Where is paired list of keyboard text shortcuts & phrases?

Does anyone know where the paired list of text shortcuts and phrases for text substitutions exists in Mavericks?
e.g. when I type: omw
I get a spelling popup that allows me to substitute with: on my way
This file must live in the ~/Library somewhere....
Thanks

Do you really not understand
On the toolbar at the top of your Mac, on the left there is a small black Apple, click it, you will get a menu that includes these words 'System Preferences' If you click that entry a panel will open with lots of choices. Keyboard is one of those choices, the item you want is in there, on the tab labelled 'Text'
That is where you should make the entries
You are insulting; I DO UNDERSTAND.
You are just refusing to answer MY question.
I know where to do these One at a time in System Preferences.
I want to look at the system file, not the system preferences interface.
YOU are insulting and abusing me, trying to force me to do things like you are the self-appointed Sheriff of my computer. You do this often and condescendingly. I do not want your answers any more Csound1, thank you.

  • Is there a way to make keyboard text shortcuts work better?

For example: omw = On my way!
On iOS these work accross the board, but on OS X they only seem to work on certain applications. Such as TextEdit, but have limited or no use in other applications. They work ok in the URL bar in Safari, but try to use them in a text field (such as the one I'm typing in now) and they don't work. It's especially irritating when I try to log into a website, and I can't use my custom shortcut for my email address. I can easily do this on iOS, but not OS X.
Is there any way I can get text shortcuts to behave better on OS X, or is this a hopeless dream...
If you don't know how to access them, it's:
System Preferences -> Keyboard -> Text (OS X)
General -> Keyboard -> Shortcuts (iOS)
It's great that they sync accross both platforms, but it's pointless if I can't use them on properly on OS X.

Sounds like you did this on the fly.
MM is supposed to open the Marker Panel Dialogue
    M just sets a marker
Not sure if either are intended for on the fly during playback .
There is also a Marker Icon on the Source Window Pane  >>

  • Creating text shortcuts

Where do I go to create text shortcuts on iPhone4?

I created a shortcut using the above in iPhone 4, OS 6.0.1 and it does not work in messaging, nor does it work in Mail.  Even the pre-entered shortcut for "On my way" (OMW) doesn't work.  ?

  • How do I generate a list of keyboard shortcuts for any given application

I want to generate a list of keyboard shortcuts for all of the applications I have on my Mac. I want the list to be a simple text (or rtf) file that I can edit and organize. (By edit, I don't mean change the shortcuts, only the report of them.)
I was using Key Cue, but it does not let me save the list to a text file.
I want this for several purposes. One is to have a easy to reference list of shortcuts to learn. Another is to find unused key combinations that I can use for my own keyboard shortcuts that I create with DefaultKeyBinding.dict.
Note: The program doesn't have to an OS X app. A program that runs from a shell without a GUI is plenty adequate.
If there is a way to read the keyboard commands from a plist list or other such file, and any of you know the format for these or where I can find them, I can write a Perl script myself to do it.

Well, the info is stored in...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.universalaccess.plist
PlistPro has a way to convert it to ASCII, but you'll srtill have work to do, as...

  • Where can I find advanced keyboard shortcuts?

The "Shift" + "Right Click" is a shortcut to the Tools pallete, which is not listed in LabVIEWS help. Are there more shortcuts like this that are not listed in LabVIEW? If so, where would they be documented?

The LabVIEW 7.0 Help contains a more complete list of keyboard shortcuts in LabVIEW. This same list also is located in the LabVIEW Quick Reference Card shipped with LabVIEW 7.0. If you don't have LabVIEW 7.0, you can access the card on our site: LabVIEW Quick Reference Card
I see that the Shift+right-click shortcut is not listed, so I'll make a note of that for us to add in a future release of LabVIEW. If you have feedback on content missing from the LabVIEW Help or manuals, you can send your feedback to us directly at [email protected]

  • Where are System preferences- Keyboard- Text settings saved?

I am trying to find the Settings of my System preferences->Keyboard->Text on my drive. I deleted my whole user library, and after reloading i still find my settings in the pane( so my conclusion is they are not in the ~/Library location. Does anyone have any idea where these settings are saved on the hard drive?

    Hello Eric,
yes, restart is done after removing the user library. Still, the shortcuts are in the system preferences pane.
To explain why I'm after these files: I'm not trying to clear the settings, i'm actually trying to find the file, so i might safe/load them on different users.
My biggest bet did not work: ~/Library.
Is there any other location where I will find saves user settings?

  • Full list of Keyboard shortcuts?

Where can I find a complete list of Keyboard Shortcuts for After Effects 7.0 ? (and possibly Premiere CS2 if you'd like to throw that in your answer as well)
I've visited the keyboard shortcuts section of After Effects Help, but it is broken up into chunks, and doesn't seem to be complete - I would love to find the be-all end-all list of default shortcuts for them. I tried a search in the knowledgebase, but came up nil.
Basically I'm looking for more shortcuts for moving around my timeline like moving the cursor to the in/out-point of a layer within the timeline, etc. and more
    Thanks all

The keyboard shortcuts section of After Effects 7 Help was only about half complete. The
"Keyboard shortcuts" section of After Effects CS4 Help on the Web is 100% complete. So is the
CS3 section. The shortcuts haven't changed much from one version to the next, so you should be able to use these later documents for After Effects 7 in this context.
Here's the search that I used to find the section on navigating in time:
Click this to execute a search that finds the shortcuts for moving in time.
Regarding your criticism about the list being broken into chunks: I think that you'd find it much harder to find anything in a list of 800 items that was not broken into chunks.
BTW, be careful what you ask for when you ask for printed shortcut reference cards. There are nearly 800 keyboard shortcuts in After Effects. Printing these all takes many, many pages. So a printed card is necessarily only a subset. And then people get confused and assume that those are all of the keyboard shortcuts, and we get peppered with feature requests for shortcuts that already exist.

Nope, I doubt it.  As I said:
I disabled Aero theme, checked font scaling was 100% and rebooted Windows in between all of the steps to no avail.
I've been reading a lot around this and it seems the arrow key problem is a red herring; I think it's just some kind of terminal preferences corruption.

  • Hey, where is there Puppet Warp keyboard shortcut?

There are plenty, I mean, plenty of keyboard shortcuts in Ps CS5/CS6 but, where is the Puppet Warp keyboard-shortcut?? It doesn't seem to exist... At least, I can't find it nor can I create a Puppet Warp custom keyboard-shortcut, as well. What gives Adobe???

Hi, Photomagneto! Welcome to the forums.
Like you mentioned, there are a TON of keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop, which makes it very difficult to assign new features a shortcut. However, there is a nice feature that allows you to create your own!
Under the Edit menu, you'll find Keyboard Shortcuts at the bottom. Once you're in there, you can find the Puppet Warp feature under the Edit submenu, and you can assign it a shortcut.
    I hope this helps!
