Where is my reading list since ios6 update?

It has disappeared from safari. I can save to it but it no longer comes up with bookmarks for me to access it. Help.

On iOS 6 you should have tabs on the bottom of the bookmark list, for bookmarks, history and reading list - do the reading list items not appear in the readng list tab ?

I have the same problem as do many others. Neither my iPhone 3 or 4 work since upgrading to ios6.
All Windows based devices work fine it is just a problem with ios6, I think Apple are working on this.
Was about to buy a mac laptop but now gone back to PC.
I think all we can do is make a fuss to Apple to hurry them along.

Where is the "reading list" icon in Safari 8.0.4? I need to put it in my menu bar but I can't seem to find it in "Customise toolbar" or "Prefs"

OK, your are looking for "Add to Reading List" button.
It is available by default but hidden.
Move the mouse pointer to the very left in the Safari address bar, a "+" sign in a circle will appear.
Click it to add an item to Reading list.

Tap on the Bookmarks icon in Safari. Then tap on the Eyeglasses icon in the bottom right corner of the bookmarks window. Is your Reading List in there?

4s STILL not connecting to home wifi since ios6 update

My wife and I both have the 4s. We have not been able to use our home wifi since the ios6 update in Sept'12.
Our macbook, ipad, and tivo all connect just fine. Our 4s's work fine on any other wifi we need - just not the same dlink router dir-615 we've been using for years.
I've reset my phone, i've reset the router, i'm on WPA/WPA2. We're able to use wifi on the 4s for apps and google for about 2 minutes (this is when i assume everyone says "yey! it's fixed") only then stops working, but still shows we're connected to wifi.
Apple blames the router (some threads speak of apple router's not even working)
Dlink blames the iphone software (i've read even brand new iphones still don't work)
Verizon doesn't care because neither of the products are theirs and i'm using more of my data plan - so they win.
i'm growing increasingly embarassed to be "all apple" when i see the thousands of others with the same problem - and NO HELP from Apple. We're basically on our own here - when we used to be able to rely on the company for expert solutions.
I need a solution that is simple. I want a solution that's easy for guests to use my wifi with out taking their phone apart, rewiring it, hooking it up to my car battery, deciphering 4 different codes, and taking an online course at MIT. I just want to use my password and get on my wifi.

i checked for updated firmware on the d'link dir-615 router back in september when this first happened (after the ios6 update) but the firmware was already up to date - although the last update was 2009.
This was my first clue.
After further research, I discovered that all DIR series products have been discontinued by D'Link. This means that when apple is preparing for a software update, it requests all software/hardware specs from wifi router companies like D'Link, Netgear, Garmin, Cysco, etc. Since D'LInk no longer produces DIR series routers, they did not provide the info. D'Link only provided info for it's newest line of wireless routers.
Leaving all existing DIR users in the dust, with a failed strategy that we'd all buy the new line of wifi routers.
Yesterday, I purchased an Apple wifi router, although pricey at $99, i plugged it in, typed the network name and pw want to use, and it was up and running in less than 5 minutes. The apple router will recieve software/firmware updates just as my iphone, macbook, & ipad does. Everything is working perfectly, and the higher price is worth the convenience and reliability.
If anyone makes it this far, the only thing left would be to check with your internet service provider (comcast, RCN, etc) and make sure you have the most up to date modem. some folks are unable to send text & pic messages on wifi using an out of date modem. (i didn't have to replace mine, but i'm also not having this issue now that i have the new apple wifi router.)
Hope this helps at least a few people out there.

Missing contacts since iOS6 update

Since the iOS6 update, I have lost a large amount of contacts that I can not even track on iCloud. I had no problems with the previous iOS5 update!! I did have an iPhone 4 that was stolen but did managed to get all my contacts back onto my new phone. So my query is...how can I get iTunes to show me my previous iPhone to transfer all contacts?
Hope someone can help me, it is very fustrating!

Your contacts (if you're using the phone as designed) are synched to your contact manager on your computer (such as Outlook) or with a cloud service (Google, iCloud). Synch them back from wherever you store them for safe keeping.

Sound problems since ios6 update :(

No sounds from my iPad apart from when playing music. Nothing on apps. No unlock sounds or keypad sounds. All since I updated to ios6. Have checked settings etc but they are the same as they were before the update. Unsure as to why this has happened.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. It could take well over an hour! Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod. As before, say "yes." Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time. If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device. Corrective action is simple - choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.

