Where is log off link on SDN?

Please could you someone tell me where is the log off link on SDN (sdn.sap.com)?

Hi Tuncay,
ah ok, the behaviour you described is due to the fact that you installed a SSO certificate for your OSS ID (S-Userid) and hence you will be logged in automatically as that user. In order to avoid that you have to set specific settings in your browser so that you get prompted each time for your SSO certificate. You should then do not select this SSO certificate (OSS ID). This results in an anonymous SDN session where you can provide any userid/passwd you want in the login box.
How to set these settings in IE:
Tools > Internet Options > Security > Custom level
The setting is called "Don't prompt for client certificate when no certificates or only one certificate exists" and has to be set to "Disabled".

Folkert

    I thought you needed to change the URL in configtool. And this is only on parameter.

  • Browser Shut-down using "Log off" link

    When a user selects "Log off" in EBP the system displays a page which reads:
    "End of Session
    Thank you fro working with the Internet Transaction Server".
    Does anyone know how to close this window automatically (requiring no user intervention).  We are currently still using the external ITS (in case that matters)
    Thanks!
    Rebecca

    Hello Rebecca,
    when clicking on "log off", the systeme open a pop up window that will close the SRM session, this pop up will desappear itself. The main window remain and show the url defined in parameter exiturl (or a message "thank you for using ITS").
    I understand you want to shut close the main window. To do this you have to use a javascript method like window.close and insert it in the js function that is called when clicking on "log off". An other solution would be to define in parameter exiturl a page build as this:
    <html>
    <head>
    </head>
    <body onload="javascript: self.close ()">
    </body>
    </html>
    so that you won't do any standard modification

  • Portege R500 logs off spontaneously with no user input

    My Toshiba Portege R500 has a strange problem where it logs off spontaneously without any user input. This has happened since approximately 2 weeks into ownership and happens once or twice per day.
    There is no consistency in when or why this happens. The machine can be idle, or I can be running a variety of software. There is no consistency in the software I have running when it happens. The machine will just suddenly display the Windows XP "logging off" dialog box, then commence log-off. It gets to the "Saving your Settings" stage then hangs. I then need to force a power off and reboot the machine. This happens regardless of whether the machine is running off the battery or mains power.
    This doesn't seem to be heat related, as I would expect heat related problems to simply power the machine off, not actually go through the log off procedure. There is nothing in the event viewer and it does not seem related to any particular software. I have tried recreating my local profile and the problem still occurs.
    My technical services department have been told that Toshiba Support will not look at this problem unless we try a full rebuild of the machine first. I find this a bit extreme and would rather they looked at resolving the problem instead of just wiping the whole thing and re-installing Windows XP.
    Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas what could be causing this?
    Thanks,
    Derek

    Hello Derek
    Is WXP your own installation or you got WXP recovery media?
    To be honest for such problems is really not easy to find an answer and to find any logical explanation can take hours of investigation. If your case is an isolated case I do not see any sense to spend so many times and because of that I can understand the support guys.
    The fact is that Toshiba must guarantee that recovery image will work well. And because of that they can say: let us make new WXP installation and see if the problem persists. At this point where you make some changes on preinstalled OS and install some non-supported software there is a new situation and it is not easy to offer simply answer to every strange issue.
    I am really interested if someone else will report about the same problem.
    Bye

  • Run time error occured while clicking the Log off

    Hello Experts,
    I have customized masthead file. In the masthead, when i click the log off link, the pop-up window will showing the Runtime error message. Its not working properly. I didnt make any changes in log off method. I traced the error,
    <%if (!isPreview){%>
              if (EPCM.getUAType() == EPCM.MSIE)
                   if(EPCM.getGlobalDirty())
                         // unsaved data on the page, display modified dialog
                        var val = window.showModalDialog('<%=GetLogoffConfirmUnsavedMsgURL(componentRequest)%>', '', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_MSG_ARGS_IE%>');
                        if (val == 'logoff')
                             disableWorkProtectCheck = true;
                             logoff();
                   else //no unsaved data
                        // data saved, nothing get lost on the page, display normal dialog
                      var val = window.showModalDialog('<%=GetLogoffConfirmMsgURL(componentRequest)%>', '', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_MSG_ARGS_IE%>');
                      if (val == 'logoff')
                          logoff();
              else
                   if(EPCM.getGlobalDirty())
                      window.open('<%=GetLogoffConfirmUnsavedMsgURL(componentRequest)%>', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_WINDOW_NAME%>', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_MSG_ARGS_NS%>');
                   else
                      window.open('<%=GetLogoffConfirmMsgURL(componentRequest)%>', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_WINDOW_NAME%>', '<%=LOGOFF_CONFIRM_MSG_ARGS_NS%>');
         <%}%>
    In this code having if condition if(EPCM.getGlobalDirty()) is set as true means, then only properly executed and it shows the Log off message. In my part it goes to the else part. Then it shows run time error message.
    I cannt able to find out the solution.Pls help me in this regarding.

