Where is "open file" in PDF Portfolio?

How do I get back Open File in the top right corner of a PDF Portfolio I created in Acrobat X?

It's a two step process. First, double-click on a file thumbnail in the portolio to view the preview:
Then when you're viewing the preview, see Open File at the upper right:

When I check the file it shows Zero KB downloaded but the file appears - any suggestions?

I've upgraded from SQL Developer version 1.1 to 1.5 yesterday.
I wonder where the 'open file' menu entry in the context menu of a sql worksheet has gone. Currently I have to choose a database connection separately after the file is loaded.
Second question: Scripts which call subscripts themselves like 'start anotherscript.sql' don't work anymore. Such a call ends up in an error message saying 'Unable to open file...' It seems to me that SQL Developer doesn't search for the subscript in the directory of the main script anymore. Do I have to use absolute paths now if I want to work with version 1.5???

This is a TERRIBLE design, I'm rolling back to 1.2. If I open a script that runs other scripts in the same directory, I cannont keep setting my preferences script directory over and over each time I go somewhere else on my hard drive.

Opening files with PDF Bookmarks

I've set up bookmarks on a PDF to open to other PDFs, but when these PDF files are transferred to another computer, the bookmarks no longer work. Is this because the path I've set up uses the folders and file structure on my computer and if transferred to another computer, the path is not there and the bookmark doesn't work?
Is there a way to fix this?
I want the different sections of a PDF to be separate files so that the user can print just the pages of the section in the bookmark. Is there a better way of doing this?

Have you tried creating a PDF Portfolio and then it wouldn't matter where the portfolio was moved to?

My PDF & Excel workbooks won't open in a PDF Portfolio...

I select "Open file" or "Open with native application" and nothing happens.

I am using Acrobat XI Pro. I create a Portfolio by selecting files from a folder on my computer. Files consist of Word, PDF and Excel docs. I can open most of the documents if I want to edit them in the Portfolio.
There are a couple of PDFs that show up grayed out and when I open them, each page is gray. Could this have something to do with the way the doc is saved as a PDF? Is there something that the person who is saving/converting the doc should be doing differently?

Acrobat 9 Pro converting multimedia files in PDF Portfolio

I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and it says that it can convert multimedia files in a PDF portfolio
but when I try to convert wmv files in gives me a conversion error. The user's guide clearly outlines that this program can convert multimedia files - MOV, AVI and WMV files to PDF files within a PDF Portfolio. Am I missing something? Why won't this work?

You have not indicated what version of AA9 or OS you have. The current version is 9.5.5. You can do updates from the Help menu usually. If that fails, download updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and install them in order.

Where is "open file"? it was in firefox on old pc but not on new pc

With old pc I clicked on file menu on firefox & selected "Open File..." to bring up files on my pc for printpreview before posting them to my website.
But with my new pc there is no Open file option.

Does anyone know how to open a PDF file separate from the
browser. I need the file to open in adobe, brand new window, not in

The Download site says: "Please click the button below and select “save” when prompted to download the files to your computer.* To add your content, simply open Acrobat XI and follow the instructions."

However, there is no "File>Create>PDF Portfolio" menu option...

Acrobat Standard can't make Portfolios; you shouldn't have been offered that item when you registered. I suggest you contact Customer Support and ask for your selection to be reset.

Unable to open PDF portfolio (Error Msg: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in...)

I am having a problem opening an important PDF portfolio document using Adobe Reader (version 11.0.02) for Mac (Mountain Lion version 10.8.3).
When I attempt to open the file, I come up with the error message: "For the best experience, open this PDF portfolio in Acrobat 9 or Adobe Reader 9, or later", and I am unable to view the document. This is becoming very frustrating, as I am attempting to open the document with the new version of Adobe Reader (which I have downloaded multiple times).
If anyone has a solution for this problem that would be very helpful!

Error while opening reports in PDF

Hi,
I have few reports which i open in PDF format. But when i try to open the report i get the following error message.
Adobe Reader could not open "file name.pdf" becasue it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
Earlier it was working fine, but today its not working.
Any help would be really appretiable.

Another thing to consider is the data that your report contains. It's possible that the data within the report output contains special characters that are causing problems with the well-formedness of the XML.
I would look at this closely in a case where the reports were running fine and suddenly they stop. Especially if you have a pretty decent amount of DML traffic in the application.

Acrobat X Pro PDF Portfolio does not display video correctly

SWF file, also SWF file converted to PDF
I am trying to place an SWF file in a portfolio so that the first frame of the video will be visible as the user pages through the portfolio. All I see is a white screen. When I double-click it and then then click "open file" the PDF version at least plays fine. But I can't seem to get the preview to display correctly.
Can anyone provide any help?

How do I correct a problem with PDF Portfolio Links

Problem with links.
Converting a page from MSWord to PDF is presenting problems:
I have changed preferences to deselect the Convert Word Bookmarks option;
The straight conversion retains the links;
Adding the file to PDF portfolio breaks the latest link;
Using the link tool and go to page option tries to open the page (file) but I receive instruction to download Acrobat Reader 9 (I already have the latest reader installed (9.3), have checked it and repaired it);
Attempting to download the Reader (I cannot move on – the page is full screen and will not be minimised) the download is blocked at the end.
I have rebuilt the Portfolio from scratch but the problem persists.
I have run a full (extended) bench test on all my hardware – no significant problems found.
MSWord docx. saved in html and converted back to MSword
New doc converted to PDF with minimum preferences
Converted doc copied to portfolio
No change
Portfolio opened in PDF reader
No Change
Acrobat 9.3 uninstalled and replaced with original Acrobat 9
No Change
PDF Printer driver checked – OK
Full virus scan run
The Portfolio updating from MSWord is a procedure which I have repeated many times in the past without any problem.
I cannot move forward, all attempts to solve the problem have failed.
