Where have the voice effects gone on my Audigy sound ca

Hi
I have a Sound Blaster Audigy with the latest drivers.
In the EAX Console i find the sound effects, but only the environmental ones, not the voice effects (Chipmunk, Alien, Zeus etc..).
I have another 2 Creative cards which i bought earlier which had those effects: Li've 4. and an Audigy 2 ZS.
The Audigy 2 ZS i have on another computer has the exact same Surrond Mixer, EAX Console and the other sound card settings, but in that one i can find the voice effects under the EAX Console.
Does this mean my sound card doesn't support these? It doesn't make any sense.
Or do i need to use another driver?
Also the environmental effects list is a lot shorter than in the other 2 cards.

Hi Thanks for the reply - the rendering option is greyed out...I've just updated graphics drivers and this has made no difference. I've read that the Mercury engine won't support some GPUs and they have to be enabled manually, but have no idea if this is what is happening here...all I do know is that 2 weeks ago I was using the feather effect and now I'm not able to and all the accelerated affects are now greyed out.
I'm using windows 7, 64 bit - same result on premiere pro CC and CS6...

It might be just you. I believe I found the very same stickers you are asking about tucked in with the usually documentations and restore CDs. As I can remember they were located in the packet marked "Everything Else" included in the envelope holding the restore CDs themselves.

Where have the tools menu gone

I have the latet version of firefox and want to get rid of yahoo as my home page and go back my original home.

Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
This issue can be caused by an extension.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.

Where have the rich colours gone?

I updated premioere pro cc last night and when I opened the program today the rich colours for objects in the timeline have gone. This is making it a lot harder to see all the different tracks. The colours are fine in the project browser just on the timeline.
Any advice?

This was an intentional change to address complaints about the colors of track items in the Timeline getting too washed out within the In/Out range.
This is the very first time that it dawned on me that not all Premiere issues and problems come thru this Forum. DOH!
I assumed that Adobe did use other ways of testing / developing FRs though. eg Edit Lab and direct feedbacks etc.
Still..interesting that no one in this Forum complained about the color of track items!
At least it explains to me where the End of Sequence Indicator came from.

Where have the view icons gone! and why cant i scroll my album artwork anymore, instead i have an ugly grid!!

im trying to set up itunes on my new laptop, and all the library view icons have now gone, so easy switching from the ugly grid, to list or scrolling artwork seems to no longer be an option.
have apple stopped this on a down grade? or am i missing a vital clue to where its hiding, had a look on the help page and there seems no mention of it any more.

The main differences between iTunes 11 and earlier versions are the loss of coverflow and ability to have multiple windows open.
In Windows, you can restore much of the look & feel of iTunes 10.7 with these shortcuts:
ALT to temporarily display the menu bar
CTRL+B to show or hide the menu bar
CTRL+S to show or hide the sidebar
CTRL+/ to show or hide the status bar (won't hide for me on Win XP)
Click the magnifying glass top right and untick Search Entire Library to restore the old search behaviour
Use View > Hide <Media Kind> in the cloud or Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Show iTunes in the cloud purchases to hide the cloud items. The second method eliminates the cloud status column (and may let iTunes start up more quickly)
If you don't like having different coloured background & text in the Album (Grid) view use Edit > Preferences > General and untick Use custom colours for open albums, movies, etc.
With iTunes 11.0.3 you can enable artwork in the Songs view from View > Show View Options (CTRL+J) making it more like the old Album List view.
If you feel the need to roll back to iTunes 10.7 first download a copy of the 32 bit installer or 64 bit installer as appropriate, uninstall iTunes and supporting software, i.e. Apple Application Support & Apple Mobile Device Support. Reboot. Restore the pre-upgrade version of your library database as per the diagram below, then install iTunes 10.7.
See iTunes Folder Watch for a tool to scan the media folder and catch up with any changes made since the backup file was created.

Just updated to find the top movies etc. have gone! I only have Trailers, My Movies and Search.
My store is NZ. Any clues?

HP PhotoSmart Premium C310 - Windows 8 and Office 2013 - Where have the page sizes gone

I have just upgraded to Office 2013 on my windows 8 PC.
Now when I goto print, and click "printer properties" evert drop down is blank, and all the titles are in Chinese. HELP please.
Also the page size options have now lost useful things like A4, Letter etc.
Technet says to upgrade my printer drivers, but I'm on the latest ones, I can't contact support, as It says my printer is no under warranty support any more. I don't have fault with the printes, its with the driver. Please HP help.
I can supply screen shots of the issue, but could not work out how to post them here!

So only print functions and printer-related settings are in another language? Did you use the installation disc that came with the printer or did you download the software from the HP Website?
Here is a video on how to uninstall the HP driver from Windows 8 in case you can not understand the words. When I went to www.hp.com/support, I selected your country first and then chose the Software and Drivers section after that. You will want to click the "Download" button and follow those instructions. I hope this helps you. Let me know if this provides for you the proper driver.

Where have the CS2 filters gone after leopard upgrade?

