Where is Poynt and Google Maps

Anyone know where or when Poynt will be available on Z10? I used that app constantly on my old Blackberry. Any other good alternatives to Poynt?
Also cant download google maps? Any suggestions? Thx

I have google maps loaded on by Z10 by sideloading it.  Don't use Poynt so don't know if it converts properly but would imagine it does.  Check out the sideloading of andriod apps as there are a lot of apps out there that are not in the BB store that convert just fine.

  • I can't access to Youtube and Google Maps with Safari

    Hello,
    I've a MacBook Pro and I can't go to Youtube and Google Maps with Safari. I've also tried with Firefox but the problem is still not solved.
    Actually, Safari (or Firefox) keeps charging the page but is unable to get it. I always see a blank page. It only happens with these two websites. Other sites are working perfectly.
    I've tried so many things like installing the flash, erasing cookies or cache, installing updates but nothing helped. This is really annoying. Just to give you an example, if I try to localize my MacBook I just can't see where it is as the map is not appearing.
    Can you help me?
    Thank you!
    Mac OS X 10.7.4
    Safari 5.1.7

    Hi CMCSK!
    Thanks for your answer.
    I bought my Mac in August 2011. In the first weeks, I couldn't see YouTube videos which was normal as the flash wasn't installed. I therefore installed the latest version of Abode's flash and it worked well. But maybe 1 month or more later, I don't know what happened: it began difficult or even impossible to load YouTube website. I first thought this was a problem with Safari. I downloaded Firefox but the problem remained the same: impossible to go to YouTube. I followed the instructions to uninstall the flash and to install it again. Nothing helped. I waited for an update for Safari but it didn't solve my problem.
    As I've already said, the browser (Safari or Firefox) keeps loading the page and after 1 or 2 minutes I see "Safari can't open the page because the server where this page is located isn't responding".
    To come back to this:
    if I try to localize my MacBook I just can't see where it is as the map is not appearing.
    Well I wanted to give you an example of the problem itself (with Google Maps here). If I go to iCloud and try to localize my Mac, I can see the green circle but the map is not loaded. I don't know why it isn't working. Whenever there is a Google Map on a website (e.g. a restaurant giving its localization with a small Google Map) I can't see it. I only see a light grey background with question marks everywhere. I also see this grey background when I go to the website of Google.
    I hope you see more what the problem is.
    Thank you

  • Safari and Google Maps are useless

    Safari and Google Maps invariably quit and return to the home screen. They are essentially useless. I tried to empty the cache and history...no luck. I then tried a reset and when it restarted got a message to please connect to iTunes. iTunes told me my phone needed to be restored. A progress bar indicated it was extracting some software and then it was preparing the iPhone for restoration. After some time I got an unknown error message (1603) that said it was unable to restore. I am looking at it as it sits uselessly in the dock with nothing but the apple icon showing. Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone have a solution? Should I just return it to the Apple Store.
    MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.10)
    MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.7)

    James, I'm sorry to say buddy, but you might just have a defective product. If restoring doesn't work there really isn't much more you could do. You can ether wait for the next update, and hope that would fix it, or just take it back to the store and exchange it. You have 30 days from the day of purchase to return the item. Thats my recommendation. GL

  • HELP: CLOSING MAIL AND GOOGLE MAPS

    Dear guys,
    My 3gs suffer from battery drain caused by background 3g traffic data activity.
    Even if I have no background running app, my phone keeps sending receiving huge mb of data.
    I've downloaded from appstore an app, system lite, which has revealed that, between runnin apps, there are mail and google maps. Maybe this colud cause traffic data.
    How can I close them? Obviously, double pressing home button doesn't show these apps running....
    Thanks in advance.

    If double pressing the home button does not show the programs in the bar, they are not running. There is no possible way for them to be running in the background unless they are showing the quick switching bar.
    What is showing in this bar when you double tap the home button?
    Have you tried the basics from the manual or reset, restart, and restore?

  • I am in nanchang jiangxi china but my local weather and google map is showing unknown location so Plz help me

    I am in nanchang jiangxi china but my local weather and google map is showing unknown location so Plz help me

    The weather application is powered by "Yahoo". It doesn't have all cities listed in the database and your city is also not listen. Therefore it's not showing your local weather. You can "ADD" a nearby location in the weather application.
    For the location problem, turn the location service "OFF" & "ON". Restart your phone (by long pressing the ON & OFF button on top right & slide to tun off). Then use a WIFI connection to run the google map application and locating your position. I hope this will fix the issue.

  • Driving times vary from Maps and Google maps?

