Where have the reload and stop loading buttons gone?

The reload button and the stop button do not appear on the toolbar in beta 7. I can reload a tab from the context menu for the tab, not as easy but it can be done. But I can see no way to stop a page load. So how?

Firefox 4.0 has a combined Reload and Stop button that appears at the far right of the location bar.
* Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move them out of the location bar.
* Swap the two buttons or move them to their previous position at the left of the location bar.
* If the order is "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
* Swap the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

    See --> https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/common-questions-after-upgrading-firefox-36#w_what-happened-to-the-back-forward-refresh-and-home-buttons
In Firefox 4 and newer versions, the Go, Stop and Reload buttons are combined in one button at the right end of the URL or Address bar. The button changes depending on the activity:
*green Go arrow when typing in the address bar
*red Stop ("X") button while page is loading
*gray Reload (circular arrow) when page is finished loading.
    Separate buttons are possible:
#Open Customize Toolbar window by clicking Firefox button > Option > Toolbar Layout '''''OR''''' clicking View > Toolbars > Customize if using the Menu Bar '''''OR''''' right-click in an empty space on a toolbar and choose Customize
#<u>While the Customize window is open</u>, Stop and Reload buttons will show separated between the address bar and the search bar
#<u>While the Customize window is open</u>, drag the buttons anywhere on the Navigation toolbar
#*order Reload-Stop will combine into one button
#*order Stop-Reload will remain separate buttons
#*or drag a "Separator" from the Customize window between Reload-Stop and they will remain separate
#click Done at bottom right of Customize window to finish

  • The refresh and stop loading buttons dont show up on firefox toolbar

The toolbar at the top of Firefox shows the forward/backward button, refresh button, and stop button, but all are dark gray and I can't click any of them. Its frustrating because a lot of websites I visit are updated often and a simple click of the refresh button keeps me up to date, but its not possible now.
    == This happened ==
    Not sure how often
== I turned on my computer today.

I would assume that this is a problem for the later 3.xx.xx and 4 release levels.
In the 3 level I had to add the buttons back to the navigation tool bar. You can do this by selecting "View" then "toolbars" and finally "Customize". Find the button you want and drag it to the toolbar location where you want it.
In release 4 I could not find the buttons on the "Customize" panel. I made them appear by changing the options for the toolbar. I first selected a different "Show:" option at the bottom of the panel and saved it. Then the buttons appeared. Then when I went back and changed it again the buttons did not go away.
    Hope this helps.

  • I installed Firefox 4 and the Orange App button plus the reload and stop are not showing

I installed Firefox 4 and the Orange App button plus the reload and stop are not showing.

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden, so you need to hide the Menu bar to get the new appearance.<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
You can also place the Tab Bar on top.
    * View > Toolbars : [ ] Menu Bar
    * View > Toolbars : [X] Tabs on Top
Firefox 4 uses a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is positioned at the right end of the location bar.<br />
During the page load process it shows as a Stop button and after the loading has finished the button is changed to a Reload button.<br />
If you type in the location bar then that button becomes a Go button.<br />
You can middle-click that Reload button to duplicate the current tab to a new tab.
To move the Stop and Reload buttons to their position to the left of the location bar you can use these steps:
    * Open the "View > Toolbars > Customize" window to move the Stop and Reload button out of the location bar.
    * Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position to the left of the location bar.
    * Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
    * Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.

  • OK - I just did the update and now when I bring up a second screen the Back Page, Reload and Stop loading does not work. So I guess I'll install the previous version. Anyone else having this problem?

It's version 3.6.12. Anyone else having this problem?

You have to download and run the upgrader then launch iPhoto. Go to the utilities folder in Applications and launch the iPhoto upgrader. Then launch iPhoto and it will upgrade the library

  • Where have the headers and footers gone?

    Hello,
I am opening some old spreadsheets in Numbers and the headers are missing. They dont magically appear when i print the doc either.
I can see the headers and footer when I do a "quickview" of the file, but when I open it, they arent there and I can not find an option to view them.
    Any help? Thank you.

