Where/How to learn Dreamweaver?

Hi there community.
I am determined to learn Dreamweaver as it seems to be the most common and reccomended way of creating totally professional websites but am overwhelmed by where to start!
I have trawled throught the net and found a plethora of companies offering courses (costing thousands) but just am not sure whether they are any good so...
I'm here for some reccomendations if you wouldn't mind sparing a couple of minutes? It's very much appreciated.
Now i should tell you i have no experience using HTML or the like so i am a complete novice. I have basic computer skills, (MS packages etc.).
Oh and i am in London in the UK.

My suggestion is Lynda.com if you want to watch as you learn.
They have some great videos on Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS
My preferred training professional is: James Williamson.
Cost is only $250 per subscription year.
You an quickly learn the basics and have the video's available to you 24/7 as reference when you have a project and can't remember how something should be done.
I received a month free subscription when I purchased CS4 and have been a member since then.

In all seriousness, the Logic 8 plug-in and instrument manual is very, very good. A New York Times Best Seller IMO.
It'll cover some generic applications of plug-ins as well as synthesis techniques (vocoding and physical modeling for example).
After that, whatever is unsolved (compression techniques as another example in parenthesis!) you can research on the web. wikirecording.com is a good site - up & coming, as they say in the music biz.

Help me figure out where to start learning flex/flash/air/etc.

Hi all,
I'm hoping a few generous souls can help figure out where to start learning to use Adobe programming / application tools. I've read through a lot of the info on Flash, Flash Builder, Flash Catalyst, Flex, Flex Builder, Actionscript and Air – and frankly my head is spinning.
Let me give you some context of what I know, and where I'm trying to get to.
What I know
CS4 - Dreamweaver / Photoshop / Illustrator / Fireworks
Raw html, and some css
Various macro languages over the years (excel - macro level meta-procedural stuff)
Basic database experience (mysql, database design)
Training in procedural languages like Pascal about 100 years ago (ok maybe 20)
Where I want to go
Develop online trivia application
Multiple, simultaneous users
Polished interface (look and feel wise) - 'flashy' if you will
Database connections on back end to serve questions and manage users
At a very basic level it would be similar to those trivia systems you see in bars, like this: http://www.buzztime.com/games.html , but with an educational focus / spin to it.
When I want to get there
I realize this isn't going to happen overnight. I'm hoping if I spend 20 hours a week or so I can put something basic together by the end of the summer. This is as much about learning the tools for me as building the app.
How I need help
I plan to get a Lynda.com subscription to help me learn the tools. The basic problem is I don't know which tools to learn, in what progression, to accomplish my goals. If I'm never going to use Actionscript or Air I'd rather not learn them. So what I need is 2 pieces of advice
For the app I described, what tool(s) would you build it in?
What is a good learning path for those tools?

For creating a web application using Flash, there are broadly two workflows (with different tools to use):
If you are a designer, you may want to start learning Adobe Flash Professional for a more design oriented feel application development:

If you are a developer you would generally find Flex more natural because it allows you to code your application. Currently I am using adobe cs4 and I have a video which uses some transitional editing techniques which I would like to use in a short that I want to create... I would be grateful if someone could look at the sections of the clip, tell me the name of the tansitional editing techniques, and tell me where I could find a lesson teaching me how to do it please...

You will need a test system, use VirtualBox as you can undo any disasters by taking snapshots. If you don't know how to configure and administer managed servers in Weblogic Server then learn that first - just how to configure UCM and Node Manager so you can start and stop it from the Admin Server console.
It is worth learning to install Webcenter Content on Linux ( I recommend Oracle 6.6) and also on Windows if you want to use Enterprise Capture with Recognition but if you are impatient to start with UCM, Oracle have a ready-made VM with just about everything you need installed. Oracle WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.8 Virtual Machine | Oracle Technology Network | Oracle. You may need to patch the installation, I don't know what patch level it is set to.
When reading the Oracle documentation Make sure you get the WCC UCM documentation not the IPM documentation. Make lots of bookmarks and when you see "for more information on..." open the link in a new tab or you will get lost seven levels down when you realise you are back to the same page you started from.
Learn the security model, a group in Weblogic Server with the same names as a Role in UCM will be granted the Role's access, how to use content types, rules and profiles. if you have experience with any other DM systems, know that metadata fields in UCM are not attributes of a document class, they are attributes of the system and present for all documents unless you filter them out with Rules.
Know also that there are two Web UIs so when you read the latest documentation the screenshots are from the latest Web UI. I don't know if it has been installed in the Portal VM but if you want to install it, read the Support article 1618305.1, it is not simple.

In a class for dreamweaver cs6 but have Creative cloud I don't know how to use dreamweaver

I am in a web design class where the book is on CS6 Dreamweaver but I have Creative Cloud so everything is different. I am afraid I am going to fail this class that is required for my degree because I do not know how to use Dreamweaver. Can anybody help me?

The problem with text books is that they were not updated to reflect changes/improvements Adobe made to the software. It's worth noting that DW CS6 has 6 versions -- all a little different depending on how you obtained it.

Where/How Report Problems?

Where/How do we report problems?
I exported a small set of photos from LR3 to my desktop and then imported them into LR4.
All the photos are there. When I take a photo to the develop module, LR4 crashes.
I must be a slow learner, since I did this 4 times before deciding to try this forum.
Any ideas re: 'how to resolve' will be appreciated. I'd like to try LR4 with some of my older photos.

Thanks! Your response got me on the right track.
The answer is that when I was in the Library, I needed to update all those photos to the current process before opening the Develop module.
The clue that I overlooked was the ! in the lower corner that indicates that the settings need to be updated.
