Where is my total saying how many songs are in my library?

i have just downloaded the new itunes last night (3-31-13) and started to use it today (4-1-13) and i don't have the total at the bottom anymore and would like to see it because i like to see the total of my library...  ....on a side note the library and just added and playlist ect.. on the left is no longer there witch is not so bad but i kinda liked it

Okay. Try the Ctrl-/ keyboard shortcut. Does that get you back your status bar down the bottom?

  • How do I see how many songs are in my library?

I've tried all the other suggestions on here, CTRL & / isn't working, and there is no "show status bar" in the View section. Is this no longer available with the new iTunes? Or is something wrong with my iTunes?

Turn on Windows 7 and 8 iTunes menus: iTunes- Turning on iTunes menus in Windows 8 and 7.

Ctrl / should display the status bar.
You can also turn on the menu bar with ctrl b or press alt to make it show on a temporary basis. View > Show Status Bar should make it display.

  • How many songs are checked in Your Music?

I am wondering if there is a quick way to know how many songs are checked in "Your Music"? I tried to select all (ctrl+a) but didnt see a number. I have heard there is a 10,000 song limit. Is this still the case? I use the check feature to denote preffered songs on albums, and keep track of what I have listened too. I do not want to invest this time if I am going to hit the 10,000 mark and I wont let me add any more or worse yet remove an old check to add a new one! Thanks

    Hello:
When you use the ctrl+a and all songs are highlighted, if you start to drag all tracks as you would when adding to a playlist, does a small context window open next to your mouse pointer informing you how many tracks you are dragging?
And sadly yes currently there is a 10,000 track limit in YOUR MUSIC. I still use playlists to add stuff and keep me aware of new things I add by date added to playlists and to know when something needs listening to next.
Now you can always uncheck content added under either SONGS or ALBUMS under YOUR MUSIC. And add new content each time if you are wanting to use it as a way to keep up with new stuff not listened to yet. Just click on either the tracks or albums check marks and click on the X on mouse hover to change them from a check mark to an X to remove those items, and you should be able to change out content that way.

  • How do you view the size of your Ibook library? How do you view how many books are in your library?

How do you view the size of your Ibook library? How do you view how many books are in your library?

Open the iBooks app. All your iBooks should load there.
You can see the file size for each iBook by clicking List from the menu bar top of the iBooks window.

  • The file name of many songs are in my library but can't be heard or found, why?

My itunes library has been off-line for a year or more and when i updated everything my song file names are there and some songs are audible but the majority of them are not and my computer says it can't find the song in my computer, what do i do?

I am having the same problem. I spent three hours on the phone with Apple Reps last night. They first said that they would have to reinstate ? my permissions, which they did (I had also lost some music) but after an hour of downloads, I still had no tones. Spoke with another Rep and they said if I purchased the Tones on Istore they should show up. I had. They didn't. Then said that it could be the "older" music was no longer compatible and it MUST be purchased through Itunes Store to show up in Tones automatically. So...I bought almost $20 of Tones last night after I hung up, and NONE Of them show up in my Tones folder. I have tried everything. I cannot move them by drag and drop.
This has been an ongoing problem for me for over a year, and so far, I cannot get any help.
I was asked if it was possible if I had different Libraries. I told them I don't know, since I have used Itunes since 2009 (and like the old version much better) and I have never changed my Itunes login or password. I have however, had different computers.  I hope someone can help with this issue.

  • Figuring out how many songs i have in itunes? (and ext drive question)

I am looking to buy a new ipod but am not sure about the nano vs the regular video one... we already have 1 video one, so i thought one of each might be nice, but the 8 GB nano only holds 2000 songs for the same price as a 30GB ipod...so, I would like to figure out how many songs we currently have in itunes in order to see if we are at the 2000 song mark already, but am not sure how, short of counting them (ugh!)
Also, if I purchase an external drive for itunes (and some photos & documents), how to know what amount of memory i need?
    Thanks!

There's a BIG difference between the iTunes application and the Music that you've loaded into your iTunes library.
Your music is normally stored in the Music folder which should be listed in iTunes>Preferences>Advanced.
By the way... you should be able to see how many songs are in your Library, as well as how much space they take and how long it would take to play them all at the bottom of the iTunes window.

How can I see how many songs I have in iTunes 11?

If you go to the "Songs" tab, then from the menu select View > Show Status Bar, this will bring up the status bar like iTunes 10 had that tells you how many songs are there, total time of all the songs, and total file size of all the songs.

  • How many gb are actually on the 16 gb model

How many gb are actually on the 16 gb model new iPad is it the same as the iPad 2

On your iPod menu, Settings>About. Click the centre button to move through the screens until you get to the one that tells you how many songs, videos etc. you have. You can also see the information by connecting your iPod to iTunes. Connect your iPod and when it shows in the iTunes 7 source list click on the chevron (the little triangle) to the left of the iPod icon This will display the various icons for the iPod itself, Music, Movies, TV Shows and Playlists. Click on Music and you'll see the usual song list, on the grey bar at the bottom you'll see how many songs are there.