    When I plot a trip I find driving times vary significantly from Maps and Google maps.  I wonder what the paramieters are for attaching driving times to routes?  I would hope that it were speed limits.

    Basically it is average driving time. Speed limits is a factor but so is congestion, terrain, weather, construction, etc. Since Apple and Google get their data from different sources, the results are always going to be different.

  • Numbers/Address Book and Google Maps

    I would love to integrate my spreadsheet of addresses or my Address Book with Google Maps.
    Is this possible? Somehow?
    I take a lot of trips across the country and don't always know when I will be driving by my friends. But if I had a map I could glance at to see where they all are, I would know that I could schedule a lunch with a friend halfway or something like that.
    I have heard about MapPoint, but don't know if there is anything like this that is free/affordable/non-MS.
    Thanks!

    Integrating in Numbers would not be automatic. You'd have to format links to assign to each address.
    I've seen plug-ins to use Google maps with Address Book. Try a search on MacUpdate or VersionTracker for Address Book.
    I think one of the features for Address Book in Leopard is integration with Google maps.

  • Phone numbers are not showing up on craigslist and google maps is not working.

    I uploaded the 3.6 version of firefox and although learning a new look and figuring out what changes had been made were doing ok then the other night the power went out it shut the comp down and when my husband started it back up it had him update it again now my first page when I open it shows yahoo instead of ask, and when I use fire fox to open craigslist lots of the post do not have phone numbers showing up on them that does show up if I use internet explorer to view CL. Also, It will bring up google maps but when I put a location in the box to see it on the map and hit the search button it only starts to load the page with the little word loading... in the center above the location search box but then it says it's done. This also does not happen when I use IE. We tried to restore to a previous date (which there were only a couple to choose from, don't know where the rest of them went) but once the comp restarted itself after supposedly restoring it comes up and says it was not able to restore it properly. I did not have any of these problems with the first update to 3.6 but I think the update that was just loaded 3.6.11 or something like that has really messed something up or it's just not right some how.

    Issues with phone numbers not displaying properly can be caused by the Skype extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)
    Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]

  • Iweb 08 and Google Maps

    Hi Guys
    I recently purchased ilife 08, mainly to get the functionality of being able to embed a Google Map into my website. This works fine on my Macbook, but when I try and upload it to my website (not a .Mac address), whilst the page displays with a big "hole" where the Google map should be, the Google map itself does not populate the page. Any ideas if this is a known "bug"?
    Also, my Welcome page worked fine with iweb 06, but in iweb 08, the links to the other pages of my site at the top of the page are not visible at all. I'm currently stuck with my iweb 06 built site and unable to take advatage of the updated 08.....
    Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks!

    When you publish, iWeb '08 generates three items that were not present in iWeb '06.
    They are...
    feed.xml
    Media
    Scripts
    Make sure you have uploaded them to your server.
    Are you talking about the navigation menu not showing in iWeb or on the published site?
    If it's not present in iWeb make sure that the "display navigation menu" box is checked in the "page" inspector.
    If it's not on the published site make sure you have uploaded the file I mentioned above.

  • Google video and google maps?

    do either of these work on ipod touch, i know the iphone has a google maps app.
    but can u just go to www.maps.google.com on the ipod touch and it will work?
    wut about google video?

    Correct, they don't need Java. They are 100% Javascript/images based. Might be some jsp on the server end, but nothing on the user end.
    Now than, Google maps need double click and hover events to work right. Because of the Touch's interface, neither of these events are available. So maps are crippled, at best.
    If you look at the map at http://www.BoyneUSAResorts.com, it is a sample of some linking that does actually function. What you can't do is zoom in, or drag the map. Oh well, small price to pay. And this is why the Google Map app is on the iPhone.

  • NB 6.1 and Google Maps

    I've looked all over and can't seem to find tutorial on Google Maps for NB 6.1 There is tut for NB 5.5 but it can't be applied to NB 6.1 as Netbeans developers said themselves:
    -  No Support for Ajax Sample Components
    -  Google Map - Planned for futureI've tried to work with NB 5.5 but the tut for Ajax Map Viewer isn't working quite right and the map component is the reason.
    Ajax Map Viewer component does not work properly under NetBeans Visual Web Pack 5.5.1.
        Description: The BluePrints Ajax complib needs to be updated and re-added to the project for this component to work properly.
        Workaround: To fix this issue:
           1. Update the BluePrints Ajax Components library from Update Center as described in Downloading and Importing Ajax Components.
           2. Remove the BluePrints Ajax Components library from the project: Under Component Libraries, right-click BluePrints AJAX Components (0.1.1) and choose Remove.
           3. Add the newly updated BluePrints Ajax Components library: Right-click Component Libraries and choose Add Component Library.
           4. Undeploy the web application.
           5. Stop the application server, clean and build the project, and restart the application server.
           6. Redeploy the web application. Tried it and now sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Am I forced to abandon NB if I want to develop google map type of app?

