Where is my iPhone 6 Plus????????

What the hell is going on? I  ordered it when it became available and I was told a ship date of October.
NOTHING APPEARS ON MY "MY ORDERS" !!!!!  NOTHING?!!!!!
I spoke with Samantha G in support and she tells me a date of November 4th. Or it could be November 7th. What GIVES????? You were quick enough to change my plan because my unlimited plan was somehow not supported with the device change. Like you're actually going to make more money from me and I won't notice???! Ludicrous.
There was NO NOTIFICATION or this delay. The website is practically unnavigable! There is NO INFORMATION ON MY PAGE ABOUT THIS ORDER and as far as I'm concerned this is just one big scam.
Where the hell is my phone? WHY WAS THERE NO UPDATE AS TO DELAYS?????? I RECEIVED NOTHING!!!!!

I TOTALLY feel your pain. I have a doozy of a back story: 
TL; DR:  THREE failed orders (one in-store, two online) and no explanation as to canceled orders and ship dates pushed back.
1.) Ordered my iPhone 6 9/23, which was to ship 10/1. 10/1, receive an email saying order is on hold.
2.) 10/14, go IN STORE to SCV store, cancel on hold order after TWO WEEKS OF WAITING on a pending order. Placed NEW ORDER for iPhone 6 Plus, in store order received and given est. ship date 10/31.
3.) 10/23 Receive an email saying that the SECOND ORDER has now been placed on hold, no explanation other than somehow they were missing information (that was supposed to be filled out by the agent in-store). No fault of my own, I phone the online sales/order department. They state that the previous order is on hold and they don't know exactly why. The only way to rectify was to enter a NEW (**THIRD**) order using their online order department.
SPENT 90 MINUTES with two agents on the line to enter this order AGAIN. They assure me that the new order will ship 10/31.
4.) Two days later (10/25) Receive "Pre-order confirmation" for this THIRD ORDER, stating pending ship date of 11/14, NOT 10/31.  I phone in to the online phone sales. They assure me that, even though the "system generated email" says 11/14, that THEY manually entered a note to hold the phone shipments coming in on 10/31, and that they will get my phone shipped on the 31st.
5.) November 1st: NO shipment on the THIRD TIME ORDERING THIS PHONE, no notification, no update. I phone the customer service line today and speak with their service department, who "again" phones the online order department. After a while on hold, the agent comes back and tells me that they have no record of a 10/31 hold or manual override. That I have no recourse but to wait until 11/14.  That now the order is being held up apparently because of "APPLE'S back order issue," NOT Verizon's lack of follow-through.  I'm told I have no other option but to WAIT AGAIN until 11/14, for an "order shipped," confirmation.
I PAY $500 Per Month to do business with your company.  I deserve to be told FACTS, WHEN THEY COME UP. I feel so abused by their service department, who seem to just be good at PASSING THE ****** BUCK!!! At this point, I have to wait EIGHT WEEKS for my **** phone, that is, unless ANOTHER DELAY that no one can explain or take accountability for, makes this latest "pending order" A FRICKIN' JOKE, LIKE THE LAST THREE FAILED ORDERS.
PLEASE VERIZON, GET YOUR SH*T TOGETHER.

    Sorry to say but the only way too ensure you're getting a genuine Apple screen is by buying a new phone or by paying the out-of-warranty cost for a replacement ($329 USD). I've seen some selling LCD assemblies for more than that.

    FIRST, call your carrier and ask if they have a local network outage. Also try moving a few miles from your current location to see if you have coverage elsewhere. Next, contact your carrier and get a replacement SIM. If that doesn't fix it take it to an Apple store for evaluation. If it is defective they will replace it.

    I want to buy iPhone 6 plus (factory unlocked) since I am an international student and might return to the UAE by 2016. I should be able to use my phone in the UAE as well with my local SIM card.
    My options are:
    T-mobile version on Apple.com (almost everyone on all the Apple forums has confirmed that it is unlocked). However, I stumbled upon the following article and got confused:

    Since I'm not a techie, I wanted to know does this mean there is some defect in the device itself or it is carrier related?     One of the Verizon representatives confirmed that the phone will be locked for a year to Verizon (ALLSET plan is the one I want to go ahead with and they said I can) and then I can request for it to be unlocked. I will definitely be here in the US for at least another year. So even if I return to Dubai after that, the device should be unlocked so that I can use it there with my local SIM card. I have confirmed with them that it is a GSM device. However, when I spoke to another representative, he told me that it is factory unlocked and I got confused because two different representatives from the same company are giving me two different answers.
    I can wait for iPhone to release the unlocked version of the phone but their representatives are not too optimistic about the date so I am very confused at this point and would appreciate any help.

