Where is my song from the music store?
I bought a song from the mobile music store and I can play it on my touch, but when I am on iTunes I don't see it in iTunes or on the iPod.
I figured it out, I right clicked on the iPod from iTunes and it gave me the option to "transfer purchases". I just thought that it would have been automatic. The other odd thing is that the song didn't show up in iTunes even on the iPod until it was "transfered"

I recently downloaded an album (a gift) from Amazon, one option of which is to download directly to my iTunes library (which is what I did). I also purchased a song from the iTunes store shortly after this. In both cases, the music shows up on my iPod touch in a lighter print than the other music on my iPod. When I select it nothing happens. I only plug into the computer a couple of times a month, but I perform all updates as are indicated and I synch my iPod. Note that when I have iTunes up on my computer, the music WILL play directly from the library, just not on the iPod. Any ideas? Thanks.
Hello zayasva
I would delete the songs and download them again, or plug it into iTunes to resync them back on.

Just bought 4 songs from the itune store how do I get them on my ipod shuffle
I just bought 4 songs from the itune store. How do I get them on my ipod shuffle?
If you've bought them on your computer's iTunes then they should have downloaded into the Music part of your library. To sync them to your iPod, connect the iPod to your computer and select it in your computer's iTunes - with the current version of iTunes, iTunes 12, you should (when a device is connected) get a device icon towards the top left of the iTunes screen, next to the icons for the types of content (music, films etc) in your library.
Selecting that icon should let you select a Music screen for it, on which you can select which of your iTunes music library to have on the iPod -
As of today, neither sample songs on the music store nor songs already downloaded will play correctly. They are stuttery and slow. I have iTunes 10.5 and have not downloaded any upgrades for anything recently. They were working last night. Thoughts or advice?
I found a solution that worked for me. Here is what I did and where I found it.
"Looks like I tracked down the problem, it worked for me so I hope this works for everyone else experiencing problems. Go to your Task Manager and locate the program APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push)..... if you see this executing terminate the program and then startup iTunes and it should come up fine. You will see afterwards that APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) starts back up but this is fine as long as iTunes has already started.
I tried playing both music and syncing up my iPhone with no problems. Note if you shutdown iTunes again you will have to terminate the process APSDaemon.exe (Apple Push) again. Haven't had time to see what in the world Apple Push is but this appears to have corrected the problem so that you can at least use iTunes and sync any device that needs to be synced.
Hope that helps everyone!"

Transferring songs from ipod, Music Store
I got a new Mac and I have an old Ipod and I cannot transfer songs downloaded from the Music Store. Same from the Ipod to my Library because the version of the Ipod is too old.
If I update it, I'll lose my songs. Can I backup them from the ipod?
I do not have my old computer, so I have no more options.
ThanksUpdating the iPod software does not erase the songs from the iPod. Just be extra careful not to choose "restore" when using the iPod updater, as this will erase the songs.
To get music from iPod to computer, try either Senuti or Yamipod. -
I purchased a song from the itunes store and downloaded it to my ipod and it will not play what happens now?
If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copy of the track and try redownloading a fresh one. See the following document for instructions:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item. -
I am having trouble syncing my itouch I recently purchased some songs from the itunes store. I ma trying to sync them to my itouch. When I do I get the following message "itunes sync..67 items could not be synced"Anyone have an advice on how to sync these items?
Connect your phone to iTunes, then right-click on the name of your phone on the left sidebar and select Reset Warnings. Then sync again and you should get a warning listing the problem files.

Updating Track Information from the Music Store
Is it possible to update my tracks with information from the Music Store - automatically? I don't feel like going over every piece of music I have doing it manually. Like there's an option to download missing artwork it would be awesome with an option to download (or override ) genres?
No, you can't get any info from the iTunes store (apart from the album art).
There are several 3rd party applications though, that could help you tag your music. I never used one myself, so Google might better be able to help you find one. -
My PC is no longer permitting me to play songs from my playlist library or even preview songs from the iTunes store. The diamond isn't even moving on the bar when I try to play songs. I have installed the most current version of iTunes and have verified that my PC is authorized.
Any suggestions?Hello WashDC,
The following article can help get iTunes to produce output normally again.

Where did Lion Go from the app store?
Where did Lion Go from the app store? it's gone. I my MacBook Pro can't run Mountain Lion but it could run Lion. But it's gone!
If you need to purchase Lion call 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775. Ask for a Sales Representative. They will check your Apple ID, and email you a code and instructions. The cost is $29.99 (as it was before) plus tax. It's a download.

When I purchase songs from the itunes storethey will show up in my itunes library but in the actual location file folder some songs are not showing up there. How do I fix this

why can i not copy songs i bought from the itunes store to a card to play in my car stereo.
what is m4a?M4A is another name (actually, the file extension) for the AAC audio format. It is used in iTunes, but frequently has compatibility problems when used outside of Apple-land.
Does your car player expect MP3 format? If so you can convert your files by following this guide: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
Also, unless you enjoy doing format conversions, you also have the option to buy your music in MP3 format in the first place, from another music download store, e.g. Amazon MP3.
MP3 can be used in iTunes, iPod, iPhone and just about every other player, program, and device.
