Where is my Website?

I can easily use the Business Catalyst tool, from within Dreamweaver, and create a Business Catalyst site.  I then 'Put' the files I've prepared to this site.  When I preview the site with a browser, I only get the 'starter' site provided by Adobe.  My index.html does not get launched!  Looking at the file structure, again back in Dreamweaver, all looks normal.  Using the Admin site I see nothing out of the ordinary.  No 'cloaking' of my files.  I've moved the starter files to an Archive folder, and it still insists on launching the Adobe files instead of my own.  I deleted the Index.html provided, and re-uploaded my own.  Now I get a 'blank' page in the browser!  What am I missing?  What magic button have I not pushed?

First, it would have helped if the BC people troubleshooted you a bit before dumping you here, but did you read the notice that the old extension is being deprecated and you have until next week to update the extension?
http://www.businesscatalyst.com/_blog/BC_Blog/post/Managing_your_sites_with_the_Dreamweave r_extension_for_Business_Catalyst/
Maybe someone hit the switch a few days early.  Can you confirm you have the most updated version of their extension?

  • I want to publish my changes.  Where is my website saved?

I have updated and made changes to my website and I want to publish my changes. It says it is publishing (using Cyberduck) but it still looks the same. Where is my website saved? How can I make changes?

Before you can attempt to use Cyberduck, you have to have published your site to your desktop - you can't use Cyberduck unless it has already been published and you also need to have a hosting account with a domain hosting company before you can upload anything with Cyberduck.
If you have an iWeb created site then you need to make changes within iWeb itself and then publish from there.
Your domain file is stored under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites. Find this domain file and double click and iWeb will open it. Make alterations to your site and then publish to the relevant place either MobileMe or in your case to a folder on your desktop and then upload with Cyberduck to your host.

  • I need to download Adobe Macromedia Flash and Adobe won't let me download it until i get a 32 bit version of Firefox. Where on the website can I find this version?

I'm using Windows 7 and Firefox 3.6.6 as a browser. I need to dowload some Adobe software like Flash and i can't do it because this version of firefox is a 64 bit app. I need a 32 bit FF app/where on the website can i dowload this?
    Thanks
    Tim

You already have Shockwave Flash 10.2 r152 installed for Firefox on the PC you used to post here, see your ''More system details...'' next to your posting.
There are no 64-bit builds of Firefox made, only 32-bit currently. There are some 3rd party builds floating around out there, but Mozilla doesn't allow them to be named Firefox - they would be called Namoroka for 3.6 versions. Mozilla does have a Minefield 64-bit build for 4.0-pre versions, but it won't be available as Firefox until probably Firefox 5 is released.
If your situation is with a different PC than what you used to post here: <br />
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
    [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
    2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
    {XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
    3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
    * On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />
    See this: <br />

  • HT4759 Where is the website address for my iCloud content, apps, email etc?

Where is the website address where I can access and manage my iCloud content, apps, email etc?

Apps are not in iCloud. They are in App Store and you can access them through iOS device.
For Email, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, Reminders and iWork go to www.icloud.com from a desktop browser.

  • Where is my 'website folder'?

Just created my first site in iWeb and in an effort to get my site to load quicker I have downloaded 'Webcrusher'.
It is asking me to drag my website folder to a window.
    Where can I find this?
    thanks
    Pete

Open Transmit and click on Favorites in the right hand pane. Then select "+" at the bottom of the right hand pane to bring up a new favorite. There you'll enter the following information:
1 - change Untitled favorite to whatever you want. I use Web/Sites as that's the folder on the iDisk.
    2 - Protocol = WebDAV
    3 - Server = idisk.me.com
    4 - User Name = your username
    5 - Password = your password
    6 - Port = 80
    7 - Remote Path = /your username/Web/Sites/your Web Site's folder
8 - Local Path = the file path to your web site folder which you're publishing locally.
Then save. You can set that favorite to open when you open Transit. Then all you need to do is click on the Sync button at the top and set the rules for uploading. Click on the right arrow to upload files. Set the Modification Date as the criteria for uploading. I'd also check the Delete orphaned destination files so you don't leave unneeded files on your iDisk.
Or your can sort by date and upload those files with today's date.

  • Where are cuurent website's file build with Muse ?

    Hello,
I've changed my laptop for a Macbook Pro retina. I reinstalled all Creative Clouds Apps I need. Such Muse. But I'm can't find the genuine files relative to one Website build with Muse (it's a work in progress) ? They are now in a Time Machine backup, but in which folders must I look for ?
I thank you, by advance for any help or support.
    Wish you a merry christmas,
    Best,
    Pascal

Muse allows you to save your .muse file anywhere you want to, so it could be anywhere.
That said, I think the default is your user Documents folder, so if you just saved it to the default location that's where you should start looking.

