Where is my you tube icon?

The latest version of my I pad has taken away my you tube icon. I don't like it as my favorites are used to be a snapshot image and easy to find under favorites . Now they are alph numerical codes in safari 's favorites! Not good apple,
I hope a new version is on its way to replace as that was my most used app.!!!!

In the mean time you can use the iPhone version. Your Favourite will be in there.

It is gone in iOS 6. Use the Mobil site, download the app from the App Store, there is nothing that you can do about it until Google releases an app for the IPad.
it wasn't a competition thing. They couldn't agree on some other issues.

Ios6 update has done something to you tube icon and now I can't see videos. Flash player required message and a black bar appears when scrolling. Any ideas? I've booked an appointment at the Genius Bar next Saturday but don't want to waste their time

I'm trying to help my sister in law get Itunes on her ipod touch. When I press the itunes icon on the home page it says "cannot connect to the ipod store". Similarly when I press the You Tube icon is says "Cannot connect to You Tube". I'm able to access the web through safari. Any ideas out there? Thanks.

Anybody else have a child with autism who is NOT happy about the new YOU TUBE app with upgrade. Now the ipad just sits there. Unfair of Apple not to give us option to downgrade to old softare.

We bought the Ipad 2 for our son who has autism. It was the first time he had something he was interested in (besides my Iphone) and we were so excited to see him carry around something that he loved. I upgraded to the new software and as everybody as discovered...NO YOU TUBE. I got the new You Tube app but it's so different and hard to use. This has created such a problem for us and besides the games he likes to play....the Ipad is useless. Now it sits and he uses an old phone someone gave us with the old you tube on it. We have this expensive machine sitting there and he is using an old iphone. I myself have tried to get familiar with the new You Tube app and it's so hard to use and doesn't always play videos. Apple is suppsed to be so supportive of the autism community and has sold MILLIONS of products to families affected by autism and now they don't give us an option to downgrade to the old software in order to regain the OLD YOU TUBE icon. Children with autism like things routine and familiar. This is NOT familiar nor is it easy to use. I'm sure we aren't the only family with a special needs child upset by this change.

I can't lock Firefox into safe mode on You Tube.

I use Firefox 24 and have followed all the directions given to me by You Tube in order to lock the website into safe mode on the firefox browser. It works until I close firefox. Once I open it again it doesn't remember the setting and goes back to normal mode. It is supposed to be locked in for that browser until someone logs in under my google account and changes it back. I can lock it in Chrome and IE with no problems. I am about uninstall FIrefox...please help!

Hello Ammonthomas, if you started Firefox in Safe Mode, it will remain in Safe Mode until Firefox is completely closed.
i think an option is to make the site you want (You Tube) one (or the only) homepage and set firefox shortcut to open in safe mode : right-click the firefox shortcut > properties > target > change the target to : "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

Youtube was removed from the list of bundled apps with iOS. You can download the standalone version from the App Store for free.

In the past I had icons on my toolbar for my Yahoo email, You Tube, Face Book, and a lot of other sites that I use a lot, but I can't find where to get them to add to my firefox tool bar.

I disabled acceleration in the flash player by linking to http://kb.mozillazine.org/Flash#Troubleshooting and scrolling to the line that specifically outlined my problem - split horizontal screen with green line - clicked on the flash link then right clicked the flash icon and ticked disable acceleration.
I also uninstalled and reinstalled more programs then I probably need to.

Yes, i found it there. In fact; a logic place...
The second q. means the way you load upo; dirtectly from the menu share to you tube of first make a QT and from there to the sky.
I quess there must be no differance but you never know...

Missing icon you tube

Hi! I received an IPHONE 4S as gift. It was bought it in China.
When I started to use it, the ICON of you tube is missing. How can I recover it?
Also, How can I change the language of google search in safari, because any search is showed in Chinesse.

As far as your youtube goes you will have to download it from the app store. It was removed from the intergration because it was a google product.
If you go to settings>general>international you should have option to change your language.

No sound on you tube videos. The volume icon on video shows an X beside it.

I've tried some of the suggestions on online support, no help. I have never had to "sign in " to use you tube. What is the X by the volume icon on the video.

You Tube videos don't play. The site comes up, but a blank white screen where the video should be.

When I try to play videos from You Tube, I get a blank white screen where the video should be. When I go to full screen the whole screen is white. Originally the white screen happened on the expanded view only.
IE doesn't have the problem, but Google chrome and Firefox 4.0 do.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
