Where is apps store toolbar

When i go to the apps store on my iphone, it takes me to the search page.  How do I get back to the main page with the browser toolbar at the bottom where I can choose category, games, productivity, etc. ?

So, you can't see the toolbar at the bottom?  Can you post a screenshot of what you see?
Assuming no toolbar, try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

    Thanks for the help,
    Kevin

you can also visit the itunes store and click on the first badge on top or use the app store link in the left menu..
as soon as you download an app from the app store, the application button in itunes will appear automatically.

  • My iPod Touch (4th G) - Where's App Store App?

I just bought this for my son and neither Messages nor App Store apps were there. I just updated to 5.0.1 and, after working for about 30 mins last night "organizing" apps on specific pages for my son, the apps are now where Apple/iTunes wants to put it. The Message app is now there, but not the App Store one. Any ideas?

    Hi jtcollins,
Try going to the main Home Screen and swiping left to right to start the Spotlight feature. Type "App Store" into the search box and it should come up.
If it's missing, you may have accidentally enabled Parental Controls. To turn those off, go to Settings > General > Restrictions and turn them off.
    Hope this helps,
    O.C.

  • HT3662 Have at least a malware, or it could be worst. Need to know where  in app store "Virus Barrier or CLANXAV

I am not sure exactly what happen, but I was reading my e-mail and I like  the article.  Since  I was slow in typing , I notice some strange additional typing not my own while checking my spelling/tenses. Frankly, in my personal opinion, it is  more a of compliment for  the well- written article I meant to the people very close to me. I think nothing of the offensive insertions which whoever wrote  must be in real bad mood to disagree with my point of view. That is if  anybody can do that  i must have a malware , a trojan, or must be re-directed.  I took out  the offensive  words, put my own opinion & sent my e-mail which failed. Need to verify if it is true?

I'm afraid I have no idea what you're talking about. Can you be a little clearer about exactly what happened? It sounds like someone may have modified something you wrote somewhere, but I have no idea where or how. Getting a clear description of the symptoms will be extremely important for identifying the cause.
Your profile indicates that you are running the latest version of Mountain Lion (Mac OS X 10.8.5), but you have posted in the Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) forum. Which system are you running? (Check by choosing About This Mac from the Apple menu).
I suspect, since you mentioned the App Store in your subject, that you are running Mountain Lion. In that case, it's very unlikely that this is malware. There is currently no known malware capable of infecting that system.

  • Where is app store app forum?

there is a forum for the mac app store but not the ios app store?!
this is for the app store app ...Not the iphoto app but there is no forum for app store app.
reason a write this is because i talked with apple about this several times with no help.
last we talked I adressed them problem with in app purchase option not being showed in app store. I was promised a callback next week but never got that call back.
    The case id is: 700565204

First, supplying a case number does not help in these Communities since we are all fellow users and not Apple employees...Apple is not participating in these discussions.
There is not an iOS-specific app store discussion area, so bringing up the topic in the iOS forum would be appropriate.

  • Where is App store genius in iOS 8?

I switched from an iPod 2G with iOS 4.2.1 to a 5G with iOS 8. I can't find the genius function in the App store any more. Was it removed?

Why is it showing up as an option in settings under Photos & Camera?

  • How can I fix the problem in my iPhone 4s where the app store updates screen is blank?

I have a problem with the apps store updates in my iPhone 4S.  It doesn't display the updates, it's just a blank white screen.  I tried hardstarting my phone a number of times, holding the home button at startup when the apple logo appears until it dissapears but the problem still persists.  Can anyone show me how to resolve this problem?
    Many thanks!

It will be 50 degrees out and it will see its 2 degrees or 3 degrees.
It is perfectly accurate.. it is simply not showing 50 degrees because you have it set to Celcius.
Change it to Farenheit and it will display what you are accustomed to.

  • My iPad2 is showing duplicates of the icons for apps on my home screen (where the app store and other default apps reside)??? How do I get back to normal?

My iPad2 has suddenly begun displaying duplicates of the icons on my home screen all stacked atop one another in the upper left corner.  What can I do to return to normal operation?

    Try this.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

  • Where does iCloud app store downloaded attachments on iOS device?

I am wondering where iCloud app store downloaded attachments? I downloaded a rather large PDF for viewing and would like to get rid of it. Thank you.

    Dahveed
Got it. So the Lion installer will be in my apps folder? the reason I'm asking is because I want to be able to create a bootable DVD so I can do a clean install. I have the instructs per OSX Daily. The instructs were from Apple devs on how to make a bootable DVD as they were doing with the pre-GM's. Thanks!

