Where is mobile stock management customizing guide ?
Hello
For CRM 2007 mobile stock management in Mobile service. Netweaver 7.1 mobile is mandatory. However, I could not find the IMG guide for this area. Such as connectivity setup between that and CRM or backend ECC. Has anyone done that part?
Thanks
Ming
Hi Abishek
I have read that part of the document. But that is more of a user guide. It describes the functionality. But what I need is how to implement the functionality.
There is additional middleware component involved in this scenario, Netweaver mobile 7.1 DOE. But we can't find any document on setup and customizing. There are only few hints in release notes which does not give us a good picture. So if you have seen this scenario working please let me know. Any hint is helpful
Thanks
Ming

Process question - manage stock at customer site
Dear all,
I have a business requirement and I am having difficulties mapping it to SAP, as I had never seen this process.
My customer is a TELCO customer and sells or consigns materials to their agents (the materials have a serial number attached to it). They have a business need to always know how much stock is on their agents, so that they can plan their purchase orders accordingly whether if it's consigned or sold.
If it is a consignation process, there is no problem as we always have visibility of the stock on the customer site. But how to know what is the stock on customer site if we made a normal sales to them?
I have read a little bit about Vendor Managed Inventory but I don't know if it would be applicable as I have never customized it.
Regards,
JoãAfter the delivery I invoice them immediatly
In SAP, once you billed the end customer, the invoiced quantity cannot be traced as the liability ceases from manufacturer. When inventory is not there, why do you want to keep track of this. If you want still have to track the stocks, you have to create a zee table having the minimum required fields from VBRP and the customer code to whom the agent is selling along with afield called status.
As and when invoice is generated on the agent, the data should be stored in this table with the status as "stock with agent" and once the agent distributes the stocks from thieir warehouse, status should be changed to "sold" and based on this status, you have to have a zee report.
thanks

Mobile Device Management solutions for K-8 school, where are the new iOS 7 features?
Hi all,
I work at a K-8 school and we are using Meraki by Cisco as our Mobile Device Management solution. This seems to be working just fine but with the release of iOS 7 we are trying to figure out how to use all of the new features included pertaining to MDM. We have about 300 iPad 2s deployed.
The teachers would love to be able to use free apps and, using Apple's VPP, paid apps. Right now we have to manually enter any redemption code into Meraki and then on each and every iPad log in using the Apple ID and password associated with the license purchased. I am aware, via several sources, that Apple now allows you to "silently" install apps. How can we do this? Anyone have any other tips to help in the deployment of the apps with the new iOS 7 features?
Thanks,

They're a lot more expensive, but Griffin has some of their 'survivor' cases with sealed ports, so you could cover up the ones you don't need.

Hello,
I am looking for ideas/help. I currently have a BB Z10 (10.1.0.2039) with Verizon Wireless. The company has a BB Enterprise Server for older devices (I previously was on that). I bought a Z10 several months ago and have been connecting to the corporate network through Lotus Traveler. They do not have and will not implement a BB 10 Enterprise Server. Some in IT informed that if the company used the BB software they could manage all devices..... not accepted.
All my contacts, calendar, and company email is funneled to the BB Hub.....
So my company is implementing a Mobile Asset Management Service that I have to sign up for (Airwatch?). They only support Android and IPhone.
Will future versions of the BB OS support Android Apps.... Soon (I have less than 2 weeks)
I have read where it is possible to put the device in development mode to run Android Apps. I don't know if that will work with this and have no idea how stable the phone is in that mode. I travel internationally so I don't know how a development mode would work overseas. Any thoughts?
I like my Z10 but will need to switch to keep functionality if I can't find a work around
Any assistance ????
Thanks for any help.Hi and Welcome to the Community!
BB10 devices have the ability to run .apk apps via special methods. Development Mode is used only for installing the app...not for normal operation. So you install (side-load) the app in Development Mode, then go back to normal mode for normal operations.
If a .bar file for the .apk app already exists somewhere, you can side load it to the BB10 device and see if it works or not. If there is not yet any .bar file, there is an app called SideSwype that can convert many .apk apps to .bar and install it to your device.
Good luck!