  • Where to install website files for Apache

Apache newbie here, with a basic question - is there a standard or recommended directory that I should use for a website's files? I'm packaging WebGUI, and in the process getting my feet wet with Apache for the first time (well, it had to happen sometime, I suppose ). The WebGUI walkthrough suggests I create a new directory under / called /data, and use a subdir under that as DocumentRoot. This works, but I'm wondering is it regarded as OK to create random directories under / like that, or should I be using /home/httpd or something like that?

    Hi!
Linux's, or better, any UN*X's directory structure depends entirely on system's administrator (freedom of choice;) ). Noone forces you to have all binaries in /bin or /usr/bin. You can even follow some nasty examples like /Program Files/
There are however some recommendations (you may even consider them standards) of how should a UN*X compilat system's directory structure look like. It is nicely described at http://www.tuxfiles.org/linuxhelp/linuxdir.html.
Therefore I would place my local web pages in /var/www (I do in fact, just not on my laptop from which I am writing right now:))
There is one custom, which is common on multiuser systems: If a user wants have his web pages on that server, he can simply create a directory in his home directory (the name of the directory is defined by sysadmin, but mostly it is '$HOME/public_html') and put all his webpages there. Those pages are then accessible via url like http://serverdomain.org/~username. This feature however requires some slight tweaking in Apache settings (not sure how much tweaking, since I do not use it, but it can be pretty simple, like uncommenting a line in httpd.conf:) )
       Hope this post is useful;)

  • Where is a website loaded from iWeb 08 to .Mac stored ? Mac or Online

Is a website I make in iWeb 08 and load onto the web with .Mac stored online or on my computer - ie. do I have to remain online for others to view my site?
    Thanks

If you use the Publish button or Publish to .Mac menu, your site is put on your iDisk at .Mac. Whether your computer is operating or online doesn't matter once that is done.

  • Where has my website gone

I have just upgraded to iLife08, and Iweb has successfully republished my website. However, i cannot get to my website at all. I cannot link from iWeb using file>visit published website, and none of my old links work. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I've done wrong?

I think i am having a similar problem, when I open iWeb, it wants me to select a template as if i dont have a website setup. My website works perfectly(web.mac.com/[AppleID]), all my pictures from that website and info pertaining to those pictures and my templates are in order in my iDisk, but i dont see that in iWeb. Any help would be much appreciated.
If there is any other information required of me to help in a solution, please dont hesitate to ask. Thank you.

  • Where is my website, since MobileMe transformed to iCloud?

I made a nice website that was hosted bij MobileMe. Since that account was migrated to iCloud I lost track of mij website.
Does anyone know how to find my website?

Your online website no longer exists and is not recoverable by any means. As long as you have the necessary files on your computer you can publish to another hosting service - there are lots to choose from.
If you have further queries please tell us what program you have been using to publish your web site (if iWeb, which version).

  • Where to purchase website or store.

Seriously looking into making the switch to Mac. Looking at Mac Pro because I like the ability of changing components if needed.
Nearest Apple store is 2 hours away so I need clarification on what they would have in stock, if anything. Do the systems in stock only come one way? If so is it the default settings when looking at Apple.com
Don't want to change much, just add bluetooth and more RAM.
I also qualify for student discount. Do you have to go online to use that.

I agree with the previous poster who mentioned the same thing that I am about to. Go to a store!!!! Mine screwed up within the first 5 days and I was stuck talking to them on the phone. IMO you have very little leverage with them over the phone. I kept getting passed on to different departments. For example I tried to voice my concern to customer service since I had had a couple things go wrong..they then said I had to talk to the online store people. They are totally useless and wouldn't budge. I was very kind and realistic about the problems and no one even cared. I will only buy from a store and I don't care if it is a bit of a drive cause if something goes wrong talking to someone in real life face to face has a much higher chance of gettting results. I am extremely unsatisfied with the support I received. They told me for example "well because it is a month old we can't do anything" but they also said "It is documented here this problem happened with in the first few days" Yes my computer was a month old but it was in being serviced for almost 3 weeks.. how is that my problem?

  • Using FF 3.6.13 and get 406 error and can't view my own website, other browser work fine

All of a sudden I get this error, 406 Not Acceptable
An appropriate representation of the requested resource /postersschool.html could not be found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Hi halacious, and a warm welcome to the forums!
Airport & Bluetooth are two separate Interfaces, so that is a bit confusing.
Where is this Website hosted? Locally on your own machine, or on the Internet?
    Any Router involved there?

  • My website was hacked, I made a new one and placed it on a new server. How about the red warning page on firefox for returning visitors?

Hi I have a problem. My businesswebsite www.steunkousgemak.nl was hacked and the hacker placed mallware on it. My link on google had a warning and when you wanted to visit my site on firefox there was a red warning page. I made a new website so it's deffinately clean, moved it to a different server and have a new hostingpackage. Now I am wondering if firefox automaticly saved the warning for all visitors that where on my website when it was infected, and so that they still see the warning when they want to visit my site now? if yes, how can I solve this?thank you a lot for your answer!regards Steven
