Where in TestStand is the path of the ReportGen files determined?

Greetings All,
I'm looking for the file that determines the file path to the ReportGen_xxx.seq files.  I've noticed that there are files in the Crogram Files\National Instruments\TestStand 2010\Components\Models\TestStandModels and similar files in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\TestStand 2010\Components\Models\TestStandModels.  I gather that the Program File section is used by Default, please correct me if I'm wrong.  I'm interested in understanding how to call these ReportGen's from other locations or how do I call the ones in the Documents and Settings folder.  This is something that a fellow co-worker and myself were discussing today with reference to the modified SequentialModels that I created some time ago and never thought which location it was coming from so at the time I placed the file in both location.  Thank you in advance for an information that you provide me.
Regards,
Scott

Scott,
If you look in your search directories you can find your answer.  The Public Components Directory comes BEFORE the TestStand Components directory.  Therefore if it is not found in the public one then it looks in the TestStand one.
Technically you should never touch anything in the TestStand folder.  All modifications should be made in the public folder.  It is a way to "override" the default behavior.  And if it doesn't exist in the public folder and you want to modify it then copy it over and modify it.  Keeping the same folder hierarchy that is in the TestStand folder.
So to answer your question.  The path is coming from your search directories.
Hope this helps,

  • Where can i find the cached file?

where can i find the cached file?.
while one video was getting cached . I could see the cached file in the cache directory that mozilla firefox uses which in my pc is .....Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\uujksq39.default\Cache. but later on when the full video was completely cached i couldnt find the file existing in that directory and i still have my session of that firefox opened and can watch the video from the firefox session.
since the cached video is still there ,there most be some place where the firefox is storing that file. is it the case that when the file is big (greater than some threshold value) firefox stores in some other directory?

You can do a search an the about:cache page.

  • Where should I store the collatoral files that are associated with photos stored in lightroom?

Where should I store the collatoral files that are associated with photos stored in lightroom? Items such as pdf files, word documents, etc. How should I connect them to each other so I can find both the photo and the related data?

Lightroom itself will not help you with pdf, word, etc.
However, there is a plugin you can use called AnyFile which will allow you to manage these documents in Lightroom (by assigning keywords and other metadata) so that you can search for all documents (photos, pdf, word, music, powerpoint, etc.) with given metadata.
Because you do this via metadata, it doesn't matter where you put these files. Put them anywhere you want.

  • Where can I find the Labview file OPENCFG1.VI

Does anyone know where I can find the LabVIEW file OPENCFG1.VI?  It would be nice to have a simple text file which list the entire LabVIEW llb directory structure with vi's or a working search function built in.  Maybe I'm not aware of one.  I seen some that browse individual llb's, but not one that does the all llb's.  SS

I found the problem.  When I tried to convert an llb to vi's in a file labview did not allow OPENCFG1.VI to be converted.  I believe this was created in 7.0 which I do not have.  Could I get someone from NI to please convert the VI for me? Regards, SS

    Luc

    Hi Luc,
APEX does not create physical file that is in APEX_APPLICATION_FILES table.
It can only store the file in BLOB format in repository.
So when we upload file APEX stores file in BLOB column of APEX_APPLICATION_FILES table and then use when needed but no physical file.
