Where is 32 bit version of Solaris 11
Given the very large number of 32bit x86 machines being used in business, where is the latest Solaris 11 32bit x86 release. A large number of Corporates have no immediate intention to replace perfectly adequate and functioning hardware.
If the Oracle decision policy is to remain then where is access to the previous Soalris 11 and OpenSolaris repositories and libraries?
Edited by: user9172855 on Nov 18, 2011 8:45 AM
The Solaris 11 Express 2010.11 packages, which support 32-bit, are still in the release repository along with Solaris 11: http://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/release
However, there are no changes being made for Solaris 11 Express.

Where is 64-bit version of reset ulitity?
Bought a used - but in working condition iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen.
Tried to charge/sync it and got a dialog box - not recognized by iTunes.
Not showing up under Devices in iTunes.
Directed me to iPod reset ut ility setup, which will not dowload - its for 32-bit v windows.
Where is 64-bit version of reset ulitity?
Thanks to anyone out there than can help me.
ps; I have done this before with my current iPod suffle 2nd generation, so I know how to sync/reset/charge etc.
Not a newbie. There is no 64-bit Windows version of the utility. This utility is only for the 1st and 2nd gen iPod shuffle (for use when a Restore using iTunes is not possible), and no other iPod models, so a 64-bit Windows version was not needed when these older shuffles were being sold.
It sounds like the computer sees the shuffle as connected, because you get that error message. Also, I assume your other 2nd gen shuffle works properly using the SAME docking cable and USB port on the computer, with the same Windows and iTunes installation.
This Apple document provides advice, when the computer sees the iPod but not iTunes.
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1363
If you can get the iPod to appear as a storage device in Windows, another thing you can try is to reformat it using Windows. shuffle's use FAT32 as the format type, so you can select that option. Also, choose to do a full format, not a "quick" format. This will erase the iPod.
Then, run iTunes. Hopefully, iTunes recognizes the shuffle and prompts you to do a Restore, which will re-erase it, install its software, and set it to default settings. -

how to check which version of hyperic is installed , hyperic 32 bit or 64 bit version on solaris
If you have only a single home, the quickest/easiest way is probably just to check the properties of %ORACLE_HOME%\odp.net\bin\2.x\oracle.dataacess.dll
Or are you asking how to check it at runtime?
If you want to see externally what is actually loaded by an app you can use process explorer
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx
If you want to check it in the app itself:

Hope it helps,

Where to get older versions of Solaris
Can someone tell me where I can download (or buy) older versions of the Solaris OS. I am looking for 2.4, 2.5 and 2.6.
Thanks,
DougThat's a great website, thanks. I also managed to find it on Apples site (link below) by clicking on the 36MB icon (top right). Anyways finally got the Roku working again, so all is good. Hopefully Apple will fix the bug in 7.x in regards to Roku, as there were some nice features in the new release.

Where are the 64-bit versions of Java?
I tried to download the 64-bit version of JDK 5 off this site - but didn't find it. I've heard of 64-bit versions - where are they? I want a 16G heap, and the 32-bit version limits me to 1640M.
> you click on Java SE from the first page,
instead of clicking on any of the links offering
downloads, you must click on "Supported System
Configurations".
Not so. For example, click on the "download" button
next to "JDK 5.0 Update 9". Scroll down.
Linux x64 Platform - J2SE(TM) Development Kit 5.0
Update 9
That's just an example.
~It's also not the only example. By going to java.sun.com -> downloads -> Java SE -> JDK 5 Update 9 there's also 64 bit versions for Solaris and Windows. -
How to define 64 or 32 bit version of Photoshop is installed on computer?
Hi,
Is there way to determinate (from registry for example) 64 or 32 bit version of Photoshop is installed on computer?
Both versions (32 and 64 bit) have identical records in registry.
DmitryIf you are a 64 bit app you can see both the 32 and 64 bit parts of the registry. See the WOW64 section for the 32 bit entries. If you are a 32 bit process you should only see the 32 bit side of the registry.
The interesting keys would be here
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\Photoshop\12.0\
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Adobe\Photoshop\12.0\
If you can find the second key then you are a 64 bit machine and the wow6432 is where the 32 bit version is and the other key is where the 64 bit version is. If you only find the first key you are 32 bit version and that is where the 32 bit version is. This is in theory as what happens if a user only installs the 64 bit version.
What I do is...
If I want to launch 32 I run cscript out of windows\syswow64. The 32 bit version of cscript.
If I want to launch 64 I run cscript out of windows\system32. The 64 bit version of cscript.
Which is pretty funny given the names of the folders!
The type of user running the program of course plays into this as well. I am an Administrator and have that pesky 'are you sure you want to do something' dialog boxes OFF.
I also think you can look at some environment variables to see if you are 32 running on a 64 bit os. But I have not played with those much. Here are some interesting ones from my machine.
PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE=AMD64
ProgramFiles=H:\Program Files
ProgramFiles(x86)=H:\Program Files (x86)