    Hi Andrew,
Though Numbers 3 currently doesn't have page headers, there are some workarounds that can achieve the effect of having headers (though, for footers, you're limited to page number).  See this in Print Preview:
You can set up extra Header Rows in your table and have them repeat on each printed page. The Table Name only shows on the first printed page, so you may want to uncheck Table Name before printing:
See this thread for an example of how this workaround worked for one user.

  • Where are the SQL and PSQL reference manuals gone ?

    Hello,
I cannot found the SQL and PSQL reference manuals on OTN. In previous version of this web site, there was direct links available, but they seem to have disappeared. As a SQL developer, I have frequently to search in those manuals:
    - Oracle8i SQL Reference Release 8.1.5 A67779-01
    - Oracle8i SQL Reference Release 2 (8.1.6) A76989-01
    - Oracle8i SQL Reference Release 3 (8.1.7) A85397-01
    - Oracle9i SQL Reference Release 1 (9.0.1) A90125-01
    - Oracle9i SQL Reference Release 2 (9.2) A96540-01
    - Oracle8i PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference Release 8.1.5
    - Oracle8i PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference Release 8.1.6
    - Oracle8i PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference Release 8.1.7
    - Oracle9i PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference Release 9.0.1
    - Oracle9i PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference Release 9.2
I found in this forum links to Oracle9i SQL Reference
    Release 2 (9.2) and PL/SQL User's Guide and Reference
Release 2 (9.2), but I would appreciate to have links in the OTN page. Why did you change this ? I must now use Google to search the informations that I need.
    Regards

FYI, all the Oracle manuals are online at http://tahiti.oracle.com. There is also a SQL & PL/SQL statement lookup feature that strikes me as a bit easier than using the manual.

  • Where are the left and right action buttons on the touchpad on the HP ENVY 17t Quad TouchSmart

My new HP ENVY 17t Quad TouchSmart laptop has a touchpad, but no left or right action buttons.  How do I simulate their action.  Apparently a single tap simulates a left click, but how do I get a right click?  How do I drag a cell in a spreadsheet (to copy it) using the touchpad?  I may have to end up using a mouse.
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

I believe that model features a ClickPad, which doesn't have distinct left/right-click buttons but does have left/right-click areas where the buttons would normally be. See Using and Configuring the ClickPad for more info.

  • Where are the refresh and stop icons in your latest version?

If you don't have them, how do I go about going to an earlier version that has them. Thanks!

By default they will not be in the customize toolbar window, they will still be on the toolbar. When the customize toolbar window is open, look to the right hand side of the location bar, the icons should be there, you can drag and drop them elsewhere.

  • Where is the 'reload' button?

''Duplicate post, continue here - [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/843347]''
how do I get my 'reload' button back on my screen?

In Firefox 4, the stop/go/reload buttons have been combined into one button, and are attached to the right edge of the location bar. If you type in the location bar you get the go button, when a page is loading it becomes the stop button, at other times it becomes the reload button.
If you want separate buttons, right-click on a toolbar and choose Customize, you can then drag and drop the reload and stop buttons to where you want them on the toolbar.

  • How do I get the Home, Reload and Forward/Backward buttons grouped logically together, rather than splattered randomly across the top of the browser ?

In Firefox 3, all the buttons are grouped together, in V4 they are now scattered across the top of the browser, aping IE7/8 - plus the "stop loading" button has gone walkabout - it would be useful to get that back, as well.

You can open the Customize window to make it possible to change the position of those toolbar buttons.
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"<br />
    * Drag the Home button from its current position at the right to the previous position at the left of the location bar.
    * Drag the Reload and Stop buttons to their previous position at the left side of the location bar.
    * Set the order to "Reload - Stop" to get a combined "Reload/Stop" button.
    * Set the order to "Stop - Reload" or separate them otherwise to get two distinct buttons.
