Where is java folder

I have been trying to get my Android phone to link up with my Mac and keep getting the error:""jcifs.smb.exception:Failed to connect: (the address)  jcifs.util.transport. TransportException java.io.OIException: Invalid payload size 254"
The solution to this is said to be to set the value of 'jcifs.smb.client.useExtendedSecurity' to 'false'. This is great news but I  don't know where to find this property/line to make the change!
Please, what file and in what folder need I to look?
TIA

Thank you.  It doesn't seem to hold the location info I am seeking.  Just my cache and a string of tickboxes, etc.  All I want is the path to the java config files that will enable me to change this property.

  • Java folding preferences are not saved

    Hello all,
I have recently installed the latest version (11.1.1.2.0) of Oracle Jdeveloper and it seems that I'm not able to save my preferences for java folding. Every time I restart jdev, the default preferences seem to be restored. This doesn't seem to happen for other preferences like code templates.
Any ideas? Where are these preferences saved? Is there any file I could verify?
    Thanks.
    wf
P.S. I've also noticed that some of my old preferences were not migrated (e.g. code templates) but maybe this is for another topic.

    Sorry on the typo, yes.
Maybe you can try deleting your system directory (OK, don't delete it, just rename it so you can restore after testing), don't migrate prefs and see if the problem reproduces. If it doesn't reproduce, then you'd have a perfect test case to show that migrating prefs breaks something.

  • Where are java classes stored?

Does anyone where the java classes are physically stored?
Is there any mechanism for getting them out?
    null

    Thanks, Irian,
in the meantime I have found another solution. For Windows it works using environment variable IDE_USER_DIR.
Create a new directory for the runtime files, e.g. C:\sqldevtemp
Add environment variable IDE_USER_DIR with the value of "C:\sqldevtemp".
Close SQL Developer, move (or copy if you want) all files from the old folder to the new folder and start SQL Developer again.
    Done.

  • Java folder on macbook pro

    Hi!
Please help me as to where to find the actual Java folder. I need to add some files to its security folder and I know it is installed on my system when I did a version check using my terminal but I am unable to find out the actual physical location of the folder, as in for example I need this location:
    Java/JavaVirtualMachines/1.6.0.jdk/Contents/Home/lib/security.
    Thanks

If that is the exact path you need I would try using the Go > Go To Folder menu from the Finder. You should get the below dialog box and be able to enter the path you have indicated above.

    Telnet <host name> 5xx08
    enter userid and password

  • THE Bridge CC Extensions, so where is this folder to be found on a Windows 7 64?

Maybe I'm the ******* but each time lately it is something else, something new with CC, things are taken out put in another place, things are completely taken out, later added again by special downloads and you have to go and search for the right files to copy and paste files and so on and on and on.... I already lost several hours by each time researching the needed info, files, patches before I actually can do something!
Now I needed to make for school  an assignment, a contact-sheet that we needed to export import Bridge-Photoshop to create a video-wall. In school we're on the CS6 where contactsheets and PDF, creating in Bridge no problem, now at home running on the CC i'm kinda fu...d, after some research i find following message,
for now I'm afraid you have to keep your Bridge CS6 on your computer and use it for generating contact sheets (on my Mac I have to close Bridge CC before I can use Bridge CS6).
    - bad news: The Bridge CC online help says that in the current version the Adobe Output Module isn't available anymore and so it doesn't support generating contact sheets: "The functionality to create contact sheets, PDFs, and web galleries is available in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom, which are included in your Creative Cloud subscription." Generating contact sheets from within Photoshop is a mess. It's not as comfortable like in Bridge CS5/6, results are not predictable and the time it takes is not acceptable. Using a still fast Mac Pro with 2 x 3 GB quad cores took more than one and a half hour to create contact sheets out of o folder with 140 files – Bridge did that in minutes. Let's hope for Adobe developers working on Bridge CC to make things easy!
After doin some further research i find this:
    Install the Adobe Output Module
When Bridge CC shipped, it didn't include the Adobe Output Module, which allows you to create PDF presentations and web galleries. Adobe Output Module is now available for Bridge CC.
Make sure that you have the most recent version of Bridge CC installed. To check for updates, choose Help > Updates in Bridge. Follow the instructions to install any updates.
Download the appropriate file below by right-clicking (Windows) or Ctrl+clicking (Mac OS) and choosing to save the file. Save the file in a location you can remember, such as your Desktop.
So far no problem, following the instructions hoping my problem was solved,
Copy the Adobe Output Module folder (not the AOM_Package_[OS] folder) into the Bridge CC Extensions folder in the appropriate location:
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CC Extensions
What do you think? Of course everything to be found in my file paths except of course the file i needed, THE Bridge CC Extensions, so where is this folder to be found on a Windows 7 64?
Added to make things clear a print screen of C:drive path....
So any idea how to resolve this problem would be very much appreciated. Cheers

    Hi Ronald,
Sorry for the kinda late reply, busy days these days, lol but indeed somewhere i went wrong in the path. Went in search for the one you gave, progs-COMMON-Adobe and indeed correct. Thanks for the reply as the helping hand, cheers.