Integrating CC&B & Mobile Workforce Management
I am trying to do CC&B integration with Mobile Workforce Management.
Steps followed by me:
I created a FA with dispatch group, CI_MWM(Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management )
As soon as the FA is created a record is created in the NDS table(CI_NT_DWN).
As per the flow, the MPL processes the NDS record by calling an XAI service to extract FA information from the system. The message in the format expected by Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management system is stored on the XAI Download Staging Table (CI_XAI_DWN).
But I am not able to see any record created in the XAI Download Staging Table table. I am writing the details of few things which are involved in the process.
CI_NT_DWN data created…….
NT_DWN_ID = 9014848337780
SPR_CD = CI_SPLMWM
NT_DWN_TYPE_CD = CI_FACREATE
NT_DWN_BATCH_NBR = 0
VERSION = 4
NT_PROC_METH_FLAG = X
Notification Download Type Details:
Type : CI_FACREATE
XAI Inbound Service Name : ExtractFAInfo
External System Details
External System Name : CI_SPLMWM
Our Name in the System: Customer Care & Billing
W/F Process Profile: ESP REQUEST
No value is given in the Notification Download Profile.
As per my understanding, the MPL server should pick data from the NDS, Call ExtractFAInfo and populate the data in the XAI Download staging table(CI_XAI_DWN), from where , the sender defined in “Route type “ calls the Web service in MWM. But as there is no data getting created in the XAI Download staging table
As there is no value in the Notification Download Profile , there is no route type.Can this be a reason.
Also what is the Outbound message type to be defined for MWM external system. Do I need to create it.If yes , how to do so.
Also, I could se the role of the Reciever here , as the data is not being picked from the NDS table……how should I configure the receiver for the same.
Kindly suggest me the solution so that I can atleast create a record in the XAI Download Staging table that shows a column with SOAP request created.

Edited by: user652581 on May 5, 2009 4:11 AMU were correct..I had put the context value wrong.
I havent yet set the XAI sender to JMS queue, but atleast my mpl.trc file creates a SOAP message with FA data:
My mpl.trc file:

