Where is flickr sync?

iphoto allowed us to view flickr and facebook albums from the cloud and edit them as if they were natively stored.
I have 1000's of pictures on flicker, all of which were organized in iphoto.
After the update... poof... gone! What I'm left with is random **** from icloud and a useless "photos" app that appears to be nothing more than a port of the photo viewer on my iphone. To make matters worse iphoto no longer functions. I can't imagine it really doesn't work, its more a case of apple forcing me to use their new inferior garbage.
I have a simple request. Stop the endless stupidity. One port macbook anyone? I predict a proprietary headphone connector on the next iphone, gotta keep the stupidly thin thing going. Now Less functionality from applications. The final cut pro X debacle wasn't enough of a wake up call?

Get it done!

Check to make sure that you have added Flickr in your Internet Accounts (System Preferences > Internet Accounts). After doing so you should see Flickr appear in the Share menu in Photos.

Aperture 3/Flickr Sync - Non Responsive?

A week ago I tried using the Flickr sync tool in the Aperture 3. I had an issue where it deleted half of one of my sets when I tried to move things over on flickr so I could access it in Aperture. I removed the permissions in flickr and deleted the flickr album in my library and figured I'd find another option.
Now, when I click the flickr button or do share/flickr, nothing happens. Facebook, mobile me, and email work but not flickr. I've uninstalled and reinstalled with no change. I've tried a number of different photos with different formats and differently formatted file names.
Is it possible that this is just a flickr permissions issue?

These are your options:
1. Restore the iPhoto library from the most recent backup that predates the issue.
          Advantages: Always works, if library damage is causing the problem and the backup is intact.
          Disadvantages: Impossible if you don't have a backup. All changes made since the backup are lost.
2. Repair or rebuild the library. Be sure to back it up first.
          Advantages: May solve the problem with no loss of data.
          Disadvantages: May fail. May take a long time if the library is large.
3. Scavenge the library with a third-party application called "iPhoto Library Manager," which you can find in a web search. From the application's menu bar (not the iPhoto menu bar), select Library ▹ Rebuild.
          Advantages: All images should be preserved.
          Disadvantages: All books, calendars, and slideshows will be lost.

Where is color sync located (not color utility) which is required to download icc profiles? Dolores

Where is color sync located (not color utility)? I am downloading an icc profile from Ilford paper and the instructions say to first download into downloads, then move to Library. This I did. But I cannot find Color Sync to move the profile into. When I did the "search" the list that turned up was not applicable. After that it needs to go to Profiles inorder that Lightroom 4 paper profiles list can receive it and be able to print according to the profile. How will I find Profiles?Thanks, Dolores P.S. Where does Missing Sync store the call list? Or, for that matter,
the contacts list and other stuff on OS X? What format is it in?

If you have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar. Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar and Control+B to show the Menu bar
To sync to your iPod go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Sync your iPod....>Sync You Device>Set up Syncing and follow the instructions.

Changing the Gmail address where existing contacts sync

My Blackberry has inadvertently decided to sync all of my personal contacts to a work Gmail address. My actual device won't let me change the syncing address directly on the contact edit page. Is there a way to change the Gmail address where these contacts sync without having to re-enter all of my contacts?

The contact sync will only sync to the gmail address that it is integrated. If you add another gmail address, then you can sync to that other address.

Aperture 3 Flickr Sync is broken?

Been running into consistent problems with Aperture 3's Flickr sync. Random images in sets aren't uploaded, and resynchronizing with Flickr doesn't correct the problem. Also, some images don't upload according to the settings specified - for example, setting the export to use original resolution sometimes only uploads 1024 pixels wide when the original is much larger.
Anyone else running into these problems?
I like that they incorporated this, but it's so unreliable I've resumed using 1001 to handle my Flickr uploads.

Via Creative Cloud.
One caveat: If you want to work with PS Touch's native file format (which is PSDX), you'll have to have Photoshop CC (or CS) and the PSDX plug-in.
Another option would be to export any projects as the PSD file format and open those in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. If you import these back into PS Touch, note that PSD files will be automatically flattened.

Seems Apple is making things more difficult with every OS update. Back in the day you used to be able to organize your applications instead of having them all in one folder. You used to have a lot more freedom. More and more it is just easier to use a third party app. So I'm gonna install Thunderbird until Apple comes up with an easy way to fix the mail app. it seems that eveything in help says you just gotta reinstall the system from scratch. I would rather just use an open source product that I can put into any forlder I want without having to worry about it screwing itself up. Had similar experience with Safari now it seems like it is time to get rid of Mail.

I read your entire message, and my mom's iPhone 5 does this exact same thing. When the idiot at the AT&T store transferred her data (well, most of it) to her new phone, he DID NOT use her latest iCloud backup like he should have, but used some features in "Bump" to move things across. So, in my opinion, it's not worth the hassle of restoring it as a new device as Tim suggests. That's just the easy answer. Here's something odd about hers. It seems to do this, when she's using her bluetooth earpiece (a Jawbone Icon), but not when she's got bluetooth disabled on the iPhone 5 and holding down the "Home" button to activate Siri. If she uses her Jawbone bluetooth earpiece to activate Siri, the answer that Siri presents on the phone's screen will only stay on for about five seconds, then dim, then go blank -- and she has to "swipe to unlock" and, of course, the Siri information is gone. Not so if she uses the Home key to activate Siri.

Aperture 3 and Flickr sync problems

Hi!
I started using Aperture 3 recently and made the mistake of authorizing Aperture to sync with Flickr. I hate it! Now I want to deauthorize it somehow but don't know where or how? I've read horror stories that all of my Flickr photos will be deleted from Flickr if I deauthorize, but none of my Flickr photos were uploaded from Aperture, they were already in Flickr and were automatically synced to Aperture once I authorized it. Now that I realize I've made a mistake I want to get out, but how?

I have been using the sync feature between my Aperture library and Facebook and Flickr for 6 months and I finally gave up on it yesterday.
As an example of what I usually go through, I uploaded 159 photos to my flickr account this past weekend, then added some captions/descriptions/tags etc. on flickr (was that a mistake?). Then Aperture promptly undid some my work at the next synchonization... I don't want photos on my stream named DSC_6788.jpg, etc. Thing is, Aperture undoes some of what I do on Flickr but not all. There's no rhyme, reason, or pattern to it. If I use Aperture to add tags (by entering keywords in the right field), even those partially disappear after the next sync.
Another maddening thing is that it makes the filename the caption on Facebook albums. I/e/. if, on Facebook, I added a desctiptive caption on a picture such as "Mommy and Daddy making out under the Eiffel Tower" (totally a made up example), then next time a synch happens, the caption would be "DSC_8646.jpg." Gee, thanks for the help, Aperture.
For 6 months I have lived in fear of opening up Aperture. Will the sync mess up what I've published online?
There should be option to not have Aperture override what you do on flickr (and Facebook). I am a strong believer in the "Publish and Forget" model for places like Flickr and Facebook, not the sync model.
For now, it's back to export to a folder and upload via the uploader.

Multiple iPhoto Libraries - FB & Flickr syncing

If I create mutliple iPhoto libraries (because my current library is getting big), using iPhoto Library Manager, will photos synced to Facebook and Flickr be maintained or be deleted if they're not in the "open" library? In other words, how does having multiple libraries effect syncing to FB and Flickr?

Correct.
6,500 is not a lot of photos. You can run a Library from an external disk formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled). Multiple libraries are inconvenient, especially for tiny amounts of photos.
