Where is Active Sync finding all my contact information

No device
I recently acquired a Palm Treo Pro, to replace my Treo 650. I have quite a few contacts stored on my 650 Treo, but they don't show up in my Outlook Contacts, and I have never been able to see any contacts in my Palm Desktop Address book. Anyhow, when I ran Active Sync, it pulled in all kinds of old contact information, and in many cases replicated many of the entries. What I would like to know is if anyone knows where it is picking up this information, and is there a way to edit it on my desktop, and then do another Active Sync, making the Desktop replace the handheld data. Any ideas or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

You should make a back-up of your contacts on your computer anyway, regardless if you proceed.
On my Macbook I go into Contacts> File> Export> Export Archive

  • IOS7 syncing with MS Outlook 2010 no longer syncs all the contact information

    With the new iOS7 on an iPhone 4s, syncing with MS Outlook 2010 on win XP, the phone no longer syncs all the contact information as it used to before I updated to iOS7 and iTunes 11.1, and now ignores the "Home" addresses I have on Outlook.  It also apprears to miss some other bits of information too, but the home addresses are key for when I am away from the computer. How can I resolve this syncing error? Thank you.

    The same thing is happening to me since upgradng to iOS7, although I am syncing contacts with Mac contacts, not Outlook.

  • How do I find all my contacts that have disappeared from my iphone and computer?

    I have an iphone 4s   IOS 8.02 and a 27" late 2013 Imac OSX 10.9.5. All my contacts have disappeared.
    Where did they go? How do I get them back?

    If you are syncing them with iCloud, try going to Settings>iCloud on your phone, turn Contacts off, choose Keep on My iPhone when prompted, then turn it back on and choose Merge.
    If that didn't restore them, you may be able to restore them from your iCloud backup by following this user tip: Recovering deleted iCloud contacts from an iCloud backup.

  • NDS Gateway Active Sync Listing All users on each poll

    When Sun Identity Manager 6.0 sp1 runs an active sync poll event with the NDS Resource Adapter against the Gateway the following behaviour is exhibited within both the customer environment and the Lab environment.
    The Gateway will list all the users using the Novell Client, even users who have not had their modification timestamp updated since the last poll.
    The Gateway will then return the relevant users to the Sun Identity Manager application. Using the Search Parameter modification timestamp as can be seen below.
    <SearchParameters>
    <Map>
    <MapEntry key='modificationTimestampFilter'>
    <Long>1166504812</Long>
    </MapEntry>
    </Map>
    </SearchParameters>
    This is causing the Synchronisation process at the customer to take much longer than necessary. Every time Sun Identity Manager polls the resource all the users are listed within the gateway service.
    Can you please confirm if this is the expected behaviour? Or should the gateway only be listing users that have been updated since the last poll event.

    Their is an issue with the NDS adapter. Contact Sun support, they have an appliance that can be installed to rectify.
    Good luck.

  • Sync merges ALL my contact groups onto iPhone

    I have my Outlook set up with 4 sets of contacts. The main one that I use at my desktop everyday is just called Contacts, but I have 3 other groups with different names. What they share is that I rarely need to use them. They are either specific to a topic/activity, or they are in a file of "Seldom Used" because I just don't really need them at my fingertips any longer. My iPhone, though, mergers all of them into one big, fat contact list on my phone. Is there a way to only sync with my current, active Contacts file and ignore the others? If so, how do I get rid of all the contacts that are already in my iPhone?

    Hi Winston Churchill,
    Thank you for answering my question, now I know that only iCloud contacts are synced with iCloud.  Going forward, how can I make sure that when I create a new contact that it is included in the iCloud group.
    My iphone is backed up (synced) to PC at work so all my contacts are saved in that PC. Can you help me understand what you mean by "If your iOS device can be synced with your PC, sync all your contacts to your contact application and move them between groups there."  Can you tell me how I can move the contacts between the groups? Sorry this is all so new to me and I am so lost!! I dont know what the contact application is....  I must sound so dumb. I'm really not in other areas in my life - LOL.
    Thank you for taking the time to help me.

