Where I can find AirPort Base Station Firmware Update 7.7.3
Support and download pages on apple's portal are giving me run around. Does anyone knows where one can download the AirPort Base Station Firmware Update 7.7.3 ??
No magic, but I had a real weird situation that I have no way to explain. So when I wanted to upgrade using the airport utility which logically should pull 7.7.1 first and then later 7.7.3, neither would work. I restored to factory defaults in the mena time of this original posting, however pull down menu was not showing 7.7.1 rather it was still displaying 7.6.4, hence why I was so eager to get 7.7.3 binary and do manual upgrade. AS I found the code, before I went about manual process I went into my ~/Library/Applications Support/Apple/AirPort directory to check the version.xml file and voila it showed how I do have 7.7.1 running and installed way back , so then I proceeded the manual process I described above and it worked. You are correct definitely because 7.7.1 was already there, but to for me unknown reason it is not showing on the Airport Extreme and in the drop meny I explained/described, however definitely there and clearly reason I was able to do manual upgrade. In the light of my question and wasted exchanges with the previous poster I didn't describe this part because it was irrelevant as I was only asking how I can get the code. If I had time to deal with the bigger issue here I would ask Apple, ok why my utility was not pulling 7.7.1 or 7.7.3 and why I had to do all of this to finish simple process that should in reality happen in matter of minutes (I do not have check auto weekly for the code not do I like or trust that feature i.e. don't like auto upgrades...I like to see upgrades done, ppl use it, not report issues and then I do my upgrades). Hope this clarifies it further.
Editing /augmenting my response with a comment - I was even contemplating to complain to apple and reseller I got my device year + ago to possibly replace the unit, but now that it all worked out I am happy.

Windows Vista trouble finding airport base station
I recently bought an AirPort Extreme 802.11n. It was easily able to connect it to my mac, but when I try to connect it to my Windows Vista desktop computer, the base station in the airport utility software cannot be found. It finds the internet from the base station, but when I try to connect to it, it says windows cannot connect to the internet. I set up a linksys wi-fi usb, but it still cannot find the base station. The pc is only two years old. Please help.
I had the same trouble with my Vista pc. I had set it up on the Airport Extreme network, but did a firmware update and lost the PC connection. I rolled it back to the previous version, but it was still intermittent or not seeing the Airport at all. I went in to the Airport Utility and changed the Channel setting from Automatic to Manual and selected another channel. This worked and my PC could see the network OK and connect.
I'm still having trouble connecting to my MAC from the Vista Pc, but I can connect to the Vista from my MAC. Both can see the network/internet OK.

Allow a full minute for the AirPort Extreme to restart again
On the iPhone home screen, tap Settings
Tap WiFi
Look for the listing of Setup A New Base Station

The example below shows an AirPort Express. You will see AirPort Extreme
When you tap on AirPort Extreme, that will get the setup wizard running. Follow the prompts. -
Time Capsule / AirPort Extreme Base Station Firmware Update 7.5.1 download?
Hi, I went to this page (link below) hoping to find the firmware download link but can't find it. All I see is the software update. I need the firmware update 7.5.1 for Airport extreme. Can someone send me the correct link?
Thanks,
Mike
http://support.apple.com/kb/DL965Hi Mike,
according to the page you linked, this firmware update is only applicable *"for late 2009 AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule"*
There seems to be no direct download link. Maybe to avoid confusion.
Do you have one of those ?
If not this won't work.
If yes, then use these instructions http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1218 to update using the Airport Utility (which you should update to 5.51 before).
Hope it helps

Can anyone tell me the URL where I can find the LR 5.5 update file for Macintosh?
Forum Members:
At this URL, it suggests the following:
For computers with previous versions of Lightroom currently installed:
1. Download the Lightroom 5.5 update.
2. Open the folder, double-click the updater file, and follow the on-screen instructions.
The issue is, I can't find an "update" file. I can only find a complete new download which often leads to wasted disk space, etc. so I would rather patch the update if possible.
Can someone tell me which URL will lead me to the updater file for Macintosh?
Thank you - J. RossYou must be new to Lightroom. Yes, the terminology can be confusing. The Lightroom program has been updated. The updated version is Lightroom 5.5. It has been updated to include new cameras and other changes. But that "update" comes in the form of a complete replacement program. That is the way it has been from the beginning with Lightroom. It's unfortunate that you have misunderstood that. But I hope this will help clarify for you.

I just updated from OS 10.6 to Mountain Lion. My HPC4780 wireless all-in-one will not print wirelessly, even though it indicates it is getting a wireless signal. I followd the "airport base station firmware updates" suggestions, but my computer can't detect an airport base station, even though I am looking at it, and the light is green like it is supposed to be. The printer works if I connect it, but won't print wirelessly. Any ideas? I am trying to learn Mountain Lion's ins and outs.

