Where is a Mega 180 working fine with all?
I like to know if someone has try a Mega PC 180 in all of his function without problem.
I've still this problem:
the TV Tuner MS8606-040 find only one channel with the Mega 180 software but it find all avaible with the InterVideo.
I've also try to connect it to a TV: i've lost the monitor and to rescue it i've need to remove and reinstalled video driver.....
The remote work only with the Mega 180 software: the ATI AIW Remote work with everything (as a mouse).
Now it start to become a little bit warm... 50° degrees.
So here is actual situation:
LAN: working fine
WLan: working fine
Hdd: working fine
Cd-R: working fine
Video: working fine only with monitor - problem using TV
Modem: working fine
TV Tuner: only one channel avaible.....
Remote: work only with Mega 180 software
CPU: a little bit warm then usual
Reboot: sometimes don't
I was thinking about a Mega 865: now i think it can wait.
So i ask: does exist a Mega PC 180 with MS8606-040 working fine?

I use the 8606-40 Tuner card, and have had no problem tuning the channels in software. Mind you I'm on the NTSC system, and that might have bearing.
I did find that the procedure in building the system is important, what software you use, and versions, etc.
For my build, I partitioned my HDD into 10Gb Boot [NTFS] C:, 10Gb Recovery[FAT32]D:, 100Gb Data[NTFS]E:.
I then installed XP Pro, and made an image on D: with PQ Drive Image, called it XPRAW.PQI, then I added the software on CD from the MEGA180, [do not use the 8606 CD], rebooting after each driver install.
I made another image XP0001.pqi, then proceeded to connect to Windows update site, installed all suggested Critical Updates & Service Packs, and Driver Updates, not the general windows stuff.
Made another image, XP0002.pqi, then ran MSI's Live Update software, and paid particular attention to the versions of software available, so as not to roll back to a previous version.
Made another image, XP0003.pqi.
Now I ran the software to check operation, LED display working fine, AM/FM radio tuning, and memory storage fine.
Ran the Auto Tune in TV mode, and selected all my availble channels.
At this point everything seemed to be working well.
Then I tried the PVR, and had a issue with it shutting itself off.
I have yet to resolve this as the time is not available at the moment.
With the images I have created, I can step back in time, to various installs of software to troubleshoot, and resolve any problems.
But everything else works great, including the IR remote in HIFI and PC mode!
Quite pleased with the overall look, performance, temperature, etc.
If your looking for a viable substitute to MCIII, look at the http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de forums for the port to PC. It looks very promising! [still in beta mode/design]
I would buy another one.......

The first time I opened Firefox after the 'upgrade' to 34.0.5, it restored all of my windows and tabs from the previous session, as it should. But the Window drop-down showed only "Minimize" and "Zoom", and didn't list any windows, not even the one I was in (I'll call it the 'primary', since it's the one that was listed first). If all of the windows were minimized, I would have nothing, but once I made a new window, all of the windows would show up in the Window drop-down. After some trial-and-error, it appears to happen *only* when the active window is the 'primary', it works fine when any other window is active.
How can this be fixed?As I stated I already did this and it was not helpful. The drive is not near capacity, but I could not give you an exact answer on how full it is. I know my data is still there as I can see items but just cannot access any windows or menu items as no text is displayed.

Hello, my father recently passed (using his ID) and I took over the payments on his mac and took his computer. I am not that familiar with mac, but am usually computer savy. However, this one has me stumped. I have no problem starting the built in cam and it seems to work fine with all other programs I've tried using it with. However, it will not work with yahoo. Whether I use normal yahoo messenger or if I try using Yahoo through I chat. The cam button will not light up, therefore, it is not clickable. Which ultimately means I cannot use my cam on yahoo, which is something I use 99% of the time compared to other programs. So why is this happening and what solutions can I take to try and fix this? The mac I am using is: Mac OS X, Version 10.7.4

1) If the iTunes preference window is open when you connect your iPod, the iPod will not be recognized by iTunes.
Also, iPods can work with many iTunes libraries, so that is not the problem here.
Is all the software on your computer up to date?

Does the iPod show up in My Computer when connected to your computer? Does it say Do Not Disconnect?

2) What part aren't you understanding. Here are a couple of free programs you can use to convert videos...
MPEG Streamclip
Videora iPod Converter
The programs should come with documentation and instructions to convert videos.
3) You can go to file-->add file to library, file-->add folder to library, or have iTunes open and drag the files into the iTunes library while viewing the library.. You can also import from CDs.
iTunes needs to be adding the songs to the iPod. You cannot just add the song files to the iPod.

Another user has the same problem with her PC running Windows 7. And she, too, has no problems printing on the other HPs. I or she cannot print to any of three Canon printers in the office.