ISE integration with Mobile Device Management ( MDM ) help required
Dear Techies,
Am here bring to your notice an different issue and no much resources to support even in PEC or Cisco Document.
We are conduction a Proof Of Concept (PoC) on Secure Bring Your Own Device ( BYOD ) using Cisco ISE and gonna test all the scenarios like Wired, Wireless and VPN user access.
Setup Brief :
=========
Our Setup has ISE VM acting as Admin, Monitor and Profiling Device, we have NAC 3315 physical Appliance as Inline posture Device, Wireless LAN controller, Access point and the Identity source as Microsof Active Directory
Having Plans to Integrate Mobile Device Management ( MDM ) and Citrix VDI setup also.
Activity Brief:
=========
As of now we have tested the Wired Scenario Authentication and authorization for guest users and gonna carry out the profiling and posture.
Clarifications Required
================
Wired Scenario - Require some configuration / steps on how to carryout posture for the guest wired users i.e. LAPTOP.
Wireless Scenario
MDM can be integrated to ISE ?
How the MDM can be integrated to Cisco ISE configuration or Guide to show the same?
What is the demarcation between MDM and ISE ( i.e. What is the role of ISE and MDM on Mobile Devices ) ?
If MDM is available so then when the control of ISE ends, does MDM do management or ISE will do management of the devices ?
Is MDM will do client provisioning or ISE should do ?
Is MDM send or update patches of Mobile Devices ?
As of now these are the scenarios, kindly revert if any good documents to show this or share your expertise on the Integration Part.
Thanks for Reading...
ArunI would like to avail your valuable inputs to understand on the Client provisioning part for the Mobile Devices/ Laptop. I understand from your reply that MDM integration is not available in the current release ISE 1.1 - That is correct.
Kindly let me know your views or any documents on the following scenarios with the current release in mind
1. User with Mobile devices connecting to Wireless ( both Employee and Guest ) , How the Flow differs for the Employee and Guest. How the client provisioning is done ( i.e. Like Posturing or Compliance Check ).
The posturing and compliance check is done based on the user authentication information (i.e. AD memberOf vs Guest user) combined with the users endpoint (windows, mac osx, or a mobile device), ISE then has a few decisions to make based on the authorization policies. For example, if a Domain User coming from a Windows 7 machine joins the network, then can either use the nac agent, or the web agent. Then you can scan for registry settings, file settings, program requirements, hotfix compliance...and the list goes on. If the user fails a check then you can either assign an acl for the user so they only have guest access, or you can place them into a remediation vlan the options are entirely up to the requirements and however the solution is implemented.
2. User with Laptop connecting to Wireless ( both Employee and Guest ). How the client provisioning is done ( i.e. Like Posturing or Compliance Check ).
Guests are usually redirected to the guest portal which they authenticate and their user group falls within the Guest container that is on the ISE internal database, that is usually coupled with an authorization profile that grants them internet access. For the client provisioning, that is usually done based on the operating system, via profiling (dhcp, and user agent string., netmap...etc) and can be fine tuned for all laptops or to a specific set of users based on their group membership.
3. What are advantages of having ISE also in place for Mobile devices, since most of the Mobile related tasks ( like Authentication, Authorization, Profiling and Posture ) are carried out by MDM. I am checking for the significant advantage of having ISE for Client network having only Mobile devices. Kindly clarify.
Currently the advantage of Cisco ISE is that it supports profiling within wireless and really fits well within a network that has mostly Cisco products since they are all part of of the Borderless security initiative being driven on the backend. The product teams for wireless, wired, security (vpn..etc) and ISE are pretty close in building their solutions so that you can get connected with any device any where (sorry for the sales pitch). The latests wireless code is improving and is going to have support similar to the ios sensor for wired devices where dhcp, cdp, and other attributes can be sent in the radius packet for better profiling decisions. With integration for an MDM platform coming soon, and also support for TACACS rumored (have to verify with your account rep) you have options that really stand out from a unit that only supports MDM. Cisco ISE also comes with a wireless product ID so that makes the budget work when it comes to deploying ISE if you arent looking for enforcement on your wired devices.
4. Do you recommend 802.1X Authentication to use for the Employee and Contractor? The Guest user authentication as Open ?
For internal users and vendors the best option by far is dot1x, almost all operating systems are capable of performing dot1x and the 1.1.1 MR has a piece now that can provision the supplicant for the users, by using scep to enroll certificates or configure peap settings.
There is a feature within the guest portal that allows you to statically assign guests into endpoint group, that feature is called device registration web authentication. It seems like an open network but uses mac filtering to assign these devices to an endpoint without requiring users to enter any credentials. They are presented with an AUP page, once they accept their mac address is mapped to the endpoint group
5. How can we ensure the Encryption of traffic from the Guest user to the NAD ( Network Access devices ) ?
This may be a wireless question but I am sure the encryption is done using AES and using dot1x as the key management here is a brief background for this - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk722/tk809/technologies_configuration_example09186a00807f42e9.shtml#L2
You can also use the anyconnect client which can provide macsec which is layer 2 encryption for wired - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/vpndevc/ps6032/ps6094/ps6120/qa_c67-622477_ns1049_Networking_Solutions_Q_and_A.html
6. We are also looking for VDI ( Citrix, VMware ) solution for the client ( both Employee and Guest ) , how ISE can play a role in securing the VDI environment.
For most thin clients you can perform dot1x authentication on the device itself, however that is something the manufacturer will have to support. This is a little gray for me.
7. Is that any integration required with Citrix or VMware. How the VDI can be offered based on the User role ( i.e. Employee, Contractor or Guest ), since Guest database is available only with ISE, how the checks are made from the VDI environment.
IN ISE there is an identity sequence which can authenticate users in AD first, if the user is not found then it can look in the internal database.
Our solution demands MDM in the integrated solution, As on today ISE cant be integrated with MDM. so what kind of solution we can propose to have MDM and Cisco ISE .Do the clients now enter the network should have already installed the MDM agent (or) any other way of pushing the same to the Client.
Today there is no integration between the devices, the last release time I heard was December for this feature. However it would be best to confirm with your Cisco Account rep on this issue.
Thanks,
Tarik Admani