I have CS2 on a Powerbook G4 1.5Ghz operating on Leopard 10.5.7. The Powerbook was previously my brothers so I inherited all the software on it. CS2 was reinstalled after a recent upgrade from Tiger to Leopard.
Since then, I have had only 5 filter options in Photoshop - Blur, Noise, Pixelate, Sharp and Stylize.
I have searched everywhere for the files on the system, in case they were accidently moved, despite the fact I never mess around with the system folders.
I have been able to add plugins by placing them in MacintoshHD> Adobe> Plugins> CS2> File Formats. The plugin then appears in Photoshop.
Also, I noticed that when I go to Applications> Adobe creative suite> Adobe Photoshop CS2, there is no "plugins" file (like there is for Illustrator outline the filter options).
Im really missing the basic filters I used to have especially the halftone and its options.
I have searched this forum and notice someone had the same problem, but the suggested solutions have not helped me. I neither have a backup copy of CS2 or the original disk. The CS2 software is an educational package (from UCLA).
Would anyone have any advice on how I can get the basic filters back?

FYI, my family had 2macs. One with CS, the other with CS2. Both macs were upgraded to Leopard, then the computers were swapped around as I preferenced Photoshop CS2. Adobe have never mentioned anything about "pirated software" - in fact were most helpful when I rang them and they re-activated CS2 - consider your statement as "idiotic".

Where have the books-pdfs gone

before iBooks for mac, books and pdfs were easy to maintain and locate and transferred via iTunes. Now, after moving these to iBooks, I cannot locate them anymore on my hard drive, though they are still in iBooks...? Where are they???

To add to the above Books are now in ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.BKAgentService/Data/Documents/iBooks. I can't find the USB attached "My Book" under Airport Utility. Where have the five choices gone?

I have previously backed up my Time Capsule many times to a "WD My Book" drive, connected via a USB. In the past, I have opened the Airport Utility and been able to Archive by choosing "Disks."
Now I don't see any options to select. The Airport, Internet, Printers, Disks and Advanced buttons no longer show up. All that I see is an Earth symbol and below that my Time Capsule icon and below that, my Airport Express drive icon. No options from the top menus give me what I'm look for?? I'm sure it's simple, but I am a rookie.

The Airplay icon is now located in the Control centre, swipe up from the home screen to reveal it.

Where have the older codecs gone?

Hi:
I've got a lot of Quicktimes of our motion graphics work compressed with the MJPEG-A codec which I edit in FCP for our demo reels. I'm in the process of moving everything to a newer codec, but in the meantime I need to convert some QTs from the animation codec to MJPEG-A to edit on my timeline, but I don't see Apple MJPEG-A listed as a codec I can export to. I don't see MJPEG-B or Sorenson 3 or Cinepak and some others in Compressor or QT Pro or After Effects. They do show up in FCP 5.1.4 on my Intel Mac Pro OS 10.5.3, QT 7.5.
I'm seeing those codecs in AE on an older system running QT 7.0.3 on OS 10.4.11.
Anyone know how to make those codecs available to AE, Compressor and QT Pro?

IOS7 Where have the Film titles gone?

Just loaded iOS7 on my iPad and now all the film titles in the Videos section have dissappeared. I now have about 15 films and dont know which is which without selecting each one by one. I wonder if the titles which used to be in white under each film on a black background are still in white but now on a white background and hence invisible. Anyone else know what to do???

Hi. I have had a similar problem. I have recently copied some of my DVDs into iTunes and transferred them on to my ipad3. This took me weeks to find out how to do it and hours to achieve., but it did work until I updated iOS . I can no longer find them. I know they were stored under music videos, but I cannot find music videos anymore in the video app. I am getting so frustrated with Apple, that I am seriously considering changing to android. My friend uses an android pad and he doesn't have any of the problem I have had.

Now using DWCC... where have the Layout Colums gone?

I am used to CS5 and there were lots of options to select layout colums when selecting a new project. Now there are only two - two column and three column fixed. Are they all gone or are they somewhere else?

How many columns do you need?
CC is very HTML5 centric. In previous versions of DW, you had more layout choices but many feel that the code was not up to today's web standards. So CC was released with only 2 pre-built, HTML5 layouts -- 2-col and 3-col. You may customize them any way you wish by editing the CSS code or using the CSS Designer panel.
Also, be sure to check out the Fluid Grid Layouts feature. This allows you to create responsive layouts with as many or as few columns as you require for mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
If that doesn't provide enough choices for you, download the free Bootstrap extension from DMX Zone.

Where have the certificate templates gone in pages?

Hi all,
I've noticed that the certificate templates seem to have disappeared in the new version of Pages. Can anyone provide me with a copy of the old ones? unfortunately the ones on the community forum aren't anywhere near as good.

Sounds like you upgraded from Pages '09 which should still be in your Applications/iWork folder.
The reason so many things are missing in Pages 5 (like 2/3rds of the templates) is because it lacks the tools (over 100) that Pages '09 has, which makes certain things impossible or difficult to do. stick with Pages '09 if you can till something better comes along than Pages 5.

While using DW3 there was an option to create from a sample page, which made creating sites rather easy by jst changing the text and images, but I do not see this option in DW4...is it no longer available or is there a download of page templates somewhere? Thanks all.
