
Settings>Messages. Log out of iMessage
Settings>Facetime. Log out of Facetime.
Then, log back in to each of those using your new Apple ID.

Peer to Peer Airplay w Apple TV and iPhone?

I want to do peer to peer screen sharing from my iphone 5 (ios 8.1) to my new Apple TV (model A1469, 7.0.1 (6912) software). We don't have WIFI in the office and that's why I want to do peer to peer. I can't get my phone to find the Apple TV when I click on Airplay. It only shows my phone as a device.
I have rebooted my phone and the Apple TV. Airplay is ON. Security option is "password". I installed the new OS on my phone and also did the updates for the Apple TV. I've read all the instructions on apple.com for doing this, which is really just a couple of sentences (Use AirPlay to wirelessly stream content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch). Still no luck. I have two ATV's, macbook air, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPhone 5s, not a single device after this update can get AirPlay... so disappointed with Apple...

Youtube airplay on ATV dropped from iPhone

When using Airplay to watch a YouTube video from my iPhone 5 on my AppleTV 2, anytime, I switched to Messages, Email, or any other program on my iPhone, YouTube stops playing on my Apple TV. This is a new issue. It hadn't happened in the past when I could surf the internet, send messages, etc. while using Airplay to send videos to my AppleTV.
Is anybody experiencing the same problem?

I booted the MBP 15 (Spring 2011) from an external backup of Lion (made immediately prior to switching to ML). When I turn off the Server Firewall then I can iTunes Airplay to both the Apple TV as well as to the Airport Express. But when I turn on the Server Firewall, even after allowing ports 3689, 42000-42999 both TCP and UDP, the Airplay does not work. I could not determine which ports were needed for iTunes Airplay, all I could figure out is that when the Server Firewall is off then iTunes Airplay works but when the Server Firewall is on then iTunes Airplay does not work. I tried logging all denied packets, but to no avail, I still could not determine which ones were being denied.
Interestingly, when I turn off the Server Firewall and switch on the System Preference Security pane Firewall, I can still iTunes Airplay to both the ATV and AX. It makes me wonder if when I switched to ML from Lion that some ipfw rules were not left over from the Lion Server Firewall that then keeps ML from allowing iTunes Airplay to work. (I wonder if I restore my Lion Server, then switch off the Lion Server Firewall, then download and install ML once again, then download and install OS X Server once again, whether the iTunes Airplay would then work? Maybe when I have some more time I'll try this, in the meantime I'm going to try a little harder to figure out why the Lion Server Firewall stops iTunes Airplay from working. Dang nabbit, even "ipfw show" does not tell me which packets are being denied when the Server Firewall is ON and iTunes Airplay does not work...does anyone have any suggestions on how to figure out why the Server Firewall is stopping iTunes Airplay from working?)

I am thinking buying an apple tv, but I just wandering if it can airplay from my Iphone4 (seems all the website on apple are using ipad or 4s as airplay example).

it can airplay from video apps but it can't mirror as in show the screen of the iphone all the time
so it pretty much works like the video out cables it will show video in movies, and youtube and other such supporting apps but will otherwise not give any output on the tv at all
