Where is Mini Bridge

Hi guys,
I am new to Adobe Creative Cloud. I just installed Ps, Ai, and Id. The thing is I can't find the Mini Bridge panel where its supposed to be; under Extensions in the Window menu. In fact, the entire Extensions Menu option is disabled.
Can anyone tell me how I can activate Mini Bridge?

CS5.5 - Where is Mini Bridge?

InDesign CS5.5, running in WinXP. I don't see Mini Bridge on the Window menu, and when I shift-click on the Bridge icon, it opens regular Bridge. When I click the link near the bottom which says "Reveal in Mini Bridge", I get an error message: "Unable to reveal this document". Yes, I have Bridge open already in the background. Same error no matter what document I have open.
Has Mini Bridge been discontinued in CS5.5?

Eugene, of course I've thought of that. But the evidence points to something more inbetween: an incompatility between my systems (plural) and Adobe products only, with perhaps both at fault. The CS4 updating problem occurred on my previous system. For various reasons I trashed that computer and got a new one. The very first non-Microsoft programs I installed were the CS4 suite. Well, guess what? First AIR updates failed one after the other, then anything that needed AIR, such as Media Encoder, failed to update and then stopped working entirely. Photoshop CS4 failed to update yet again. I lived with it. I also wasn't alone. I checked the forums and saw louder moans than mine on this same issue.
If I was the only single user experiencing the issues of nonconnectivity of CSLive, and malfunction of MiniBridge, in every application, I'd believe it's my system's fault only. But I've found enough evidence on these forums and elsewhere that the problem I'm having, though not rampant, is not unique to me. That means there is still hope for a possible workaround.
If anyone has a suggestion for any kind of workaround specifically to install MiniBridge in its latest form for CS5.5 applications--other than reformatting my computer and hoping it maybe works this time around--I will be delighted to try it!
And by the way, Eugene, I genuinely appreciate your taking the trouble to post your various suggestions. Everyone else, too.

CC and CC2014 are the current versions of Photoshop. CC stands for Creative Cloud.

Mini Bridge "Waiting for Bridge" error Macintosh

We'd been having this error on a couple of our computers and none of the steps in the KB article http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/error-waiting-for-bridge-cs5.html are working.
We initally set up one computer to be used as our master image. Once we had things working the way we wanted on this computer we cloned the drive using Carbon Copy Cloner and distributed the master image to 3 other computers for testing. Mini Bridge was working fine on the master image. Once we cloned the master we changed the name of the default user account to our intended user's name following Apple's directions for changing user account names. Mini Bridge did not work on any of the user accounts on the cloned computers even those accounts whose names did not change. I even tried creating a new test account and it still does not work.
I've been doing some experimenting removing various Adobe related files and then trying to use the Mini Bridge until I figured out what worked. What I found was I could go to Library/Application Support/Adobe, and using Get Info, make the default user the owner of the Adobe folder. (They already had read/write permissions.) After that they are able to use the Mini Bridge. However, none of my other user accounts can work with the Mini Bridge since they are not owners of the Adobe folder. It seems that Mini Bridge is only able to function if the current user is also the owner of the Adobe folder?
I looked at the permissions on the master for the Adobe folder and it said it was owned by root and belonged to the admin group. On the cloned images it states that it is owned by the default user and belongs to the staff group. I tried using Terminal and changed the owner and group to root and admin as it was on the master, but that didn't make any difference. It will still only work if the default user is actually made the owner of the folder.
We will be cloning several more computers this way and I'd like to figure out why this is not working and see if there is a way to make it work for all users of the computer. I am sure something is happening with permissions on the Adobe folder when the user account is renamed on the clone, however I also did a group of 4 laptops this same way and those cloned computers all work fine under all user accounts.

Thanks for the suggestions. I finally got it working today.
We've been using Bridge for quite a while but the Mini Bridge is new to us as we are just now updating to CS5. I did notice a bit of lag time with Mini Bridge and sometimes it didn't want to display the items on networked drives, but if I hit the backward and forward arrows it would work, so maybe just a screen redraw issue or something there, but other than that it seems to be working ok over our network for now.
Your tip about having only one copy of Bridge open at a time was the key. We have been able to open the same program on multiple user accounts simultaneously before, but I can't say that we have with Bridge. I didn't notice it at first but when you choose Mini Bridge in InDesign it is actually opening the full Bridge in the background though it doesn't open the Bridge window, but looking at my Dock I see where it has been launched. When I would switch to another user account to test the Mini Bridge I wasn't closing out of Bridge in the first account, since I didn't realize it was open, so I'm assuming since it was still open there it could not launch it under the second user. Once I closed out of Bridge on the first account it worked fine on the second.
So think we have it resolved now.
Thanks so much for the tip! This has been driving me crazy for a day and a half. Now I can get on with my other computer set-ups.
By the way, we are ok on the number of CS copies floating around, we have a volume license. :-)

Mini Bridge thumb nail size error

I keep the scroll bar on the bottom of the mini bridge all the way to the left. This should show the smallest thunbnails. However when I first start the mini bridge the thumb nail size is medium sized. If I move the scroll bar toward the center, the thumbs get smaller (instead of the expected larger) until the scroll bar reachs the center. Then they start getting larger as expected. It seems the the mini briger starts with the thumbs as mediun by default no matter where the scroll bar is at. As you move the scroll bar to the right, the thumbs get smaller until they reach the size they should be at as indicted by the position of the scroll bar. Then the scroll bar operates normal. If I leave it all the way to the left and restart the computer the error is back.