I am trying to utilize a function in SharePoint to permit me to open a library in Explorer mode. The function is available on the Share Point page and when I select the function my IE browser stops working. Unfortunately IE at it's current setup on my system is required for most internal applications. Chrome will not enable most of the functions in the Share Point site so that browser is unusable for my purposes. Upon research the current potential resolution to my problem is to run a 32 bit browser to enable my function. Due to the above mentioned limitations I require a 32 bit version of Firefox but the download only provides a 64 bit version because my system is 64 bit. How can I get a 32 bit version of Firefox?

For what OS as Firefox for Windows from [https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ www.mozilla.org] is only Win32 and will work on 32-bit and 64-bit Windows. Firefox for Mac OSX is a combined 32/64 and There are separate 32-bit and 64-bit versions for Linux.
Where are you downloading Firefox to think it is a 64-bit version?
The WOW64 in a browser useragent on Windows means it is a 32-bit application running of 64-bit Windows. -
What/Where is the 32-bit version of Windows System Image Manager?
I'm running into the problem described as follows in the WAIK documentation: "Windows SIM fails to create a catalog for a 32-bit Windows image from a 64-bit version of Windows SIM. To workaround this issue, use the 32-bit version of Windows SIM to
create catalogs for your Windows images."
Question: Where is the 32-bit version of Windows SIM? I can only find a single download for "The Windows® Automated Installation Kit (AIK) for Windows® 7"
Or are the 32-bit tools included in that version? If so, how do I use those instead?Hi,
The issue should occurs when you install the WAIK on a 64bit Windows 7 machine.
You need install WAIK on a 32bit machine.
Different binary versions of Windows SIM cannot create catalog files for some Windows images of different architecture types. We recommend using the
32-bit version of Windows SIM to create catalog files because this version can create catalogs for all Windows image architecture types. The following list describes the Windows SIM architecture types and catalogs that can be created for each Windows
image architecture type.
x86 Image Manager. Can
create catalogs for x86, x64, and Itanium-based Windows images.
x64 Image Manager. Can
create catalogs only for x64 Windows images.
Itanium-based Image Manager.
Can create catalogs only for Itanium-based Windows images.

Where is the 64-bit version?
It is a bit silly that there still doesn't seem to be a 64-bit version of Skype available for Linux. Do they even produce 32-bit hardware nowadays and are Windows only running 32-bit? What ever the reason - I do not care. I just want my install to be simple, stable and consistent. For my part that means that no other installed software on my computer demands 32-bit libraries. I KNOW how to move over to multiarch, but that is just a plain stupid move to do and even suggest that will show your lack of knowledge.
I am facing the same problem....Skype for rhel 6.5 for 64 bit is not working...how could the support team remain silent..I have asked the same questions as you have mentioned accordingly many days back but still support time seems to be silent

Data Quality Services Installer script - Where is the 64 bit version
Hi.
I have Microsoft SQL Server 2012 - 11.0.2218.0 Enterprise Edition on Windows NT 6.1 <X64> (Build 7601: Service Pack 1) (WOW64) installed on my laptop. The Data Quality Services feature has been installed. When I try and run the DQS client it says I
must run the DQS installer script. I therefore run the Data Quality Server Installer, which is the other option in the DQS menu, and it errors saying 'You are running 32-bit version of DQS installer on 64-bit OS'. I've looked for the 64-bit version but I can't
find it. Any ideas where I can get it from?
Thanks in advance for any help.iTunes 64bit version for Windows is somewhere in the future. Nice to see Apple is obviously doing something to remedy the issue.
