Where is my status bar?

Hi, i updated to ffx29 and i can't find my status bar. Where can i activate it?

I agree. This is so frustrating. It seems that Mozilla has adopted a change for the sake of change attitude. After upgrading I spent 15 minutes finding out how to close Firefox. Is there any performance improvement by removing the "X" in the upper right? Does having a status bar make the browser less secure? Is this a cosmetic change because it's gotten too hard to improve performance or security. It's gotten to the point that I don't want to update Firefox anymore.

The Statusbar is gone and the "lock" with it. Security information about a web page is shown by the Site Identity Button.

IPhone 6: Where's the status bar in landscape mode?

I just got the iPhone 6 (I believe iOS 8.1) and my only problem is that it removes the status bar in when in landscape mode. I find it extremely annoying that I can no longer see the time, monitor my battery life, check whether if I'm even receiving a signal, etc. when I'm using apps such as Safari or Notes in landscape mode. Is there any way to get the status bar back like in previous software versions? So far, I hate having to switch to portrait mode, using the pull down menu, or pressing the home button just to see it...

Same here - I returned my original, same problem on the second one, and same problem on my son's phone. I called Apple tech months ago, got to a senior supervisor who assured me he'd get back to me, but never did.

I have just updated to FF 7.0.1 from FF 3.6.16. I am unable to find the status bar in the new version, to know the progress of my web page downloads. How do I get the FF 3.6.16 Status Bar like function in this new version?

Where is the status bar toggle in FF8

In earlier versions of FF a "status bar" could be toggled from the "view" menu. The option is no longer there in FF8

Firefox 4 + versions no longer have the Status bar. 
The functionality of the Status bar has been replaced by the Add-ons bar that extensions can use.

Where did my status bar go?? Samsung Stratosphere

Had my Stratosphere for about 2 weeks...and I like it.
But the status bar at the top (shows if I have 4G, battery life, etc) disappeared.
I don't know if I turned it off or what..can't find a way to get it back.

You definitely need to know how much battery life you have left! Without these icons, have you been able to use the phone (make calls, text, use the web)? Have you pulled the battery out of the phone? Usually when the phone does not have network indicators, it means it's in airplane mode. Can you please try to run the phone in safe mode? This would let us know if it is an application causing these indicators to disappear. I will provide some links with instructions. If you are still having the problem after the first two steps, a hard reset may be necessary.

Might have to start telling people to use internet explorer again, as neither of my preferred browsers have a consistand user interface.

How to save status bar background color in local settings(Windows Phone 8.1)

I have given the user the freedom to change background colour and save it in local settings. But I am confused on how to save the status bar colour settings because I want to give the user the freedom to choose from 4-5 colours where background of status bar
can be changed.

Where did you call the method SaveStatusBarColor() and LoadStatusBarColor()?
I have called your SaveStatusBarColor() in the OnNavigatedFrom method and called the LoadStatusBarColor() in the OnNavigatedTo method, it worked very well in my side.
So I can not reproduce your issue.

Status Bar message

Hi All,
I have web Dynpro iviews in portal which are arranged in Worksets and roles. When we click on any role or workset, it is observed that the status bar message is changed accordingly. A long message starts displaying in the status bar due to Loading of the requests and directing to the pages and iViews . I have a requirement where either the status bar can be made to display only some fixed message or Status bar do not display any message at all. This needs to be done in whole portal. Please advice.

For disabling the Status bar, just add the below line of code in Masthead (between JS code)(com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead) & redeploy.
window.document.statusbar.enable = false;
For setting default value in status bar, use:
window.status="Welcome";
and remove all occurances of mouseover.

How to disable status bar from creating a dead zone in the simulator

Is this a known bug in the simulator,where a hidden status bar is still grabbing touches? I constantly get frustrated by the inability to click at the top 20 or so pixels of the screen because that is a dead zone, and even though I have a hidden status bar the status bar is still grabbing touches there. Any way around this? And will this happen in the iPhone version, or is it just the simulator?

You have a point, if your users are filling the form in with Reader, they won't be able to save the data with the form unless the form has been "Reader Extended" (which enables this functionality in Reader for the particular form)
If you have Acrobat Pro, you can "extend" the form before you send it to the users. The following is from the Acrobat Pro help...
Enable Reader users to save form data
Ordinarily, Reader users can’t save filled-in copies of forms that they complete. However, you can extend rights to Reader users so they have the ability to do so. These extended rights also include the ability to add comments, use the Typewriter tool, and digitally sign the PDF.
1. Open a single PDF, or select one or more PDFs in a PDF Portfolio.
2. Choose Advanced > Extend Features In Adobe Reader.
These extended privileges are limited to the current PDF. When you create a different PDF form, you must perform this task again if you want to enable Reader users to save their own filled-in copies of that PDF.

Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Otherwise delete and resync if they play OK in iTunes on the computer

The old status bar showed a lock icon when on a secure site - where is that lock icon in vers 4?

The status bar was along the bottom of the window. At the right end of that bar, a lock icon would appear when you are on a secure site, like banking or bill pay. With the status bar now gone, where do I see that lock icon?

Where has the full status bar gone?

I am on version 7.0.1 and the status bar along the bottom only appears when it is doing something, and even then it abbreviates certain links if they are longer than the status bar.
this isn't terribly useful when programming. I am sure you use to be able to get an Addon to put the whole thing back.

Only in firefox, it doesnt have my status bar in facebook, it has a a bar where you have to click status, post, picture. It doesnt do that in explorer