    Only T-Mobile sells them. But you cannot unlock it until you have used the T-Mobile service for at least 40 days. The phone may be off-contract, but it is not unlocked. Don't expect one from Apple until next year sometime, maybe.

  • Where is this magical iPhone 6 Plus battery life?

    iPhone 6 Plus users, are you getting the great battery life that most reviewers and reporters are describing with the iPhone 6 plus? I've had mine for two weeks, and while I wouldn't say the battery life is bad exactly, it hasn't been the stellar improvement overall compared to my old iPhone 5 that reports have led me to expect. Many people seem to indicate you can go a day and a half or two days with moderate usage without recharging, and I am lucky to make it to the end of the day and not get a low battery warning.
    I've fiddled with settings (background app refresh, push e-mail, deleting Facebook app altogether, turning off Pebble/bluetooth, etc.) and while it may make some difference around the edges, I'm certainly not finding that I have more than 50% battery left at the end of a day of standard usage, like some people are saying. My usage isn't light, but it certainly isn't heavy, either. I'm not watching a lot of video or playing many video games or anything during the work day. I'm probably actively looking at the screen for maybe a total of 3 hours a day.
    Are my expectations too high? Do I have a substandard battery? I am willing to change settings, but at the same time, a great part of the appeal of the 6 plus for me was not having to do that battery dance all the time. Any ideas?

    my iphone 6 plus is by far the absolute worst battery life of any phone i've ever owned. I brought my phone into apple store genius bar and showed them like 50 screen shots of my battery usage screen saying i lost like 50% over the course of a few hours of extremely light use. They basically told me "our battery diagnostic app says yur battery is fine... go away.'
    I've tried that let it die down to zero percent and then recharge thing like twice. It does nothing. Apple refuses to acknowledge that my iphone6 plus has a garbage battery. I do not trust their battery diagnostics test as far as i can throw this 1000 dollar paperweight and that is basically what this phone has been since the second i owned it,
    THis is NOT A TROLL post. I am a 100% genuine iphone 6 plus owner who truly is unsatisfied with my purchase.  This is truly 100% without a shadow of a doubt the worst battery ive ever seen on any smartphone ever and at the same time i acknowledge that there exists ip6+s with great battery life. There has to be some super dodgey stuff going on like there are just tooooo many bad batches or something. Maybe my phone was part of some rushed batch to make it in time for christmas and they were careless n heavy handed at the factory something i dunno but what i do know is my iphone 6 plus has absolutely dismal, pathetic and downright makes the phone unusable when i am out and about due to battery anxiety.
    There are way too many posts of people saying their ip6 battery is bad while other posts saying it's good. It's starting to become apparent that the iphone 6 is just extremely inconsistent and quite frankly not worth the risk really. You could get lucky n get a good 1 but you could very well get 1 like i have that literally died down from a full 100% charge down to fully dead in less than a half a day from literally zero use whatsoever. it just sat there sleeping. I didn't use it during this. It was a test to see how long it would take to die and it failed this test miserably and yet apple's useless little battery diagnostic over at genius says my battery is just fine n dandy... yeah right. Its crap. The genius dood who was totally cool n he's just doing his job/ protocol or whatever no knock to him but he just pointed me to some battery conversation tip link on apple's website and sent me on my way. I showed him screenshot after screenshot showing extremely poor battery life math and he just wasn't interested in hearing of any of it cause his all knowing battery diagnostic thingy infront of him is some all knowing crystal ball says my battery is fine and that's the end of it and the piles of screenshots i have saying my battery is dying 10 times faster than your are claiming while i had no background apps or anything whatsoever running don't mean a thing.
    I want my money back apple . Your product does not perform as advertised.

  • How can I transfer pictures from my PC to my iPhone 6 plus?

