Where is OAM in 11.5.10.2?

I am green to Oracle Applications. We have 11.5.10.2. Where is OAM? and How to start it?
I have the account SYSADMIN.
TIA
Bob

You are right. In R12, there is no direct link for OAM and it can be accessed from "System Administration" responsibility. In 11i, it can be accessed through the link referenced above.

  • Multiple OAM Files are not working on the layout, and  now they are cropping? Need Help fast...

So an early thing since day one with muse has been when inserting HTML the preview is sometimes off, and even the container box is sometimes forced to be similar like a previously installed HTML bit. I figured this new site I am making at work could use some Adobe Edge Animate functions for rollovers and drop downs, and as I set this up I am getting errors the more OAM files I insert onto the page. The previews I was kind of already expecting to not work correctly, but no I am getting a situation where my OAM file will not display properly because of the containing box of the first Element I inserted. Here are some pictures explaining the issues...

This is a huge part of our site, please hurry with a bug fix or please dear god give me some tips for this work around. I am searching everywhere and getting nothing

  • LDAP Sync causes fields in DEV_OIM.SVP to be plain text

In OAM 11g , there is the OIM console. In there you can create users, organizations, roles, etc... When a user is created in the OIM console in 11g, that user is visible in the OID directory via ODSM.
If I create a user in OID via ODSM, the reverse in not true. That user is not visible within the OIM console whereas in OAM 10.1.4.3 a user created in OID was visible in the Identity Server.
I realize there is no "Identity Server" in 11g, but there is OIM which seems to serve a similar purpose (i.e. creation/modificaiton of users, etc).
We have been told to use LDAP Sync. The problem with LDAP Sync is that when we have executed LDAP Sync steps and have tried to follow the steps outlined in Note: 1272682.1, the fields entered are no longer encrypted -- includes password, url, etc. This then causes an issue with modifying IT resources and the ability to create users in OIM.
My question is simply if we change or add a user in our OID directory (or AD or other ldap directory), how do we make it visible in OIM? Has anyone had the issue with LDAP Sync not encrypting the values entered? If so, how did you get past this? I believe the steps in Note: 1272682.1 are probably correct but if the values entered during LDAP Sync are not encrypted, then the synchronization will not complete properly and subsequently any users created in OID will not appear in OIM.

  • Oracle Access Manager, ADAM & UCM integration? Help please..

I`m currently investigating the potential of using Oracle Access Manager (OAM) as a tool that allows connections to multiple Active Directory(AD) or ADAM servers providing a single point to author and manage users with a good easy to use GUI.
The UCM will connect directly to OAM and authenticate users connecting from AD accounts..
At the moment we use Quest software to manage users, but the cost for setting up users is £15/user where as OAM is only £3. I believe..
Right the questions I have :)
    1. Has any one set this type of environment up?
    2. ls OAM stand alone or will I need additional software to set it up?
Reading the installation guide it says I need the following:
    # Oracle Internet Directory 10g (10.1.4.0.1)
    # Microsoft Active Directory
    # Oracle Virtual Directory Server 10.1.4.0.1
    # Oracle Virtual Directory Manager 10.1.4.0.1
    # Oracle Virtual Directory Patch 10.1.4.0.1 (P5667977)
    # Stand-alone Oracle HTTP Server 2.x (This needs to be preinstalled in your environment. You can download the OHS 2.x standalone from the Oracle SOA Suite 10g Companion (10.1.3.1.0) release from here.)
    3. Can I use IIS instead of Oracle HTTP Server?
    4. Can I install OAM on 1 server or do I need multiple servers, I`v been looking at the diagrams and reading through the guides I`m getting a little confused with Identity and Access server?

    Hi,
Have you got information reg UCM & OAM integration?
Could you please help me with the integration guide?

The OAM identity system (identity server and WebPass) sound like a good fit for what you want to do. One constraint is that if you want to create/manage users in different directory instances via a single OAM identity system installation, you would also need OVD.
And yes you definitely can have IIS host the WebPass - OHS, OID etc are not required.

