Where is my white at?

i just had to replace my computer and upgrade so then i had to upgrade from elements 2 to elements 12. its been a nightmare!! anyway, at the moment, where is my white? the color white is yellow. can anyone help, please??

Bought a MacBook Pro last Wednesday and I have one really nagging question…

It might be just you. I believe I found the very same stickers you are asking about tucked in with the usually documentations and restore CDs. As I can remember they were located in the packet marked "Everything Else" included in the envelope holding the restore CDs themselves.

The iPhoto app provided an adjustment for white balance, if Photos in ios8 is a major update and replaces iPhoto, where do I find the white balance adjustment?

Do you just have to eyeball the correct adjustment rather than have it done autmatically?

Where is the White Charging Case for the Lumia 102...

I just purchased a white Lumia 1020 (which looks amazing!) and can only seem to find the yellow and black versions of the charging case (CC-3066). Any idea where the white version is/when it will be available? Thanks!!

TS2518 Where has the White Balance Setting Temp K gone? I only have a slider "warmth" left...

I just upgraded to Aperture 3.3.1 and the setting to set the white balance to a certain temperature in K has gone...
This is how it used to look:

but now only a setting called "warmth" with a slider and a default setting of "0,50" is left...

Set the drop-down selector in the ""White Balance" brick to "Temperature & Tint". Then you can set again a color temperature.

Where oh where is the white iPhone 4?

That must have been some paint issue with the White iPhone. It's been 5 months and not a hide nor hair of it.
Any ideas or is this a case of vaporware?

Do you really believe that a white phone is soooo hard to make in comparison to a black one? come one pople, it's just paint.
Well, apparently (according to people who know something about manufacturing processes) the problem with the white "colour" (it's not simply paint - the front and back of the phone are glass) is light seepage from around the screen. Since white doesn't block out the light as well as black, they're trying to make a white colour which works but also looks very white (rather than an off-white shade).

White blotch on display when dock is in view..??

When the dock is in view, there is a small white dot ( a lot bigger than a deal pixel) no matter what background i have. When the dock is hidden the white dot is not visible but when the dock comes up again it appears.
Can someone explain this to me?

Have you tried restarting your computer? Also, where is the white dot on the screen? And, create another user account (on Mac OS), and see if the same problem exists on the other account.

White widget text no longer white

I'm experiencing a weird problem with my widgets. Anywhere that white text should appear, it now appears black with a faint outline where the normally white text is antialiased against the darker background color. This affects all the widgets with white text on a dark background, such as the calendar and weather.
Does anyone have an idea what the fix is for this kind of problem?

Adwiz, that's a very common Dashboard problem that has to do with a font conflict, specifically: you probably have a PostScript version of "Helvetica Neue" installed in ~/Library/Fonts. Dashboard uses the Apple-installed version of Helvetica Neue, so if you happen to have another version, it causes the problem you are seeing. The only solution is to disable your version of that font, or to use a font managing program to assign Apple's font to Dashboard, and your custom font for whatever program may have installed it.

White Space between Objects?

Alright,
I seem to be having a problem to where there is white space between objects and no matter how many times I intersect paths I still have white-space between objects. Obviously if you are making some sort of illustration, even a pixel worth of white space could prove to be problematic. I have provided a screenshot of the problem I am receiving. I cannot move the objects together to fix this problem. May anyone please offer advice or a solution to this issue?
As you can see in the screenshot we are seeing white space between the blue and purple objects.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I saved my design as a jpeg and the image is off-center of a larger white frame

I created a document in Illustrator, as I have many times before. I save it as an AI file and I export it as a .jpeg for my use. When I open the .jpeg file, my 8X11 design appears to be in the right hand side of a larger page. The document is set up to be 8X11. Where does this white band on the left come from and how do I get rid of it? It does not show in the AI design.

Yes, but it's a screenshot of the JPEG reopened in AI; not the original Illustrator artwork prior to export. See?
Again, the questions in posts 1 and 2 asked about whether there is something unseen in your original Illustrator artwork prior to export (not the JPEG) which would have the effect of extending your exported JPEG's canvas, as has happened. With the original Illustrator artwork open, selecting all or viewing in Outline mode would help you detect the unseen object(s) and delete them, which would solve your problem.

When pausing playback of sequence the edit window turns white...

...the sequence plays without a problem but every time I pause it the edit window turns white. I output a version and some random shots in the outputted version were also white....and some Motion Mov files where Black and White! I shut FCP down and reopened but the problem persists. Haven't seen this before, any ideas?

Hi, I have a problem involving the relationship between Color and Fcp 7. When I imported my Color grade back into fcp 7 it permanently changed my fcp working file, even the other ungraded sequences. Now when the cursor is static over a clip all that is diplayed on the canvas is white, but when the film plays it plays normally. This is obviously a problem because it is useful to see individual frames when editing.
Furthermore, when I exported the graded sequence from Fcp 7 as a .mov, certain parts were now blocks of white, the first time it seemed to be the parts where there were green unrendered bars above the clips in the fcp file, but then the second time I rendered it all prior to exporting and there were still two areas where it was white in the export, namely the title credit which I had made against a colour solid Matte, and also a greenscreen clip that I had imported from After effects.
The problem now is that it has permanently changed fcp so that all of the working files for my different projects now display as white when the cursor is static.
Does any one have any ideas?

Ah actually just solved the problem, turns out it has nothing to do with Color after all, just on the Canvas drop down menu to the right it was set to Alpha rather than RGB - very simple really!

Infinity extension - What wires go where for RJ11 ...

Hi all,
I had the engineer over today to install Infinity. Everything working good and he left me some CAT5 and an extension box as I want to extend the line to different part of the flat at a later date. However, I fancied doing it now but am having some issues getting the extension to work. I've followed the engineer's instructions which were:
Faceplate off and CAT5 single strand into 2 and 5 on the extension point (orange in 2 and orange/white in 5)
Now I cant' seem to figure out where the orange/white etc goes on the extension box - does it go into 4 and 5? This will be for an RJ11 connectotr o the homehub.

Yep thats what I was trying to say. 2 and 5 is for the phone line. Not the dsl, unless its not filtered.

Camera raw changes color in adobe bridge and photoshop

Hi all, I am quite new to use RAW. I have raw files that I want to edit. Unfortunately, the moment I click on the raw files, the color changes.
Is there anything I should do to the color setting?
I am using a canon 20d and Adobe Photoshop, Bridge CS 3 and Adobe Camere Raw 4.0

The image is indeed rife with red color.
The fact that the embedded JPEG isn't quite as oversaturated with red as Adobe's conversion with the lowest color temperature of 2000 just says that Canon's conversions have more range at the low-end of the color temperature setting.
This is the color from the embedded JPEG. Clearly it's dominated by a reddish-orange color, though not as red as that from Adobe's software.
This is the color from Adobe Camera Raw's conversion at the (low-end minimum) color temperature of 2000:
This is the photo converted with Canon DPP using "click white balance" on the bridge beam on the left:
Note, however, that (though the dropper seems to have incredible range) DPP does not allow you to specifically SET a color temperature lower than 2500K, which yields this color:
The bottom line here is that the "Click White Balance" function in Canon's DPP has far more range than ACR, where even the white balance dropper "mins out" at 2000K.
That's something the Adobe folks may want to look into, to extend the range of ACR's capabilities to suit this kind of IR photography.