    Hooo, speew, you are optimistic.
    I've definitely got the problem: ultra slow redraw, takes up to 40 seconds to activate when you click on an action such as 'directions from here' in a contextual menu, takes 30 seconds for a route to be drawn, takes 10 seconds for a zoom change, and more. 10 seconds may not sound like a lot, but to give you a reference, 90% of voicemails left are only 4-6 seconds. Give it a try.
    That's all without satellite view or any other services options turned on (hotels, show me etc)

  • MapViewer and Google Maps

    Hi
    The MapViewer 11g manual refers to MVGoogleTileLayer. Is it possible to access this layer via MapViewer by using a <map_tile_theme map_tile_layer="???"/> within a <theme> of a <map_request>? I've read the docs and searched as best I can, but everything points to using JavaScript and I would like to do it via a map request.
    Many thanks
    Mike

    Hi Mike,
    this can be done if you use the latest patch (10084760). Basically the steps would be:
    1) On the web administration page, create an external tile layer of type Google maps. You will need to set your key parameter.
    2) To test your tile layer, you can select it on Manage Map Tile Layers web page, and click on the "View Map/Manage Tiles'.
    3) Then you can go to the Requests page and try a map request. For example:
    <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?>
    <map_request
      datasource="mvdemo"
      width="630"
      height="367"
      transparent="true"
      istilereq="true"
      antialiase="true"
      format="PNG_STREAM"

      <box>

      </box>
      <themes>
        <theme name="tile_theme" datasource="mvdemo">
          <map_cache_theme map_cache_name="google_map"
                     snap_to_cache_scale="true" />
        </theme>
      </themes>
    </map_request>Joao

  • InDesign and Google Maps

    I have an Indesign file that I need export into a PDF format to be access on a Smart Board. However, I have embedded a google map into the file using the folio overlays. What is the best way to export the file and still be able to actively use the map in the file's final form?

    Hi,
    basically it's peanuts;-)
    This is not a sarcastic answer, but your question is answered in detail in every DPS help resource available.
    To start with, there is an official Adobe DPS help, Bob Bringhurst's great DPS Tips app, and Bob Levine's new Lynda course (not just for beginners).
    Please search for the links yourself, you will find them without problem. But if you never worked with DPS before, there is some learning curve ahead of you.

  • Help with BC and Google maps integration

    Hi, I am considering going for the paid option of BC so that I can have access to the web apps.  But before I go ahead, I have  a few questions for someone who may be able to help.
    I am building the site on adobe muse - this is not the latest version of muse as I am working on an windows 7 computer.  Would all the BC web apps work on the site for all it is not the latest version?
    Also, the thing  I am really interested in is the ability to do an interactive map, building pins etc at the back end - is there any tutorials that anyone can point me to to help possibly with styling of say the little pop up box?  I have watched the AID+BC muse and BC dynamic duo webinar on aidbc already, but wondered if there was more tutorials that would help.
    Also, is it possible to use a stylized map, or do you have to go with the default google map?  If you can use a stylized map, how do you add this to the BC web app.
    Sorry for so many questions, but need to know before I make the leap onto a paid BC option.
    Many thanks for anyone who can help
    Michele

    HI Michelle,
    Muse can not and does not utilise or have access to all that BC is. It does not give you access to the layouts and things like eCommerce and Web apps in the full ability sense. You can build interactive maps with the google API, web apps as the source of data, using the address lat and long or geo location ability etc But its not something you can do really Muse on its own.

  • Geometry theme and google maps not aligned

    Hi guys
    Sort of new to this. Here goes!
    I have created a theme loaded via mapviewer as .shp file, and it looks great. The problem I have though is that I use google maps as a base map, and they are not aligned.
    What have I done wrong - any ideas? Im on OBIEE 11.1.1.7.0 but have just downloaded 11.7.1 which I will install shortly.
    You can see a pic showing what is wrong here
    Any feedback would be appreciated!
    Best regards
    Jacob

    You haven't done anything wrong.
    It needs additional config in the database to specify the appropriate coordinate conversions.
    This is discussed in detail in other forum posts and a little bit in the blog post