Firefox doesn't store the bookmarks as separate files in a folder, but uses a sqlite database file with the name places.sqlite.
You will have to export those favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in Firefox.
Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML : "From File"
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Backing_up_and_restoring_bookmarks_-_Firefox

When splitting a document, in output options you can select the target folder to be "the same folder selected at start", but where is that folder?  I assumed it would be the original location of the source file but in my test the split files are not there just the source file.

Have you checked My Documents? You might close Acrobat and reopen, then see what folder comes up when you select File>Open.

  • ADF Essentials RCU DB Type :   Where is " Java DB " ?

    I want ADF Essentials.

    I downloaded "Application Development Runtime", ofmwls_jrf_generic_12.1.1.0.0_disk1_1if1.zip , 1.5 GB.
My understanding is that this, ADF Essentials Application Development Runtime,

I have completed step / section 3.1.1 entitled " Installing and Configuring a Certified Database " (page 18).

Oracle JDeveloper and ADF 12c (12.1.2) Supported Systems, Last Updated: July 10, 2013
             http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/documentation/1212-cert-1964670.html
I chose Java DB and set the system variables as follows...
    NAME & VALUE
    VERIFICATION
    JAVA_HOME = C:\PF\Java\jdk1.7.0_40
    > echo %JAVA_HOME%
    PATH includes %JAVA_HOME%\bin
    > java -version
    DERBY_HOME = %JAVA_HOME%\db
    > echo %DERBY_HOME%
    PATH includes %DERBY_HOME%\bin
    > sysinfo
The Java DB is up and running / started as a Network Server via
               > java -jar %DERBY_HOME%\lib\derbyrun.jar server start
The next step is 3.1.2 entitled Starting the Repository Creation Utility ( RCU ).
The third screen is entitled " Database Connect Details " and the first field is "Database Type" with a
pull-down menu offering 5 choices. They are...
    1) Oracle
    2) Oracle Database enabled for edition-based redefinition
    3) Microsoft SQL Server
    4) IBM DB2
    5) MySQL Database
I expected " Java DB " to be one of the choices.
    Where is " Java DB " ?
For the RCU Database Connection Screen, I set the fields to the following values...
    DATABASE TYPE: Oracle
    HOST NAME:         localhost
    PORT:                   1527
    SERVICE NAME:    jdbc
    USERNAME:          Michael
    PASSWORD:          itsAsecret
    ROLE:                    SYSDBA
Clicked " NEXT " button and RCU Response is " IO Error: Unexpected packet ".
The Command Prompt window where Java DB was started responds as follows...
Mon Oct 28 19:06:04 CDT 2013 : Execution failed because of a Distributed Protocol Error:  DRDA_Proto_SYNTAXRM; CODPNT arg  = 0; Error Code Value = 3. Plaintext connection attempt from an SSL enabled client?

    org.apache.derby.impl.drda.DRDAConnThread.sessionInitialState(Unknown Source)         at org.apache.derby.impl.drda.DRDAConnThread.run(Unknown Source)

I think I can answer my own question.
    Here, http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/jdev/documentation/1212-cert-1964670.html
    the fine print says...
    " Databases
The following table identifies databases supported by JDeveloper and ADF.
JDeveloper support refers to using the modeling tools, browsing the database schema from the Database navigator, creating offline database objects, and using the SQL*Worksheet. For ADF, database support entails using the database as a data source for ADF Business Components. ".
Interpreting the text as is, the databases listed may (or may not) be supported by the RCU.
What customers are also interested in knowing is databases supported by the RCU.
On the web page for "Supported Systems",
a new Databases table with an additional column for the RCU would be an improvement.

This data should be in the supported application or applications on your computer.
The backup stores iPhone settings, SMS messages, notes created with the Notes app, cities tracked with the Weather widget, stocks tracked with the Stocks widget, recent calls, call favorites, alarms, visual voicemail, email account settings, and photos captured by your iPhone.
Basically the backup stores data not included with the sync process.

Where is java source code for TitledBorder?
I don't want to decompile it, as it may be slightly different than the original.
Is it in some jar file on my computer?
    Thanks

It's different from the original because the names of objects are different. I decompiled them, because I didn't feel like paging through that URL to find them.
I was trying to fix the TitledBorder, because it leaves like 2 pixels of padding outside of the border, but all the variables I change in that class don't seem to correct that.

If you install just the Apple Java updates including the last which was 2012-006 then you will not see the new Java Preference Pane. To get the new one you need to install the Oracle version of Java for Mac which can be downloaded free from http://www.java.com

The Java runtime is not an application that you can move around. It's integrated into the OS.
