Where in APEX I can manage schemas and users??

SUBJECT:
My USER lost his privilegies to his SCHEMA, where he works. I don't even see my tables! BUT!
I can change my tables with SQL DEVELOPER. Under the same USER. Strange isn't it? Anyway, I want to create FUNCTION through the wizard, but it tells me, that my USER hasn't privilegies. What should I do? I don't know...

I mean - where I can manage relationship beetwen schames and users.

You can use a service like Skype.  Download the (free) Skype app from the App Store and see if that meets your needs.
I have no financial or any other interest in Skype.  I am a Skype customer on my Mac.

  • Schema and user management.

    Hi,
I am planning to create multiple users for a particular schema.
Ex: I have a schema emp_db. will it be possible to create multiple users who access the same schema. I am planning to do an audit on the schema to know which user has done the modification.

will it be possible to create multiple users who access the same schema. Yes, a schema objects can be accessed by several other users in the database. You need to grant privileges to the other users to have access to the objects from emp_db schema.

  • How can one switch to full screen with OSX system i.e. an Apple. Neither Firefox nor Safari can manage this and so it must be an Apple obstacle. Please lean hard on Apple to encourage them to facilitate this simple request.

    Press Function Key 11

You should be able to do that in the next Firefox 4.0 version, so you have to wait for that.

  • Best Practice for managing Groups and Users

We want to create a Corporate Portal for the Department and it's Organizations. We want to have one Portal Public page as the main entry for all our users. When a user login, he will be re-direct to is Organization Portal page.
I need to find a good document, a case study if possible, on how to define my Groups in OID to achieve this. I need a document that explain how to setup and manage Groups for a Corporate Portal.
    Thank you!

    Hi!
The Portal Admin Guide gives a good overview about the groups administration.
I don't know about case studies that address your problem.
When you have different home pages for different groups you can administer this with the Portal Group Profile portlet in the admin section of Portal.

  • When creating users in apex, how can i limit pages depending  the user?

    Hi,
1.When creating users in apex, how can i limit every user in the pages he can run or see depending on the user profile ?
2.Are the user that is created in apex also a user in DB ?
    Thanks in advance
    Yoel

    Yoel -
We're talking about end users of applications you develop in Application Express, not users that login to the development environment.
You do not have to use Application Express to create user accounts for your application. Your apps can authenticate using SSO, LDAP, or other methods. If you use Application Express user accounts, that is only for convenience which may not be convenient in the long run if you have to manage those accounts, but that's up to you.
These Application Express accounts have no relation to database accounts. This situation is slightly different when using the XE database.
Your application's authorization logic determines which users can access the application, pages, or other components, that is, it is not the user account properties, per se, that control application access but rather the application's determination about the properties of the authenticated account in use that allow it to control access. For example, you don't create an account and give it attributes that say this user can access application ABC and pages 1,2, and 7. Instead, you might give that account properties like SALES MANAGER ROLE and the the application would allow only users with SALES MANAGER ROLE (whatever that means) to access certain pages.

  • Restric manager certificate and grant authority

    helloa
first thing i got request from of our managers
basically we manages the Certificate Root server, we have 3-4
domains with same architecture, and we want to get control of
who can manage certificate and whose not
i know that option to restrict with out the security tab configure
    also on templates existing
please share with me some of the knowledge above
    thanks

    Hey Yugi
    Thanks for posting,
As You have mentioned the security tab able to restrict by denied
But, the Certification Authority can be very useful with what
    You have request for:
Try properties the Certification Authority and moved to certificate managers TAB
There You could configure who to restrict and even a specific  template and for who
    Be very careful with it.
I'd be glad to answer any question

  • Difference between target schema and target user

    hi,
Can anyone explain to me what is the difference between target schema and target user? examples will be more welcome then theoratical explanation.
    thanks so much

In Oracle database schema and user is the same things (if you use general authentication by database).
When used external authentication (for example with Windows domains/active directory) schema is a owner of database objects group and you should specify mapping between external usernames and schema to which this user has access when connects to database.
    For example:
    - windows domain user CORPDOMAIN\USER1 can connect to oracle database schema SCOTT;
    - windows domain user CORPDOMAIN\USER2 can connect to oracle database schema SCOTT;
    - windows domain user CORPDOMAIN\ADMIN can connect to oracle database schema SYSTEM;

  • Where can I download the Apple.Schema and the Samba.Schema files?

I'm messing around with trying to use an OpenLdap server (on Ubuntu) to authenticate Mac Clients.
Of course, I need to load the apple schema to do that. Where can I download it? (I do not have a copy of OSX Server to copy it from....)

You can find schemas into the folder : /etc/openldap/schema/ in every Macintosh running 10.5
    Here are they :

  • Extend AD Schema and configure Logon Manager

    Hi,
i tried to extend schema and configure the logon manager but with no success.
When i extend schema in ESSO Admin Console a successful message appear, but when i check the Active Directory for the objects that should appear, non of them are in there.
Can someone please explain me what im doing wrong, or give me a link where the steps to extend and configure logon manager are explained?
    thanks

    I,
    thanks for the answer.
now the AD is extended successfully.
But i have one more problem, in the agent installed in the server machine de apps appear correctly and the users are synchronized correctly, although in other machine that the agent is installed i cant connect to AD (i think) the apps not appear..
When the window "Connect to Active Diretory" of the agent appear i introduce de credentials : Administrator and pass of the AD administrator. Am i right?
I think theres a problem with the connection with the AD and the machine.
    Thanks..

  • How and where can i do a "User GRANT to SYSADM,SYSCTRL,.." ?

    Hello all,
the first time we installed a new SAP-System with sapinst on DB2/LUW V9.
SAP works. (As yet we "drove" DB2 only on z/os)
    SAP Created four db2 User : DB2<SID>, <SID>ADM, SAP<SID> and SAP<SID>DB!
They all have no "Grant" privilege?
How and where can i do a User grant to SYSADM,SYSCTRL,.. ,
    there's no admin?
    Thanks a lot!
    Markus

    Hi Markus,
in addition to explicit GRANTs DB2 LUW has the concept of privileges.
db2<dbsid> is instance owner and part of the SYSADM group db<dbsid>adm.
<sapsid>adm is part of the SYSCTRL group db<dbsid>ctl.
sap<sapsid> is part of the SYSMAINT group db<dbsid>mnt.
In addtion to that <sapsid>adm is DBADM. This right is explicitly granted during the installation with SAPInst.
The relationship between OS group and privilege is controlled by the database manager configuration parameters SYSADM, SYSCTRL and SYSMAINT.
