Where is my upgrade!?!?!!?!?!?!

Gosh, this is frustrating. I call and call, I check the online update over and over, I post and post. What is going on with getting a simple answer. The first time I called they said upgrades would be shipped when the retail version was available, not true. The last time I spoke with an Apple person they said that all orders would be processed by Jan 30 and you could see your status then online. Not true. What is up. Why does the web site not work, why can no one give a straight answer.
Does anyone have any idea when the ilife 09 upgrade will ship. Has anyone actually received an upgrade disc in the mail after sending in a fax?
Looking for hope
thx

Weird, but happy. The upgrade showed up yesterday in the mail. I never received an email, the online checking site never found my record, but it showed up. Installed and it works fine so far.
The communication about the process was poor, but I did receive the product, and it was about 1 week after the retail release
thx

If your program is Premiere Elements 13 which no longer has the DV HDV Capture firewire, you can get a suggested Adobe workaround for the 13 situation.

  • Hi how/where do I upgrade plug-ins for InDesign CS6 6.0.6?

    Hi how/where do I upgrade plug-ins for InDesign CS6 6.0.6?

    6.0.6 is CS4, not CS6 (which is version 8).
Why do you need to upgrade plugins? Are you getting an error  message trying to pen a file? That meas the file was saved from a newer version of ID, and you'll need either the newer version, or an IDML file exported from the original. You can't upgrade plugins to make this work.

  • Where is the upgrade prices for education edition?

I purchased a student edition of CS 4 Premium in early 2010. I am unable to find anything on the Adobe store of where I can upgrade this to CS 5.5 Premium for student or teacher edition. Instead, I only see that I can purchase another student edition for $449.00. But to upgrade CS 4 to CS 5.5 it is $649.00? Why does it cost more to upgrade? Is there not a upgrade price for student or teacher edition? Not finding it anywhere.

This pricing with Adobe is really upsetting me. They say the disadvantage to getting an education version of Creative Suite is that you aren't offered the upgrade pricing discount that normal customers get, you have to buy a new version each time you want one. OK, lets take a look at their product page. Someone upgrading CS5 Design Standard to 5.5 Standard has to pay $299, that's what they get for being a loyal customer. OK, now a student or teacher buying a brand new, non-upgrade, CS5.5 Design Standard has to pay......$299. Wait, what? A loyal repeat customer pays the same amount for the same product as someone who's never been with adobe before but is a student or teacher? That's great for students and teachers but it's kind of a slap in the face to loyal customers. Also, when you look at it, it's not a disadvantage at all to get the educational version like they say. CS5 to CS5.5 is the smallest upgrade and it's the same cost as a student or teacher would pay for a brand new version of CS5.5. So essentially they are upgrading for the same price.

  • Where can I upgrade Migration Assistant?

Hello, I have just bought a Macbook second hand, and realised it was 10.4.11 not leopard as the seller claimed. I do also have a macbook pro (old model, about four years old) with snow leopard installed and this mac is basiclly a back up as I think the mother board has had it on the mac book pro, but thats just another issue.
Unfortunatelly I cannot upgrade the macbook via cd as the cd drive is non responsive to any cd i have put in it, it will take a disk then spit it out about a minuit later.
The macbook pro's firewire also does not work which leaves me with the option of wirelessly migrating what I have on my macbook pro to my macbook to ensure I have a back up to continue working if my macbook pro dies.
The macbook has migration assistant v1 where my macbook pro has v.3 I read on a forum that you should ensure you have the latest version of migration but am not too sure where to find it and whether it is a downloadable upgrade as a CD will not work for me. Failing that can i use an USB to Migrate or does it have to be firewire?

