Where is address book located

The latest version of Mozilla thunderbird seems to have totally removed the address book. logo I've serched eevry where, and it isn't showing up any where. It used to be on the top of the email panel now there is only about three things there also the File and Tools line seem to have dissapeared as well.

  • Where is the data file for the address book located, I need to restore mine from backup but don't know where it is.

Where is the data file for the address book located, I need to restore mine from backup but don't know where it is to do so.  Putting my Mac Pro onto icloud synching contacts resulted in duplicate and triplicates of the same cards.  I have a few THOUSAND contacts and the last time this happened was on mobile me.  that had a function where you could replace info on the mobile me server with info on the computer.  I see no way to do that on the new cloud.

In the stupidly hidden user's Library->/Application Support/AddressBook/ labeled as AddressBook-v22.abcddb
For TM restores, see Pondini's TM FAQs for starters, since I don't use TM.

  • Where is Address Book data located?

I know the Address Book application is located in applications but I can't find the old address book data from my previous internal hard disc (which information I am now accessing via an external reader).
    Thanks all!

It's in your home folder, in Library/Application Support/AddressBook. Quit Address Book completely, and copy all files and folders therein to the same location on your new drive.

  • Issue where Global Address book cannot be searched on IPhone6

    Good Morning,
Our CEO has been having a recurring problem where he is not able to search our Global Address book on his IPhone6.  Last time he had the issue, they made some sort of setting change on his phone and it worked.  Now it is not working again, but
they want to rule out an Exchange\Active Sync problem.
His Exchange account is setup on his IPhone (which is company issued).
Composes a new email.  He types in the first few letters of the last name and it should bring up all possible matches from our Address book.  This is not happening.  If it is someone he has emailed prior, the autofill will bring up their name.
I have a company issued Android phone and I have not had the issue.
Looked in the ECP and his phone is listed and is synching as it should. Is there anything as an Exchange admin that I can look at to determine what can be the problem.  My personal feeling is that this is something that was changed on his device, but
being he is the CEO, we must do our due dilligence.
    Thank You
    Brian Dougherty

    Hi Brain,
Do you have more users reporting the same issue in your company, i am suspecting a client issue until you see more ppl are coming back and reply, could you review the article below?
    http://contact-outlook.itrezzo.com/2014/05/Global-Address-List-iPhone-Search-vs-Sync.html
or you want to post the question in the 'Apple' - support forum.
My target would be to check on the client then on server to start with.
    Regards

  • Where is Address Book stored?

I accidentally deleted a contact address on my iPhone Address Book, and iCloud almost immediately removed it from my MacBook Address Book also.
Where can I find the contact in my Address Book in Time Machine to look up the old Contact address?  Or is it in some format we can't access?
    Thanks!
    Mark

The Address Book application is integrated with Time Machine. First, disable iCloud synchronization. Launch Address Book and set it to a view that would show the missing contact if it were there. Enter Time Machine. Scroll back through the Address Book snapshots until you find one that shows the contact. Select it and click the Restore button in the lower right corner of the screen.

  • Where is Address book Icon in Mail "send" toolbar

Installed Lion.  Could not find the "address book" icon in the send toobar.  It was in Leopard, however I cannot seem to find it in Lion.  Is it no longer available or am I just not looking in the right place?

I did find that Icon however if you are in the main menu for mail it IS there.  However if you hit New Message a new window comes up and that tool bar does not have the "man" icon.  I have to pull the window down some so I can see the main menu, then click on the "man" to get the address book.   I tried to pull the icon into the send window but it would not transfer.  Just seems awkward to me or maybe I am missing something.
The Address Book Icon was in the send window on Leopard as I recall.

  • I cannot find where my address book went.

When I open the address book, the blue light is on but it seems to be off the screen somewhere and I can't access it. When I click mission control, I see it but it is gone again once I've clicked on it?? HELP!

I only have one monitor. Is it possible to push a combo of keys (like shift F8) to toggle between screens like a PC? Maybe I hit this combo and don't realize?
    Thanks for your help:)

  • Where is address book?

Just installed Lion and migrated my user data from Snow Leopard. There is no address book at all. The icon appears in the dock, but with a question mark. How can I get a working Address Book for Lion? Do I need to simply copy my old app over from 10.6, or what? Thanks for help.

That's odd... it has nothing to do with migrating your user data, this is a standard app that is installed as part of the OS. Could you have moved AB out of the Applications folder or put it into a subfolder in 10.6?
If you still have your 10.7 installer, I'd run it again. If not, re-download it by going to "Purchases" at the AppsStore.
It will install in place and not touch your other files.

  • Where is address book content stored?

Had a HD crash and have a backup but not sure which file is the one with the contents of the previous address book. Thanks for any help.

    Should be in /Users/YouUserName/Library/Application Support/AddressBook

  • Wheres the address book in mail

When I send a message in mail in the "To" field there is no shortcut to the address book at the end of the field.
I have my contacts arranged into lots of different contact groups, which I use to visually and easily navigate to them the predictive input is frequently useless, and disorientating. Sometimes I cant use it at all because I don't know the first letter of a contact I just know what contact group its in and its a case of I'll recognize it when I see it, how do I get the address book short cut in the "To" field back

What you need to do is add the Address Book button to your button bar in two places.
    1. Right click on the Mail button bar and select Customize Buttons. Then add the Address Book button to the button bar.
    2. Compose a new email. Right click on the button bar within the compose and select Customize Buttons. Add the Address Book button to your button bar.
Now, whenever you open Mail, you'll see a button to click for Address Book and whenever you compose an email you'll have the Address Book available.

  • Where does address book store its addresses?

I have tried to do an 'archive install' of 10.5.4, then up to 10.5.8 after having installed snow leopard (10.6.2) and stupidly assumed that my addresses (and calendar in iCal) would be there somewhere or in my backed up libraries on external HD...
but cannot find a trace...any kind person know where they would be?

It affects decision to upgrade to SL, because once you do it (a) you probably need to give it a 2 month run to test it fully (b) by then pre-upgrade info is getting a bit out of date (c) a return to 10.5 seems difficult without loss of information if, as I am experiencing, the 'previous system' folder does not contain any information added during the 10.6 trial period.
It COULD BE that IF I had had a time machine or used other software to make a full-off computer back up from 10.6 that would be readable by 10.5, there would be no problem. But I would need a report from someone who has actually done this successfully to be convinced.
I am actually finding more and more problems, eg at present I cannot send email, though for a while I was receiving it perfectly well, I think maybe because I HAD to feed in new information 'blind' before I could get access to Mail at all and it is now nearly impossible to correct the anomaly - but that is a Mail question which I am probably about to post

  • Where is address bar location, to type "about:config"

I go to a particular website, it takes more than 5 seconds to load, and Forefox gives me this annoying "unresponsive script," knocking me off the site because continuing button never works.
I wish to change to 20 second wait, but I'm not a computer technician. Help!

Be careful if you disable that warning by setting the value to 0.<br />
If something goes wrong then you either have to wait a long time or force the browser to close via the task manager and may need to start Firefox in [[Safe mode]].
