Where is best to make type? Ps or Ai on a business card

I am doing a business card in Ps because I am using a scan or jpeg (of brown distressed paper) as my background. Is it best for me to make all my text vector in Ai, and copy it into Ps as a smart object? Or should I use the text simply from Ps? What is the real difference, when does either make sense, or when is either appropriate?
Alternatively, should I just "place" the jpeg file of my background (textured paper ) in Ai and do the whole card there and use Ai text ? The background in a textured paper brown bag that I have as a jpeg. Not sure what is the best method or workflow - Any experts that can provide detailed steps?

There was a time not so long ago when one way of doing this sort of thing would produce obviously better results than another. Today, the answers to your questions will reflect a practitioner's old lessons, habits, and preferences more than current realities. For example, I'd Place the background in Illustrator. Because I've been Placing the background in Illustrator for many years. Someone else would use InDesign. And contrary to historic truths and beliefs, one can make a crisp, clean business card in Photoshop today... never mind with Illustrator-born Smart Objects, even with Photoshop's native type tool, provided the file is saved to a format that preserves vector data.
So I'm afraid (from my perspective) there is no single right way. That's the blessing and curse of today's exceptionally versatile graphics software. For a single best answer, I suppose you'll have to turn to your client rather than here. His profession suggests he has access to higher authorities who can make more definitive statements....

On the introductory window, also make sure you pick from the top choices under Word Processing - I just use "Blank". If you choose the Blank under the sedon set (page layout), you will have to get a text box. I use that setting if I have a lot of images I want to insert and then have text around/near the images.

When you're done with that page, it should automatically move to the next one or you can choose another blank page in the pulldown in the toolbar.

I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

I have restarted my computer, but the information remains the same. How do I reclaim the use of the 300GB? Why is it showing up as "Backups" when it used to indicate "Photos"? Are my photos safe on the external drive?
You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.

I was wondering if anyone knows a way to find where 2 best fit lines cross, I don't have the equation for the lines and i'm not sure if I can get it.
I currently have the program tracing the lines and comparing y values however it will only increment in steps of 0.1 on the x-axis and i need an accuraccy of 0.0001

If you have or can get a series of XY value pairs for both of the lines, getting the equation of the line is as simple as calling Linear Fit.vi. Once you have the equations of both lines, the intersection is simple algebra, subject to the accuracy of your fit. If the XY data pairs describe a curve, not a line, and you want more accuracy, you can try a polynomial fit using General Polynomial Fit.vi. To find the intersection, set one polynomial equation equal to the other, compute the coefficients of the resulting polynomial equation, and find the root using Polynomial Roots.vi. All this assumes you have a Pro or better version of LabVIEW. If you don't, you can still do it, but you will need to write some code for the fits and roots. Check out a copy of Numerical Recipes in C, by Press et. al. from your local library and it will give you the equations for all the above. With LabVIEW's native matrix handling capabilities, the rest is straighforward.

If you have defined activity types then you can define them with the right price in KP27 for each costcenter.
the costcenter is connected with the personelnumber.. in infotype 315 you can define which is the default activitytype for each person.
if you have only 1 activitytype you can also programm the user exit to fill it in by default
see EXIT_SAPLCATS_002 to implement a fixed activitytype for whole cats

SPRO>S&D>BASIC FUNCTION>PARTNER DETERMINATION..
Their u can select area where u want to define them.
Only clicking after one of the options u will se partner function on the left side of ur screen, double click on it.
There u will see all the partner functions...here u can create new partner function or use the available one..

Just downloaded several SFX and beds from ADOBE, where to place all these files so they'll be available for use in Audition? Is there a path on my MAC PRO latest OS that this folder should reside to be read by Audition?

Apple has to replace the newer internal batteries usually, so if your machine is more recent you'll have to go to them, also to stay under the warranty/AppleCare.

Why is screen blank when click "new tab", where is the window to type in url address

I cannot see the URL address of page I am on if I want to cut/paste and keep it, also I have to keep opening another mozilla firefox over and over as the newtab feature shows a blank page each time. Where is the area to type in URL address? How come I cannot have a series of pages open typing a new address on each page like I used to?

I found my own answer. If this happens, go to "view", "toolbars," and put a check next to "navigation toolbar."

what is the best way to make business cards. is have iwork. the business card templet doesn't seem to copy after you create the first card. it wants each card on the temp. page to be filled in.

You can buy a set of backup disks from Adobe for a nominal fee. You might want to give them a call and ask about it.
Otherwise, just back it all up to an external drive.
