Hi Katia,
Essentially the same sample app which was referenced above (http://download.oracle.com/otn_hosted_doc/jdeveloper/11/demos/DVT_Gantt_Chart/ADFDVTGanttChartDemo.html). There are many features implemented in this sample which I'll be "reinventing the wheel" with. Its been a bit since I worked with the gantt component as I had to abandon for other development but will be getting back into it here shortly.
Namely as I remember, I had difficult time getting the gantt to load quickly with large amount of tasks, difficulty getting the selected item when using context menus or buttons defined within the control, and a few other minor issues which could be fixed as I was using the first release of 11g and cannot remember specifics. I'll let you know as I get back into it if I see similar problems.
For example, if you go to the ADF Demo Site (http://jdevadf.oracle.com/adf-richclient-demo/faces/feature/index.jspx) and click on "Project Gantt Custom Menu and Toolbar - add menus and buttons on the Project Gantt Menu and Toolbar". The buttons work, however if you first select a row in the left and then click the button, you have to click twice for it to work (in my findings the action listener never "fires"). So in my case I want to select a row and then have a custom event for that selected row when I click the button. There were other similar findings I had when I tried to go off of the examples.

Where can I get the sample layout pages that were in the older CS Dreamweaver. You normally find them when you press "More" on the start screen and you see it on the "layout" section.
On the CC version you only get 2 out of the 20 that you used to get. How can I get them back?

I saw a demo for showing how to implement Pan and Zoom in java. If I remember correctly it should be included in JAI, however I cannot find it in JAI sample demos any more.

You could contact a specialist such as they are equipped to handle portable Mac computers and have adequate knowledge, skill, ability and parts usually on hand for most older and newer Macs; including out of warranty.
Been awhile since my portables had an issue, I found good reports on a company in North Carolina and contacted them by email and also by toll-free phone call; then I mailed an ailing iBook G3 there via USPS. The NC company I chose did a good job on the repair and later when I upgraded to a later model, that iBook was still in fine shape and the next owner had a great first Apple experience with it. I was sure to include all software discs and hardware parts, and the box and book with it, too.
While I found the local companies here at the time would only send my computer away to some distant out of state repairer (and not to Apple, as it was out of warranty, etc) then add a 100% premium markup over cost) I read comments online and decided on one company that way, perhaps the most distant from here, in small town AK.
You could check out 'wegenermedia dot com' and contact them by phone, to inquire how to best proceed; they have nearly every part in stock for most portable Macs, and qualified service personnel on staff... While there are a few others, I found from this company I was dealing with the owners and technicians directly.
Anyway, hopefully this helps somewhat.

Could someone tell me where I could get the dowload for Airport Utility 5.0

I am trying to setup a Graphite base station but when I put my settings into the Airport Admin Utility it just comes up with an error saying "An error occurred while uploading the configuration" I have tried a few times, even reset the base station and started from scratch but I get this every time! :'( I have just read that the:
AirPort Base Station Update 2007-001 for Mac
"fixes problems with AirPort Admin Utility for Graphite and Snow Base Stations"
BUT you have to have Airport Utility 5.0 already. I only have Version 4.2 and can't find a download for Version 5.0 anywhere! Can anyone help as I can't find it on the downloads on the Apple site OR on a Google search or anything! Thankyou!

I can only provide some basic information about AirPort Utility 5.0. I have no experience with a Graphite Base Station and its utilities.
According to this link, the only way to get AirPort Utility 5.0 is to install the software that accompanies the AirPort Extreme 802.11n Base Station.

Mainly in the code snippet from the second URL I could find that this is nothing but a variable.
for example vWinCal above , is a local variable which points to the calendar above.
similarly gWinCal is a global Calendar-Window object and nothing more.
You were not able to find it - since you will not find much of code level variable definitions
anywhere.
It is everewhere used as a object only which has reference to the calendar window.

You might profit from a visit to a Minneapolis Apple store. With a brand new Mac, I think they will be most helpful - not just with transferring files, but with other advice as well. And I strongly recommend you invest in a back up drive. The Apple folk can help with that as well.