    There are some times I need some pictures from my PC onto my iPhone 6 plus. How can I do that without syncing or anything like that? I know dropbox, etc., will do it but I would like to avoid opening a lot of pictures and saving each one to the photo library.

    I have discover myself that it is quite easy to transfer pictures from iphone to computer with the usb cable that comes with the phone. There are apps and one that works to do this using my wifi but this gets a bit iffy when pictures start to climb above 12,000 or so.  I did something I read a combination of articles on Apple and Microsoft to do. Turn iPhone on and plug into usb of computer.  The first thing that happen sis a question asking if you trust this computer and you must answer yes. Next you will see Windows install the drivers for the phone on first use. This usually goes smoothly but if it doesn't, before trying to get them manually through Windows Update or device manager, unplug and try plugging the iPhone in once again. You may even have to unplug other devices plugged into a usb plug.  Give it a few tries if necessary and it will almost always install the drivers properly. If not, there is a  lot of information here at Apple about what steps to take next,  Then the Windows dialog box asking what you want to do with the photos on the device opens up and you have choices. Select the import pictures using Windows and they will al be imported easily and you get a chance to tag them and more at this point.  It really has become no different than  connecting any other usb device and works automatically almost  My next question is how do I seek and find where all my other files are hidden such as text messages so I could selectively restore some or even some other files that are stuck with the app that created them due to a lack of real options about using the files after creating them.

  • IPhone 6 Plus 64GB (iOS 8.1 or 8.1.1) springboard crashes repeatedly when making phone calls via Continuity on Macbook Pro Retina Mid 2014 using Yosemite 10.10.1

    I USED TO be able to make phone calls using continuity on my MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) with Yosemite (10.10) via my iPhone 6 Plus on iOS 8.1 without any problems.  Once I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, my iPhone's springboard would continually crash where it brings up the Apple logo and quickly restarts repeatedly until I end the call.  Just so that you know, I am able to stay on the call while this is occurring the whole time. 
    I need to reiterate, this all started happening as soon as I updated Yosemite to 10.10.1 while still on iOS 8.1.  I know this because I made a few phone calls (loving the feature), updated Yosemite to 10.10.1, then made a few phone calls afterwards, and this started happening. 
    When iOS 8.1.1 came out, I eagerly updated hoping this issue would go away, and it did not.  I'm hoping Apple notices this post.  If anyone else has this problem, please contact Apple and chime in this post as well.  Thank you Apple for incorporating continuity calling. I love this feature, but need to use it without my phone's springboard constantly crashing.

    I have this issue as well. I am using an iPhone 6 plus, iPad Air 2, 5K iMac, and MacBook Pro. When I make a continuity calls from any device, the springboard crashes. This only happens with outgoing calls, incoming calls are functioning normal. I am currently working with multiple Apple Senior Advisors, and they are working directly with iOS a engineers. I have an active open case and will update this thread when a resolution is found.
    Just a tip for everyone with this issue, restoring your devices and setting them up as new WILL NOT correct this issue. Save yourself the hassle. I did this with my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook and the issue still persists.

    I bought a iPhone 6 plus on launch day. I noticed something immediately and that was that the screen, even on full brightness, wasn't displaying whites as nicely as the phones on display in the apple store. The apple store iPhone 6 pluses on display display bright, vivid whites (let's say when your on google.com) but my phone looked slightly more dimmed and shaded out. The difference is slight, but when you compare, you notice it immediately and have had apple employees notice this before I even compared them the phones side by side.
    I ended up having the apple store open a few phones for me to replace and they were WORSE (they opened 5 phones). I ended up returning the phone and getting a new one only to have the same issue. I just don't understand why the iPhone 6 pluses on display have screens that show whites and nice and bright, where as my screens are dimmer and more 'shaded out'.
    I promise you, if you have an iPhone 6 plus go to the apple store and do the comparison. Unless your lucky, it'll be there. This isn't a yellow screen, or uniform brightness issue, the screen just looks shaded even on full brightness making whites look more 'grey' than the way they are displayed on the 6 pluses in the store. All the setting are perfect this isn't the issue. The issue is the screen itself. I just wanted to know if I was the only one.