Please try the following steps,
Download every updates from Apple and HP
Reset or Delete the printer from your mac (it may work trhough USB)
Reset all settings into default settings on your printer
Turn off or unplug mac, printer, modem, router
Plug everything and reboot all
Reconnect the printer to home wifi network and mac also reconnect to the correct network

I have a mid-2010 iMac and just purchased a 2TB TC, I just found out that it can't join existing wireless network with new AC standard so attached to iMac via ethernet with TC's wifi turned off. How do i access TC now? not showing up in disk utility or on desktop. It is working fine with TM. My cheeper seagate drives etc kept crashing, so i didnt trust cheeper back up options anymore. Connected those drives to TM via firewire and could see the drives and access them.
Also, I didn't want to bridge TC with my new fios router that I paid 100 dollars for, to get N speed and also paying 10 dollars more a month for fast speed. I heard that bridging slows down everything and then there can be port issues with mail etc. I connect to the internet via airport only and it is pretty fast. Getting over 50mbs downloads and over 30mbs uploads. Plus everything in my home it connected to my fios router, airport express for music streaming, two apple tvs, vuezone camer system. I really didn't want to monkey around too much with my system. But are there other options to connect the new TC. Can't find info anywhere for this and called apple who gave me the info above. after hanging up, i see that i cant access my TC and I am wondering if i would have to reset it to turn wifi on again to make changes to the drive, turn off blinking light or repair it in disk utility if it should become corrupted.
For other with similar issues i did solve some other problems: when i connected it to my ethernet port on my iMac wifi stopped working. Found that I had to turn off the ethernet in the system>network screen, but then TM didn't see the TC so i restarted after changes and then it saw it.
Now a rant. I can't believe in this wireless age that Apple would make a product that cant join a wireless net work. The apple rep said i could return it and look for the previous TC that would join an existing wireless network. Are we going backwards?

I was assuming airport in this statement in your first post meant the TC or the Express.. but I now realise we are still in the mass confusion stage where apple calls everything wireless an airport. So what you mean is the airport internal card of the computer??

I think this is mistaken.
Putting the TC in bridge mode plugged into your FIOS will not slow the network.. nor will it cause mail or port issues.. in bridge the TC is just a fancy WAP and switch plus the network hard drive.
If the computer is close it will be faster than the FIOS.
You can run both wireless networks with different names.. so it is clear which is which. But you can also setup roaming so the computers themselves pick which is the best wireless.
I tried extending the wireless net work and tried joining wireless network, but the TC kept crashing and I had to keep resetting the TC. the Apple support person said these, extend wireless network and joint wireless network, are no longer a connection option with the new TC because of the new AC protocol.

You cannot extend to a non-apple wireless router.
You cannot use join a wireless network because when you do the ethernet ports will be cut off.
But that has not changed.. I don't think Apple support is correct.. there has been no change with the AC model.. it is simply a fact that apple routers do not work in join wireless mode other than as a dumb client. The same applies to AC as to the earlier version.. but I have asked another person to check this.
Join in the express is the only apple router that still allows an ethernet connection.
For now you best use of the TC is bridged to the FIOS. Wireless you can sort out between several options. -
I have macbook air late 2010 model... it works fine otherwise but it has started being overheated in normal situations where normally it used to work fine and draining more battery....... battery time is almost half now.
should i reset SMC... would it help?I'm doubtful it's a missing driver too, but I feel as though it's driver related. The first time XP was installed, after first boot without installing drivers, it was without sound etc, but fundamentally the system worked. Now after first boot, it's very buggy. Thanks for your suggestion Tonny. I ran the tool but it turns out the HDD is fine. Besides, everything runs fine in safe mode.
Does anyone know if (generally speaking) there is any firmware on the graphics card that would get updated via a Windows update? i.e. is it possible that Windows update downloaded a driver for the graphics card that installed new firmware that wasn't all that compatable with XP? -
No Service message. Works fine with other SIM
Hi everyone. Been having a really frustrating problem over the last few days. Hopefully someone has seen it before. On Sunday, my Iphone 6 suddenly got a 'no service' message where my signal used to be. I thought nothing of it until after driving 230 miles i still had no signal. I tried the following: 1. Reboot phone2. Take SIM out and put back in3. Reset Network Settings4. Full reset of Iphone using Itunes and full IOS 8.4 download5. Tried my SIM in another phone6. Tried another SIM in my phone - this worked straight away and came up with 4G EE So i thought, the SIM card is probably knackered so I went into an EE shop and got a replacement SIM card and they tranferred my number across (24 hours wait). But put the new SIM card in and still No Signal message appears. I try the other SIM card from earlier and this still works straight away 4G EE. I then noticed that if I tried to ring my own number from a different phone, instead of it going to my voicemail as usual you can instead hear a short beep and then the call is disconnected, sort of like when you ring a number that has been disconnected. At this point I contacted EE by telephone to try and get some help. They said there was an 'update' waiting to go through on my account and also that my account had no profile set up on it and it would take another 24 hours. But just after this, I decided to try my OLD sim card again and this worked straight away 4G EE. This is the sim card that my number was transferred from. This worked for about 2 hours and then again I got "no signal". This time I tried to put the new sim card in and it started to work again 4G EE. I could make calls, receive calls and if you called my number and my phone was turned off it went to voicemail. This then worked all day today so I thought the problem had gone away. So to recap I was now using the new sim card and it was working, BUT THEN....just now I have got 'no service' message again. This time putting the old sim card in does not fix the problem. It stays at "no signal'. If I put another EE sim card in (the IPAD one) it comes up with EE 4G straight away. Putting either of the SIMs that are allocated to my phone number gets 'no service'. Also if you try and ring my number, it again gives you the disconnected beep instead of voicemail. This looks to me like there may be a problem with my number on the EE server?? The problem I'm having is that it is very difficult to convice the phone tech support people of this, they keep telling me to turn my phone off and on, reset it, all the usual scripted rubbish and wait 24 hours but it works fine with the IPAD sim card (which has a different phone number) Any help or ideas would be appreciated because last time something like this happened was when I tried to tranfer my old number across and after 2 weeks I had to give up and get a new number because the tech guys didnt fix it. Hi, I have had exactly the same problem as you. EE reset my account, I did several Network resets. No joy. Got a new SIM from an EE shop yesterday, started working about an hour ago, only to stop working 30 mins later. Switiching phone on and off, performing Network resets haven't helped. Phoned EE. They promised it would be sorted by 8AM this morning. Here's hoping..... In the meantime, I have topped up a PAYG SIM which works perfectly. Looking at this forum, Twitter and Facebook, tens of thousands of users appear to be having a similar problem. Seems to affect the whole country and be fairly random in whom it affects (None of the other phones on my account are affected).

