Where is current version of my site??

When I launch Muse, by default the Create New/Open a Recent Site window appears. I normally choose my site from Open a Recent Site. However, since a lot of recent sites were listed, including ones that really weren't recent and no longer used, last time I worked on a site, I Cleared Recent from the File menu. Ok, so now I opened Muse, and the first thing that happens is, I have to login to verify my account. This has never happened before. My subscription is paid up. So I logged in and the Create New/Open a Recent Site window appears, ok. There is no recent sites listed, so I go to the site folder and double click the gmpp.muse file, the site name for my website. Before it opens, a dialog appears:
It was alarming to see this. I clicked OK and when my site opens, it is a much earlier version. Why would this happen? I went to my backups and opened the backup site file from yesterday's backup and one from 10 days ago (both still the latest versions I had created), but they were the same exact earlier version with the same assets dialog.
The site folder has all the current .html pages, but they're not showing in the Plan view (see image below and note how different it is from the current website plan), just earlier versions of some pages and earlier/half built Master pages, and some pages that are not even built.
The browser website is fine, since I haven't uploaded anything since the last update, before this bizarre situation happened.
Another site I created is fully intact.
What should I do? Should I ftp the contents of the current site folder? Like I said, all the current .html pages are there, but why is the gmpp.muse file the earlier version and what will that do when uploading??
Please help resolve this issue. Thanks!

I found the correct gmpp.html file! It is the current version.
For some reason, it was not in the site folder with all the .html pages, css folder, images folder, scripts folder, etc. It was in a folder titled gmpp2 where I store all the images I've created. I must have saved it into that folder when I originally built the site. It wasn't a problem until I did Clear Recent, and so instead of opening that file from the Muse launch window, I went to one in the site folder that was last worked on in early Sept.
I'm sorry for this confusion...hopefully it will help someone else that encounters this issue.
Thanks for your help!

  • WRT300n V1.0 - where is current firmware on web site??

I have a WRT300n V1 (not V1.1), and the support/download section dropdown for the WRT300n only lists V1.1 and V2 (no V1.0 or V1).  The release notes for the V1.1 download caution this is for V1.1 HW *only*, and Wikipedia entry for V1.0 HW says the HW is truly different (different broadcom chipset, etc.)
Can anybody tell me where the V1 (V1.0) firmware is located?  Don't want to turn my router into a brick...
    Thanks!

  • Current version of site missing

I have been using iweb for my website. Usually I just open it and the most current version of the site opens up. But all of a sudden, it is only opening a very old version of the site, and the current version is nowhere to be seen. It is not listed on the index
When I opened the domain through the library, it also opened the old version.
    Where is my current version??
    Thanks,
    Diana.

Download and use  Find Any File to search for "domain.sites". FAF can search areas that Spotlight can't, even invisible folders. If there's a second domain file on your hard drive FAF will find it.

  • HT6195 Safari cache will not clear......cannot get to current version of website.

I design our company website.  It was recently moved from Hostgator to Flywheel and I am unable to open a current version of the site or make changes via the admin page on Word Press and have it go live.  I have tried to clear the cache, but it will not clear.  Also, this is happening on my iPad 2 and my husbands MacBook Pro.  I cannot un-install safari because Maverick's won't let me.  I AM able to make changes and see the current live version on the Dell PC laptop I have.  Any ideas???

If it only happened in one location, that would work.....it occurs when mobile, at work, at home, everywhere.  Thanks for the thought though.

I get the same error messages re downloading error. I successfully downloaded the current version of Adobe DNG Converter & it installed perfectly. Help please!

The Adobe auto updater is highly unreliable.
You need to look for and download the update yourself and then manually apply it as per the detailed instructions on the download page:

It's actually even easier than using Save As to see the full path to the currently open document. Just do a "Secondary click" on the document title in its window's title bar.
Like you, I relied upon Save As my whole life to check a file's location and considered it a must-have capability. Turns out it's even faster to use the single-click method to reveal the full path to the open document. It displays the entire path to the current document starting from the level of your Mac, and works for files stored on drives as well as iCloud.
If you're not sure how to do a secondary click, go into System Preferences, select Trackpad, Point & Click to find the current preference for secondary click on your Mac. If you happen to have a mouse with more than one button, it's probably the right button. As a trackpad user, I check the box to "Click or tap with two fingers," so a simple two finger tap on the title of an open document reveals its full path. This feature actually has been around for a very long time.
Note that this is not the same thing as the Autosave and Versions menu, which is exposed using a little drop down triangle to the right of the title. There is no visual clue for the presence of this feature - you just have to know it's there, probably because this feature goes all the way back to pre-OS X days.

  • I have updated to Firefox 8.01, and confirmed that this is the current version. However, both Google and Firefox do not recognize my current verision -- these sites indicate my version is 3.5.7. Why?

I have updated (more than once) to Firefox Version 8.01. When I check Firefox Help:About, it confirms the version number and indicates that this is the current version. On Google, however, when I try to use G-Mail or +Google, gives me a message that my version of Firefox is no longer supported (and provides a link to download the current version). Additionally, Firefox itself, when I tried to use the Help:Submit Feedback menu option, indicates that I cannot use that option until I have first upgraded to the current version. Apparently, although I have upgraded, there is some marker or indicator that has not been updated from a previous version to indicate to websites which version of this browser is running on my machine. I would like to get this resolved, as it is keeping me from doing a few things I would like to do. By the way, I just looked at the dialog box below, following the comment "we've made some educated guesses about your current browser ..." it, too, indicates that my current version is 3.5.7.