  • Mail and App Store crashing

    Hi -
After upgrading to 10.6.6 everything was fine for a few days. When we had a blizzard there was a power outage and there were some disk errors so I restored from my time machine to before the blizzard.
After this I got the error where the app store would bounce a few times when clicked but never open up. So I installed the manual update by downloading the dmg. Everything seemed to go smoothly and I restarted...
After I did this the app store "opened", as in I could see the screen, but then promptly crashed before pulling up any information.
Additionally, now Mail.app crashes repeatedly as well. I keep submitting the error report but this is really becoming troublesome.
I have run permissions repair and don't get anything that shouldn't be ignored (java issues, ardagent.app, etc), and verify disk doesn't show anything.
I'm not really sure what else to do. I can no longer restore from a previous time machine because I had to reformat my time machine to get it to back up my "new" install.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

I already did all of that. Mail has stopped crashing constantly but it is crashing every few hours now. The app store still won't open.

  • HT2476 I recently had the hard drive replaced on my Macbook Pro; now the app store icon is missing from my dock

When my hard drive was replaced by Apple, I had to re-install iTunes myself. Then I noticed that there was a question mark on my dock where the App Store Icon was supposed to be. I did a software update, and now the question mark is gone. How do I get the App Store Icon back on my dock?

Locate it in the Apps folder and drag it to the dock.

  • How to Remove App Store, Facetime, etc from the Dock

Apple: I have to admit: I'm dead-tired of this. Every single time an update to the OS comes down I have to spend hours upon hours trying to remove icons I do not want displayed in my dock from my dock. "I know where the App Store is. Making it reappear in my dock upon every removal and reset only serves to annoy me rather than badger me into regular visits."
Last time I had to search the web for answers I accomplished it by editing a plist in the Library folder. I really don't want my dock populated with apps I don't use with extreme frequency. I know how to initiate Mission Control. I don't need it cluttering my dock with every upgrade. Facetime?? I can find that pretty quickly as well. When I remove something from my dock that means I don't want it in my dock again unless I put it there.
    Seriously. It's enough already.
Users: Can any users help us get things out of the dock this time? Thanks.

Thank you for posting the answer ... this has been annoying me for a while, but I never bothered with is as I rarely reboot.
I installed Windows 7 via Bootcamp tongiht so that I can do some gaming with a couple of buddies so now this is going to be a regular annoyance.
    Well, it would have been!
    Thanks again,

  • App Store language - A personal Plea to Apple

Like Millions of people around the world I live in a country where i don't speak the local language fluently. In fact where I live in Spain there are in the region of 1 million ex pats living.
I switched from PC to MAC because the OS has multilanguage support and I could switch my spanish bought iMAC to english rather than have to send off to the UK or US for a copy and do a re-install.
When it comes to the APP Store I cannot get it in any other language than Spanish. As a result I don't buy anything.
For this very reason I didn't get an iPhone but went for an android device where the app store is multilingual
For this very reason I didn't Buy an Ipad.
I've seen lots of threads on here where expats can't access the local store in their own language...
Why not adopt the policy that Amazon has with kindle where you can request to switch the location of your kindle store?
This policy is costing Apple money isn't it time it was changed??

    I absolutely second that.
After the language change of local iTunes stores last year many users have tried and requested to be able to keep the English language. And obviously have been completely ignored.
The same goes for local Apple websites and their online store.
Both are still frequently poorly translated - for me in German (I am not in/from Germany, but the content prominently is...)it is also offensive to be informally addressed as Du and with my first name rather than my last or full name.
That is for a target group 13-19 with no language skills and no foreign descent.
Having the great possibility of that - best of all OS - multilingual MacOS and then being forced to use monolingual interweb-tools is embarrassing.
Regression to the mean is natural, regression to a lowest standard seems unnecessary for a company with the success history of Apple.

  • My App Store won't open with OS X Yosemite 10.10.1, anyone have a solution?

I downloaded the 10.10.1 update without knowing much about it. Ever since then I have not been able to open it or update any of my apps or my computer software. Whenever I attempt to open it, it shows the symbol for the app store and then the rainbow wheels begins to spin. The only possible to get out is to make a new desktop page and force quit the App Store from there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I too have version 10.10.1 and it was installed at the apple store in Providence RI.  I am experiencing the same issue where the app store will not open - any suggestions?

  • App Store is just a blank page

I open the iTunes store, the music store loads fine, so do all the other stores except the app store -- I get a blank screen.  No error code, no pop up, just a blank space where the App Store should be.  If I look up an app in my Firefox browser, I can hit the "view in iTunes link" and see the app in iTunes and even download it.  If I click on the category the app is in (like "Games"), I get a blank screen again.  I'm running Win 7 home premium 64 bit, my DSL is running fine, otherwise (surfing, Spotify, YouTube, Netflix...).
Anyone else having the same problem?  Apple tells me it's not on their end.  Should I reinstall iTunes?

Same here -- started noticing it last night.  At least I know I'm not alone.  Thanks.
Apple support only tells me that they are not aware of any problems and the store is running fine, "...
I have verified that the iTunes Store is functioning and accepting connections, which indicates that the issue is related to your internet connection, local network, or your local computer itself."
    Have you tried contacting support?
