Where is deployment wizard in JDeveloper 2.0

Version: JDeveloper 2.0 Build 343
Synopsis:
Try to run sample acmevideo web application,
at the stage of deploying EJB to Web Server, cannot find Deployment wizard, the Wizard menu item has nothing under it, cannot find
deploy entry from righ-clicking on Project name either

Unfortunately I am not in a position to give you the exact details on JDeveloper 2.0 wizards as I do not have ready access to version 2.0 but if you got the 2.0 CD recently then I'll be happy to get this error rectified.
Please send me a note and I'll arrange for the latest CD to be sent to you.

For the production version we will actually be changing this
(once more). In the future you will find deploy as a menu option
    in the projects menu.

  • Deployment Wizard in JDeveloper 2.0

    Hi,
I had some questions about the Deployment Wizard. I have created
a simple Java Bean and i wanted to place it on an applet
container. I know how to do it in version 1.1. These are the
    steps that i follow there:
    1. Make the Bean
    2. Go to Wizards/Deployment Wizard and make a .jar file
    3. Then open up the applet
    4. Go to Tools/Configure Palette
    5. Click on the Add from Archive Tab and add the jar file
    6. Click on Install and then OK
    7. Simply drag the bean component from the AWT toolbar onto the
    applet
Now how do i do this in 2.0? In the Wizards dropdown menu, i
cannot find a Deployment Wizard choice so i cannot make the .jar
file. Can you help me please?

    Gautam,
When you choose File new in your project, you'll have the option
t do `Simple archive' and that should generate your .jar file
and then from there it should be the same

  • When deploy: Wizard error a connection to the deployment share could not be made "check physical connection"

    Hello everybody,
yet another issue with deploying a masterdisk. I will give you a short explanation of the situation.
I need to deploy Windows 8.1 PRO x86.
Using: Microsoft Deployment Workbench Microsoft Version: 6.2.5019.0
    1. Reference PC: Windows 8.1 PRO x86 is installed on ORACLE Virtual Box.
    2.  I installed  MDT on my workstation Windows 7 x64, where "C:\DeploymentShare\Windows8" is located.
    3. To change the Unattended.xml file, I have second ORACLE Virtual Box with
Windows 8.1 PRO x86 with MDT, which connected to the DeploymentShare of Windows 7 x64.
     - The reason is because the Reference PC is x86 and the Unattended.xml file can be changed only if MDT is installed on x86 Windows, otherwise it is not possible.
    The image capture is successful.
Then I create bootable USB device using rufus-1.4.12.exe. I use: C:\DeploymentShare\Windows8\Boot\LiteTouchPE_x86.iso
I use a real PC (not virtual machine) and when the deployment starts
    I see:
1 Welcome screen, where I select: Run the deployment wizard to  install a new operating system.
    2. The next screen is an error screen where I see the error:
    "Wizard error
A connection to the deployment share (\\ComputerName\C\DeployemntShare )could not be made
DHCP Lease was not obtained for any Networking devices!
    Possible cause: Check physical connection
I am relatively new with MDT.
Any suggestions are more than welcome.

    Nick,
    Thank you for the answer!
Yesterday, I figured out that I need to create an offline bootable disk.
The issue is caused, because creating a bootable disk with rufus.exe include only the ISO file and not the WIM file. That is the reason why during OS installation process it asks me for the shared folder...

  • Issue when trying to deploy Monitoring Server Reports on Deployment Wizard

    Hi all.
I have to install the Monitoring Server Role on a server that already has the Lync Server 2010 up and running.
I'm new to Lync Server so my experience with the product is limited, so I need some help with an issue.
I followed the Deployment Guide and for now I managed to do the following:
    - Installed an SQL Server 2008 Standard with SP1 with SSRS also;
    - Updated the Topology to include a Monitoring Server, and also published the new topology;
    - Installed the new components of the monitoring server.
I can also refer that the SQL Server Instances and Lync Server Front-End are in the same server h where I'm installing the monitoring server, and there is only one Front End Pool.
As far as I can tell everything was successfully done, and I couldn't find any errors until now.
And finally the issue appeared when I wanted to deploy the Monitoring Server Reports to the Reporting Services Server.
In the deployment Wizard of the Lync Server 2010 the link for that option is disabled, no further information is given.
I tried to find on the ISO and .exe or .msi files that could deploy the reports, but could not find any.
I believe it isn't a problem of permissions of the user because i followed the documentation.
I hope someone can help me find the problem, and if possible a solution for it.
    Best regards.