Migration Assistant is on the System Install DVD 1 that originally comes w/all Macs. There are no Migration Assistant updates per say. If there were, they would be included in Software Update.
If you did not get the System DVDs that originally came w/your comp from the seller, contact the seller for them.
If you want to install Leopard, you will need to purchase the retail DVD. Same can be purchased directly from Apple by phone 1-800-692-7753.
You can get replacement System Install & Restore CD/DVDs from Apple's Customer Support - in the US, (800) 767-2775 - for a nominal S&H fee. You'll need to have the model and/or serial number of your Mac available.
If you're not in the US, you may need to go through the regional Apple Store that serves your location to find the contact number. Here's a list of links to all of those -

  • Where can i upgrade for my annual upgrade

I am eligible for a annual upgrade yet anytime i find a deal I want verizon rejects my claim.  I don't want to buy a phone from the verizon online store because the prices are horrendous, where else can i go to shop around for prices?

    unnoan wrote:
...The problem is that when they contact verizon to let them know i am trying to upgrade verizon rejects the claim.  I am wondering why they are rejecting my claim and how or where can i purchase a phone with a contract extension from another store besides the verizon wireless online store.
As others have stated, the ANNUAL UPGRADE option is a Verizon direct courtesy, and normally not available through resellers or third parties.  When they check your upgrade eligibility, they get your 2 year contract dates, or 20 months after the start which would be February 2011.  That's why you are not able to upgrade now from anyone except Verizon directly.
Your annual upgrade option gives you the 2-year contract price and any rebates or deals currently offered DIRECT FROM VERIZON.  The online prices on the Verizon site also include instant rebates (online discounts) and are often the best deals you'll find.  And I like to deal directly with Verizon, rather than through a third party - things can get really confusing when dealing with two differing policies.

  • SOLMANUP where to find upgrade master DVD?

We're upgrading sol.man. 701 to 71. I've used mopz to download all files, I'm using SOLMANUP to run the upgrade.
I'm still in the "Extraction phase", where I'm supposed to point out the directories for the upgrade. It complains for
"Enter at least the mount point containing "Upgrade master DVD"  The requested Data Carrier is not mounted on any of the mount points you entered."
Where can I find Upgrade master DVD? At SWDC there are only Installation master DVD. and that is not working. Do I need to download the whole 12 files of Upgrade Export DVDS?
I can't find any logfiles to check what files sapup is looking for.
Why the h-l doesn't mopz supply all needed files for an upgrade?
    Please advice!

    Hi,
    this was verys helpful.

  • Where is the upgrad to CS6?

So I'm actually embarrased to ask this, but I want to upgrade from Photoshop CS5 to Photoshop CS6.
I have scoured the adobe website, but I cannot find where to do this--I only see options to purchase the full version.
IN addition, I am a teacher, so I want to take advantage of the discount, each time I look at the educations discount pricing, the option to upgrade seems to vanish, I only see the option to purchase the full version at $199.
Can someone direct me to the correct location?

  • Running OS X 10.4, where can I upgrade inexpensively?

My wife bought her old MacBook new in 2007, it came with 10.4. It's now been handed down to me and I'm having trouble with the OS. I updated it to 10.4.11, then I found all the Snow Leopard updates, but I can't find where to upgrade to Leopard itself on the Apple site. Is Leopard available as an upgrade or will I need to purchase it? I hope I can avoid spending the $200 I see it priced at, as this thing isn't worth it anymore. Thanks for any help.

You cannot download a major version upgrade, so in order to go to Leopard, Snow Leopard, or Lion will require an outlay. I suggest you upgrade to Snow Leopard since it's still available and the cost is $29.00 at your local Apple retailer or the Online Store. Your computer will need to meet the requirements for installing Snow Leopard:
    Snow Leopard General requirements
Mac computer with an Intel processor
    1GB of memory
    5GB of available disk space
    DVD drive for installation
Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.

  • Where is the upgrade path?

Bought Logic 9 a year ago. It was dissapointing. Now Apple wants another $200? Where is the reward for loyal users? What a joke. What a complete joke. Ableton Live is the only DAW I'll use at this point. And I love how the app store scrubs any and all negative reviews of Logic. Nothing less than 4 stars. Really?
    Goodbye Logic.

    There are no upgrades.
The cost of the new full version of Logic Pro X is the same as or less than the cost of previous major upgrades to Logic Pro.
If you wish to complain about Apple's pricing policy, please contact Apple directly as this is simply a community forum for users.. and supported by users

  • Where is the Upgrade Link from LR 3.6 to LR4?

    Hi,
I only find the offer with 33% save for by a new version. On the text "Upgrade" is no link related.
But I like to do an Upgrade from LR3.6 to LR4.
    Best regards
    Nehonimo

    Hi Nehonimo,
I recommend jumping to Lr5 instead. It's still in beta, but it's working pretty good save for a few bugs...
And, Lr5 final version will be out soon.
(I don't know the answer to your specific question).