  • Will my next sync replace all the contacts I just deleted?

    That's basically my question. This is for an iPhone 4 running iOS6. I just deleted a bunch of contacts on the phone. So when I next sync, will they all get put back on?
    My contacts are currently sycned to iCloud via a Hotmail account.

    No, i had this problem, as i shared Apple ID with my brother when i first got my phone, and i deleted all his contacts out of my phone not knowing they would delete out of his, and he tried to get them back that way, but it wouldn't work as they had already been deleted. And when you back something up, all its doing is storing the items on you device, and if you have deleted the contacts, there not there to be stored.

  • I can't consolidate all my contact information!

    When I write an email in Mail, several email addresses autofill in the 'To' field upon typing a first character. That said, the information is nowhere to be found in Contacts.
    In brief, there appears to be lost information floating around my Mac. Please help me find it so that I can add all those email addresses that are stored somewhere on my computer, evidenced by their autofilling, and sync them with Contacts so that I have all of the information married together.
    Many thanks in advance.

    Sign in on each device at System Preferences>iCloud or Settings>iCloud as applicable. Turn on each type of syncing you want to use.

  • Find my friends contact information

    In Find My Friends I was presented with a button to add contact information. Unfortunately I selected the wrong contact. Now the name shown is incorrect but I see no way to edit or change it.

    I have the same problem except that all my contact locations shows up in either Korean or Japanese. I think this started to happen after a business trip to Shanghai. Now friends see my location in a foregin language instead of English. I have no idea were to reset it.

  • Can't find all my contacts

    Hello again.
    Skype seems now to have changed the definition of what a contact is.  I had contacts in the old version that are now not listed, but when I type in the number, the name does come up, and it tells me "X is not in your contacts".  Well, how the hell do you think you knew who X was?  I don't understand this and it's very annoying.  Where do I find these and how can I add them to my list?
    Thanks.

    What exactly is your "the most current,  update version"?
    Are you on the "modern" (metro) Skype app for Windows 8/8.1 or Skype for Windows desktop version?

  • I synced my friends ipod to my itunes, and all our contact information switched around and now my apple ID won't connect to iTunes Store anymore. What happened?

    After I synced my friend iPod to my iTunes, our information got all messed up. Any emails apple sent to me, she would receive and I got all the messages sent to her. Whenever I tried to use my apple ID to download an app or anything, the password wouldn't work even though I was using the correct email and password. So I restored my iPod and created a new apple ID, and now the ID works, but whenever I try to get an app, it says "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". What do I do to fix this?

  • Can anyone tell me why Facebook won't sync to all my contacts in my iPhone 4S. Even when the name are exactly the same as they appear on fb?

    I just got my iPhone 4S today and I'm trying to finish getting everything set up how I like it... Unfortunately, I can't figure out why certain contacts won't sync to Facebook even though the names are exactly the same as they appear in Facebook... Help please >_<

    Not sure why, but any problem with a 3rd party app is the responsibility of the 3rd party app developer - in this case Facebook.

  • HT201269 I tryed to updaye my I phone nad when I did I lost all my contact information, it said it was backing it up but know I can't find it to reinstall on my phoe

    I need to know how to put the info that is backed up on my computer ( contacts ) back on my I phone- I lost all my info when I tried to update the software

    If you want to restore your phone to a backup on your computer, connect your phone to iTunes, right-click on the name of your phone on the left side and select Restore from Backup.  However, contacts are often not recoverd from a backup; maybe you'll get lucky though.

  • Would erase and sync delete all my contacts, apps, messages and photo?

    Can someone please help me!!! Thanks!
    I formatted my laptop and now i downloaded this new iTunes. I am using a Sony laptop.
    I just want to add new songs into my iPhone. I selected the song list i wanted from itunes, and the clicked "sync music". Here comes the erase and sync option.

    On your PC just log on to the iTunes account you originally used to purchase the apps and re-download them. You do not have to pay again but you may get a receipt that says $0.00.