IPhone 3 battery draining since iOS6 update

My husband has an iPhone 3G (not a 3GS) and since I updated it with iOS6, his battery is draining very quickly. I had the same problem when I had an iPhone 3GS and updated it to iOS4. I thought my battery draining was because my phone was so old, so I got a new one and then the bug fix came out. Has anyone heard if there will be a bug fix for battery issues on iOS6? Any other thoughts as to why his battery is draining so quickly? I have changed the settings (brightness, no apps running in background, push notifications, etc.) as best I can to make sure it's not using too much battery, but that does not help.

Facebook video black screen since IOS6 update

Since I did an IOS6 update this afternoon, the videos on facebook are coming up as black screens only. When this happened previously, enabling secure browing in facebook did the trick. This time, that isn't working ..
Ideas?

Hi Guys, since i did my iOS6 update I havent been able to connect on my facebook App. All other apps and safari are working fine on my wifi. Facebook time's out. Anyone else having this issue or know how I can fix it?

You can try rebooting your ipad by pressing and holding both the home and sleep/wake buttons at the same time until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
Try signing out of facebook, then back in.

Can no longer add / remove to bookmarks / reading list since ios 6 upgrade

Hi all,
I upgraded my ipod touch to ios 6 last night, and since the upgrade I can no longer add / remove bookmarks or add / remove items to the reading list in safari.
Whenever I try I get the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
So far I've tried;
A hard reset
Turning off Safari in the icloud settings
I still can't do anything with the bookmarks / reading list, I just don't get the 'Bookmarks are being synced' message
Ensuring that push notifications are enabled for icloud
I'm not sure what to try next.....
When I disable Safari in the icloud settings, it asks me if I want to keep a copy of previously synched bookmarks on my ipod - So far I have as I don't want to lose them.
I'm guessing the next step is to not keep a copy and hope ios wipes them - If I do this will the bookmarks still be available in icloud when I turn safari data back on?

I actually managed to fix it! But unfortunately I don't know what I was that I did that helped.
Anyways, this is kind of what I did.
1. I tried to reset form bakup via iTunes, no change.
2. I tried to reset as a new iPhone, problem still there and reading list also as bookmarks!? (several hundred)
3. Noticed that I could delete a bookmark, once in a while, the other times I got the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
4. Because I figured that it was a memory problem, I thought it made sense to delete as many as possible, witch I did.
5. Noticed that it was more likely that I coould delete a bookmark if I restarted Safari.
6. Notice that it was even more likely that I could delete a bookmark if I turned the Safari sync with iCould off (with option detete information on iPhone) and then back on again.
7. When I was about half way through deleting the bookmark list I suddenly discovered that all but one of the items in my reading list was 'waiting' and one was downloading. I kind of was 'unstuck' now.
8. I started to delete items in my reading list, but every other time I got the 'Bookmarks are being synced. Please edit the bookmarks once syncing has completed.' message.
9. It took a while to delete all bookmarks and items in the reading list.
Hope you guys could use the info here to fix your problems too!

Iphone4s wont connect to itunes since ios6 update

my iphone 4s wont connext to itunes on my mack since the ios6 update when my itunes is up to date it still says i need to update when none are available, ive tried restarting both nothing works help please.
my itunes is 10 and fully updated

Updated to iOS6 today with same prob with passbook and couldn't get in to App Store / Itunes. I found this link, changed the date and it fixed the prob with all of it.

Cannot connect to iTunes since iOS6 update.

Is anyone else having difficulty connecting to the iTunes Store since the iOS6 update? I have this problem on my iPad and my iPhone 4S. I have logged out and back in on both devices...all to no avail. If anyone has run into this issue, what have you done to get it fixed?

Where is my reading list

I Dow n loaded a small ebook and sent it to my reading list where is it? I also put the icon in. Y home page and it does appear there and it does open.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're referring to, Reading List is for web pages in Safari and won't apply to ebooks you download separately.

Go to Settings>iCloud>Safari>On. If you have enabled Safari syncing in the iCloud System Preferences on the Mac, then you should be good to go.
Launch Safari, tap on the Bookmarks icon then tap on the eye glasses icon on the right side of the bookmarks window to open the reading list in Safari.