Best Regards,
TedHi,
We have this answer in many other threads..
Mobile infrastructure (MI 2.5 / MI 7.0) is the older release of mobile.The latest version of mobile is NW Mobile 7.1 which comes with a total architectural change, provides better scalability and has advantages in many other areas like better modeling, monitoring options , faster device synchronization time etc.
Netweaver mobile constitutes of server (DOE) and a default client framework (Netweaver mobile client) .
Mobile application could be created using NetweaverDeveloper Studio(NWDS) that will present the data required by the mobile device user.
This mobile application once deployed on a device will work on the local persistency and during synchronization with DOE sends the modified/new data to Backend via DOE.
Customers can also develop a custom client framework and application that still talks to DOE (and inturn to backend)
NW mobile 7.1 could be used to build mobile applications suiting offline and onlines scenarios.
In few words to mobilize enterprise solutions
SAP R/3 will act as backend
---talks to DOE through remote enabled BAPI Wrappers ---
NW mobile will be middleware that does the data orchestration
Upon Synchronization of mobile device with DOE using a messaging protocol over http(s)
Receivers could be devices with client application installed / another server.

Questions on mobile device management
Hi All,
I'm not sure where to post this question since I couldn't find a forum specific to Afaria, so thought someone here might be able to help.
1. Afaria mobile device management solution claims that data and content is backed up and can be deleted if a device is stolen or lost. Can this deletion be done if the mobile is switched off of the SIM card has been removed? What is the mechanism of the data deletion process when the device is either ON/OFF?
2. How does Afaria handle online and offline user authentication? If a mobile app is opened, can Afaria be configured to force the user to enter credentials for authentication? Or should there be a separate login page as a part of the mobile app? (The user's credentials are needed to find his role from LDAP and the rest of the app to work properly, which is y the question).
Thanks & Regards,
VaishnaviThis forum is fine for Afaria discussions and questions, no worries.
1. If mobile device is switched off or not network connected then Afaria is not able to do anything with that device. The content though would be secured, encrypted etc. so that there should be no risk as long as the device is switched off. The "kill device" command that can be sent from Afaria will work if device is turned on and connected to a network.
2. Afaria can force quite a lot of things and one of them is regarding the device itself, forcing a password/pin type of unlocking. The mobile app normally has it's own mechanism for authentication, user name and password. That is a SUP function and has little to do with Afaria, I don't believe Afaria can force that part of authentication.
You can get a good overview of the technical part of Afaria here: [Afaria Technical White paper|http://www.sybase.com/files/White_Papers/Afaria-Technical-WP.pdf] -
Retrieve Client IP Address in a Oracle WebServices Manager Custom Policy
Hi everybody,
For some reasons i had to implement a custom policy in the OWSM, to restrict the access to webservices by Client IP Addresses. I´ve been following the examples for custom policies mentioned in the books: "Oracle Web Services Manager, Oracle Web Services Manager" by Sitaraman Lakshminarayanan, and the "Oracle® Web Services Manager Extensibility Guide 10g (10.1.3.3.0)" by Oracle. I followed the examples mentioned in those books to implement my Custom policy, the policy is successfully deployed to OWSM and it works, only by the issue that when i want to retrieve the Client Ip address it returns null, and following the example by the Oracle Guide, the HttpServletRequest its also returns null, im desperated because in every site that i finally find some info about it, quotes any of these 2 examples in those books, and mine doesnt work! this is the code of the custom policy, i´ve combined the 2 aproaches:

Carlos.Hi again
copied your code for testing. And it works fine.
So both the code and policy-step definition is fine, log output below.
What is your log output?
Using soapui to send the request will give the ip of my localhost, using the test client will give the ip of the server, because that is the actual client.
I guess the server ip is 192.168.0.1 in your case, as you are testing from test console.
<b>anyway, results from SOAPUI:</b>

