When is Apple going to address the issues of freezing, buggy and just about uselessness of their latest upgrade for Ipad 2 users? I had to try three times just to post this complaint!

When you do an update, and especially if you notice sone problems now, you should always do a "clean install" which will load a fresh system on your device, instead of using your existing software on your device. And you can see the reason why ... because IF you're having problems with the present software that is on your system right at the moment, why would you want to continue with that troublesome software and load Apple's "changes" on top of your "trouble". That doesn't make any sense. SO ... you do a procedure that loads a completely fresh system on your device, which is what resetting to factory default is.
Make sure you do your backup, and understand what is saved and what is not saved. Then make sure your anti-virus software is turned off on your computer, so that the iTunes program doesn't run into any problems. FaceTime is down, where is Apple when you need them?

Just wanted to say that Facetime isn't working for me on my iOS devices and my Macbook Air. This problem is not limited to IOS. Where is Apple, and why aren't they letting us know what is going on? It would save everyone a lot of time if they gave us some sort of update, but that is probably too much to ask right?

You are not addressing Apple here.
This is a user to user forum, this is spelled out in the terms of service you agreed to when you joined.
There is no Apple server for your email.
servers are set up, used and maintained by whatever email service you use-such as rediffmail.
Go threaten them.

If you can no longer rent, where do Apple TV purchases store?

I got confused when I saw the posting about "stll being able to rent", as I knew that Apple discontinued all TV rental services through iTunes and Apple TV. I'm not sure if movie rentals have been discontinued as well, however, I see that the option to rent is still available via iTunes on my iPhone.
In terms of what happens when a show is purchased, I did see (as Winston suggested) how that works. I bought something (LOST), and after purchase it showed up on my Apple TV download list. Once I synced my iPad and iPhone it also showed up on those devices, as well as under the "Television" tab on my iMac (in iTunes). Thus, it appears as if all purchases (and I suspect movie rentals as well) are maintained on the "Cloud".

Where does Apple collect their Date & Time Information?

I'm trying to isolate a problem for why the date and time for Unalaska and Dutch Harbor, AK when set automatically is on Hawaii Time when it should be on Alaska Time. The islands further west on the Aleutian Island Chain are on Hawaii Time, but not Unalaska Island. While in Unalaska, I have to set date & time on all my Mac devices to manual, and switch it back to automatic whenever I leave. As much as I travel, it is a nuisance having to switch back an forth between automatic and manual. This has been an ongoing problem for the past 2 or 3 years, and previously, it worked correctly.
I've noticed that some date/time websites have it wrong, but some have it correct. So, if I can find out where Apple collects their Date & Time information, I should be able to figure out whether it's an "Apple" problem or an "ISP" problem.

I downloaded a movie trailer today from Apple and it played in Quicktime. I want to delete it now but I can't find it anywhere! I have OS X Mountain Lion 10.8. I searched the internet and there no suggestions that work on my operating system. How do I find this file and delete it?

Actually, "Depending on where you saved it" doesn't really apply here. If you select download on any of the Apple trailers, it launches Quicktime and starts downloading it inside Quicktime. I looked for a "save as" from Quicktime but don't see it.
Specific work flows depend on the QT player used, Mac OS in use, and/or manner in which Apple has most recently programmed the "Trailers" web site. For Instance, today the files I tried to view would not open in either player directly so I simply recovered the URL for the files I wanted to view and manually opened them in both QT X and QT 7 Pro players under Mountain Lion. In QT X you use the "Export" option to save the original data to a local MOV file at the location of your choice. You can do the same thing using the QT 7 Pro player using the "Save" or "Save As..." options. File can also be saved as a reference file using the QT 7 Pro player.
I'm sure it downloads somewhere, but it must have a cryptic filename because I Can't find then either!
Also not sure how/where the data is currently cached locally. (Method seems to vary and it never seemed worth the effort to locate them or try to keep up with changes since more direct work flows are available.)

i foolishly updated my MacPro and laptop to 10.7.3, but then discovered that it messed up some of my Pro apps like Nikon Capture NX2, which is only supposed to work on 10.7.2
i have been trying to find anyway to go back, and was informed that i had to erase and start from the OS that came with my mac
so i went back to 10.6.4, and have now updated to 10.6.8
then went to the App Store in order to update to 10.7.0, which i had already bought
but the App Store only offers me 10.7.3, and no earlier versions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
where can i get 10.7.0?
(i have the combo update which is available on the downloads of Apple website, but this is obviously no good without the base 10.7 already installed)
this appears to be a problem that Apple has created by not selling OS on discs anymore

I have always made a habit of keeping system updates on external drives, just for my own OCD ways. I downloaded Lion 10.7 and have also kept the updates since. I also have backups of the last few system updates, but do get rid of them after I realise the newer updated backups are all I require.
So where did I learn about backups and saving updates? By reading Apple Media and coming to the forum here and elsewhere and reading up on it. The serious Computer user should really make a concerted effort to protect their data and system set ups in the most secure way they can. An $80 1TB backup drive can be the difference between smooth transitions and reinstalls and problems as you are experiencing now.
Just some food for thought for the future. There is more often than not no second chances for system and drive crashes. Protect your data at all costs.
