Where is my Repousse??

I recently started with 3D in VUE and 3Ds Max. While browsing for tutorials I came across a tut that talked about the Repousse in Photoshop CS5. Never heard or seen it before I checked my Photoshop CS5 Extended and Repousse is nowhere to be found. Can someone tell me how come I don't have it or where I can get it?? I'm really at a loss with this!

Please note that for Repoussé functionality, you'll need a supported video card with updated drivers. The easiest way to check if your current card enables OpenGL windows is to press and hold down the 'R' key; if you see an icon with a hand, arrow and square than you have Open GL windows. If you get a circle/slash icon, then you need to go into Performance preferences and see if you can check on the 'Enable OenGL Drawing' option.

Photoshop CS5 Materials- downloaded, but not showing in Repousse

When working in Repousse, the Material selection is small. If you go to 3D>Browse 3D Content Online, it takes you to a Photoshop.com page where you can download new materials. I downloaded the materials and installed into my CS5 Presets>Materials folder. When I reopen Photoshop CS5, not seeing new materials. Using the 64 bit version, I tried the Plugin folder also. They are .p3m files and one material extension file, see pict below. I am interested in the glass and metal materials.
Suggestions?

Nevermind, found them. Its a small arrow on my LARGE wide screen monitor. Click arrow, can change materials!!

3D and Repousse capabilities in cs5 extended student and teacher edition?

Hi, I have cs5 extended student and teacher edition - Windows - there is a top level 3D menu available to me. But when I follow instructions to create 3D text, the 3D options are unavailable to me. Just wondering if anyone out there might be able to help? Thanks.

I'm trying to learn how to use the Repousse tool / feature (to do extruded text etc0 and have found one of many tutorials that give step by step instructions. So for example, the initial instructions are as follows:-
Step 1 - Open Photoshop extended and using horizontal type tool, type 3D using Impact font.
Step 2. Go to 3D > Repousse > Text Layer
I get as far as creating text and when I click on the 3D menu, the Repousse option is disabled, as are all the options except the 'auto- hide layers for performance'.
So not quite sure where to go from here. I've checked and 'OpenGL' is enabled.

How to get from 3D workspace to 3D Repousse?

In need of help:
I know I can go to the 3D application and find Repousse there, but my only option is text and then a pop up says if I choose this my text will become uneditable.
I am using a CS5 book. It tells me to OpenGL (easy), display 3D workspace (easy), click the 3D Repousse Object Option button and if necessary click create (I can't find this step). Where is the option button?
My book says click "yes" to close rastercize box, then click "OK" if I get a video card warning.
I am then supposed to click "Extrude present." <------ HOW DO I GET HERE

Repousse Inflation Problem

Hello all!
I'm pretty new to repousse in Photoshop so bear with me. I'm having a problem when trying to convert a logo into 3D. The logo is essentially a circle with a piece cut out of it. The problem is when I extrude the logo the seems to be "extra material" around the actual circle. Its labeled as Front Inflation Material in the materials panel. I dont know where its coming from. Can I delete is somehow? The logo is imported from Illustrator and I select it with the magic wand then Repousse->Current selection. Im attaching both the 2D and 3D versions of the part of the logo, however this is occuring all over the logo. I highlighted the area in green. Please help!

You might try to paste the object from illustrator as a shape layer instead of a smart object. Then Repousse from Selected Path and see if the results are any better.

Visual quality problems using Adobe Repoussé

I'm just starting to experiment with Adobe Repoussé and I like it, but the quality it is producing doesn't look good. Admittedly I've never used 3D before so I'm probably missing a render option somewhere, but the image below is the kind of quality I'm getting from Adobe Repoussé. The edges of the letterforms are jaggy and have a thin white halo where they overlap. Any tips?

Ah yes, just as I thought. I was missing the rendering step. Consulted the Help menu (that's what it's there for I guess, lol) and it's looking nice and clean now.

HP LaserJet Enterprise 500 551dn - where did the drivers go?

I go to the download page to download the drivers for this 551dn. I download all windows 7, 8, 8.1, 2008, 2012, so that i can put them on my print server. I downloaded them from here..

I get the file downloaded (LJEnt-color-M551-Drv-no-installer_12297.exe), i run it, get the security warning and Run. the file extracts - then POOF, the installer is gone.
where did the files go? They aren't on the root of the C: drive, a folder/files were not created on my desktop, no files or folder created in my downloads folder.
I was never asked for a file save location.... ??? really? is this this basic stuff?
Where are the files? this $$$ printer is a brick until i get drivers!

UPDATE- I FOUND THE FILES!!
First of all, HP... i'm not impressed.
All the files for all the drivers are in a series of temp folders...

