Where is an App that Spotlight says is in my HD Applications?

Spotlight and Launchpad show I have an Application "Mac2Tivo" in Applications on my MBP HD.
But I cannot locate the app! I want to delete it. But other than these 2 sites I cannot locate it. When I cmd-O, I get message that it cannot be opened since it is an Unidentified Developer, downloaded by Safari in April 2012!
I certainly have never used it!
Where can I find it so that I can remove it?
Actually there are a few other applications so listed but "hidden" that I would remove.

I knew about Spotlight's ability to display more info (like, location), but since Mavericks it has been "scarce" to reveal.
I did not know about Cmd and click to get it to dispaly. It seemed to me just hover over item and it would usually show. Even now with this new info it seems erratic about those options working: sometimes opening the folder where the app is (in this case Titanium Folder ), or a side-window with pathway to source, or not at all on occasion.
Is this another new peculiarity of Mavericks?

How do i delete an app that just says 'loading...' but never has an X

i downloaded garage band. I have also re-synced my ipad and my computer many times.
the problem: the garageband icon just forever says 'Loading....' but never actually does.
I cannot delete it like a fully loaded app because there is never an 'X' that is there when you press it.
I have tried to reload the app by simplye plugging into the computer as normal when you 'sync' but this app never leaves the 'loading...' mode.
Help! I either want the app to load and work or I want to delete it.
For now, since we cant seem to get it to work...how do i delete it?

I've just been through this experience with Pages. I assume the application shows up in your iTunes, under Apps, correct? If so:
1) with your iPad connected to your computer, CTRL click on your iPad name under Devices and select the Back-up option.
2) from your Summary page (see menu buttons at top of screen), select the Restore button. NOTE: This is going to restore your device to factory settings and will take a little bit of time).
3) when the Restore function is finished, there will be an option on the screen to restore from you iPad backup. Click on that.
At this point, my Pages application was now an active and accessible icon on my iPad.
One caveat, this morning when I downloaded a small "to do" app from the App Store, I watched as my Pages icon on the iPad went into "Paused" mode and then plunged into the perpetual "Loading" and/or "Waiting" modes again. After repeating the steps above, it is once again active on my iPad, but I now wonder if I'm going to have to back up, restore to factory setting, and then re-install everything each time I download a new app...? Only time will tell.
This is a problem associated with the 3G service, with it's 20MB limit and, I'm assuming, will occur with every download that exceeds 20MB...?
I understand that access to WiFi resolves the issue; unfortunately, I don't have WiFi.

Downloading an app that keeps saying waiting?

I have an ipad mini and have tried updating minecraft. In the itunes store on my ipad it says installing but under the app it says waiting. I have tried everything I know and cannot get this to update. I am unable to play it as well. I tried deleting the app and cannot do that either. Can anyone help me? Its been like this for about a month now.

I have posted this many times and some of the suggestions have worked for others in the past. Skip anything that you've already tried. Maybe there is something in here that will help.
1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Have a new ipad, where are the stocks, weather and utilities apps that are on my iphone?

I am trying to find where the stock apps that are on the iphone4 are. I am missing stocks, weather and all of the utilities. Do I have to go to the app store to find them?

Those apps aren't included on the iPad for whatever reason. You'll have to download apps to replace those.

