Where is Premiere Pro CC8.0?

Hi, I'm a pro editor who switched from FCP7 to PProCC about 6 months ago after upgrading my workstation to accomodate the CC suite.
As much as I'm enjoying working with PPro, there are still a number of fundamental bugs/glitches that are a constant source of frustration. Now that Adobe has the captive audience of FCP deserters, I'm really hoping PPro will be tightened up with the next CC version (v8?).
Any ideas on when we can expect the next major update? I know many of the v7 bugs have been cleaned out with varying results but there still seems to be a bit of work to be done on Adobe's behalf.
Apologies if this is a redundant question.

Will the new Clould delivery model see a continuation of periodical, incremental updates rather than major updates?
Thats the deal ....but no one will know whats coming or when.
There still seems to be many glitches involving audio/audio playback such as noisy artifacts, sound dropping in/out while playing back, etc.
A select few get this. Not me or a general rule for most. Take that FWIW.
Suseptibility to crashing seems comparitively high compared to FCP7
FWIW: Mac Users seem to have more issues with Premiere than PC users (from anecdotal evidence.)
Also, I think the PPro interface still needs some tidying up.

The dynamic linking between PPro/Speedgrade/After Effects is cool but far from being without problems.
I dont ever us Dynamic Link . Others are fine with it. Some are not. There are other workflows for better stabilty. eg DI
Direct Link is a great new developing technology that I have more faith in. Doubt it will work with AEFX though.

Premiere Pro vs FCP X or Media Composer ??

Ok folks, I have been an Avid professional and presently a Final Cut Pro 7 professor, producing over 100 projects annually since about 2006 or so and at present am suffering with an EOL (end of life) labeled FCP 7 (in FCS3) and have reached a delima. The natural would be to move to the new FCP X but if any of you have gone to the Apple Forums lately you read the HORROR stories with the development therein.
Hence, I am considering a switch to "something" and would like to know where Adobe Premiere Pro fits in the logic as I have heard that with CS5 and now 5.5 and even more recently 6.0 Adobe has raised the bar of professionalism. Can a few of you comment on the validity of this bar increase? And hopefuly at least a few or some some who have actually used FCP or MC?
Thanks in advance to all who respond, as this decision will mark a BIG move for me. One thing I could add already is that a move to Adobe would put all my editing (photos and videos) in one compatible box as opposed to getting things in and out of formats across various manufactures (Avid, Apple, Adobe (hmmmmm they all begin with A)

so im wanting to see if adobe is that software that will work or take another look at avid where we were before jumping ship for the nickel diming us to death with upgrades while taking parts and pieces out of the software during the upgrade without telling us. i had 3.0 with boris, sorrensen, script sync, and more but with the upgrade to 4.0 for several hundred i lost all three of those biggies that were alone worth a couple grand. i was so distraught i thought i was dring to tweksbury or however it is spelled. but alas i just went to fcs2 and then to fcs3 and was happy as could be. when fcpx was announced and came forth i was soooooooo excited EXCEPT in shell shock from avid's adventure AND now experiencing apple's move with fcp x and abandoning us fcp7 users completely without hardly a discord, im reluctant to move to anyone quite frankly.
ive been watchign these past couple years how adobe has had 5.0, 5.5, and now 6.0 and very concerned that while they might be at least leaving in the parts and pieces of the orginal "buy" its somewhat obiously that they suck 20-50 bux a month (350 or so / 12-24 months) out of an editor for upgrades.which i don't like.
the only other obious choice is grass valley's acquisition of edius . . a software that is very functionable and very capable AND i believe one of the easiest and best multicam set ups around . . and again we do 80% of our projects in multicam.

Where can I find a printable visual cheat sheet for Premiere Pro CS6? Like this one but for PC rather than Mac. I mean showing the shortcuts for each key not just a list.

i had dozens of clips, a few titles and a couple mp3 files..... the timeline layers are there, with no files, and my project file is empty......
all of my media sources are connected to the computer.....
will i need to start over?

As long as you saved the changes in your project, you should be able to see it there. A few times i have seen a similar issue happen where Premiere would not open the sequence you were working on the last time. Make sure you have the right sequence open. You can search for the right sequence in the Project Bin.
Using the trial version is not the problem.

There's a Scene metadata property. If it's not already displayed in the Project panel, right-click any column header, select Metadata Display, and check Scene under Premiere Pro Project Metadata.
If you prefer to work through the Metadata panel, Scene is listed in the Clip section. In case it's not displayed, right-click the Metadata panel's tab and select Metadata Display.

Where do the auto save in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014?

I was just working in Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2014 and my computer shut down for some reason. I know my project had been auto saving throughout this morning, so I imagined there would be a backup of my project somewhere on my computer, but I couldn't find it in the usual places. Thus I wonder if CC 2014 is automatically configured to save somewhere in the cloud. However, when I check my files in the cloud, it says they are empty. Any suggestions for where to look so I don't have to lose the past few hours of my work? Thanks!

