Where is Lion 10.7 upgrade available for download?

Need a link to download Lion 10.7 upgrade.  Nothing else.  Don't need a later version.  Really don't need anyone to ask me why or other half assed questions.
All the previous support messages from the community are wrong on this topic. People get the error message: "This update requires Mac OS X 10.7"
Lion 10.7 is not with the rest of the updates online (only 10.7.1 up) so don't recommend a search.
It's not in the App Store, so don't recommend going there.  Only the latest version of Lion is in the App Store.
There is no retail version available to buy online that I can find.
Maybe I'll go to the "genius" bar (that's a stretch) and about 15 dollars worth of gas.
The Lion 10.7.4 combo (which I just bought) DOES NOT INSTALL otherwise on 10.6.8 (which I also just bought).
Thank you Apple, for probably the most INEPT product release in Apple history: Lion 10.7
(I have 6 Apple computers in my house)  This is one that got left behind and needs upgrading.  That's all.  Shouldn't be this hard.  Except it's Apple.

You have to purchase it from the Mac App store, the Mac has to be running OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.6 or greater to access it. Lion IS NOT a free upgrade, the cost is $29.99. It will ONLY download the most up-to-date version of Lion which is currently 10.7.4.
Also had you bothered to read the Terms of Use of this forum you would have seen this is NOT a place to rant and you are NOT communicating directly to Apple. If you have Lion on your other system and and the machine that does not have Lion installed is using the same Apple ID then go to then click the Purchased tab in the App Store and download.
I am going to ask the moderator to remove your derogatory comments as they are against the Terms of Use you agreed to and are unnecessary.

  • Any upgrades available for Mac OSX 10.5.8?????

are ther any upgrades available for download for Mac OSX 10.5.8????

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
Mac OS X 10.5.8 is Leopard. Mac OS X Leopard was launched in 2007 and is now discontinued, so Apple isn't releasing more updates for it.
Your only option is to upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard, if your Mac is compatible > http://support.apple.com/kb/sp575 You can buy it in the Apple Online Store > http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard

I have snow leopard 10.6.8 and want to get on iCloud which requires Lion... should I buy Lion at $29.99 now and upgrade to Mountain Lion when available (I can't see where it is available for download yet) and what is cost of upgrade to Mountain Lion?   Or should I simply wait for Mountain Lion?

I would wait for Mountain Lion to be released. According to Apple, Mountain Lion will be released by end of July 2012.
It will cost you only $19.99 to upgrade. You can find all the details at the following link...

It has to be 10.6.8 I believe, before you can upgrade to Lion. I found some more info, please check out: http://www.informationweek.com/byte/howto/personal-tech/desktop-os/231001728
Be sure all your programms will work on Lion. Power PC programms do not work anymore (eg Nikon Scan 4 will not work from now on on Mac OS X). Some versions of Canon utilities for camera's do not work, Canon still have to upgrade. For an App Compatibility Table: http://roaringapps.com/apps:table

  • I have an older I Mac operating system 10.6.8 and want to upgrade.  I've been told that the only upgrade available for my machine is 10.7.5.  On what website can I find this upgrade or how do I find this upgrade on the Apple website?

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Back up your data and check your applications for compatibility before upgrading. In particular, Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

  • Will Lion still be available for download when Mountain Lion is released?

    Hi all,
My Mac mini is still running Snow Leopard. I have been tempted to wait for Mountain Lion to be released before upgrading, but am now concerned that Lion (10.7) may no longer be available for download on the store after Mountain Lion (10.8) is released should I want to run it instead.
Does anyone know whether Lion will continue to be purchaseable?
    Thanks!

You can purchase, download and archive the Lion installer now and save it for future use if it is not available later...

  • HT5218 Safari 5.1.5 for Mac OS X Server v10.6 is no longer available for downloading, where I can find it?

afari 5.1.5 for Mac OS X Server v10.6 is no longer available for downloading, where I can find it?

FWIW, Software Update Server on OS X Server 10.6 did occasionally corrupt itself.
If I had a case of that arise, I'd get a full backup, would shut off Software Update Server, apply the current OS X Server 10.6.8 combo update and the current and subsequent patches, then reset the Software Update Server caches and force a new download of everything, and then restart the Software Update Server.
Alternatively — and given what I've encountering with 10.6.8-vintage hardware failures in the last few months — I'd probably look to migrate to newer hardware and newer software.  Those disks are getting old, after all.
Software Update Server and Caching Server 2 on 10.9 have both been stable.
The Reposado open-source implementation of Software Update Server might provide you with an alternative approach, if Software Update Server is being recalcitrant and if you can't upgrade.

I have a Mac Pro 2006 running on leopard and I need to upgrade my Pro Tool Studio LE 7 to 8 so it can work on Leopard.. anyone knows where I can buy the upgrade version for this? and how much does it cost?

Upgrade to Pro Tools Studio LE 8: - http://shop.avid.com/store/product.do?product=288865113879120
But it would be worth searching through the Updates to see if there is an update for Leopard, which it looks like there is: - http://avid.custkb.com/avid/app/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=355241

Here is a link to buy Snow Leopard, but you need to wait to use it because the Apple Store is being updated, probably because of the meeting Apple has called for today.

That's correct kayraypole! For our upgrade eligible customers, we have a deal that you can trade in any iPhone for a $200 Verizon Wireless gift card. Here's a link so you can check it out, www.trade-in.vzw.com. If you already upgraded & you are within 14 days of purchase then you can return the 5s, restocking fee may be applicable, and take advantage of this promo. How awesome is that!

    Any solution

    HI,
No  SOLUTION FROM HERE, but I have an unresolved issue with similar overtones.
As a new member, having had a birthday gift from a family member in another country, I am dismayed to find out that there is an unresolved business logic issue, which will allow me to own a MacBook Air, but because I live in a different country to the place of purchase there is a big No No. Additionally, my pension provideds me with a credit card from that first origin, but I am forbidden from buying any software elswhere? Apple seem reluctant to discuss this with me, but  some solutions have been offered to get me the free downloads?
Does this come under 'unfit for purpose' and/or 'dodgy trading'? Apple unspoken message, buying from abroad. Dont go there!
    Any help or views?

  • HT6297 Is iOS 7.1.2 still available for download so I can upgrade my iPhone4s from iOS 6?

Is iOS 7.1.2 still available for download so I can upgrade my iPhone4s from iOS 6.1.3?
I've been resisting but need to upgrade now.  trying not to have to go to iOS 8 due to some of the bad press it's been receiving.

Don't believe the bad press. It is generally wrong anyway.
I say that you should upgrade to iOS 8.1. So far both myself and the users I help to support have upgrade without any problems at all.

  • Muse 7 Beta 3 available for download... Where?!

I've opted in to the Beta program a week or two ago and it says that that the beta version is not available for download yet, but this forum says it is?
Do I have to wait to be accepted into the program to get the download? If yes (as I'm assuming is the case) how long should this take?
Looking forward to seeing what new features the Beta version offers (loving Muse CC btw!)
