Where has my search bar gone?

Since 20mins ago my search bar has disappeared in Safari!
I now only have an address bar?
I have tried to customise and also ~/library/preferences/ as described in one of the other posts but to no avail.

This is not the Safari forum. What version of Safari are you using? If 6.0 then the Google search at the right is gone. Replaced by a single search / url address search. If 5.17, View>Customize Toolbar.

Where has my drop box gone?

I can't find my Drop Box folder anywhere. I have sharing enabled and wanted to quickly share a file with my office co-worker and so I thought I would share it like that and WHAT! my Drop Box folder and all that goodness - it's gone! I can't figure out where it went, and where? I can't even remember seeing it in the first place...........

Are you indicating that the the Drop Box Folder does not exist in your Macintosh/Users/yourusername/Public Folder?
If you did not have any important data stored at that location, just recreate it with a folder named "Drop Box" and make sure the permissions are:
User(You): Read & Write
staff: Write only (Drop Box)
everyone: Write only (Drop Box)

Where has my search bar gone in ff34?

I would like to be able to update FF only when I want to, but it forces me to update by stopping working a day or two after the new version appears! Anyway, since updating to 34, my search bar, which I use all the time for different search engines, has vanished, so I've had to revert to version 33. I imagine, at some point it will decide to stop working, and I'll have to upgrade, but I'd like my search bar back before I do, if that's possible?

Thank you very much. It appears that if I disable one extension (Organize Search Engines), then the search bar comes back, but another extension that is not disabled (Add to Search Bar) has stopped working. I have emailed the developer of these extensions, so hopefully there will be a resolution.

I KNEW it would happen, I even predicted it - this morning Firefox just decided not to bother opening at all, because I had the TEMERITY to be using an old version. I mean, who do I think I am? How DARE I have a reason for not wanting to upgrade! It won't even run in safe mode!
SO, I had to download the latest version of Firefox FROM SAFARI!!!

Along with what Skydiver119 has already told you, my 64GB iPad 3 only had 57GB of available storage out of the box, so if you keep doubling the amount of already used storage on the device as you go from 16 to 32 to 64 and then to 128GB - I assume that the figure that you see is correct. The iOS and preinstalled apps account for the storage that seems to be "missing" to you on your iPad.
The amount that you see in Settings>General>About>Capacity is in fact, the available storage capacity for your iPad. You can't change it. It is whatever it says it is in that setting.

Help! Where has all my storage gone? iPhone 4

Ive recently had a replacement Iphone for the one that I had lost. My old phone had over 900 songs on it and about 70 apps and i still had around a gb free. Since ive had my new phone ive backed it up from Icloud and lost a lot of space. I only have 279 songs on it and 53 apps and i have no space left. Im confused. I have an 8gb Iphone 4 which runs version 5.1.1. Where has all my storage gone and how do i get it back.

You should have 13 GB available after the iOS and the Apple Apps ...The rest is yours to fill. If you connect to iTunes you will see a graphical representation of how your iPhone's storage is currently consumed. Also you could Reset the phone and check the available space again. Hold Sleep / Wake button down and the Home key at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release the buttons and wait until the Reset brings you back to the lock-screen.

The location box is so short I can not see the url I'm typing in, such as 'yahoo.com' while the search box is so long I can type a whole sentence into it

Place the mouse pointer between the location bar and the search bar and it will become a resize icon that you can drag right or left to adjust the relative size of the two bars.

Search Box Gone When Going to Https SharePoint Site

Hello, we recently purchased a company who has SharePoint 2013 currently running for internal and external facing users. For the outside we installed an SSL cert on the SharePoint site to secure it. The strange thing is now when the external users connect
to SP via https the search box is gone from the home page. If you go to the http site (internal) the search box is there. I believe something is not setup correctly since adding the certificate. When I go to site actions on the site>site
settings>then search scopes it comes up fine under http. When I am on the
https site and go to search scopes I get the following error message. So we are wondering if we need to configure something within the search service or remove and recreate it for the
https to take effect. The error is listed below when clicking on search scopes via SSL, any help is appreciated.

be because an indexer move is in progress.

Where has my pages document gone? I updated to Yosemite 3 days ago...

Hi, I am writing on a 2013 Macbook Pro which I updated to the Yosemite operating system 4 days ago. I have just lost an essay using pages that I've worked on over the past two days (around 6 hours of work) I've searched trash and all files documents and can't find it. where has it gone? I found multiple versions of the piece when i wanted to email it to a tutor and started to tidy up and now all of them have disappeared. Can anyone help? Thanks Margaret

Moral of the story: Renting movies on Apple TV 2 ***** and I shan't be doing it again. It amazes me that Apple has launched a system that allows the GB tap to run freely with no regard to logic whatsoever.
As you point out any future (if any) rentals will be made via iTunes, which I had imagined was more or less equivalent given Apple's usually harmonious relationship between various modes of doing essentially the same thing. Not so in this case. I've also rented directly from the iPad as well, which turned out to be a hassle until I discovered Airplay.

Where has my Word document gone?

I worked all day long on a document. I saved it regularly. 12 hours and 20 pages later I was finishing up by inserting Endnotes. Two blank fields appeared on the screen and would not go away. I saved the document and closed Word. When I re-opened the program, the random fields were gone, but the document was also gone. I tried searching and spotlight. I tried AutoRecovery. I tried third party disc recovery. I tried everything I could learn about on the web. Is this a lost cause?

OK, just for kicks, download "EasyFind" (free from the Mac App Store) and use it to search for the document, using only a partial name of the doc (if it was "MyPersonalResume.docx" just try searching for, for example, "Resume".
It's a shot in the dark but EasyFind has helped me find many files that just seemed to be ignored by Spotlight.

I downloaded an app TTeXplorer. It launched. I got a further option to download another map. It downloaded but I don't know where on my iPad it is. Can anyone help please?
