Where is my Album?

I recently just bought an album using iTunes on my iPhone 3G. When I Tried to look for it, it wasn't on my Recently Purchased. I also tried buying it again but it said that I have bought this album and it gave me an option to buy it again. So what do I do?

of course it cant. that would require Verizon to simplify things (which should absolutely be done anyway) i get to screw myself out of two productive days navigating myself on this website first to activate another phone and now trying to figure out how or y my pictures on my microSD card (previously available on my EnV3) dont seem to be available on my Octane. Nevermind the fact that they are way to similar for me not to be able to get at them. side note: was able to pull up my music files in new device so it cantd be the card or connection. remember the good old days of cds? you could share music, listen to them on ANY cd player device portable or otherwise. i mean i know that technology wasnt as clear and was bulky but come on???? should not a external data device (msd) be able to plug into another phone and become content available??? Im not uneducated or without common sense such as the technician referred to above but its really all kinda backwards and if everything is so tech based shouldn't we b able to at least have a navigational webpage?? come on verizon, ive been w you forever but youve gotten a lil to big for ur britches. customer service?

I previously had Albums in iCloud via iPhoto, now only my photostream shows up, where did my albums go??

Within the last few months I when I would click on iCloud in iPhoto the first screen would show folders for the photostream and then all my albums I had stored there including a folder full of videos of my children, now when I click on iCloud all that shows up is the photostream, where did my albums go??

You may have to open Mail, go to the upper left corner of the screen and click on the word Mail, open Preferences, click on Accounts, and make sure your Gmail account is still fully set up properly with all proper account and incoming and outgoing Mail Servers properly completed. When you added iCloud capability it may have upset the account settings for Gmail.

You don't.
To remove a photo from your iPad that is located in a photo album on your computer selected to be transferred to your iPad under the Photos tab for your iPad sync preferences with iTunes, the only way to remove the photo from your iPad is by removing if from the album on your computer followed by a sync.

The album cover art should show on the album in the Music part of your library. For other pictures and/or notes, does the album description page in the store say that it's an iTunes LP (does it have an LP label against it in the store) ? If not then you will just get the tracks.

How can I find where a track/album is listed in my playlists?

Going through my CDs to see which ones I've imported into iTunes. Did a search for one album name, and found it in the Library, which of course dumps all tracks into one big container. I believe I have a playlist for this album somewhere, but I don't know where it is in my many playlist folders. Is there some way to find out where a track is included in a playlist or playlists, without manually going through every folder?

Never mind; I found it in iTunes Help: control-click for a contextual menu, and it'll show the playlist(s) the item is in.

Album artwork isn't showing up in album view (where all the albums are) but IS showing up when you drill into the specific album.

Nope, that doesn't work. First, I manually manage the music, but even deleting and using auto-fill, doesn't put all the album art in place even though it is all on the songs in iTunes. Even copying and pasting from iTunes to the iPhone does not get the artwork to show up, despite the fact it shows up in "Info" on the iPhone in iTunes. Plus there seems no rhymn nor reason as to the missing artwork, some ripped songs have it, some purchased songs do not. Bizarre! But I've run across this problem every since time I've restored an iPhone and had to redo the music separately, however, previously I could manually drop and drag the song over after the auto-fill to replace (after deleting on the iPhone) and the artwork would show up. Not this time however. This is one of those details I find extremely annoying!

Where is my album cover art?

I've been using iTunes for years. I've used it to manage the large CD collection that I had before the creaton of the iTunes store. My collection now contains CD's that were purchased after the store opened.
In earlier years, the cover artwork for my CD's for the most part was supplied by Apple. I also used All Music and Amazon in cases where Apple did not have what I needed.
I've just installed version 11.1.2 of iTunes. I've discovered - again - that many of the album artworks that I had before the uprade have disappeared. I suspect that is because the album is no longer available in the iTunes store. I can understand that - if the album is being purchased now. But why does Apple strip from iTunes the artwork that I had BEFORE the upgrade? That doesn't seem fair.
There is another issue that is a part of this topic. Earlier versions of iTunes had an option whereby I could search for album artwork through the iTunes software. That seems to have disappeared. Why? Must I now go through the laborious process of locating album cover art on my own, CD by CD, even though I had the art before the software upgrade?
This is really annoying. Over and above the unfairness of it all.

When album art is downloaded, it is stored locally, The iTunes store has nothing to do with it after that. It will appear even if you disconnect from the Internet altogether.
Aside from that I have no idea why some artwork disappeared.

Where's Display Album Artwork option? It's missing

I've read the document, I know where it's supposed to be...but it's not there.
My friend is having issues with her iPod Touch displaying incorrect artwork on her iPod, even though it shows correctly in iTunes. I told her to unsync the artwork then resync it. We connected her iPod, selected it under Devices, clicked on the Music tab....but the option to Display Album Artwork on iPod just isn't there.
Any ideas? She's running 7.5 on a G5.

There is no option for the ipod touch to not sync artwork, it just does, you can't turn it on or off. If you are having problems with artwork mismatched, the thing to do is to turn off music syncing all together, sync the ipod, so all the music is erased from it. Then turn music syncing back on and let it resync. Make sure you have your music still in itunes or backed up before you erase it from the ipod, it will erase it.

Where is the album artwork when you store songs in an external harddrive?