  • Where can i upgrade to os x 10.7 from os x 10.6.8

i assumed i could go from 10.6.8 to 10.7 through the app store. i assumed wrong

Choose About this Mac from the Apple menu, check if the computer has at least a Xeon or Core 2 Duo(not Core Duo) CPU and 2GB of RAM, and if it does, click here and order a download code for Lion 10.7.
Back up your data before upgrading. Mac OS X 10.7 and newer don't support PowerPC programs such as versions of Microsoft Office prior to 2008.

  • Where's the upgrade from studio 8 to 9?

I own a fully licensed version of Logic Studio 8.  I just recently got the funds to upgrade it to 9.  I have looked in both the App Store, Apple's online store and other online vendors I use, and I cannot find the upgrade to go from 8 to 9.  All I have found is:
    - full version of Logic 9 Studio (box set)
    - full version of Logic 9 Pro (not Studio) for download on App Store.
What is up with this?  Do you have to know some secret to find the upgrade?  Or is Apple just screwing us Logic 8 purchasers by not providing upgrades?

I wish they'd done this before I shelled out for the full version of 8.  I had 7 but I lost the xs-key so I had to buy full to upgrade.
But I guess it's an even tradeoff with the lower price plus being able to have it on all macs.
However, I was about to go download it, and I realized that there is no "Studio" on the app store.  There is only plain "Pro" which does not include all of the loops, patches, instruments, etc., and does not include Mainstage. What will happen to all of that if I download it?  Will it just upgrade the parts it has and leave the rest?  or will it take away the other parts?
Also, what if I want to upgrade all of Studio and not just the DAW as with Pro?  Am I stuck paying $500 for a box version that only goes on one computer?  In that case, I do still really feel screwed.

  • Where to find upgrade of mac os 9.0 up to 9.1 and 9.2

In my pwrmac G4 I partitioned HD for 1) Mac OS X and 2) Mac OS 9. I had upgraded 9.0 to 9.2.2 a few years ago, when the upgrades (from 9.0 to 9.1 and from 9.1 to 9.2) were available from the Apple site. By mistake, these upgrades were recently replaced by the os 9.0 from my apple original system disk. Since the classic environment requires mac os at least 9.1 it cannot run now and I'm stuck with applications that cannot be used with mac os X running and a ton of files rendered useless when in  mac os X which is my standard way of working. As far as I have been able to explore, the needed upgrade(s) for 9.0 are no longer available from the apple site (since when I don't know).
Would appreciate very much any help provided on this matter. Thank you.

    OS9.2.2
Here is the way I get files off the web that no longer exist.
I pulled up the English version of the site you provided:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1387
Since that doesn't load, I used the Internet Archive:
    http://web.archive.org/web/20100917074207/http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1387
When this page loads, select the OS update you want.
For this example, I chose OS 9.2.2 with the North American 21.3MB 9.2.2 update.
    http://web.archive.org/web/20101204032737/http://docs.info.apple.com/article.htm l?artnum=75186
    On this page:
    http://web.archive.org/web/20101204032737/http://docs.info.apple.com/article.htm l?artnum=75186
the first update available is North American English, 9.2.2, 21.3MB.
Simply right-click (hold ctrl then click the mouse button), and "copy link" ("copy link" is how it appears in my 10.4.11, your operating system or browser choice may vary):
    http://web.archive.org/web/20101204032737/http://download.info.apple.com/Apple_S upport_Area/Apple_Software_Updates/English-North_American/Macintosh/System/Mac_ O S_9.2.2_Update/Single-File/Mac_OS_9.2.2_Update.smi.bin
Paste the link in a new tab of your browser, and delete the entire beginning of the address all they way up to and including the final forward slash /.
If you did this correctly this will leave you with the file name:
    Mac_OS_9.2.2_Update.smi.bin
Do a web search for "ftp Mac_OS_9.2.2_Update.smi.bin" and you'll find a download site somewhere!
    http://ftp.iinet.net.au/pub/apple/US/Macintosh/System/Mac_OS_9.2.2_Update/