Starting Photoshop CC/mini bridge is returning an error message

With Bridge CC open, I select Browse in Mini Bridge and receive the following: "Cannot complete the command because the extension could not be loaded"
Photoshop CS6 works fine, but this is with Photoshop CC.

Do you happen to know where mini bridge loads from? When I have bridge cc running and open a photo in PScc from bridge, then when I hit 'File/Browse in mini bridge', I get a small dialog box telling me the mini-bridge extension is not installed.
If it were installed, where whould the launch file be? Can the alleged extension be gotten hold of anywhere?

Photoshop cs6 mini bridge navigation

hi all, recently updated to cs6 - open the 'new and improved' mini bridge to much disapointment,
incs5, i had mini bridge set to have ONE navigation window, which showed thumnails and well as folders, which behaved much like in finder in the fact that i could click on a folder within the navigation window and start typing the name of another folder (on the same level) to get to it quickly, and simply hit enter to open a folder.
now i have a navigation panel (which i cannot start typing the letters of file name into, and have to scroll through a list of folders to get where i want), and a preview panel that does not show any subfolders within, only images, although i can navigate though images WITHIN a folder by typing an image name.
i can't even find where to set minibridge preferences ( in cs5 it was under 'home') so im not sure if this customisable functionality still exists and i just cant find it, or adobe have made a very big mistake by making bridge much less time efficient only alowing navigation by clicking through folders....
anyone know how to set preferences?

Mini Bridge always requires Bridge to be active for showing the content of the Bridge files. If you start mini bridge in PS without having Bridge itself zctive a message should appear that you have to launch Bridge and also a launch button to do the task for you.
In Bridge first select the file that appears corrupted in MB and with right mouse click menu choose 'purge cache for selection'. If this is not working first try a reset of the preferences for Photoshop ( on a Mac this is restart PS with holding down shift, option and command key, should be something similar in Windows)
This might work for MB but also resets the other PS prefs to factory default so you have to set your custom wishes again. Not a big deal but you have to be aware of this :-)
Same can be done for Bridge itself with restart Bridge and holding down control key and choose reset preferences. But if your first attempt with purge cache for selection works you can choose the menu tools in Bridge and while having the folder content of the problem files in the content panel choose cache/ purge cache for folder and let it rebuild.

I am trying to edit a video clip in Photoshop (Mini Bridge) I cannot get the Timeline tab to display in Mini Bridge. I have exhausted all
settings preferences and resources. I use PsCC. One of you brilliant guys may know the solution.

Mini Bridge: how to clear recent files/folders?

Hi all,
I am a new user of Photoshop CS5.1 Extended and have a question about Mini Bridge. My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, and I'm using the 64-bit version of Photoshop.
My question is: how do I clear the Recent Files and Recent Folders lists from the navigation pane of Mini Bridge?
In Bridge itself I have set the 'number of recent items' to zero. I can't see any equivalent setting in Mini Bridge.
The reason for asking is that prior to purchasing and installing the Production Premium Suite, I demoed the Web Premium Suite, including Fireworks. Even though Fireworks is now uninstalled and I can find no reference to it in the Windows Registry, Fireworks has its own submenu of recent files in Mini Bridge. I can't figure out where this information is stored.

Ok, I just figured this out.
In Bridge (not Mini Bridge), it's the Reveal Recent toolbar icon, then "Clear Recent Files" and/or "Clear Recent Folders".
This is a bit counter-intuitive, considering that "number of recent items to display" in Bridge was already set to zero, but hey ho.
Just thought I'd post this in case anyone else finds the thread and is curious.

Auto Scaling thumbs in Mini Bridge really necessary?

I would expect that opening up Mini Bridge would simply show more thumbs rather than automatically scaling 1 or 2 as big as possible.
How is this useful? And how is it not annoying?
I wish Mini bridge had a Scale Slider like its big brother has.
Don't think I'm gonna have this panel open at all when I get CS6.

Why do I not have the option for my mini bridge in photoshop?

I have a MAC and photoshop CC 2014 and I do not have any option to open mini bridge or even view in mini bridge anywhere in my settings, options or where it should be at the bottom of my photoshop.
Does anyone know where it is or why I don't have it?

Thank you. I was finally able to take to tech support too and they tell me it has been removed. Thanks again. I will take a look at the link.

Mini Bridge in CS6 InDesign won't sort files

I am running CS6 on Snow Leopard.
When I open the mini bridge panel in InDesign I can't sort any files in the Nav Pod. It has no effect on the file sort.
I have updated the CS software and reset my bridge preferences. Do you have any other suggestions?
Bridge works fine.

I have 8 MB of RAM. I restarted all the software, but not my computer.
It is in the left column that I am having the problem.
There was a previous discussion thread where a user on Mountain Lion was having the same issue, but it wasn't resolved in that discussion thread either.