I have all my songs on an external flash drive but I have the I-tunes program on the C drive of my windows laptop.
In I-tunes I pointed the storage to the E drive and it all works fine.
But there is one wrinkle. It looks as if some of the album artwork is still stored on the C drive and NOT in the I-tunes folder in the E drive.
I know this becasue when I hit "add folder" and added the entire contents of my I-tunes folder on the E drive I:
1 got all my songs - no problem
2 encountered a delay as the program told me it was finding artwork for about a third of my songs.
It looks like the E drive has artwork for all the albums to which I manually added artwork. But it does not have the artwork for songs where the artwork came from the advanced / get album artwork function.
Weird eh? Any thoughts?

I hope things are becoming a bit clearer. There is always a bit of a learning curve with any new software but keep persevering.
Try This:
Create a new album by clicking the plus sign in the album panel and give it a name.
On the top tool bar select File>>Get Photos & video>>From Files & Folders
Then browse on your computer for the folder you want and choose the photos to bring into Organizer.
The photos will appear in a separate import window in Organizer.
Press Ctr+A to select all of them and now drag the new album icon from the left panel on to one of the photo thumbnails.
All the selected photos you imported into Organizer will then be put into the new album and you will see the album icon appear on all of those thumbnails.
Organizer will always show all of the photos you bring in; so if you put 50 photos in Album #1 and 50 photos in album #2 Organizer will show 100 thumbnails when you click the “Show All” button or open up elements again. But by clicking on any album button on the right panel it will display only the photos you put in each separate album.
If you wish to see a list of where your photos are, change the display criteria in Organizer from thumbnail view, to folder view and it will show those folders you have linked to Organizer.
Once you have created albums you can make web galleries using the available Flash templates and share them using the free bandwidth on Photshop.com, available to users of Elements 8 (& 7 I think).

Any idea where artwork for albums is stored, please?

Does anyone know where the latest version of iTunes stores artwork for albums.
I am running it under 64bit Windows 7.
I know I a bit thick today but that's because I have been working all night. I just can't see where the artwork is being stored.

The Album Artwork folder should be inside your iTunes library folder. It breaks down into Cache (cache of embedded images), iCloud Purchases (images for purchases not on your computer) and Download (store art that hasn't been embedded). The next level identifies the library (you can store multiple parallel .itl files in the iTunes folder, but I wouldn't). Below that is a hash table structure of nested folders. The art itself is stored in iTunes' custom .itc2 files.

Where did this album artwork come from???????

Recently I sync'd my iPod (5G) and iTunes added an album cover to all my songs in the Rock genre. All my albums in the rock genre now have the same artwork on my iPod. However on my iTunes, the album artwork is correct for each bands individual album and there is only one album cover in each songs information file. How did this happen? This is the first time this has ever happened. There are even a couple of random albums I bought on iTunes where the album cover art was placed on some bands album art which have not been changed in a year, but on iTunes the correct album cover is the one shown on my computer screen. Am I making any sense? Can you guys help me??

This is really annoying as I can only access songs through my playlists or through Artist, I can';t go on there and search for an album.

Where is the Album Artwork saved that iTunes doesn't automatically download

I recently downloaded iTunes 7 and I love it's ability to show the album/CD art. Some of my CD's art was available on the iTunes store which the program downloaded automatically but the majority of it I had to find manually online. (Just FYI, Amazon Album Art is a fabulous widget to help with this, <www.widget-foundry.com/widgets/amazonart.htm>) Hours and hours later (large MP3 collection) I'm done. Now, as I have the same music library library on my office computer I want to have the art there as well. I copied the Album Artwork folder from my Home>Music>iTunes folder onto the office computer and launched iTunes but the only artwork visible was the artwork that the iTunes program had automatically downloaded. Where is the artwork that I painstakingly copied/pasted into the iTunes at home? Is it kept somewhere other than the Album Artwork folder?

Artwork that you manually add in the manner you describe is embedded inside the music files themselves (i.e. inside the mp3 files are you using).
Therefore if you use those same mp3 files on another computer the artwork will instantly be available.
Power iTunes users [including myself] prefer this approach [embedding artwork] for exactly this reason. I have therefore taken any artwork iTunes 7 downloaded itself and forced it to embed it in to my music.
I also have a suspicion that simply copying the [downloaded] artwork folder to another computer would probably not work since it appears it is using reference numbers in the file names which would be different on a different computer.

Where's the Album Art?

When I buy an album from iTunes, the first thing I do is burn a back-up CD in case my hard drive or iPOD crashes one day. Where can I find the album art for the CD I purchased? I can't seem to find it on my hard drive. I can usually find a decent quality photo of the front of the album on the web, but I'm looking for the track listing and liner notes as well.
If Apple doesn't provide this with my purchase (though I think I'm entitled to it), does anyone have any suggestions for finding this info and making a "complete" CD jacket for the album?

There are several folders named "Album Artwork" on my machine. The one that is in my default iTunes folder (where the music files went) contains only a folder named "Local" which is completely empty. I found the one you referenced in My Music and it also contains the "Local" folder. Inside this one is a bunch of other folders that are all named with numbers. Inside those folders is a file named with a long string of numbers and letters and ends in .itc, but this file cannot be opened by any program on my machine.
Any other ideas? What are the files called that I should be looking for (maybe I can find them in some other directory).

Where did the album art display go?

In iTunes 10.6 for Windows, the album art display in the Library column is gone. I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to put it back. For clarity's sake, I'm talking about the thumbnail at the bottom left corner, right under Playlists – the one that shows 'now-playing' album art or videos. What (hopefully simple) procedure am I missing, or otherwise doing wrong?