Updating apps that require a newer version of IOS

I've decided to hold of on updating my iPad until the WiFi/4.2.1 issues are worked out. Since then I've ran into an issue with two apps that required 4.2 or higher. No big deal there. They download then don't install, and when I connect to iTunes, it says my IOS needs to be updated for the app.
My question is when you go into the update page of the App Store on the iPad, does it only show updates in which you are able to install the update on your running version of IOS? I was hoping it would allow me to "click" the app that it says there is an update for, but that doesn't work. So far I've searched for the app again to check it's requirements. Works but time-consuming.
Basically, I don't want to update something then it go "this version requires a newer IOS." and then it just leave me without my app. I'm not sure if that's how it would behave, but I don't want something to happen with one of the apps I use regularly.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Here's the thing... I work in IT. There's a reason why a good admin doesn't turn on "Automatic Updates" because sometimes updates don't work. Perhaps the issues with WiFi are only a batch of iPads, perhaps it's only with certain routers, or perhaps it's trolls. I don't know... but until I'm satisfied with the results people are getting with the update OR I have no choice, I'm not updating. There's no dishonor in waiting for a patch if it is not critical and you can get by without it for the time being. Right now, there's too much uncertainty for me to make my iPad an expensive way to play Angry Birds. If I can't connect to the Internet with it, it's not very useful to me.
If and when an app needs an update that doesn't work with 3.2.2, it just won't get updated. If I get to that point where I have to update, I'll cross my fingers and go for it.
That said, if someone has an answer to my question about the apps and their behavior in the Update portion of the App Store, that would be great.

If you've checked all of your homescreens and app folders and can't find them (there is a limit of 11 homescreens that are visible), and you can't find them via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then are thay hidden by an ap age rating in Settings > General > Restrictions ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find them after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

How to Build a Flex App that works with both SQLite and MySQL?

Let me explain a bit: I am developing an app that will
be published as an AIR application using SQLite, as well as a FLEX application that will use MyDSQL via web services.
I want to develop both applications in such a way that all the components can be reused, and I only have to do minimal redevelopment. I have started witht the AIR application. Once I have it completed, I want to publish the application (with minimal redevelopment) as a FLEX web app.
My thinking is that I contain the database accesses in the Application, and passing the data via interfaces to the respective modules, as well as receiving data from the modules back to the Application to be written to the database. This was the only changes between the FLEX and the AIR application will be how the database access is handled in the Application file, and I can leave all modules as is and will be able to maximize reusability,
I haven't done this before, and was wondering what the best approach for this is?

It seems very difficult to find best practices on how to structure your database layer in FLEX. None of the books I have go into detail about it, nor do any of the websites I have found so far, including the Adobe Flex tutorials. Sure, they explain how to interact with databases, but don't seem to care about best practices for structuring your application.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for this?

The Mt Lion installer deletes itself from your Apps folder when it has finished the installation. It is available to download again should you ever need it, such as to install on one of your other qualifying Macs. You don't have to continue to download it and install, it's installed.

There must be a problem with the app store right now as a number of people seem to be having this problem right now. Try purchasing it using iTunes on your computer, accept the terms and conditions there, then either sync it to your phone or download it on your phone as a past purchase (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519).

If you open the Maps app where does that say you are located?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby routers that are in Apple's database of routers and their location. Thus it appears that Apple's database is incorrect. You do not have to be connected to the router, just within range.
Apple periodically updates their database based on information they obtain from iPhones, The iPhone has to have turned on the option to send info to Apple. no one has found another way to get the location of a router added/corrected.
You can confirm that by going to well-know place with wifi like Starbucks or McDonalds

While all you want is just to place pins, realize that Motion has so much more. All kinds of effects and they can be really customized. Maybe put their street address, contact name, and phone number by the pin?

If you're using the map for, say, deliveries, and use an iPad, what you could do is have a general map of the area imported into Motion, create the pins and whatever, then save (share?) it to the iPad.

Why did an app that I deleted to redownload it again say that the item no longer exist?

I had went to the app store to update my apps, and when I did, the blue dots did appear near the icon, but the apps where still in the update selection. Confused, I tried to update them again, but the system said that the item no longer existed in the app store. Not knowing what it meant, I deleted one of the apps to re-download it again. But when I went back to the app store to download the app, the message popped up saying that the item no longer existed in the app store. I kept on trying to make it download, but it wasn't working. I realized that I had just lost an app that I really liked. What is the issue of this problem, and why isn't the app store letting me re-download my app? Please respond quickly.

That error message is usually indicative of a problem with the App Store. If you look through the forums, you'll see that a number of people are experiencing the problem. Try again tomorrow.

It basically copied all my itunes files from my C drive onto ipod in my efforts to move the library.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas?
