My face time icon is no longer on my home page. How do I retrieve it?

Have you checked all your homescreens and app folders for it, and you havn't hidden it via Settings > General > Restrictions ? If you can't find it and it's not hidden then you could try a reset by pressing and holding both the sleep and home buttons for 10 to 15 seconds until the Apple logo appears and seeing if then appears. Or doing Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout which will reset the location of your app icons and may help you find it.

There is no Facetime icon. You can Facetime somebody by going to their entry in your Contact Book, scrolling to the bottom, and selecting "Facetime".

A computer USB port does not provide enough power to charge and run the iPad at the same time but it will charge it if the iPad is turned off. It will take about four times as long to charge than with the iPad charger.
The Contacts icon may be inside a folder, such as Utilities.
There is no Facetime icon. Start a Facetime link from a contact.

There is only a FaceTime Icon on iPad and iPod touch (and of course Mac), because those have no Telephone App. Since FaceTime is considered part of the telephone function on the iPhone, you can find it in the Telefphone App (or as roaminggnome already said, in the Contacts App).
So from the Telephone App, you pretty much do what's already been said (Contacts, select the person you want to call, on the bottom of the page there's options like Message, Email, FaceTime. This is what you have to tap).
You can also put contacts on the favorites list of the Phone App (pick either phone or FaceTime) so you have direct access, or you can tell Siri to make a FaceTime call with the person you want to talk to.

First question where ae you located? If you're in the Middle East or UAE, factime has been restricted by the government.

hello, i bought an iPhone 4s and when i open it and start using i opened settings to activate facetime but i didn't found facetime icon ! i have been notified about this problem in this article that its not allowed in sudia arabia where i bought it , but after one month i bought 3 iphone devices 4s and all have facetime.
how could it be ? and how could i fix it ?!

Ok , so i bought this iphone 4 from dubai along with ipod touch 4g . Then i activated both of them through itunes in India . My brother ipod 4g have the option of facetime while my iphone does not show facetime icon or facetime turn on/off option under settings > Phone .

Welcome to the Apple Discussion Forum.
You're having problems with your iPhone 4 - can you tell me which iOS version you have on there? The current one is iOS 4.2.1. You can check by going to your iPhone's main screen and following these directions:
main screen>settings>general>about> then scroll down to "version" what does it say?
This could be the reason. The FaceTime function is part of the iOS 4.2.1 operating system so regardless of where you bought your iPhone it should work.
When making a call the FaceTime option should be on the call screen once you connect. Alternatively you can initiate a FaceTime call from your contacts. Open up the details of a fellow iPhone 4 owner through your contacts, scroll to the bottom and you will have some choices: the one I am looking at has Text Message, FaceTime, Share Contact and Add to Favorites. Click the FaceTime option and then select the method of contact i.e. email address or mobile/cell phone.
This option above again will require the latest version of iOS 4+

I really hope you're getting paid to haunt these forums. Did you forget the part where you're simply a fanboy and I am an expert in User Experience, Interface Design, and usability? Look kid, you lost this one, but don't give up OK? Everyone can see above how devoted you are to Apple. We get it. It's just a company that makes gadgets. This latest one is a kinda cool, but... a bit disappointing in several aspects. This is one of them. They really blew it here. It can only be classified as "Epic Fail". Get over it. They'll fix it in the next update.

There is no FaceTime app for the iPhone. FaceTime, on an iPhone, is accessed through the Contacts app. You tap the FaceTime ico to make a FaceTime call. Is FaceTime turned on/activated: Settings>FaceTime>On. Do you have that Setting? If you don't have that Setting, where did you get your phone? In a few countries FaceTime is banned, and if you obtained your phone from one of these countries, you won't have that Setting, & there is no way to add FaceTime to your phone.