  • Oracle Access Manager 11g Logout :

    Hi,
Can someone explain me the the logout process in OAM 11g ?
The document at [http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28271_01/doc.1111/e15478/logout.htm] doesnt seem to clarify what I am looking for.
What exactly does the parameters Logout URL, Logout Callback URL, Logout Redirect UR, Logout Target URL do ? Which of these are mandatory ?
The default values for Logout Callback URL is +/oam_logout_success+ and Logout Redirect URL is http://oam_server.com:port/oam/server/logout
For eg lets say, I have application A which is protected by OAM11g. This lands me to a page where I have link to other apps say App B protected by OAM11g as well but with some temporal constraints configured.
Now can't I have the logout link in App B, which is configured to take me to http://oam_server.com:14100/oam/server/logout?end_url=http://MyServer.com:port/Loggedout.jsp*. The Loggedout.jsp just has a message saying You have successfully logged out and no logic to clear any cookies whatsoever.
Shouldn't that be enough to kill all the cookies as on the same browser if i copy the link to App A, it does take me back to the login page.
Could someone please explain and help me clear my doubts ?
    Thanks,

I think the definitions in the document are quite clear still here's more simple definitions
Logout URL (both 10g and 11g webgate)- If this url appears the webgate will delete the webgate cookie i.e. obssocookie in 10g and OAMAuthnCookie in 11g
Logout Callback URL (11g) - In 11g by default this will trigger the webgate cookie deletion and display a clock image, you can do other cleanup stuff with this
Logout Redirect URL (11g) - OAM Server logout url where the user will be redirected after logout handler is invoked
Logout Target URL(11g) - Query parameter where the OAM server will send the user after logout
    Now coming to your question...
The logout url from anywhere i.e. http://oam_server.com:14100/oam/server/logout?end_url=http://MyServer.com:port/Loggedout.jsp will work perfectly fine unless you have to do some cleanup from your applications. This process will clear the OAM session OAM_ID cookie and database session. Although webgate cookies are not deleted(in case of 10g webgate), they are invalidated because of the session deletion in OAM server.
However this will not work in case of persistent cookies where the webgate cookies can be persistent while OAM cookie(OAM_ID) is not. The above url in this case will never logout the user from the application.
    Hope this helps,
    Sagar

  • Adobe Muse: where it must be placed .oam file via FTP???

I don't use Catalyst or other Adobe devices to publish my Muse sites, but I prefere to use FTP and add any file to respective folder.
Now I built an animation with Edge and I have correctly obtained an .oam file.
I tried to follow instructions but I'm not able to obtain any result.
Note that when I try the site in local the animation works correctly.
After that I tried to place namefile.html in html folder, namefile.css in css folder and namefile.oam in image folder and it does'nt work.
I tried to create in the main root a new folder with this path:
    /assets/namefile/namefile.html
and the result becomes better because now the frame of the documents appears correctly, but instead of the animation it appears an error alert.
So I suppose that the problem is: where exactly it must be placed the .oam file?
I didn't find any suggestion on the various forums.
    Please can you help us?
    Regards
    Lorenzo