Trying to download image files into lightrrom 5 on an imac running 10.8.5. Works fine with camera roll section but Icloud section does not appear as source in lightroom. How to access?
You need to sync them in iTunes and download them there, then simply open them from the folder where they are stored in other programs.

My 10.7.3 Time Machine won't work with external disks. Worked fine with Snow Leopard, and even Lion 10.7.1
I have tried everything, even buy new external disk from different manufacture.
If I cant get a fix soon, I am downgrading back to SnowL.Still no luck. I tried all the tricks, reconfiguring TM (remove selected disk option, and re-setting it, and trying different disks). Tried new combo updater, and the newer TM update after that. Tired two different disks too (one is my older firewire WD MyBook 1TB, and my brand new 3tb Seagate GoFlex USB... either one plugged into back of computer - no intermediary devices). I did get the TM buddy wiget and it produced the following log, from the last attempt, where I setup lots of exclusions so that backup quantity was small (under 10gb). Still it failed to complete. Here is that log, for what it is worth:

Backing up to: /Volumes/TM-Disk/Backups.backupdb
9.56 GB required (including padding), 911.15 GB available
Waiting for index to be ready (101)
Copied 0 files (0 bytes) from volume Mac HD.
Backup canceled.
To prove a point, I will take these disks are run them on my other Tiger and Snow Leopard laptops to prove TM works fine on those with these disks. But I fear the only options are to either have my tech re-install LION... or just have him reinstall SL instead. Im at wits end. -
I have an Iphone 4 and it keeps kicking in the 3G instead of using my wifi. My wifi works well with all other devices and the password is fine. I connect and it show the connection then goes back to 3G. Thank you
This crap just happened to me this morning where I was sent 90% data plan threshold warningfrom AT&T (while sleeping at 7:09am) then 5 minutes later getting the Overage data plan warning from AT&T. This is all while I'm asleep right next to my phone plugged into a (non-Apple) dock on my clock radio.
Android has a limiting feature, why can't the "smart" guys at Apple learn from this?? -

Thanks. I got the problem fixed. Spent time with the Apple folks and was kicked up to a senior advisor. It seems the problem was with my internet provider - Tmie Warner. Remember I could use the old ipad and the iphone to send mail. I checked all the specifics between the three units. It seems that TW is changing over from the RR.com to TWC.com. Since the new ipad air was just set up, it fell under the new TWC mail specifics.

If you have records that show that you've taken your MacBook Pro in for a year to fix the machine, I would escalate the problem to Apple Customer Relations - unfortunately I don't have a number for Spain.
It would only seem logical to me that if you've been trying to have the machine repaired during the time that the 'recall' was in effect that you should be eligible for a new logic board. But only customer relations will be able to make that call.
Good luck - take the issue as high up the food chain as you can and see what happens.

I really don't want to lose all of the music I have on my ipod touch. It worked fine with my ipod and my old laptop but I got a new laptop and now it doesn't want to sync anything except purchases I made on the ipod and everything that was in the cloud. The rest of the music on my ipod is from old CDs and I am away from home. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could give me some advice. I also don't really want to pay for a download that moves the music into itunes so if anything is free and safe that would be great or if there is a way to do it manually. Again thanks to anyone who has advice to share.
You would have to purchase a 3rd party program ( not supported by Apple).
The ipod is not a storage/backup device.
Copy everything from the old computer or your backup copy of your old computer.