    Hi,
From your description above, it is a Lync Server 2010 Enterprise Edition and you deploy Monitoring Server in the same Server with FE Server.
If it is the case, you may meet unknown issues as you must deploy Monitoring Server on a separate Server. You can only collocate Monitoring Server with Archiving Server.
Please try to delete the Monitoring Server configuration in Lync Topology and then republish topology, and rerun Step 2. After these, please deploy Monitoring Server with a Separate Server and test if the issue happen again.

  • Workflow Deployment Wizard - in OWB

I am working with Oracle Warehouse Builder, and I can generate all my project and I can also register my jobs in OEM by OWB.
Now I'm trying to run the "Workflow Deployment Wizard", in order to schedue my jobs into Workflow.
I need to do that, and I've already installed the "Oracle Workflow Server" in the same machine where the Oracle9iAS is located (SUN).
The infrastructure database is located in another SUN machine.
In order to install Oracle Workflow Server in Oracle9iAS, I followed the instructions to install InterConnect, that has embeded the Workflow.
In the workflow login, I connect with the user "owf_mgr" and I follow
clicking next untill the end. In the last window, "Finish", I keep selected the box "Do you want to deploy Workflow Process into Oracle Enterprise Manager?" and click "Finish".
So, only the first 3 jobs are created into OEM, the "Item Type". Afther that, the following error message appears:
WKF0012: Oracle Enterprise Manager job registration failed:
WKF0013: Oracle Enterprise Manager job registration failed.
Verify that the Oracle Management Server is running and that the
Oracle Enterprise Manager Directory parameter in the warehouse module is configured correctly.
Does anyone have any idea of what's happening here? I'd very glad if you could help me.
    Thanks in advance
    P.S.:
    - My OEM is installed on a SUN machine and its version is 9.2.0.1.0.
    - I have another SUN machine with Oracle9iAS. My Oracle Workflow Server is installed in a SUN Machine, together with Oracle9iAS (Application Server)
    - I have a thirth SUN machine, with Oracle Infrastructure.

  • JDev 3.2 Deployment wizard failed to show public static methods in step #3.

JDeveloper 3.2 and 3.1 Deployment Wizard ( step #3) does not show any public static methods being deployed as Java stored procedures. The "settings" button is disabled.
Is this a demo version of the tool ?

It's probably easier to add them all and remove the ones you don't want. Admittedly this is a bit cumbersome, because the 3.2 navigator doesn't allow multiple selection..

  • Deployment Wizard ignores package tree

    Hi,
I've just started using JDev 3.0 and I've noticed some strange behaviour of the new deployment wizard.
If I specify a package tree to include, but NOT a library or an archive, the package tree is ignored.
I can only get the wizard to pay attention to my package tree if I specify something in the libraries tab and the archive tab.
    Is this working as designed?
Has this changed in JDev 3.1??
    Thanks,
    Lachlan

    Hi,
The behavior you are observing is as designed. The Advanced dialog in the deployment wizard is used to configure the dependency analyzer that runs when you are deploying your profile. In general, more specific settings override less specific settings. However, this rule can only be applied to classes that are on the dependency analyzer's classpath. The dependency analyzer's classpath is set through the Libraries and Archives panels,
and the settings on the remaining panels (Package Trees, Single Packages, and Classes) are applied as customizations to the classpath.
Because of this arrangement, specifying "included package trees" doesn't do anything, whether or not you have included any Libraries or Archives. What it is useful for is to override a less specific "excluded package trees" setting. So if you have excluded the package tree "javax" but you include the package tree "javax.accessibility", then only classes within the "javax.accessibility" tree will be included; all other classes in the "javax" tree are excluded. Of course, you would need the Swing classes to be on the dependency analyzer's classpath to begin with for this to apply.
Thus, if you try to include a package tree that isn't on the dependency analyzer's classpath, that package tree won't be included because it was not found. An error message is not printed because not finding a class during dependency analysis is interpreted to mean that the class was excluded; if there really was an error that would cause your class not to run, you should have gotten an error during compilation.