There is no change to this problem after 6 months since the last post. Put simply, and as stated in the previous posts, there is no way to scan a document and receive the image on your PC. If you are working with graphics for any length of time or want to create an image for inclusion as an image in a document or web page using this piece of equipment will not allow you to do so.
Great shame as every other function works well - it cannot be beyond the wit of HP to include a Windows application that enables you to scan an image, receive it in the software you are using at the time (e.g. Outlook, Word, Photoshop...) and use it in your work.
HP Printers several years older than this £1000+ Enterprise printer were able to do this simple job and have done so for a great many years. Just being able to use Microsoft's Fax and Scan would be start.

sy-tabix is in Internal table, current line index. So it can only be used while looping at the internal table.
sy-index is in Loops, number of current pass. This you can use in other loop statements also (like do-enddo loop, while-endwhile)
SY-INDEX is a counter for following loops: do...enddo, while..endwhile
SY-TABIX is a counter for LOOP...ENDLOOP, READ TABLE...
Here is an example from which you can understand the difference between sy-tabix and sy-index.
Itab is an internal table with the following data in it.
id Name
198 XYZ
475 ABC
545 PQR.
loop at itab where id > 300.
write :/ itab-id, itab-name , sy-tabix, sy-index.
endloop.
My output will be :
475 ABC 2 1
545 PQR 3 2
Sy-tabix is the index of the record in internal table.
sy-index gives the no of times of loop passes.
So, for the first record in the output (475 ABC), 2 is the index of the record in internal table and as it is first time loop pass occured, sy-index value is 1.

E.g. if y always is a positive number you could use the value -1.

How do i use my web cam, where do i go to, to get started

Can't figure out where to go to be able to use my web cam. Its not in my devices and printers area.

Firstly, uninstall the current version of Cyberlink Youcam and re-install it.
To Uninstall: Click Start >> type Programs and Features in search and select it from the list >> In there, select Cyberlink Youcam and uninstall it.
Once done, try using webcam with Skype or any other messenger you may have, or else re-install Youcam.
If the above does not work, do a System Restore to a previous working date when the webcam worked.
System Restore: Click Start >> type System Restore in search and select it any perform on-screen instructions to restore the notebook to a previous working date.
If none of the above work, open Device Manager, check if you have 'HP Webcam' listed under Imaging Devices category.
You would find the Product Number on the sticker in the battery compartment, will be similar to XT594PA#ABA.

It was Love Actually. It's been in my library a few years but is now missing. It's odd...it isn't even in the iTunes Store anymore. I think there is a rights issue because a message appeared in the store saying it wasn't available at this time in the U. S. store. Still, if I bought it years ago it should be in my library or I should get a refund....

WHEN I LOGIN AS DIFFERENT USER, IT TAKES ME TO THE SAME PAGE WHERE THE PREV

I log in to portal as user1 and go to a page and then log out of the portal. Then I try to login as user2, it takes me to the same page where the previous user was. It looks like it caches the page information. How can I avoid this. Please post a reply if you have some suggestions.

Thanks for checking it, Jason. Yes, the cache settings are for 'Every visit to page'. That was the first thing I thought of. I have a feeling the problem has to do with a cache setting somewhere in our installation. For example, I'm still plagued with a few user accounts returning errors when I try to log in. The users aren't logged in, but when I click "Login" from the Portal Builder page, I see the same error...it's not even letting me get to a login screen. Thanks for all the help. It's great to get some feedback. In the meantime, we'll continue to track it down here.

I have a 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7 macbook pro that has lion installed when I recieved it, according to the support pages AHT is supposed to work over the internet if it wasn't installed, Mine wasn't and it doesn't work. Where can I download it from?

Apple Hardware Test is included on the DVDs that are shipped with some Macintosh computers. If the copy on your hard drive becomes unavailable, use the DVDs to run Apple Hardware Test.
For Intel-based Apple computers that shipped with Mac OS X v10.5.4 or earlier, Apple Hardware Test is located on the Mac OS X Install Disc 1 and should be included with your computer.
For Apple computers that shipped with Mac OS X v10.5.5 to 10.6.7, Apple Hardware Test is located on the Applications Install Disc 2 and should be included with your computer.
For some Apple computers that shipped with OS X Lion, if Apple Hardware Test cannot be found on the hard drive, an Internet-based version starts up instead.
This doesn't work as the additional information statement says it should above. Could someone at apple give me an idea of where to get it or what the "REAL" solution is, since it doesn't work on an internet version which was confirmed today at the Genius Bar in the Apple store.

And how long did you hold it down?
I held mine down for about 40-50 seconds. Then I lookat at my routers WAN light and it was flickering so I let up on the d key.
If that does not work then maybe there is something wrong with your MBP. Is that the reason you want to run this test, something isn't right with your unit?
