Where is Photomerge in PSE11?

elements 11,, brand new right out of the box. the only reason i bought this was for the photostitch. its not on the menu. i go to "file" "new" and photomerge is not there. ive tried quick, guided and expert mode with no luck.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have to be in the Expert Mode and then look under Enhance>Photomerge.
(adobe moved it in pse 11)
(in the guided and quick the photomerge panorama is greyed out though the other photomerge items are not)

PSE11 crashes when I try to do a photo merge

When I select photomerge, panorame PSE11 stops working and closes. I've tried to reinstall but that didn't work.
Background:
Because of a disk drive failure in Dec I had to reinstall PSE11. Since then when I'm in the organizer when I go to the editor the photo doesn't open in the editor. I have to manually go open the photo.
I think this has to be a system problem as it doesn't happen on my laptop. Does anyone have and idea where I can look.
I'm on Windows 7, 64bit.

Multi-Row panorama with Photomerge ...

Hi,
does somebody has experiences with stitching multi-row panoramas with CS4's photomerge?
I always ended up with a very strange viewpoint somewhere into the sky instead of a straight horizont. It's somehow understandable - where should Photomerge know the horizont and the desired viewpoint from.
So, are there any tutorials or hints how to create multi row panoramas with Photomerge - I searched a lot but didn't find any usable. Or do I have to use another tool like PTGui?

Yes, the first row are image in the orthognal plane around the vertical axis. Stitching them together result in a normal horizontal 360 pano.
But I've a second row above the first one from the upper parts of the sourrounding. And using Photomerge they are not merged together in a way that places the first row in front of the horizont is still the same as for the first row - what's clear, because PS does known nothing about those semantics.

What can be done if clean edge feature in doing panoramas will not function in pse10 or 11?

I am using photomerge in pse11 or 10 and stitching 6 images together using auto. The image has come out fantastic,but the edges will not fill in when checking use clean edge feature as i get the error message that it will not work due to too much Ram? The 6 files are about 25m apiece and the final psd image is 354m which is a gigantic file. Is
there a way to get this to function or do i have to use the clone stamp etc. to fill in the blank areas on top and bottom of my image. I transferred the images from lr5 as tiff files to pe10 etc. Thanks!!

Yes, that's very common. You can try upping the available ram in the preferences to about 90% (not 100%), or you can use smaller images in your pano.

How to open .pmg file in PS CC

I am unable to open .pmg file in that I reconstructed in CS6.
Here's the process in CS6: File -> Automate -> Photomerge -> Choose .pmg file -> Open
I was unable to generate the complete image because the old pc was 32-bit.
I then bought a new 64-bit pc just for this purpose, and I have to download the Photoshop CC.
In CC, after I chose the .pmg file, nothing showed up.
I tried to reconstruct the image again, but the new program in the brand new pc kept crashing ("NOT RESPONDING").
Can anyone help with this problem?

You must be on a Mac. In Windows CS6 you can try to select an old Photomerge.pmg file but it will not get selected. PC CS6 can not open old Photomerge composition files. PC users need an older version of Photoshop where the Photomerge dialog has an open composition button.
Adobe may be dropping support for .pmg files. I still see some code in the CS6 Photomerge script for .pmg but it all seem to be for the Mac. You should save you Pano in CS6 as PSD file to be on the safe side.

Error # 1 can not open window

when i try to do a pano thru photomerge in pse11 on a mac i get the message error 1 can not open window. this was after i tried to fix error 22. i held down the com,option,shift keys just after a started photoshop aditor. help steve

Photomerge function does not appear in "File New" menu. Where is it?

I cannot find the photomerge function in PhotoShop Elements 11. It used to be found in File > New > Photomerge, but now it does not appear there. Where can I fine it?

In PSE 11 those have all moved to the bottom of the Enhance menu for some reason.

Photomerge problem in PSE11

I am working my way through book PSE11 Classroom in a Book. I am at the chapter dealing with Photomerge. I chose the photo's followed the instructions choosing Enhance- Photomerge- Photomerge Panorama. Immediately a warning came up Error 19: Invalid source format: Error in line 0, at character offset586, in {. The programme then freezes and I have to Force Quit to shut it down. I am running PSE11 on a Mac os system Snow Leopard have had no problems up until now. I have also completed the same exercise on my laptop running windows with no problems. Can you offer any advice - Please. marlets15

I think I found the best solution for this file (other than going over the seams with a partially transparent rubber stamp). I unchecked blend images together box in the interactive layout, and then blended each of the 4 sections two at a time (the top two, them merged them and auto blended the bottom right quarter, then did the same to the last left hand corner bit. I had to undo, then I repositioned the sections a couple times (after one section turned a lighter shade; or had a white line between it and the section it was meant to join) ...and then I retried the auto blend. It finally worked.

In PSE11, where do I find the "Content"?

I installed PSE11 today. I wanted to place several frames onto a photo background. In older PSEs I could find Content under the Window tab betweem Color Swatches and Effects. I do not find Content under any of the usual tabs. If you have found it, please post where it is. Tnx.