  • Deployment Wizard Not Allowing Certificate Update

    Hey, everyone!
I needed to add new SANs to our Lync Server SSL (ucupdate-r2 subdomain for Polycom CX700 with old firmware). I logged into our GoDaddy account and I requested the new SAN. I validated it through email and then downloaded the CRT file.
I then launched the Deployment Wizard and chose to rerun the "Request, Install or Assign Certificates." In Certificate Wizard, I select Import Certificate and select the new GoDaddy SSL. It imports just fine. Next, I select the Default Certificate
and then Assign. The new SSL doesn't appear in the list of available certs, though.
I don't know if the server is just confused since they're technically the same cert but with a couple extra SANs.
So I launched MMC and went looking for the newer version of the cert. It wasn't there, so I imported it into Personal > Certificates, which is where the previous certificate is located. It imported fine, except the new one doesn't have indicate that a
"private key corresponds to this certificate."
I still relaunched the Certificate Wizard from the Deployment Wizard, but the cert is again now listed.
I'm not sure what to try now.
    Could someone please help?
    Thanks!
    -Eric

    Hi,
    Check if
you have the proper Certificate Chain for GoDaddy specially the intermediate
    CA.
    Last week
I renewed a GoDaddy cert and the intermediate CA changed.

  • Custom Destination Wizard in JDeveloper

    Hi,
I see that the Reports Destination Wizard was not present on JDeveloper if it is not shipped with iDS... Right ?
Is it possible to add this wizard in JDeveloper 10.1.3 (downloaded from Technet) ???

    Hi all,
I also had the same problem but when I deployed the process the function worked correctly(after adding the class to BPEL classes and adding the xpath function to the xml file).

  • What are the requirements to deploy Portlets from Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2

    Hi all,
I'm new in version Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2
plz which version of Application Server (infrastructure and middle-tier)
or web-center are required to deploy portlet from jdeveloper 10.1.3.2
can you send me links about these requirments
    thanks

I had already applied all of this before trying to deploy.
The error seems to be a versioning error in the jsf-impl.jar file as the ApplicationAssociate class is found there. I have changed the JDK and J2EE to 1.4.2 and 1.3 respectively, rebuilt everything, updated all the settings to the right versions for 10.1.2 but it still keeps failing on the deploy.

  • Deployment error in JDeveloper 11.1.1.4 when deploying 11.1.1.3 application

We have built a bpm application using JDeveloper 11.1.1.3. Now we have upgraded the server to new version 11gR3 and have also upgraded our jdeveloper to 11.1.1.4.
We have opened in Jdeveloper(11.1.1.4) the exisitng bpm application developed in older version (11.1.1.3) and when trying to deploy the application to the 11gR3 server getting the following deployment error in jdeveloper:

This deployment error is happening only when the UI project is deployed along with the composite. When I open the Project Properties --> Library, I notice that a Library "ALE Component" is displayed in exclamation. Even after removing this library I am getting the same deployment error. Will be grateful if any help is suggested to this issue.

Yes, you need to update the library reference apparently. (I just started again.)
Try adding the following library ref to your weblogic.xml of UI project
    <library-ref> <library-name>oracle.soa.worklist.webapp</library-name> <specification-version>11.1.1</specification-version> </library-ref>

  • SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services Deployment Wizard broken after SP1

I have installed SQL Server 2012 SP1, now I cannot edit Data Source Connection Strings anymore in the Deployment Wizard.

I managed to fix it by modifying the Workaround from Microsoft a bit.

Instead of redirecting from version 8 and 9 to 10, i reverted it and made sure it uses version 8.