Inter company STO-how to reduce the stock where no physical stock is kept in receiving plant
Dear All,
I am facing one issue. Suppose if there are two plants belongs to two company codes A & B.Plant A is in TN & Plant B is in AP (both belongs to two different states). Plant B is the place where no physical stock is kept, it is a place where JJ form & other documents are given to the vehicle to move it to other state. From there it ll move to end customer.
In plant A stock reduce-- inventory credit
COGS----Debit
In plant B stock increase=---Inventory debit
GR/IR--credit
Now my problem is in plant B no stock is kept, my client wants to reduce the inventory automatically without any manual entry (since no stock in plant B)
Can i use MB1A to reduce the stock automatically & what would be the actual entry for that. How to offset the other account which is getting debited against inventory?.
Regards
Subbu.Hi,
It seems to be a combined scenario of third party and inter company STO scenario, where you want to send the send the stock directly to your customer. Standard SAP doesnt support the third party scenario for a vendor assigned to the plant. The standard design is well explained in the note: 1918552 - Third Party Purchase in Cross Company STO: error 06769
If you dont want to update the stock in the receiving plant, use a consumption account assignment category (like K) in the intercompany STO, so that the stock will be directly consumed. But one question - how do you map the goods issue to the customer and the outgoing excise invoice? Could you please share the details.

What's a good way to manage custom schema for DS 5.1?
What's a good way to manage custom schema?
Custom Schema for Object Class and Attributes
The reason I ask this is because there might be a need in the future where I need to export those custome schema into different branded directory server. I just want to make this as painless as possible.
Right now, I thought of 2 options
1) Create my own LDIF file with my custom attributes and object classes, so if one day I need to export to another directory server, I can just copy that custom created LDIF file over. (Will this work?)
2) Create a JAVA application using JNDI. What this Java App. will do is read through a XML file and create those object classes and attributes on-the-fly. (of course, the XML structure will be predefined by me, so that my Java App. will be able to parse through it correctly. Will this work?)
Anymore suggestion? I would want to hear more advices and suggestions.
Also, I assume that will work even with replication. All I need to update is the master server, and the slaves will replicate automatically.
Thank you very much! :)Demo: I'm using the nul character to represent the end of the word, so that the data structure can represent that "hell" and "hello" are both in the vocabulary:
import java.util.*;
class Node {
private SortedMap<Character, Node> children = new TreeMap<Character, Node>();
//0 <= index <= word.length()
private void add(String word, int index) {
if (index == word.length()) {
children.put(Character.valueOf('\u0000'), null);
} else {
char ch = word.charAt(index);
Node child = children.get(ch);
if (child == null) {
children.put(ch, child = new Node());
child.add(word, index+1);
public void add(String word) {
if (word == null || word.length()==0)
throw new IllegalArgumentException();
add(word, 0);
public String toString() {
return children.toString();
public class Example {
public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception {
Node root = new Node();
root.add("hello");
root.add("how");
root.add("who");
root.add("hell");
System.out.println(root.toString());

Where Can I Buy A Custom MacBook?
Hi, does anyone know where I can get a custom MacBook? I am hoping for a new MacBook Pro for Christmas, but where can I buy a MacBook with the certain specs that I want? So I want a 15-inch MacBook Pro with a really good graphics card. But no place seems to have that specific computer! Best Buy has like 10 Macs to pick from; "Oh, I think the only MacBook Pro we have in stock has 4GB RAM, and a 256MB of graphics." I never can get what I want! and the Apple website only has certain options. It's like if I'm not satisfied with what they have right now, then I don't get a computer. Does anyone know where to get it? Please respond! Thanks!

True. To get new 15" non retina you have to buy close out from the refurbished or old stock from Apple products distributors ex Best Buy. -
Problem Managing Custom Paper Size Using Epson RX500
Since updating my Mac to the latest version Yosemite, when I now try to Manage Custom Paper Size in the Epson print box via my Photoshop Elements 11, Photoshop crashes. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so have you found a solution please?
Hello Bridge. Thanks for the reply. I am not sure where the Elements Print dialogue is but, having come back to answer, I can see the "More like this" box on the right and viewing those posts confirms what you say. It would appear from one of the posts that Apple is aware of the problem and may be working on it. However, one of the posts opposite suggested using Print Preview to set the custom print size and print from there. I found this works for me. So, thanks again for your consideration. Regards. Brian.