    Hi,
    see if running SFC /Scannow helps. This basically restores missing/corrupt system files.
    Click Start/Run and type CMD
    Type SFC /Scannow

  • Custom Masthead - Log off

    hi,
    I have developed a custom masthead for our portal. Instead of Log off being called in the functional area. I have inserted that in the separate area where the log off has to appear.
    The line looks like
    I have given log off text in between <a> tag and the href points to "/irj/portal" and the javascript that is callled is openLogoffMsg
    when I preview this code running from NWDS, it is logging off. When i add this to framework Page and click on Log off URL, the pop up comes and when i click 'ok', it is refreshing and staying in the same page and not getting logged off. What should I do to get logged off and redirect it to the logon page.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ganesh N

    Hi,
    Is the issue logoff direction to logon page, so that if a user logs off from portal, he will navigate to portal logon page (hostname:portnumber/irj/portal)?
    If this is the problem you can change the redirection of the portal logoff in the following way:
    In the config tool navigate to:
    cluster_config --> system --> custom_global --> cfg --> services --> com.sap.security.core.ume.services --> Property Sheet properties.
    switch to edit mode and change the property ume.logoff.redirect.url with the custom value "http://hostname:portnumber/irj/portal".
    After saving your changes restart the system.
    Regards,
    Yasar

    Hello there, am new here and very stressed, i have an Imac core i3 which is logging off itself after a few seconds of login, it goes back to the login menu where i put the password. I have tried to repair the os but my pioneer rom is not reading the disk. I press the :c" button on startup but its not picking up the disk in the rom, i have tried to put the disk in an external rom but same answer, am starting to think that my os disk is bad. Please help me.

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
    Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
    Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
    Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
    *Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, or if a firmware password is set, you can’t boot in safe mode.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
    After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

    You should use a brute-force algorithm on the on/off switch on your pc. I suggest a rate of 30 hits per minute.

    where windows batch file lies which log off windows ? wana log off my pc from java code

    grc.com has a program (very small) that does it. The program is called "wizmo" and is written in Assembly.
    If you are using Windows NT/2000/XP you can get a program in MS Windows Resource Kit called "shutdown.exe" but the program does only the shutdown job. You must manually turn the machine off.

  • Capturing the LOG OFF url click action in a Webdynpro application

    Hi,
    I have this requirement where I need to know when the User logs off in a webdynpro application.
    I have several webdynpro applications, each independent, and each need to do some clean up tasks when the user clicks on the LOG OFF url in the portal login.
    Is there some standard event attached with the LOG OFF Url of the portal login?
    And could anybody please specify when exactly would the  <i>wdDoExit()</i> method of the application view(s) or the application component controller get's trigerred when the application is run from the portal login?
    Thanks in Advance.
    Regards,
    Swapna Priya.

    Hi Luciano,
    I was successfully able to call the RFC from wdDoExit() method of the component controller.
    Also I could successfully place a custom alert call when the user clicks on the LOGOFFurl in the portal browser.
    Now I have one more pending requirement for me to completely use this cycle of events.....The Portal Browser close action i.e., 'X' action.
    I did find a forum link with some code for the same but i did not understand where to place that code and have already raised a reply for hte same.
    Below is the link:
    /message/230174#230174 [original link is broken]
    Do you have any idea about how to trap this?
    Thanks for all your support

    Hello,
    Assuming that you are using SAP GUI for HTML, I dont think there is any way to not get the SAP GUI loading screen. I just had a look at our transaction iViews and I dont get any log off prompt and login prompt either. Have you setup SSO between your portal and the backend systems?