Hello, thank for the time you have dedicated to my question.
In any case I want to explain better the sense of it, regarding to the use of MUSE we are doing, that can maybe interest other users.
We are using MUSE to produce a Ipad/Android digital magazine. We find very helpful MUSE and EDGE to make interactive and multimedial magazines and in the past 6 months we experienced many advanced solutions. We developed a low cost Ipad APP and Android App, fully customizable from users, that are now able to manage a HTML5 source coming from MUSE/EDGE.
Everything works perfectly but, unfortunately, MUSE is not born for magazines but for sites so it does'nt hold some essential features needed for digital publishing. So we have to correct manually some lines in any .css and sometimes add something in html file. Due to this inconvenient we must finish any page, export the relative HTML and, after that, upload it singularly together with css, also because if we should upload the whole site every time we make a change the new re-generation would cover the corrected files.
That's why I ask you the exact path for the folder asset and the other generated file and I can't use the automatic .oam system.
In any case we have found a provisional solution:
    1. we placed the folder "assets" in the main root, together the html file, the css folder and the image folder.
    2. We created inside this assets folder a sub folder for the specific animation, naming (for instance "xxx").
    3. Inside xxx we placed:
    folder "edge includes"
    folder "images"
    file "animation1.html"
    file "animation1_edge.js"
    file "animation1_edgeActions.js"
    file "animation1_edgePreload.js"
    4. In the Muse html file that hosts the animation we used the box "insert HTML" and we wrote the following code:
    <iframe src="assets/xxx/animation1.html" width="1024" height="768"></iframe>
If you have a better way to do that, please let us know.
In any case you can see the preview of the digital magazine at the following URL
    www.piu39magazine.it
and you can see the result of the animation at the URL:
    http://www.piu39magazine.it/vignetta.html
The main advantage of this solution is that a Ipad/Android magazine can be viewed in the same interactive, graphic and multimedial way also in the web, taking advantage of the touch screen in the new forthcoming Hybrids under Windows 8.
Hoping this experience can be useful for other Muse users.
    Best regards

  • How to protect an application running on weblogic through OAM

I have a requirement where in I need to protect an application (URL/root) deployed on weblogic through Oracle Access Manager.
    Here's what I did:
Installed webgate on the Host where the application is deployed.
Configured the webgate on Access System Console.
    Configured the policy domain -
    a) Mentioned the Resource type and URL to be protected
    b) Authentication Type (Basic)
    c) Autherization Rules (Anyone can acess)
Issue: When I try to access the application http://<hostname>:7001/myapp
I expect the webgate/OAM to intercept this request and challenge the user with the basic authentication
but the request is carried through and the Home page of myapp is displayed.
Do I need to do some configurations in the webserver (httpd.conf) or deployment descriptors in the application server to get the authentication?
The application above can also be substituted with Oracle Identity Manager, where I'm getting the same result. I'm able to view OIM Home page without prior authentication. I tried protecting with the following pattern <host variation>/xlWebApp
I am new to Oracle Access Manager and looking for some guidance.
    Thanks

    Hi Joe,
    1. Please elaborate step2 or guide me to a link where I can configure reverse proxy from Apache Webserver to weblogic. I think here's where I'm going wrong.
For more details on proxy refer to these links:
    http://download-llnw.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13222_01/wls/docs90/plugins/apache.html#119517
OHS to Weblogic Reverse Proxy configuration Problem
After this configuration, won't I be able to access the application /myapp running on weblogic through port 7001 and will I have access to it only on port 80 (web s erver default port)?
You will be able to access the application through 7001, but the request will not be intercepted by OAM. The request will be processed directly by your myApp.
    2. I did some reading and found some instructions on using weblogic SSPI plugin. Is this required at all? When is this used?
You can use SSPI Connector if you want to protect the weblogic port. i.e., OAM intercepts the request when you access the application on 7001 port.
    Hope this helps

  • How to protect applications running in Weblogic using OAM

    Hi all,
    I have a doubt,
I have 2 application running in weblogic.
I need to protect those application using OAM and provide single sign on.
    How this can be done?
In the OAM integration guide i saw OAM with BEA Weblogic SSPI
Is SSPI like a connector r what is the use of this?
Is there any other way to protect a application running in weblogic using OAM and provide SSO for those applications
    thanks in advance.

You will need to also add the OAMIdentityAsserter and possibly an Authenticator to get group/role information in the weblogic instances (assuming it's not the same one where OAM is installed).