Go to Project Settings/Scratch disks.
There you will find the path where the auto saves are located.

Premiere Pro CC2014 I download encore unzipped where do I put file. It stated no installer.

I have old Premiere 8 and 9 on my computer.
Now I installed Premiere Pro CC 2014 which doesn't have Encore or templates for titles with it. I have downloaded the Encore cs6 which is .exe file but when I double click it states their is no installer. It needs to be put into the folder with the other files that have the installer included with them. I can't find that folder. I am using a 30 day free trial and I haven't yet been able to complete one movie to DVD. 6 days gone already!

I posted about the same problem (TickTime.cpp-290 error) in another thread, but since you're asking here specific questions to resolve it, I'm answering it here.

What were you doing when this error started to occur?
          Nothing special I remember. The only thing I do recall, is:
          I was working with Premiere Pro (where the main project is), After Effects but rendering some PNG sequence, and Adobe Media Encoder. I sent from AE to AME a project to render. Configured 2 outputs (PNG & MP4). The same way I sent from PP a project to render and one error occured. Unfortunately I didn't write down the error, but it was like a path C://AME_64/something. But the AME queue updated and everything seemed OK. I close AME to be sure that the error wouldn't be the source of future error during rendering, and relaunched it. And at that time I couldn't open it. I got the error "Adobe Media Encoder has encountered an unexpected error and cannot continue". The only way I found to resolve this is to remove the directory /Users/%USERNAME%/My Documents/Adobe/Adobe Media Encoder/8.0/". The problem seems to appear when I save the queue. And since that time, Premiere do the TickTime.cpp-290 error.
          Another thing I noticed, don't know if it was there before, is, the AEP file in AME queue setttings displayed framerate as "25 / 29.97 / 30 / ...", a 2 digits number for the framerate. But suddenly (I thought first it was because of the Premiere Pro file being added to the queue, but no because it appended after without it), it was displayed as "25 000 / 29 970 / 30 000", a 5 digit number.
          After that, the TickTime.cpp-290 appeared. Sometimes when opening project, sometimes and resetting or changing the workspace (because it was messed up), sometimes when closing.
Do you have iCloud installed?
          No.
Is this a Premiere Pro CC 2014.0 or Premiere Pro CC 2014.1 project that was updated to Premiere Pro CC 2014.2? If so:
          It started long time ago a draft in CS6, but since I reopen the project, I saved new versions in Premiere Pro CC 2014.2 (not sure if I have other version like 2014.1 or 2014.0). Is there a way to know which 2014 version are my files? If I look into the XML I only saw Version="28"
Do you have a copy that can be opened in an earlier version?
              An old draft version in CS6. But that version has footage in different framerate and not all be interpreted at the timeline framerate.
Do you get the same error in that earlier version?
               No error here, the file opens properly.
              Additional info: I tried to open the 2014.2 file on another computer (where PP 2014.2 is installed) and same problem (this computer is on Win7 64-bit)
Did you use any unusual footage types in your project?
     I used MOV (Animation), MP4 (H264), and PNG sequence. The framerates of the footages are 24,25,30 and 60fps (but everything has been interpreted in 30fps)
If you remove them, do you still get an error?
              When I had the error, but not when I open the project file, I resave the file removing anything not interpreted in 30fps (because at that time I still had footage interpreted in their original framerate). I was able to work for some time, but now I can't open it anymore despite that.
Was the fps interpretation changed in any of the clips?
     Since the error appeared, and because I saw in another thread that it could be related to footage of different framerate, my timeline is now in 30fps and all the footage have been interpreted in 30fps. Footage are MP4, MOV, PNG sequence in 24, 25, 30 & 60fps.
If so, restore them to their original fps and see if you still get the error.
              Unfortunately, since I can't open the project anymore, I can't test that.

          What do you call browser plug-in in Premiere?
Are there any third party plug-ins used?
          I have Magic Bullet Looks 2, and I'm using it on this project.
If so, remove the effect from those clips and see if it improves the situation.
              Unfortunately, since I can't open the project anymore, I can't test that.
Some additional infos on my computer.
I use Windows 8.1 (64-bit), all Adobe softwares installed have the last update (for video apps, it's 2014.2)
The language settings are configured in French, but Windows and CC apps are in English.

My crop tool isn't visible in the effects controls of Premiere Pro. Where could it be?

I've just downloaded Premiere Pro CS6 and it's all up to date. When I go to the effects controls to crop a graphic the "crop tool" is not showing as in it's simply not there. To be clear, it's not there at all, no selection for a drop down. Is there some where that I need to access to make it show up or what? The motion, scale, opacity, etc are all showing as an option, but not the crop tool.

I just did that write before I read this post. I was going on here too delete this, but saw you answered it! That's exactly what I did. I've been watching tutorials and they show it as if it automatically shows up in Effect Controls...
