Where I try to install Adobe pro 9 I receive a message my serial number is invalid

I have an Adobe Pro 9 serial number. However when i try to install a full version of the software my serial number is invalid. I have checked with the agents in the Chat support and they told me to post my issue here. The Chat support agent told me that the serial number i'm having is a volume license. Please advise.

If the upgrade serial number is of Retail version & the previous qualifying serial number is of volume, then it is an incorrect upgrade path.
You will need to contact Adobe Support http://adobe.ly/yxj0t6 & get approval for re-serialization only when you have valid proof of purchase as per company guide lines. The discretion to re-serialize depends on the proof of purchase & concerned Team for approval.

1) Check you are imnputing the serial number correctly (zeros instead of ones etc..)
2) If your version of LP9 is the upgrade version then you must first enter the original Logic Po 8 full version serial and then the Logic Pro 9 upgrade serial...
Failing that.... contact Apple for a replacement serial....

you purchased an upgrade version of acrobat. if you don't have a qualifying product (previous acrobat version), you'll need to exchange.

I tried this before and was just re directed here. I've been using Elements for several years with no problem. A registered legal copy. I had to get a new computer due to a storm and now when I try to re-install Elements, I get a message that the serial number is not valid. Any suggestions. I did try live chat and he sent me here.
New computer is running Win XP Pro, same as the older one, but has a new motherboard and cpu. New AMD 64 bit quad 4 with lots of memory and hd space.

The problem is that the authentication servers for CS2/PSE 4 were shut down a couple of years ago. It's not anything you're doing. For a while adobe offered a download of a special version with a serial number that didn't need authentication, but that isn't available anymore.
I think your best bet would be to post here:

and ask if adobe can do anything for you.

Install Adobe Pro XI - S/N error

I originally downloaded/installed Adobe Pro XI TRIAL.
Within the first 30 days, I purchased/downloaded/installed Adobe Pro XI and received a S/N.
During product activation, I input the S/N, which then gives me the error:
"Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer"
Is there something else I have to buy and install?
If so, no such requirement was listed at the time of purchase.

you purchased acrobat pro xi upgrade. to use it you need a qualifying product that you are upgrading.

When I restart my iPad the connect to iTunes comes up and stays on until it shuts down again, I have read a report from Apple support suggesting I reinstall iTunes so I might try that again and also your suggestion which i shall also try, but thanks again - rg1547

Could you please let me know if you are using subscription or bought Acrobat as a one-time purchase.
If its a subscription, then all you need is to sign in at adobe.com using your Adobe credentials and download the software.
Otherwise, you might refer the KB doc link mentioned below to find your serial number:

Can you please check the value of the registry entries at the following location: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
In case the values for any of the entries (i.e. Common AppData, Common Desktop, Common Documents etc.) is referencing to E:\, change the value back to look something like below and you should be good to go.

You can try downloading the 64 bit version. You can download the trial version of the software thru the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.
Be sure to follow the steps outlined in the Note: Very Important Instructions section on the download pages at this site and have cookies enabled in your browser or else the download will not work properly.