afari 5.1.5 for Mac OS X Server v10.6 is no longer available for downloading, where I can find it?
FWIW, Software Update Server on OS X Server 10.6 did occasionally corrupt itself.
If I had a case of that arise, I'd get a full backup, would shut off Software Update Server, apply the current OS X Server 10.6.8 combo update and the current and subsequent patches, then reset the Software Update Server caches and force a new download of everything, and then restart the Software Update Server.
Alternatively — and given what I've encountering with 10.6.8-vintage hardware failures in the last few months — I'd probably look to migrate to newer hardware and newer software. Those disks are getting old, after all.
Software Update Server and Caching Server 2 on 10.9 have both been stable.
The Reposado open-source implementation of Software Update Server might provide you with an alternative approach, if Software Update Server is being recalcitrant and if you can't upgrade. -
just got a used airport base station. Set it up and getting wif signal. when I try to hook up on a computer it asks for a security key. where can I locate key?
If you mean the hexidecimal equivalent of the alphanumeric password, then you can find this via the AirPort Utility, as follows:
AirPort Utility > Select the AirPort > Manual Setup
On the AirPort Utility's menubar select Base Station > Equivalent Network Password -
I have a MacBookPro3,1. My Canon MX870 is connected to my Airport base station via ethernet. It was working fine until two days ago. I restarted my computer, the printer and the airport and router. Reinstalled the driver for the printer and even reset the airport. Best I can tell it's something with my MacBook. My girlfriend was over yestrday and she has a newer MacBookPro and I can find my printer fine on her MacBookPro but I can't find it at all on mine. I'm at a complete loss. Any thoughts or insight would be greatly appreciated.
I wonder if one of the “printing” plists has become corrupted. Find your preferences file in the library under your user name. Scroll down to the series of printer plists starting with “com.apple.print“. There are a series of them, even one specifically for the mx 870. You can delete a plist with relative impunity as they are rebuilt when you restart your MBP. I would delete 1st the one that has 870 in the name, put it in the trash, but don’t empty the trash, and restart. If that doesn’t solve the problem you can delete others- like the “print add“ plist or print center plist. Restart after each deletion and see if that solves the problem. You can always drag the deleted plists out of the trash and put them back where they came from as long as you don’t empty the trash.

Bought new TimeCapsule March 2013. Worked fine. Now get "No configured AirPort base stations have been found." I can see the content of the TimeCapsule's drive in finder and Time Machine but it no longer is making backups. Ideas?
Make sure that you have AirPort Utility 6.3.1 installed on your Mac.
AirPort Utility 6.3.1 for Mac - Support - Apple
Then, power off the entire network...all devices...in any order that you want
Wait a minute, then start the modem first and let it run a full minute
Start the next device connected to the modem, which may be your Time Capsule and let it run a minute
Keep starting devices one at a time the same way until the entire network is back up
See if AirPort Utility can "see" the Time Capsule now.
If yes, try another backup. If you encounter an error message, post back with the exact message. -
Airport utility can't find my airport base station
Im trying to set up a wireless internet at home. I have a comcast cable internet connected to motorola sb120 cable modem and I connected an ethernet cable from the modem to my aiport base station. when I open the airport utility in my macbook (also from my iphone 4s) the airport utility can't find the base station. the base station has a solid green ligh on and the modem "llink" light is binking amber. If I connect the ethernet cable frm the modem to my macbook I can get the internet with out any problem ...please help me set up my wireless internet with airport base station. ty.
Suggest that you try the following:
1) Reset the cable modem. There is a reset button on the back or bottom of the device. Check your documentation for the modem for exact details. In general, you press the reset button for a few seconds and then power down the modem completely.
That means pulling the power plug from the back of the modem or the AC wall plug
Leave the modem powered off at least 30 minutes
2) Perform a Factory Default Reset on the AirPort Extreme using the instructions in this document
Resetting an AirPort Base Station or Time Capsule FAQ
3) Then power off the AirPort Extreme
After 30 minutes.....
4) Connect the Ethernet cable from the cable modem to the WAN port (circle icon) on the AirPort Extreme
5) Temporarily, connect another spare Ethernet cable from your Mac to one of the LAN <-> ports on the AirPort Extreme
7) Power up the modem and let it run for 5 minutes by itself
8) Power up the AirPort Extreme the same way
At this point, the AirPort Extreme should be slowly blinking amber
9) Open AirPort Utility (I assume that you have AirPort Utility 6.0) and click on Other Base Stations, then click on the Base Station xxxxxxx representing your AirPort Extreme to start the setup process
AirPort Utility should suggest that you configure the AirPort Extreme to "Create a wireless network". Accept that option and enter the required wireless network name that you want and passwords
Follow any more prompts as required and AirPort Utility should configure the device for you
Wait 25-30 seconds for a green light
10) Disconnect the temporary Ethernet cable from your Mac to the AirPort Extreme
11) Log on to the wireless network that you named during the setup process
12) Report on your results -
My airport utility can't find my airport base station

I deleted Bonjour since I don't need it for remote printing. Now on start-up I get the message: "Airport Base Station Agent has stopped working" and also message: "can't find APAgent.exe.: Do I need AP Agent?? What to do?? Thanks.
The APAgent monitors your AirPort base station and informs you if there are things like firmware updates available. This utility relies on Bonjour, but is not required for base station operation. However, Bonjour makes it easier for your PC to "find" the base station via the AirPort Utility and I would recommend that you keep it installed. If you don't want the APAgent, you can just use the Apple Updater utility (that was also installed when the AirPort Utility was installed) to remove it.

New MacBook Pro can't find the base station
I just bought a new MacBook Pro and AirPort Extreme Base Station. My house is wired for Ethernet so I plugged the Airport Exteme into one of the Ethernet outlets and did the set-up using my old iMac G5 over the network. (I had to download the latest software for the AirPort Extreme to the iMac before this would work right.) I finally got to the point where I got a green light on the Base Station, but when I search with the AirPort Utility on the MacBook Pro it can't find it, even when it is physically only 3 feet away. I then plugged the MacBook Pro into the AirPort Extreme with an Ethernet cable and it saw it - no problem. I then downloaded all the software updates to the MacBook Pro, restarted, unplugged the Ethernet and tried again. The AirPort Utility still can't find the Base Station. I am running 10.4.10 on both machines. I have 10.5, but don't plan un updating until I get this to work. I spent about half an hour listening to Muzak while trying to get to support and finally gave up. Any suggestions?
In another Mac OS X user account. Choose Log Out from the Apple menu and log into it. If you want to move them over, drag them to /Users/Shared/.