Camera Raw in PSE11 does not support Nikon D610 NEF; all software updates done accomplished - which Camera Raw version to download and where to find?

Just bought a new camera (Nikon D610) and found out that Camera Raw in Photoshop Elements 11 does not support the RAW (NEF) files. Works fine with the Nikon D5200. PSE11 states that it's up to date. Support documents on Adope Website do not help at all. Some say the D610 is supported other say it's not. If I have to update Camera Raw, which version do I have to use for PSE11? Where can I find the download file?
I find it somehow strange, that it's not possible to contact the support in a common way, but have to use this Adobe Community. Anyway, if it works... :-)
Would be great, if someone could give me a hint, how to solve the problem.

Just got the new PSE12 and found out that Camera Raw 8.4 plug in can not be installed, if the system runs on Vista!
So I got a new Nikon camera, new software (which can not be send back) and it looks like that I will need new system software and probably a new PC... :-(

Where has the File Name sort gone in PSE11 ?

I have recently migrated to PSE 11 from PS 9 and am annoyed that the filename sort seems to have disappeared in PSE 11 Organizer (it was Display-Folder Location in PS 9). Does anyone know how to sort images by filename in Organzier 11?
Now the only sort is chronological which is a pain for building a story-board for eventual migration of images to non-Adobe apps such as Pinnacle Studio. While the labelling features of Organizer are wonderful for those that like to spend days micro-managing their images, the reality of the native (ie Windows) file structure remains and is the only compatible file structure understood by other apps. There is no reason for Adobe to drop the filename sort option in Organizer - please bring it back !!

My iPad is a first generation so it on IOS 5 and I am running iTunes 11. Shows up for me as I said above. Maybe somebody else knows whay it doesn't work for you.
Probably try all the usual suspects Power on and Off for ipad 9 Not Standby, hold down Power button until a red slider appears. The when off keep it pressed for 2-3 secs and iPad will reboot.
Also switch of iTunes and Computer and the switch back on.
Never know it might help certainly wouldn't hurt

How can I find an Interactive Photomerge?

In Photoshop Elements 2, I used to make jpeg images for printing that had, e.g. two images side by side on a 6x4 print, or 9 images in a 3x3 arrangement for a 10x8 print (See example below).Because they were images of different subjects, Photomerge used to give the option of manually placing the images, and of leaving, if wished, a narrow space between one image and the next.
But now, on my new Windows 8 computer, I have Elements 12, where all the options on Photomerge automatically merge images into one blended image. I have looked all through the help menu and reference guide, but there doens't seem to be any way of reproducing the layouts I want. Has anyone found a method to achieve the results I seek, either in Elements or in another program? Or will I have revert to Elements 2 on my old computer - and hope that the old pc doesn't give up the ghost?

Thanks for that info and your prompt reply. The discussion thread made interesting reading, but I only had PSE2, so there wasn't an up-to-date enough Photomerge file to transfer to PSE12. I had a web chat with someone from Adobe last night, but nothing useful came of it, apart from them giving me a link for feedback so I can tell Adobe how very useful their discarded interactive layer was. I have ended up returning PSE12 to Adobe within the 30 day period following purchase, which seemed straightforward enough to do over the phone. In its place, I have just ordered PSE11 from Amazon. Adobe themselves don't sell anything except the current version.

Where does the file CreateImageStacks.jsx belong?

I accidentally threw the CreatImageStacks.jsx in the trash and now I don't know where to put it back. I can't use my photomerge.

The Path written above by 27Prac is absolutely correct in case of Win but for MAC it is not correct.
For PSE11 you need to go to "/Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 11/Support Files/Presets/scripts/stack scripts only/" and place back the CreateImageStack.jsx file here.
But in case you cannot find the CreateImageStack.jsx file in your Trash, then I would suggest you to ask it from Adobe support and then place it back to its location and it will start working fine.

Disable Auto Align in Photomerge

Good day.
So far I got good reply.
For now I wonder, can "Auto Align Selected Layers Based on Contents" be disabled during photomerge?
Why do I want that?
=> First, most of times the auto align result is not good
=> it takes time to wait for window to appear, sometimes hangs
=> When all images are jumbled together, it is like making jigsaw puzzle.
Actually I got used to Photoshop CS2 where I disable auto align check box...
And I manually create the "mosaic" (not just a flat panorama) from images taken from microscope.

You can turn the blending off, but I don't think that automated blending later can be done.
As it seems that you want to do most of the work manually, have you considered just creating a new blank image of the anticipated width and height of your final composite (plus a contingency) and dragging your source files to it to put each one on a layer where you can individually move them into place?
There is a workaround to restore the interactive layout to PSE12 - http://forums.adobe.com/message/5741182. If you don't have access to PSE11 (you need to copy some of the PSE11 files) you can download its trial from http://prodesigntools.com/photoshop-elements-11-direct-download-links-pse-premiere-pre.htm l. Follow their very important instructions EXACTLY or you will likely encounter authorisation errors or download the latest version instead.