  • I am running OSX 10.6.8 and currently have Keynote version 4.0.4  What is the most current version of Keynote that I can run, and where do I find it?

I have a friend who had sent me a document made in a more current version and thus I can't open the file.  I am hoping to find a newer version without changing the OS  that will allow me to view the document.  Is that possible?

It's probably easiest to ask your friend to save it in a format which Keynote 4.0.4 will open. It's possible to run Keynote 5 on Mac OS X 10.6.8, but it requires buying an iWork 09 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay.

  • HT1751 I can't find File-Library-Organize on the current version of ITunes.  Where is it?

I switched to a different User on Windows 7 and lost most of my Itunes music.  I found an option for Itunes to find the lost music.  This seemed to work great.  All my playlists came back.  However, today I learned that it kept all the found music in the other library on a different drive.  So, I want to merge this other library into my main one.  All the online methods use an option under "File" which does not seem to exist any more.
I have checked the option to consolidate my music but it did not work for the "find lost music" process.
Can anyone help with the current version of Itunes?  Or, like the backup, has Apple removed another essential ability?

In iTunes 11, the File menu is on the Menu Bar.  If you don't see the Menu Bar, enable it by using the shortcut CTRL+B.

  • Spent some time trying to find a Safari download site with no success.  Where is the iMac Safari download site?

Spent some time trying to find a Safari download site with no success.  I found lots of Safari sites but no Safari download site.  Where is the iMac Safari download site?

(The following does not apply to users of Lion OS 10.7 or later)
If your Safari keeps crashing, or if you are updating Safari (or just have) and it is misbehaving:
N.B. Never delete Safari, never run it under Rosetta, don't use proxy settings, and don't change the application's name or move it from the top level of the Applications Folder to a sub-folder.
(If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall. Alternatively you can download Safari directly:
Safari 4.1.3 for Tiger can be downloaded here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1069
Safari 5.0.6 for Leopard can be downloaded from here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1422
Safari 5.1 for Snow Leopard can be downloaded from here:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1070
Make sure you download the correct version for your system.
Also, observe the recommended procedure for installing software: repair permissions and close all applications, install, then repair permissions again.)
Input Managers and other plug-ins from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up.  If Safari is crashing, the very first thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari. Remember: Tiger up to 10.4.10 used Safari 2.0.4, Tiger 10.4.11 uses Safari 4.1.3, Leopard uses Safari 5.0.6,  and Snow Leopard uses Safari 5.1.x. If these latest versions of Safari are not the fastest browser you have ever used, then something is wrong!
(Trying to revert to a previous version of Safari  can have repercussions, as previous versions of Safari used a completely different webkit on which other applications like iChat, Mail, Dashboard Widgets etc also rely, but if you really want to do this post back for instructions on the safe way to do so.)
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party ad-on. Add-ons that have been frequently mentioned here, among others, for causing such problems are Piclens, Saft, AcidSearch and Pithhelmet, and the dreaded CT Toolbar. If you have them, trash them, and go the developer's sites to see if new versions are available for the latest version of Safari on your current operating system.
You must also ensure that you have downloaded and installed all the correct version for your Mac of Security Updates. These require a restart and a permission repair.
To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for  problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
    Hard Disk/Library/InputManagers
    Home/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates and updates to Safari (they can always be added back one-by-one later).
Lastly, the Safari updates require a restart of your Mac, and sometimes even a double restart is required.

  • How do I manuallly download the latest version of Firefox on top of my current version?

I have an iMac version 10.7.5. I'm currently running Firefox Version 14 and I keep getting prompts to allow automatic updating (currently to version 17). However, when the prompt says "connecting to the update server," it never connects. So my questions are:
a.) Is there a way to correct this problem so that I can automatically update?
b.) If not, how do I update manually (I've found the Mozilla site's explanations incomplete/confusing.) Can I just download the latest version and it'll configure to what I already have, or do I need to delete my current version and reinstall completely? And what will happen to my settings (e.g. bookmarks) if I update on top of my current version, or update by completely replacing the current version?

If there are problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the disk image (dmg) file to the desktop
    *Firefox 17.0.1: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
*Trash the current Firefox application (e.g. open the Applications folder in the Finder and drag the Firefox application to the Trash) to do a clean (re-)install
*Install the new version that you have downloaded
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Installing+Firefox+on+Mac
Your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data if you uninstall and (re)install Firefox.

  • How can I update a Numbers '08 document to work with the current version?

I've had Numbers '08 for quite awhile (obviously). Have a few spreadsheets in it that I tried as an alternative to Excel. I've now got the most current version of Numbers but it won't open the spreadsheets created in the '08 version. I get an error message telling me to save them with Numbers '09, which I do not have.
Is there any way to get these updated to work with the current version? If so, that would be great, would like to try it out. If not, I'm just going to copy this stuff into Excel and be done with Numbers entirely.

This is a work-around - but also send feedback to apple that that is pretty low in the 21st century where people may keep data without opening it for a very long time - then need it desperately.
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/>Apple - Feedback
Export the spreadsheets to another format - CSV may work - then import into the new version.
Also you could try export to excel format and import.

On imac 10.6.8 using current version of Aperture.  How can I access the Aperture Library  on my external hard drive that I use with time machine for backup?  I can only access the application but not the library..

Go into Time Machine (the program not the bundle on the extrnal disk) and using Time Machine's browser go to the Folder where the library lives. You could look in the library bundle in Time Machine but that won't really tell you much,
If you want to make sure it truely has backed up your library you will need to restore it and open the restored library with Aperture.
If all this still has you confused you need to read up on Time Machine in order to get a feel for how it works, for what it is doing and for how to restore files from it.
