Where is my missing toolbar with - file, edit, view, history, bookmarks, tools & help. Where has it gone and how do I get it back?
I am missing the tool bar which goes directly underneath the blue Mozilla/Firefox banner. My other tool bar remains unchanged eg. back/forward buttons, refresh page button, etc. are still there and work normally. Where are my bookmarks and how do I get them back?
With Firefox 3.6.2 you are a few versions behind on updates. You should update to the latest Firefox version via Help > Check for updates.

I am missing following tabs in my browser: File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, Help. I tried to reinstall Firefox, but it was not helpful. How do I get those tabs back?

Near the top of the screen on the left side, the words "File, Edit, View, History, Bookmarks, Tools, help" does not appear consistently. Sometimes if I hit "alt" they will appear. I would like to keep those words to appear constantly. Let me know what I can do. Thanks

Why does the fire fox page change, sometimes it is just an orange fire fox button on the top left that opens a panel with all the things listed in it and then it sometimes has a bar across the top that says File, Edit, View, History, bookmarks, tools, Help? I barely get used to using one type of set up and then it changes to the other without me doing anything??

Since last week i Have the version 7.0.1 and its in english. How can i get it in German? I mean "File, Edit etc."
To have the Firefox interface including all menus and built-in features in a different language you need to simply install the different localized version. Note that you will not lose any of your data by simply reinstalling Firefox. You can download Firefox in any supported language here:

The links are there. I can click on them. I'm just can not see what I'm clicking on. The info on the tabs comes back but only when I click on that tab. rebooting every 24 hours fixes the problem temporarily.
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

How do I restore it?View webpages in full screen
In many applications on the Mac, including Safari, you can expand the window to fill your entire screen. You can make a webpage full-screen with one click, and switch to another webpage (or full-screen window in another application) with a swipe of the trackpad.
IMPORTANT:Viewing in full screen, and the Mission Control feature, are available only if you have Mac OS X v10.7 Lion or later. For information on upgrading Mac OS X, go to the Mac OS X website.
OS X website
To enlarge a webpage so it uses the screen, click the arrows in the top-right corner of an application window:
To move from one window to another in full screen view, swipe left and right, or press the arrow keys on your keyboard.
To return to standard view, click the arrows in the window’s upper-right corner:
If you prefer viewing webpages in full screen, Mission Control lets you see everything running on your Mac, including your full screen windows. Mission Control presents your full screen windows as thumbnail images, making it easy for you to move from one to another. -

I am running Mac os 10.6.8 and Firefox 6.0.1 on a MacBook Pro and on a desktop Macintosh.
The large computer displays a list of bookmarks when you click on the uppermost Bookmarks menu.
The MacBook Pro displays the following when you click on the Bookmarks word in the top menu:
"Show all Bookmarks, Bookmark this Page, Bookmark all Tabs and an icon with a blue dot next to Bookmarks Toolbar with an arrow to the right and below that it says Unsorted Bookmarks.
There is no display of the list of bookmarks from which I can chose as I do on the larger desktop macintosh computer.
How can I get the list of bookmarks to show as a list when I click the Bookmarks menu?A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

You can also try to move (delete) the Firefox plist file.<br />
See [http://www.macfixit.com/article.php?story=20060606082246983 How .plist files become corrupt and troubleshooting the results]
Go to "Library > Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist). -
Any quick easy solution for this? Thanks. Ken
Quit all applications. Click on an empty spot on the desktop to activate Finder.
Hold the “Option” key down and click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
Select “Library” from the drop down.
Look for this file.
Library > Preferences > com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
Right click it and select "Move to Trash". Close Finder window.
Restart. Launch Safari.
Hope you do not have MacKeeper installed.