    I feel your pain! I have the same problem with my new iPhone 6. My iPhone 5s has cooler/brighter whites, but my iPhone 6 with a supposedly better screen shows them warmer/duller. I stopped at two T-Mobile stores this morning to compare my phone with their display models, and in both cases my phone look dull and drab. Because of the warmer whites, text has less contrast and therefor looks blurrier, too. I was considering going to an Apple Store to see if they could exchange the phone, but as you've demonstrated there's no guaranty that you'll get a better phone. After spending $850 on what I thought was a phone with a bigger, better display, I now wish I'd just stayed happy with my 5s or even considered switching back to an Android phone.

    I pre-ordered my iPhone 6 Plus (64GB Space Gray) on Sept 12th as early as I could (at 4:30 A.M. through the apple store app on my iPhone 5). I tried to order it earlier, but as many of us know the Apple store online was down. I was so very disappointed. During the checkout time, my estimated delivery was Oct 1 - Oct 6 and it would be available to ship in 7-10 business days. My email confirmation stated the same thing.
    This is also my first time I have ever pre-ordered an iPhone. My current phone is in pretty bad shape. The menu button popped off a couple weeks ago (it's currently being held on with scotch tape...lmao) and my screen freezes up all the time. I'm lucky if I can answer phone calls. Its not reliable at all to say the least. I have been trying to hold out for the new iPhone 6.
    I have been checking my order status relentlessly since I pre-ordered and of course, it still says "Processing Items", with the same estimated delivery date and shipping time. I'm am desperately hoping it arrives earlier than October 1st - October 6th?!
    Do any of you know if I will ONLY be getting my phone during Oct 1 - Oct 6 or do I have a chance of getting it earlier?

         Oct 1 - Oct 6 is usually conservative.  You will probably get it sooner.  You'll get another email when it ships.
    Does anyone know where all they usually ship from?
         Pre-orders were shipped from China for the same reason they are built over there cheap labor.  Apple will probably continue this until all early orders are filled.
    Do they usually ship via Fedex or UPS?
         Again pre-orders came UPS. No idea if they will continue to use them only.

  • IPhone 6 plus won't receive messages!

    I have an iPhone 6 plus, and for the last 2 weeks I've been having messaging problems with both iMessage and SMS. With some people, mainly those with Android phones, I wouldn't receive their texts at all! They would get mine but I wouldn't get a reply. I went DAYS without getting any messages from them. I have gone to T-Mobile 4 times, they reset my phone to factory settings, gave me a new sim card, reset the network settings, and then replaced my phone... For a few days, the messages were working fine. Tonight, I had to wait 20 minutes for a picture message to be sent to my boyfriend, who has a Galaxy S5 - a few days ago, it would send with no problem (I literally didn't have to wait more than 30 seconds for the picture to send). My friend just called me to ask if I had received any of her iMessages from today - I had not. Another friend has been trying to send me picture messages for days - they say "delivered" but do I see them? NO. I was having the same issue with my previous 6 plus, which is why they gave me a replacement, and look what's happened! More messaging issues. This is getting ridiculous. I NEVER had messaging issues on my iPhone 5s. NEVER. And to make matters worse, I was getting 4 bars of service on my last 6 plus, but this replacement is only getting 1 or 2 (if I'm lucky) NO MATTER WHERE I AM IN THE HOUSE. I have called T-Mobile customer service multiple times and they keep saying it's a hardware issue. Really? On both phones? Great.
    Does anyone else have these issues? Is there some magic spell I can do that will fix these messaging problems? Or should I just go back to my 5s?

    Start with soft reset then reset network settings and a possible Sim card reseat. Careful they pop out when using an earring or paperclip to remove.

    I received my new iPhone yesterday , I synced my "old" iPhone 4s to iTunes , then proceeded to transfer the data to my new iPhone 6 plus. Game Center transferred fine , however when I open a game app , it's starts me, as if I just downloaded the app for the first time.
    How do I get my apps to acknowledge game center, and take me back to the games where I left off on my old phone ?
    The only thing I like about the iPhone 6 plus so far, is ,  it's easier to read text , and the slow motion camera.  
    The Bad : lot's of apps still don't function properly and / or don't work on the iPhone 6 Plus

    I solved this through a suggestion for another question.  I leave my iMac on all the time and generally put it in sleep mode at nights.  I restarted my computer and that seemed to solve the problem.  No idea what caused the hangup but a reboot seemed to solve it.