  • No site2pstoretoken from SSO partner error in EBS - OAM integration

    Hello ,
We have implemented an SSO integration between EBS and OAM. The architecture simply consists of the following elemens.
E-Business Suite 11i with SSO enabled.
    IIS Web Server
    Oracle Access Manager
    Oracle Internet Directory
    Orache Http Server
User types the ebs login page, and is redirected to OAM, OAM pushes IIS to ask for login credentials (or gets this information from domain) , and then authenticates user from OID. Then redirects user to EBS.
This should be the case, but after asking for login credentials, user sees "500 Internal Server" error. And the ssoServer logs the error "No site2pstoretoken from SSO partner" . And if user goes to address line and requests EBS's url again, it works fine and he is logged in the application. I believe there is a kind of redirection problem but I couldn't find out why.. Does anybody faced the similar problem ?
    Thank you
    Kind Regards, Ece

  • Logout does not work in OIM after enabling OAM SSO

We have installed a webgate to protect xlWebApp in OIM. Once the SSO is enabled, the logout does not work in the OIM user interface. How to solve this issue?
Metalink has a solution where we need to add document.location="http://host:port/access/oblix/lang/en-us/logout.html"; in xlWebApp\tiles\tjspLogoffTiles.jsp. This is the logout URL of OAM. Is there any other way so we can have a logout page in the OIM application/server itself?
    Thanks.

    Kevin,
I did what you suggested and initially it looked like it is working but there is slight issue. When I click Logout, it redirects to the logout screen. After logging out when I try to access xlWebApp it prompts for the login (i am using basic authentication). If I cancel it and again try to access xlWebApp, it lets me in without any prompt. This issue is in IE only but not in Firefox. Not sure what's the issue.
Btw, to make the logout screen work, I had to unprotect the following with None Authentication:
    - /xlWebApp/pages/logout.html      (logout page)
    - /xlWebApp/images
    - /xlWebApp/css/Xellerate.css
    - /xlWebApp/css/style.css
    Thanks.

  • .oam file of html5 video trigger code not working in Muse

I simply want to have a video play on page load. I have done the code for a trigger on one <div> to automatically play a video in Edge. The video plays perfectly in browser preview, even with transparency intact! Just the way I want it. The problem is when I insert .oam file in Muse it doesn't work. Other animations of simple objects and key frames work fine in Muse. But, I can make much more beautiful animations for certain elements in After Effects, with transparency and integrate them with elements in Muse. The video, its transparency and other objects work great from Edge to browser preview but not when .oam file is exported and placed into Muse. I know, I wouldn't build an entire site like this, I just want one or two animations to play automatically, with out controls (which I've been able to do), when the page is loaded.
I publish with business catalyst to a my own domain, with Creative Cloud.
Attached is a video where I'm at.
What is the code or method to get to work?

    HI,
Ok. I know that mov is not supported in Firefox nor Chrome, now.
When I put the trigger in Edge to play the .mov file, it works when I preview from Edge to Safari, and not in any of the other browsers. This leads me to think that Safari supports .mov files, with and without transparency.
However, when I try to put the .oam file generated by Edge into Muse and run the page in Safari the video doesn't work. Is this a .mov support with Muse? Does the video need to be uploaded to the Adobe Business Catalyst server? Where I publish my site?
.mov and transparency aside, I can't get any video to play in any browser from the .oam file placed in Muse. Nothing plays in preview nor when I publish in Muse. I get the previews to work from Edge for the corresponding video for each browser. And yes, when controls in put in it says wether the video is supported or not. But I would want no controls and the video to play automatically on page load. Ideally I would like transparency. But I realize that's a browser support thing.  I don't see why all browsers don't support all video types and WITH transparency. C'mon now it's almost 2014! Am I right or am I right? Ok, sorry.
I followed everything in this Tom Green video. Pretty sure all my code is correct.
    http://layersmagazine.com/embedding-video-in-adobe-edge-animate.html
Picture shows code for working .ogv in Edge preview but not from .oam file in Muse in preview nor publish.
Not sure why it won't even show in preview from Muse. But thinking when I publish, the video must have to be local on the publish server right?
Am I missing something? Do I need to insert HTML into Muse, not the .oam?
